Highlights from the entire MCYT Sexyman Tournament

Before the Tournament Began (Nomination Phase):

-Goodtimeswithscar getting over 2000 nominations for the poll

-Two people's minecraft ocs were nominated, and one of those ocs actually got into the competition

-The runners of the poll telling people not to tell the CCs about this, only for every CC to find out about this poll and start rallying their fans to vote for them

-Joe Hills got very jealous that Scar had more votes than him to the point where he literally used Tumblr Blaze to promote himself, and posted a video of him swimming in a pool on his blog

-Technodad also encouraging people to vote for his son after finding out about the polls

The Main Tournament:

-Dream getting absolutely decked by Seepeekay (deserved)

-Clownpierce and Tubbo's poll ending in 50% by 50% where the people running the poll had to go into the polls literal code to find out that Clownpierce won by only 18 votes

-Clownpierce getting beaten out by Aimsey in Round 2 immediately afterwards

-Quackity and Schlatt losing their polls at first, only for people to churn out propaganda, and getting them the wins by very close calls

-The Dominion SMP fandom made alliances with other fandoms (the Lifesteal fandom being one of them) to try and get Vikingpilot more votes

-JimmySolidarity looking at the polls and seeing that someone called him a "wet paper bag of a man"

-Martyn voting for his friends in the polls

-One Tumblr blog made a straight up news channel for the polls

-Someone else also made an easier way to read votes on polls

-Another person converted the voting data into line graphs

-Scott calling Jimmy a queerbaiter when their characters went up against each other

-The Scar vs Techno fight, the Wilbur vs Joe fight, and the Grian vs Quackity fight, all happening in the same round

-Huge amounts of voter fraud

-Grian winning his fight with Quackity, only for Quackblr to change the tides in the last few minutes (perhaps one of the craziest fights I have ever seen)

-The poll made it onto Tumblr trending

-Quackblr made an alliance with the Ethogirls, which eventually led to fanart of Quackity and Etho together, along with a few "infamous" edited photos (you know what I'm talking about)

-The voter fraud in the poll eventually lead to the possibility of Tumblr actually dealing with the pornbot situation

-The whole entire event had powerpoint presentations for peoples favorite blorbos, propaganda, fanart, alliances, even a few written oneshots

-Literally just every poll with Quackity

-Other people made polls inspired by this one (@mcytblrcringefail as one example)

-The fact that the poll literally revived the entire fandom

-The poll became canon in Jimmy’s 30 day Minecraft Hardcore server

-And most importantly, Joe Hills, the one MCYT who did the most campaigning, won the polls against Scar

like i love all forms of c!drunz like i will happily consume the fluffiest gentlest true love etc stuff, but the canon bite of it... c!punz knowing the precise weight of c!dream's heart in their hands as it beats but still not understanding it... hits different...

I think the version of these two dudes that fucks me up the most is truly where they've literally seen each other's insides but were ignorant to each others' true nature and the differences between them until the end. And this goes both ways, with c!Dream never really reciprocating c!Punz's familiarity and with c!Punz thinking he knows c!Dream when he only knows the outer layers that hide the simple vulnerable truth within. The asymmetry, the messiness, the craziness of it all!! I rejoice at it!!!

Same as you I liked me some soft c!Drunz at a time but I can never look at those two the same after the finale, especially knowing how fucking unhinged c!Punz is. He is literally somehow crazier than c!Dream, y'know, the guy who the fandom was talking up as THEEE EVIL EVIL IRREDEEMABLE VILLAIN (I know the fandom is stupid but like, still, lmao). c!Dream at his core cares about the server, meanwhile c!Punz verbally shares c!Dream's goals, but seems to be far more into the whole "knowledge levels above anyone's comprehension level" side of their pursuit than his "boss". Him calling c!Tommy selfish and primitive for literally being suicidal has left a permanent mark in my brain like there is something severely wrong with this man

oh god uh okay. jesus christ here we go. sigrid is c!dream's daughter from one of the alternate (i.e. bad) endings of ouroboros. sam thinks he's her father but neither of them is quite sure because, well. she doesn't look like sam. she looks like this...

there's no deep dark biome on the server, so nobody has ever seen a warden before. they literally do not know what the fuck she is or how to care for her. luckily, dream manages to escape the torment labyrinth when sigrid is a toddler. he takes her directly to phil because phil is like, old as balls. surely this old man knows something about this species, right? wrong.

raising her is challenging. she's completely blind, so she needs help to get around (good thing techno has not one, not two, but two-dozen dogs that can be trained as service animals.) they also discover, when she's around nine or so, that her screams can inflict serious damage on anyone within hearing distance. doomsday trio do their best, and she gets...some semblance of a normal childhood. normal by dsmp standards, anyway.

after their escape, when sigrid's still little, dream meets up with punz again and they continue to pursue their research together. dream leaves for days at a time, then weeks, then months, returning to the arctic less and less frequently. in his defense, it's not his fault he never wanted a kid. he's also got a pretty intense complex around not being seen with her, since he knows any association with him puts sigrid in danger. what ends up happening is that she basically gets raised by c!emeralds. her personality is much closer to techno's than dream's.

needless to say, she and dream have a complicated relationship. i've got about 15k words of him teaching her necromancy collecting dust in my drafts lmao

one of her Big Things is that she gets lonelier as she grows up and realizes there isn't anyone her age around to play with. the closest she's got to a friend is michael, who's a couple years older and has been inducted as a Real Syndicate Member (this is the ouroboros timeline, so sam never killed ranboo.) this leads to her rebellious phase, which involves a lot of exploring outside the perimeter of the arctic with her dogs. she eventually befriends another little girl who's in a similar boat (there are hardly any kids on the server! just boring grown-ups! it's not fair!) and the two of them meet up in secret to go on stupid dangerous adventures. phil and techno never see this other kid and are fully convinced that sigrid made up an imaginary friend to play with. in reality, the other kid is quackity's daughter. so uh. yes, this situation does eventually blow up in everyone's faces.

c!Tommy’s attitude towards c!Dream’s mask and face is really fascinating to me. He found it very uncomfortable and unsettling to look at, as despite its simplistic design, it created an uncanny valley effect. But also, considering it was the last thing c!Tommy saw before each of his deaths, he began to associate it with striking pain and death.

The thought of the inevitability of death and subsequent revival hit him after being revived for the first time in prison and hearing c!Dream's proclamation of willingness to become immortal together.

“Maybe I'll bring you back again- I wanna figure out how this works. I wanna know about death! You know, we could study it- we could study it together. We can become immortal together, by studying it!”

c!Tommy remembered how reluctant of letting him go c!Dream was in exile; he kept him from dying at the time, and now c!Tommy knew that he always will. After all, the teen belonged to him only, and c!Dream wasn’t the type to give away what was his.

“It’s not your time to die yet, Tommy.” “It’s never my time to die.”

The unforeseen shift in c!Tommy’s attitude towards c!Dream’s face is very remarkable as well. The Disc War Finale revealed c!Dream’s true face to the whole server, both metaphorically and literally, and considering c!Tommy chopped his mask, he couldn't hide his face in the prison arc any more. This brings us to the point where the teen was stuck in prison, and couldn't avoid discerning his abuser's face in all its vile inhumanity; he was able to see c!Dream's obsessed smile and mocking look, as well as every tiny shift in his expression, which utterly terrified him.

While being isolated from everyone and stuck with his abuser reminded him of exile, it wasn't exactly the same. In both instances, c!Tommy was able to see c!Dream's face, but his attitude toward it had reached a tipping point. The act of revealing his face to c!Tommy in exile, had a goal of acquiring his trust, and the boy truly appreciated it, as he was constantly looking for any sign of c!Dream's approval. He believed that seeing his friend's face was an honour and a reward, and deep down, he was terrified of facing the mask ever again because it would mean that c!Dream wasn't pleased with him any more, and it was some kind of indirect punishment. However, in the prison arc, c!Tommy would rather face that unsettling mask than the man's face because it revealed him as the monster he really was, and it appalled and repulsed him more than anything. Still, it wasn't c!Dream's cruel, enraged or mocking expression that terrified c!Tommy- he absolutely couldn't bear seeing the man smiling softly and looking genuinely worried about c!Tommy.

OHHHH where to start....

I gotta rewatch that stream sometime and just break everything down line by line but for now something that always sticks out to me is how cdream talks about cfoolish and the power he supposedly holds. Long post ahead

Dream says that he wasn't sure Foolish or the vacation home was real, that the premise of "incredibly powerful person with incredible wealth living peacefully in an incredible land" is inherently unbelievable. He thought Foolish, and his home, was a myth. Which, I think Dream says for two reasons, the primary one being to provoke Foolish. Needle him into potentially giving too much away. He also does this when he calls Foolish "quackity's bitch" before ultimately changing tactics. The second one being, Dream genuinely can't believe something like that exists. Probably more in a "something sinister is hiding beneath it all" way. Foolish and everything he represents is too good to be true.

Foolish is also completely able to hold his own verbally against Dream. This isn't Dream completely powerless in the prison or Dream naive to how people manipulate conversations, this is Dream at his peak when it comes to controlling an interaction. The whole set-up is at Dream's behest. He chose to go there to talk to Foolish. He picked the location, the time, and the other party. Foolish should be playing defense, and for the most part he is. He's just reacting to Dream's confrontation.

Keep in mind that this conversation is also just a power play against cSam. Calling them friends, ordering him around, practically daring Sam to even try to treat Dream how he did as the Warden. It's all very intentional. A lot of this is to show Sam that Dream is free, and he can go anywhere he wants, even to Sam's peaceful friend who hasn't hurt anyone. And he can tell Sam's friend exactly what Sam did, and there's nothing Sam can do to stop it. The single most lasting part of this conversation is the damage it does to Sam and Foolish's relationship. They are never the same after this. I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain this is their last canon interaction, at the very least it's one of their last.

(quick sidebar; foolish is the one Sam went to to vent about the prison, to talk about how hard it is!! foolish went from "you're a good man" to "everyone is a scumbag" I AM GNAWING AT THE WALLLS OHHH MY GOD)

But, even though Foolish is playing defense here, he instantly plays at Dreams speed. He's very quick to levee what dream's done against him while at the same time doing what almost no one has done: listen. Foolish is receptive to what Dream is saying, and isn't shutting him down on principle. I think this is something only Foolish could have done; something I've said before and will say a million times is Foolish has this incredible capacity for forgiveness and kindness in a way that no one else on the server has. He's incredibly lenient and incredibly docile. He never hits first, and never without provocation. Foolish also has no history with Dream, unlike Sapnap or Tommy or Bad or anyone else Dream could have come in contact with. He's also stronger and more present than any of the other newcomers. Keep in mind Foolish joined, and then literally the next day Dream was in jail. He just missed him.

All this to say that conversation is basically this perfect storm, both giving and conceding more than they'd like and both taking what they really want. Foolish: a potential way to avoid death, Dream: a potential safeguard against quackity. The whole thing is like a game of chess, so strategic. If giving more time, I really think there lore could have gone some awesome places. Again, dream and foolish both fear the finality of death and both had ways to circumvent it. Foolish would have gone a long with the Plan I just know it.... Alas 😔

Every few hours the thought hits me that c!Tommy never got a healing arc (bc his feelings werent prioritised or taken seriously) and died trying to take his abuser out and sympathizing with him even after c!Dream didnt take his attempted suicide seriously n blamed Him for ruining His life even to the very end.. all because they wanted a stream that focused on Poor c!Dweamie's Feewings, they matter so much more than his canonical abuse victim, he couldnt hang out with his friends that he cut off cuz he wanted to abuse a child :((( this justifies said child abuse and deserves sympathy, see,

Like we already knew he lost his friends? Cause that was a willing decision he made ?? Why are we supposed to Care why is c!Tommy supposed to Care why couldnt c!Tommy's story have been focused on getting his abuser out the picture and going on to recover and heal and live a happy life. Why did he have to apologise to him.

c!Dream did Literally Nothing to deserve being sympathised with by his victim, he did not care what he did to him, and c!Tommy's ending being him "understanding c!Dream's motives" before dying is so Violently Uncomfortable to Me. c!Tommy is a forgiving person so both paths, whether he forgave him or not (I'm Aware he Didnt.) makes sense to me but there's something so Deeply Disturbing about him having to Understand c!Dream's Motives For Abusing and Murdering Him while never getting even a Sorry back .

Why were c!Dream's motives and feelings prioritised. In the Slightest. He wasnt interested in redeeming himself or caring about those he's hurt, So Why are We Supposed To Care About His Feelings. Who gives a Fuck if he's Sad 😭

We've already explored the "villains, even ones who do horrific shit are humans too with their own motives and sadness" with other people like c!Q and c!Sam, we Know c!Dream is human. We didnt need a stream where his abuse victim has to try to understand or care about his reasoning to Know c!Dream Is Human.

God man. They couldnt even have the balls to let c!Tommy go on to heal and recover. They wrote him being abused, never let him recover from it and then had him die 2 years later trying to take out his abuser with no chance of a healing arc. And then gave us a shitty amnesia plot where him and his Past Abuser are now fwiends !! 🥺

And now so Much of the fandom believe that the moral of the story is that Both of them were villains, that Nobody is actually the bad guy, that c!Tommy needed to realize he played a hand in his abuse, that He needed to face consequences too, that c!Dream was Actually Sympathetic and Redeemable bc he whined for 5 minutes about the friends He cut off, that the ending is okay bc "c!Tommy doesnt Actually forgive c!Dream" etc

Like we Knew c!Dream was a different person before all this. Can we focus on how c!Tommy was, too? That he entered the server a bright and mischievous 16 year old, who would enjoy playing harmless pranks on people but would be aware when they went too far, who genuinely enjoyed even people like c!Dream's company at first? Can we talk about how c!Tommy left the server completely traumatized and broken, dying to take his abuser out without ever getting the chance to heal and become even a sliver of who he once was? Who Cares that c!Dream was happy before he cut off his friends to abuse a child

Whumptober Day 9: Presumed Dead and Scar Reveal

Disc finale bad ending AU. After defeating Dream years later, the Knights of Hope find Tommy locked in his cell, believing him to be dead, and are astonished that he’s alive… and even more astonished seeing his wounds. Warnings for graphic depictions of violence, grief and mourning, graphic descriptions of injuries and wounds, body horror, implied abuse, torture, (non malicious) infantilisation, guilt, and traumabonding.

I admit I’m not too familiar with Aimsey's BSMP lore, so I hope I got it accurate enough! They were a blast to write.

I went back and forth on whether to use multiple pronouns for Aimsey and Eret or just they/them, so it might be inconsistent at times, sorry.

The stench of rot and blood in the cell made Aimsey feel sick to their stomach.

It was overwhelming, assaulting their senses the second the lava wall dropped. Their eyes involuntarily scrunched shut, but when they opened, it only got worse, seeing the carnage inside.

Blood covered the obsidian, chunks of hair, teeth, and bone scattered around haphazardly in piles. Chains and weapons hung from the walls, rusted and cracked from overuse. Magic hung in the air, its sickly sweet smell barely noticeable over the fog of death so dense Aimsey could breathe it, but the tingling on their fingers was familiar.

It was fresh, and that made everything worse. They’d hoped, vainly, that perhaps keeping Dream cornered had kept him from hurting others, but the blood had barely even dried. It seemed that something horrible had happened in here just minutes before they’d stormed the prison, before they’d cut the head off the snake. He must have known that he was dead, then, and done just one more horrific thing out of spite. It fit with what Eret had told them of the man- cold, calculating, cruel, and above all else, possessive. If he couldn’t hold onto his desires, he’d ruin the ones who took it from him out of spite.

A faint, whimpering moan broke the silence, an almost animalistic, wounded sound. So- so whoever was tortured in here, at least one of them had to be alive throughout all this. Fuck.

“Jesus fucking Christ,” Eret muttered as they leaned onto Aimsey, legs trembling. Aimsey had never seen them so afraid- when creating the Knights of Hope, they’d always seemed fearless, collected, the rock of the group. They’d become almost like a mentor to Aimsey, teaching them the history of the server before they forgot it. It was a lot, but Aimsey was happy to help.

Besides, Eret knew what it felt like to waste your life in regrets. They had a kinship in that, and in that, a way to move forward. Aimsey didn’t know how long they’d stay once the dust had settled- they wanted a home, God they did, somewhere to have friends and live to see each sunset, but there were ghosts haunting every inch of the server, and in them, Aimsey saw Guqqie every day. But regardless, Eret would be a friend for life.

A pang of grief immobilised them for a second at the thought of Guqqie. They’d promised to protect her and held maybe the vainest of hopes that maybe, with the revive book, they could make things right. But all it had done was rub that grief raw, before any hopes were thrown in a fire, quite literally, before their eyes. If Dream could not have it, he’d spend his last breaths spiting them.

But then they heard that pitiful cry again. High-pitched, almost childlike. It was clearly human on the second listen around- for as much as anyone could be considered a human here, anyway. Human and young. Maybe not a child, exactly, but younger than Aimsey. Whoever it was, they needed help.

Taking a deep breath, they took a step into the bloodbath. The floor was slippery under their hooves, and they squeezed their eyes shut, trying desperately to pretend it was anything but what it was, taking another laboured breath and opening them as they slowly made their way towards the centre of the cell, where the noise seemed to be coming from.

The person was behind a sodden blanket, they realised, noticing the slightest twitch of the fabric. Steeling themselves for a horrific sight, they reached down to pull the blanket away, revealing the sight underneath.

Aimsey really did vomit at the sight.

Whoever it was, they were unrecognisable, wild hair coated in blood and their face a mess of injuries. Almost like how someone looked after making a long jump off a tall, tall tower. Bruises kept one of their eyes swollen shut, while the other was a gaping hole. Half their face was torn open, like broken stitching, and what little was recognisable looked half rotting, like a decomposed corpse one that’d been in the water far too long.

Their body was barely there, a thin, wretched mess covered by filthy rags. Their legs were twisted and broken, bone painfully jutting out their corpse-grey flesh. One of their arms was torn off, leaving a stump wrapped in the same bloodied rags as the rest of them. The other was covered in holes, angry weapon wounds that tore through muscle and bone. Worst of all was a hole throughout their chest, one no one could survive. Where their heart and lungs should be were just empty space, their ribs gone and only the blackened, charred remains of a spine remaining.

Aimsey would have thought they were a corpse, were they not sobbing and shaking, taking hyperventilating breaths.

Eret gripped tightly enough onto Aimsey’s shoulder that his claws drew blood, tearing their sweater. “Tommy,” he barely managed to utter.

Tommy? No, this pitiful thing couldn’t be Tommy. Tommy had disappeared not long after the Knights of Hope were founded, and the reason was obvious- everyone had some story of how much Dream fucking despised Tommy. He’d killed him, clearly. So why was he alive, preserved somehow with magic as some morbid trophy?

Besides, they’d met Tommy. Tall, loud, excitable and brash and desperate for friends. Like a mirror of the person they once were, before they were forced to grow up. They’d even made a gift for him once, though he’d stabbed them in the arm after they’d given it, a look of inexplicable fear on his face. They weren’t close or anything, Aimsey couldn’t stand the reminder, but they knew Tommy enough to know that this scared, shivering child did not seem like the boy who’d literally stab a random person for startling him. The Tommy they knew would be kicking and screaming, not huddling up like a lost, scared little kid.

And Aimsey wasn’t just saying that because that’s what they would have probably tried to do back then. They weren’t.

The child’s head tilted weakly in the direction the two of them were standing in, struggling for even that slight movement. “Dream…?”

And, fuck, his voice was so weak, so shattered, but that was, without a doubt, Tommy.

“He’s gone,” Eret said, a waver in his voice. “He’ll never hurt you again, Tommy. I promise.”

Aimsey couldn’t help but feel sick at those words. Promises of protection never seemed to turn out right, and it was cruel to make a promise you couldn’t keep to someone so afraid and alone.

“Gone?” There was something akin to mourning in Tommy’s voice, despite everything. “I- he’s gone?”

“We- we had to,” Aimsey said quietly, trying to soothe the best they could. “We didn’t know you were here. We thought he’d…”

“He wasn’t- he wasn’t a prick like this, most of the time,” Tommy insisted. “He was- he was scared, and he wasn’t making sense, and he locked himself in here, and-“

Tommy’s words were cut off by pained coughing, as blood stained down his mouth and the stitches holding one side of his face together grew the slightest bit looser. Not just blood, but something worse. A pitch black, inhuman sludge, crackling with something from beyond this world, painfully sparking against his skin.

Is this what they nearly put Ran through? Guqqie? Everyone?

“And he did this to you?” Eret’s voice was gentle and familiar, and Aimsey felt an awkward guilt at not being able to do more.

“Fuckin’ duh.” Tommy let out an awful wheezing sound that might have been a laugh. “Said sommat about putting that book to good use while he still had it. I’m- I’m not hurt- well, I mean, obviously I am, this hurts like shit, but I’m not injured. He revived me, and- and he said goodbye all sad like, and asked if I- if we were friends. And I couldn’t say anything, and he just made this fucking depressed noise and said sorry. For everything. I wish I could have said sorry too, man. Guess I’m a fuckin’ idiot.”

“You shouldn’t have to apologise to him!” Aimsey was louder than they intended to, and Tommy flinched. “I- I mean, you haven’t done anything wrong, but- but he hurt you for no reason! Man, that’s something you might not ever be able to forgive, and that’s okay. You- yeah, you gotta come to terms with that stuff, but it takes time. Just- just be gentle, and let yourself see the next sunset. Just keep going for that sunset, and the next, until you’re able to think. And then you can think about forgiveness.”

Aimsey’s heart squeezed at their own words, wishing they had someone to say that to them in the months following Guqqie. It would have made it so much easier, to think of the sunset they had to look forward to. Not her, broken and small. Not the idea Aimsey couldn’t protect her.

There was an awkward silence, before Tommy made a humming sound. “Huh. Maybe. I dunno. It’s- it’s all so complicated. I miss him. I’m glad he’s gone. Can- can I go home? Please, can you let me out of this fucking hell prison?”

“I think you’d probably best get some help for your injuries-“

“It’s fine, I won’t die, I already did and got revived, chill.” Tommy scoffed, the noise sending him into a pained coughing fit again, the magic fluid dripping from the hole in his chest, too, this time, sending him into convulsions. He opened and closed his mouth, as best as he could with the mangled state his face was in, sniffing. “I- uh, yeah, maybe, that’s a good idea. Hurts.”

Aimsey gently lifted the hollow form of Tommy, how light he felt making them feel sick. Their backpack weighed them down more than this full person, and- well, Tommy would be an adult now, wouldn’t he? Ran was, Tubbo was. They were around the same age, right? He still seemed so young, though, in need of help and protection.

Maybe that’s what life was about, though. Protecting the ones alive, and honouring those gone through that.

Yay! ^U^ Callyn and Lility can be roughly summed up as follows:

Callyn, aka my main character in FFXIV, didn't have a lot of personality until my friend Blue started playing FFXIV as well and made Lility. By the time he did, I'd been playing for several months and had Callyn past level fifty (max ranks for any class in this game is sixty for free to play, ninety if you're subscribed) for most crafting/gathering classes and the same for Bard, White Mage, and Black Mage, with some of my other combat classes in the mid-thirties and all of them at least started. (Every class and job in this game is individually leveled.) Unlike me, however, Blue went, "Time to become the world's greatest Black Mage" and put all his energy into that. So while she started behind Callyn in that class, Lility quickly surpassed her. Thus was born the idea that Lility was going to be the Greatest Black Mage Ever, and Callyn was going to enthusiastically support her friend's dream and also do Literally Everything Else, so Lility could focus all her energy on black mage-ing. Which, considering that there are twenty combat jobs and close to that number of crafting and gathering jobs in this game, is a lot.

It's a bit of a Fullmetal Alchemist situation, where everyone assumes tall, elegant Callyn is the Warrior of Light (aka the main character), but it's actually adorable little Lility, and neither of them will ever let you forget this. Callyn is a warrior of light (and now Edgeworth is too), Lility is the Warrior of Light!

As a Black Mage, Lility has the destructive powers of ice, fire, and lightning at her fingertips at all times, and the responsibility to use them wisely. As a person who is really quite fond of explosions, she... doesn't always do that. Fun fact: fire spells meant to destroy your enemies do not, in fact, provide a superior cooking heat than conventional fires. But b'golly if that stops Lility from trying every now and then. It's okay, though - one of Callyn's many jobs is carpentry, so she can fix most cases of Lility-induced structural damage!

Miles, in a typical story, would probably be the voice of reason to their chaos, but he has a 2% understanding of the societies, cultures, and world of Eorzea in general, so more often he's just the straight man to their hijinks. They're both kind people at heart, however, and have been helping him find and keep his footing for most of the time he's been in this new world while also doing their best to help him follow leads on ways to return to his old one, so all in all there are worse people he could be hanging out with. ;)

(And Phoenix agrees with you, all the walking and riding Miles has been doing since he got to Eorzea has done wonders for his already very shapely legs, not to mention - hoo boy - swordsman arms!)

2. Whatever the plan is—if there’s any plan at all, which I am deeply skeptical about—it won’t survive contact with Quackity. Dream didn’t even know which weapon he wanted to kill Sam with, even after he’d had his mind made up for days that he was going to kill Sam and let him go.

Dream has no fucking clue what he WANTS his revenge will look like. He can’t stop thinking about the concept of it—but only in how it intersects with the expectations of his persona. How Quackity’s expecting it, how everyone on the server who knows what Quackity did to him is expecting it too, and how Dream is nothing if not a man who cultivates those expectations. Which will impress them all more? If Dream takes bloody, annihilating vengeance, or if he brushes it off like it was nothing? Which will make Quackity squirm more?

He also quite literally can’t think about it. He can’t situate his own response or his own emotions or his own desires in the equation. Does he want Quackity dead? Maybe. Does he want to torture him, or kill his friends, or destroy his country? Maybe. Eh. He shies away from want.

Personally, I think—as with Sam—Dream will get a lot more satisfaction from Quackity from proving Quackity’s insignificance to him than from legitimizing Quackity’s impact on him by avenging himself in a way that’s too dramatic and devastating. It would be an even harsher blow to Quackity than it was to Sam, because unlike Sam, Quackity’s worst demons actually do stem from being brushed aside, ignored and forgotten and unimportant. What better vengeance against the man who told you he’d make sure you’d never forget, than to shrug and inform him that you’re over it, you barely remember, he’s not even worth killing? Quackity’s no threat and no peer: he is prey that’s too small to eat.

Okay, I’m gonna cheat a little bit and give you three XD

1. Ghostbur! I feel like a majority of the fandom sees him as “silly ghost guy” and don’t acknowledge that he’s anything other than childish, innocent, naive, or dumb. It’s proper annoying.

In actuality, he’s a very interesting, very smart, very unique character!! It makes me so mad when people see him as shallow, or anything similar >:/ Because he’s not. He’s such a cool guy like genuinely 😭

2. Technobladeeeeee. I’m talking specifically about fics here—not so much art or fandom analysis.

I’ve read a handful of stories that characterize Techno accurately—no literally, a handful! I could count the number of fics on one hand!

It’s to the point where fanon Techno and canon Techno feel like two completely different characters 0-o It’s really weird.

3. Tommy! I just… I feel like so many people reduce him to “victim” and take away all the interesting bits about him; all his humor, his weirdness, his fire, his personality, even. I see this way more often in fics than anything else, especially SBI fics.

He’s so interesting and so unique and I can’t really think of any other character like him and he loves sheep and he cares so deeply about others especially Tommy and goes out of his way to help them and he feels so many things and has so much difficulty letting himself feel those things and he’s so smart and cunning and resourceful and DREAM FREAKING SAW HIM AS A THREAT THAT’S WHY HE SENT HIM AWAY INTO THE WILDERNESS and Ghostbur is far from dumb or stupid no no no he’s actually very perceptive and has such a cool way of viewing the world and he sees the good in everyone even if they’re villains and he always gives people second chances even if they’re villains and his best friend is a sheep and he loves that sheep to bits and he loves Tommy so so much and was fully prepared to leave the entire server just the two of them if that would make Tommy happy and oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh.

I freaking love Ghostbur, man.

OH!!! NIKI AND WILBUR’S FRIENDSHIP!!! YES!!! I ADORE THEM!!! Especially during the L’manburg days; they clearly had such a lovely and close bond, and cared so deeply for each other.

They’re also one of the very few platonic male-female duo’s I’ve seen in media alsgaksgajgshsv and I absolutely love those types of relationships :D

- Kohane stumbles upon the stage while hanging out in the theme park

- Saki also finds out while hanging out at the park, bcs she wants to do lots of cool things now thats she's out of the hospital

- They literally all have one of those rotation schedules on the wall or smth on who has to test Rui's inventions next 💀

- But I know for a fact the first time they had to Saki volunteered first and she like nearly died or smth

- And then they found out she was recently in the hospital and they're like "WHY TF DIDN'T YOU TELL US" "AAAAA I NEARLY KILLED SAKI"

-And she's like "I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUN!!!"

- A lot of their shows center more fairytale-like themes of magic and hope and whatever bcs I love fairytales and their designs just turned out that way

- An brought cool music for them to listen to

- And Mafuyu was the one who would visit the most, having many conversations with the virtual singers and just spending time with them in general

- When they saw what new gifts the others would bring they would be like "oh cool where'd you guys get that"

- They would all visit often at their own times and somewhere never came across each other
