Ok so by now we know Sozin banned same-gender relationships in the Fire Nation, but I think he might also be the reason why "Fire Nation people don't dance"

In this scene during Roku's wedding the Avatar tells Sozin to "dance with someone, lighten up!", so it's reasonable to assume it wasn't unusual to dance in the Fire Nation at this point in history

What if he banned it because that, too, reminded him of Roku?

Do you think he went on a banning spree of everything that remotely made him think of his ex? Do you think someone offered him a glass of water and he went "OMG ROKU DRANK WATER" and broke down and tried to ban it?

He cleaned up his act, ran away from the scary shadowhunters and their even more terrifying shadowhunter spawn, and got a normal, boring mundane job as a waiter in a small coffee shop. Crow had summoned no demons, no creatures, no nothing. He had done nothing but keep his fucking head down to ensure it would stay attached to his fucking head and act like the model warlock citizen, Bane had terrified him into being. He had even been paying for the food he'd been conjuring! Mostly. At least once. In short, Crow had been behaving like a fucking saint. He'd been just and honest and good, but clearly, the universe hates him as much as his mother used to. Because Of. Fucking. Course. "Hey, Mister Warlock!" Max yells as he comes bounding toward him, eyes wide and deceptively innocent, "You're here too!" Exit the planet. Crow should have just fucking exited the planet.

Hi yes absolutely! I ship Regulus with pretty much anyone and everyone, but I've never shipped him with anyone his parents would consider a suitable match. It's hopeless pining and doomed secret trysts only for that poor bastard.

I do feel a chronic urge to make Regulus suffer in new and exciting ways, but I also feel that it is very much in character for Regulus to be longing for and in love with something he will not allow himself to have.
