BkDk | Midoriya Izuku Has A Quirk | Quirkless!Bakugou Katsuki | Reference To Illness | Doctor!Bakugou Katsuki | Pro Hero!Midoriya Izuku
Carving My Path To Heroism by Little Blue Chaperon (Terreurmedievale)
When Kacchan is deemed quirkless by the doctor, Izuku makes it his personal mission to protect his friend at all cost.
Needless to say, Katsuki would rather be bullied ruthlessly than being babied by anyone, and they slowly drift apart.
One day, Kacchan disappears from Izuku's life. The two boys will have to slowly rebuild themselves to be ready for the day when they inevitably meet again.
Izuku's heart was hammering. He had found Kacchan again, and Kacchan had become this incredible specimen of a human being. How could he even believe that Kacchan needed his protection? That he needed... him? He felt lead leaking in his stomach, immediatly quelling his former joy.
Aizawa had been right about him. He stood as quickly and as silently as possible and left without a word. He had so, so much to learn before he could consider befriending Katsuki again.

Cheating Dilf Izuku END
Husband Midoriya Izuku x Wifey Reader
Tumblr media
Warning: Angst
[PART 3] [Cheating Dilf Izuku Masterlist]
You hated hospitals.
You sat in the waiting room, your own minor injuries attended to long ago as you sat beside Momo. Horikoshi Hero Hospital had seen enough of you and you doubted this would be the last time you saw it. You could barely keep it together as you prayed and prayed. You were shaking like a leaf in fear.
Toshinori, you and Kane had just made it out when the building collapsed. It was terrifying because you had no idea what had happened to Izuku but you had to get the kids to safety and to a healer as quickly as possible. Reinforcements and first responders arrived quickly on the scene and luckily with a healing quirk, getting Kane’s concussion healed was easy but Toshinori had to be taken to the hospital. Once you had the boys safely in the arms of paramedics, you had run back with cuts and bruises from the collapse, to where you last saw Izuku.
You couldn’t watch the TV as your legs bounced up and down. A video of you pulling at rubble trying to find your husband under it all played. With your direction, they had managed to find him alive thankfully but you were forced into an ambulance to get checked out.
With Jigsaw found and pronounced dead on the scene, your husband was claimed a hero.
However, he was fighting for his life in theatre.
Tenya sat with you, Momo and Shoto. Mina and Hanta were looking after the boys along with your mother-in-law, allowing you to wait here till your husband woke up. Toshinori was asleep in the paediatric wing, his arm being in a cast and he would be allowed to go home tomorrow.  You felt like you could barely breathe as you sat there waiting. It had been longer than ten hours and you were just hoping that maybe, maybe by some miracle, Izuku was still alive.
You hated what he did to you, you hated that he cheated and he didn’t talk to you. But you were far more afraid of losing the one man who had loved you more than himself, more than anything. You needed him a lot more than you cared to admit and the thought of losing him made you sick to your stomach.
You loved Midoriya Izuku and if he died, you were going to kill him.
“Mrs Midoriya.” At the sound of your name, you looked up as the leading surgeon of the hospital walked over to you.
You stood up from where you sat, looking to him for answers and so did your friends. You looked to him as you held your hands to your chest. “Is… Is he…” You couldn’t get it out, in fear that your hope would be false placed.
He nodded his head. “He’s alive, Mrs Midoriya.”
You let out a relieved sigh as you nearly stumbled back. Shoto and Tenya held you up right, making sure you wouldn’t fall. A tear left your eye as you nodded your head, indicating that you were fine, as you lifted up your head to look back up at the doctor. You motioned for him to continue which he did.
“Your husband’s a fight Mrs Midoriya. He was very lucky that there was little internal bleeding and most internal organs were not injured nor punctured in the collapse. However…” He hesitated as he looked to your friends.
You instantly could tell that this might be a sensitive matter so you looked to Tenya. He nodded his head as you stepped away from them to walk a bit of a distance with the doctor. “Yes?” You asked softly.
He looked at you sympathetically as he led you towards your husband’s hospital room. “When the first responders had found him in the area you had indicated, they had found that a considerate amount of rubble had fallen on his legs. We tried our best and although we managed to save them we later found out a spinal injury that, well…” He hesitated and you knew what that meant. Your face fell at the implications. “Unfortunately, Mrs Midoriya, your husband is paralysed from the waist down.”
You were speechless at what was said to you.
Paralysed? As in-
“So he’ll never…” You found this hard to say too.
The doctor nodded his head. “He won’t ever walk again.” He confirmed your suspicions, making you still. “The hero commission has offered that we do stem cell treatments to try and rectify what has happened. It would take a while but previous treatments and trials have a sixty percent success rate in succeeding and giving him a chance at walking again.” You swallowed down hard as you followed the doctor, knowing that that would be the best course of action, however you knew how much being a hero meant to Izuku. “The technology and science of it all is still new and it does not work on everyone but the hero commission has high hopes it will work for him. We just need the go ahead from you and we can start. The sooner the better.” Finally, you both stopped in front of a door. You hesitated and motioned to it. He nodded his head. “You can sit with him. The anaesthesia should be wearing off but it’s still not sure whether or whether not he would wake up.”
You nodded as you put your hand on the door handle and walked in, closing the door behind you. The room was dark despite the dim lights as you walked in. The beeping of the machines unnerved you as you walked closer towards him. You had gotten used to it and you hated that fact. It always reminded you of those moments where Izuku would have some close calls but he always tried to minimise those ever since you started your family.
You finally got to the side of his bed where he was. Izuku lay there sleeping, most cuts and bruises healed by a healing quirk and for the most part he looked fine, besides a bandaged arm, the IVs connected to him and the oxygen mask. However, as your eyes went down you had to bite back a sob. Of course, you couldn’t see the scars over the blanket but just knowing that he would most likely never move his legs again, made you have to cover your mouth.
You shakily sat down at his side, the seat beside him that was positioned just for you. You were glad that the Horikoshi Hero Hospital was the only hospital in Japan that allowed twenty-four hour visitation for family, which meant you didn’t have to leave his side.
You were scared to take his scarred hand.
He had taken this sacrifice for you. He had done this for you and your boys, so that you wouldn’t have to live in fear of Jigsaw escaping again or for another sacrifice to be made. He had basically sent himself as a martyr to die for you, when he knew you hated him for what he did. When he knew that you would barely even let him touch you in private, let alone acknowledge anything he did.
You bit back your sobs as your head fell. He was trying so hard with the boys. He tried so hard. He took time off and stayed all day with Koda and took the boys to school and picked them up. He gave you time to breathe. He would gift you flowers every day, do the laundry, take the boys out for ice-cream after school. He was trying so hard, and you shut him down at every turn.
You were just… you were so angry with him. You loved him so much but you were so disappointed and he knew that.
Yet he didn’t stop.
He respected everything you said and did. He blocked Ochaco’s number and went to a therapist every week. He slept on a futon in your bedroom instead of on the bed because you weren’t comfortable with him there. He always tried to speak to you about things that were insignificant despite you shutting down every conversation that wasn’t about the boys or the house.
He was trying.
And you hated that you loved him.
And now you hated that you hated him despite loving him all the same.
“Izuku…” You let out quietly as you kept your head down as you grasped his hand in yours. “You’re so fucking stupid.” You let out tightening your hold on him in anger. “How could you sacrifice yourself like that? And leave me all alone? I can’t-” You felt yourself choke up. “I can’t raise the boys without you. I could never do that. I’m not as strong as you think I am. Did you think I would be alright because you thought I hated you?” You asked gently.
You felt a sob vibrate out of you as you rested your head on the bed. You sniffed as you tried to pull yourself together but you couldn’t. You cried. You sobbed and you shook your head. You brought his hand to your face. He always loved to hold your face, to hold your head, to touch your neck. To feel you. You wanted Izuku to feel you. You wanted him to hold you.
You wanted your husband.
“I don’t!” You confessed. “I don’t hate you! I was so disappointed that I wasn’t enough for you! But I couldn’t bring myself to leave you. I love you. Just… just please…” You sobbed as you held onto his hand as the quiet beeping of his heart rate monitor went off in the room.
“Am I in heaven?” The voice took you by surprise as you stiffened and looked up from where you were sitting. Izuku was looking at you with a tired expression, his green eyes were gentle and soft as he looked up at you. “Or is there an angel sitting next to me?” He asked with a smile.
You paused as you took in what he had just said. You couldn’t help but laugh as you dropped your head shaking it. “That was horrible.” You laughed.
“Too much, my love?” He asked tiredly. It took him only a second before he realised. “Shit- sorry I mean-”
“No, It’s okay.” You tightened your hold on his hand as you smiled at him. “It isn’t too much.” You hesitated to ask. “Did you hear everything?”
He hesitated. He shook his head. “No, not at all.” He denied, clearly lying to you.
You closed your eyes in embarrassment. “You heard everything didn’t you?”
“Every word. To be fair, you aren’t a very quiet crier.” He confessed making you groan. He chuckled as he lay looking at you, his eyes never leaving your face. You felt him move his fingers over your knuckles. “I’m glad you’re here.” He spoke softly. “I didn’t think…” He let out a soft scoff. “Honestly, I didn’t think I’d live to see you again, nevertheless to you sitting by my side.”
You fought a smile to your face as you shrugged. You wanted to say so much to him but with him looking at you, you found it hard to do so. “We still need to go to Okinawa, remember?” You spoke softly.
You watched as his eyes widened with a light in them. A grateful and relieved smile on his face. “Really?” He asked with a whisper. “Do… do you mean it?” He asked.
You nodded with a chuckle. “Yes.”
He leaned back against his pillow closing his eyes with a smile on his handsome face. “I’m so glad.” He whispered. He lay there for a moment before turning back to you. “So hit me with it, what bones did I break this time?” He asked with a humerous smile.
You did not smile.
Instantly he noticed that you weren’t smiling. You hesitated as you looked down away from him. You weren’t sure how you were going to tell him this nor what you were going to say. You looked to him with a broken expression. You carefully stood up and adjusted his hospital bed so that it could incline so he could sit up a bit.
Izuku gave you a weird look. “Y/N, what’s this about?” He asked with a chuckle. “I’ve heard it all, okay. You don’t have to-” He stopped talking for a moment. He let out a soft scoff before looking down again. “I… Why can’t I feel my legs?” He asked as he looked to you. You didn’t say anything as you just stared at him. Izuku froze for a second before looking back down at his legs. “Y/N… Y/N I’m serious. I- I can’t-”
“You injured your spinal cord.” You whispered, finally answering him. However, that was all he needed to know the severity of his injury.
It was deathly silent for that moment despite the sound of the machines.
Suddenly you noticed that his hand was shaking. He opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. His eyes wide as he looked at you but then he looked back down at his legs. Suddenly you noticed the rapid sounds of his heart rate monitor and breathing rate.
“Izuku, Izuku you have to calm down.” You told him as you held his hand tighter and moved to hug him.
However, his heartrate didn’t calm down and only started to climb.
He shook his head as tears started to fall from his eyes. He bit back cries as he held onto you with hands, gripping onto hard as he tried not to fall into shock.
“Is everything alright!?” Running in were two nurses.
“He’s awake!” You shouted at them. “Call the doctor.” Immediately one of them ran out while the other one ran off somewhere. “Izuku, breathe for me. Just breathe.” You told him as you held him, putting a hand to his face. “I’m here. I’m right here, my love. Just breathe.”
The other nurse came back and stuck a needle in a bottle he brought. He took a quick measurement before moving to your husband’s IV and sticking the needle in. “Give him a minute, he’ll calm down in a bit. It’s okay Mr Midoriya, everything is going to be fine.” The nurse said as he placed down the needle and moved to grab another blanket.
It did indeed only take a minute before you noticed his heartrate start to gradually start to subside. His grip on you eased as he lay back but you held onto him. You saw the tears that left his eyes but never heard a cry. He looked at you with a broken expression.
Your shoulders sagged. “Izuku, I’m so sorry. You won’t be able to still be a he-”
“I won’t be able to dance with you.” You looked down at him confused as to why he said that. Izuku looked at you with a sad expression. He blinked as more tears fell. “How… how can I play outside with the boys? Or train Toshinori?”
You just looked at your husband confused. Why was he thinking about you and the boys when his career that he had spent close to three decades cultivating, would be over.
“Don’t worry Mr Midoriya.” You turned around to see the doctor who had just entered your husband’s hospital room. “With enough physical therapy, you’ll be able to walk and move no problem. We just need your consent on something…”
After explaining everything that had happened, his injury in the T12 area of his spine and certain adjustments needed to his life, Izuku seemed pretty quiet but he understood and thanked the doctor for everything he had done to ensuring he lived. It was a tough first few hours. Izuku had nerve pains as well as discomfort and whenever he did manage to fall asleep he’d wake up in a panic due to not being able to feel his legs anymore.
Unfortunately, they had to give him sedatives so that he could sleep for more than a few minutes at a time. In that time you managed to go home and get a shower as well as pack some of Izuku’s comfortable clothes and items before going to see the boys, picking them up to come to the hospital. You had left them in the waiting room for a moment with Inko, making sure Izuku was alright with seeing them right now before letting them in.
“So dad will need a wheelchair? THAT’S SO COOL!” Hero let out loudly as he looked up at his father.
Asahi adjusted his glasses with a disappointed sigh. “Not really. Dad’s still normal, he just can’t use his legs right now.”
“So… he can’t climb the stairs anymore?” Hero blinked before his green eyes widened as he looked at his father excitedly. “DAD! Can we get an elevator in our house?”
Izuku leaned back with a chuckle against a pillow as he looked down at his boys that surrounded him. He was glad that the boys seemed to be taking this well, surely better than he did. “If mom says yes.” He stated optimistically.
You let out a chuckle as you shook your head. “If we did, then only dad can use it. Not you.”
“Aww. What?”
Asahi turned to his younger brother offended on his father’s behalf. “Dad’s the one who’s paralysed not you!” He reminded his younger brother.
Koda sat next to him on the bed, holding the little bunny teddy bear, staying cosied up to his dad with a frown. He looked up at him. “You okay, daddy?” He asked softly.
Izuku let out a soft laugh and ruffled his green hair. “I’m fine buddy. I’ll be alright.” You could tell that he was forcing out everything he was saying to make the kids feel better. “I just need some practice walking again and I’ll be back in shape in no time.” He gave one of his ProHero smiles that made others feel at ease.
Inko looked to her son with a sympathetic expression but nodded her head. “Alright boys, we should let your father get some rest. He needs it.”
“Aww.” Hero frowned with a pout as he was herded out the room. “But he’s spent the whole day asleep.”
“No. He was in surgery.” Asahi reminded him.
“Same thing.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle at that. But surprising you was the door being thrown open not even a minute after they left as your eldest son, Toshinori was at the door. His good arm opened the door as he stood there in sweatpants and a t-shirt, his arm still in its cast.
His eyes were wide as they locked onto his father. “Dad…” He let out quietly. Seeing his father awake and alive had his breath choking in his throat. Before a stuttered breath came out of his throat and soft sobs as his eyes filled with fat Midoriya tears. “DAD!” Toshinori practically flew into his father’s arms as he wrapped his arm around him. “I’m sorry! I’m so sorry I couldn’t stop him! I thought you were dead a-and I- I can’t be as strong and as brave as you! I thought- I thought-!” He let out half angry but half sad.
Izuku’s eyes widened in surprise, but his expression softened. He put a hand on top of Toshinori’s head of curly green hair with a chuckle. “Toshinori…” At the sound of his name, your eldest son looked up at Izuku who for the first time since getting told the news, held a genuine smile on his face. “My perfect sprout, I’m proud of you.” You watched Toshinori’s pupils shrink before expanding as he bit down on his lip trying to stop himself from crying. “You did your best and you held your own for as long as you could. You’re stronger than me, when I was your age I couldn’t even control One for All, let alone make sure I didn’t break my entire body using it. You are so much more braver and stronger than you think. I’m so proud to call you my son.”
You couldn’t help but smile as you watched Toshinori sob in his father’s arms, his arms around Izuku as he took in everything his father said. You couldn’t help but notice the tears in Izuku’s eyes at the interaction. You knew that somewhere deep inside this helped Izuku’s inner boy too.
It took a month before Izuku was released from hospital, but in that time your husband had been pretty… quiet to say the least. He barely spoke to you and according to the nurses and his new physiotherapist, he barely spoke at all to them either. But after so many tests and therapy sessions were done, the doctors finally cleared him to go home and had told you of all the physiotherapy appointments and everything that would be a new adjustment in his life.
The first thing Izuku noticed when you had wheeled him into your home was the few changes as he went by. His eyes widened at the sight of the biggest change so far. “You… got…”
“AN ELEVATOR!” Hero cheered as he motioned to the glass elevator that went up to the second floor of your home. “Mom said yes.”
Izuku turned to look at you with a raised eyebrow. You shrugged. “It seemed like a good choice.” You told him honestly. You turned to Toshinori and gave him a slight look.
Toshinori instantly understood the look and gave a curt nod, his arm fully healed from the healing quirks and after resting it from the surgery. “Hey guys, lets go play Just Dance!”
“OH YAH!”
“That would be fun!”
Toshinori carefully took Koda by the hand and led the four year old away from you and his father so that you could both talk. You turned forward but Izuku was already pushing himself into the elevator. You stepped inside with him, allowing the both of you inside. It was silent amongst the both of you. Neither one of you saying anything.
Finally the elevator door opened allowing Izuku to adjust himself in the wheelchair but allowed you to push him out onto the second floor. He didn’t object to where you were taking him. You took him to your bedroom, allowing him to see all the adjustments you had made. You let go of the handles of his wheel chair allowing him to venture on by himself. He pushed forward as he looked around. For one thing, he noticed that the bed was lower to the ground. He also noticed something on the wall.
He wheeled himself closer to it. His eyebrows furrowed. He motioned towards it. “What’s this?” He asked softly.
“It’s an intercom.” You stated as you walked over to it. You motioned to all the buttons. “There’s one that leads to every boys room as well as to downstairs. Just in case. It’s easier than shouting if we need them or if they need us. I’m hoping I won’t regret this decision.” You stated with a nod of your head.
Izuku let out a soft scoff but wheeled himself away from the wall and headed straight towards the bathroom. He noticed all the new additions that made your bathroom wheelchair accessible. He looked around at it all.
“What do you think?” You asked as you stood in the middle of the room.
Izuku was silent as he looked around the room before turning to look at you. He turned to face you. “Y/N…” He looked around, speechless for a moment before his eyes settled back on you. He seemed a bit uncomfortable but he forced a smile to his face. “I think this is a bit too much. You didn’t have to do this, really.”
Your eyebrows furrowed. “But I did.”
“No you didn’t.”
“Izuku-”
“I appreciate this, I really do.” He told you, closing his eyes briefly. “But I don’t deserve this. Really, just… you didn’t have to change your room like this.”
“Our room.”
He shook his head with a chuckle. “No, your room.”
You let out a sigh as you closed your eyes for a moment before opening it. “Izuku, I am not going to watch you sleep in another room or on the floor.”
“Y/N you shouldn’t be doing this. This!” He motioned down to his legs with an angry expression. “This doesn’t change anything! You shouldn’t be doing this, any of this!” He motioned around the room with a wide gesture of his hands. “The last thing I want to do, is subject you to this too!”
You let out a scoff. “Subject me to what, Izuku!”
“To a life like this!”
“Like what!”
“Y/N!”
“Izuku, this is exactly what separated us last time.” You took a step closer to him, your eyebrows furrowed as you frowned down at him. “I need you to communicate with me, to talk to me! What is so bad about this!”
“Y/N, I won’t have you spend the rest of your life like this! You deserve better!” He shouted back at you, eyes torn in agony as he stared up at you. “I broke my vows.” He put his hand to his chest, his left hand gleaming with the wedding ring you had gotten him. “I broke my vow to you to respect you and stay loyal to you! I promised you, when we got married, that I would be a man worthy of your love and devotion! Of your respect and submission. I promised you that and I broke it!” You froze were you stood as you saw tears well up in his beautiful green eyes, his eyes filled with so much pain. “I promised myself that I’d spend the rest of my life trying to rectify that, just to earn a sliver of your love and trust again, but look at me!” He let out with a pathetic laugh as he motioned to himself. “I’m half a man!”
You shook your head as you took a step closer to him. “Izuku…” You let out quietly.
“Y/N, I can’t-” His voice cracked as he looked away from you, his face pink as he tried to control his emotions. “I can’t even stand by myself let alone do anything! I will not ruin your life any more than I already have. The last nine months have been an agony for me. I lost you, I lost the boys, I lost my legs, I lost my career, I lost our son…” He hung his head in front of you, his hands gripping the railing of the wheels as he looked down away from you. You could see him shiver with so much pent-up emotion within him. “I will not let you turn yourself into a caregiver and ruin the beautiful life I was supposed to give you, more than I already have.” He whispered.
You were silent as you looked down at Izuku. You couldn’t help but feel the tears burn at your eyes. You crouched down in front of Izuku, taking his hands from his side and into your own. You looked up at the beautiful man in front of you. You gave him a weak but genuine smile as you looked up at his face, fat Midoriya tears streaming out of his eyes.
You rubbed your thumbs over his scarred knuckles. “Izuku…” You started out softly. “You are the same man right now than you have ever been, if not more so.” You told him honestly. “I do not see you any less of a man just because you’re paralysed or need help. I made a vow to you on our wedding day to stand by you in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, in life and in death and I meant that. I have yet to break it and I don’t ever plan on doing so. I don’t care if I have to help you shower for the rest of our lives, Izuku.” You let out with a soft laugh and a bright smile. “I don’t care if you aren’t the Number One hero anymore. You sacrificed yourself for me and for our son. That is the strongest thing a man could ever do.”
Izuku closed his eyes, tears falling down his face as he bit down sobs, wielding himself to try and not break down in front of you. He didn’t deserve your words and yet he was getting them. He just wanted to disappear.
“Izuku, I am your wife… and you are my husband.” He opened his eyes to look at you. You reached up to cup the side of his face with a gentle smile. “You’ve gotta do a whole lot more if you want to get rid of me.” You joked. He let out a soft scoff as he put a hand to cover your own as he buried his face in your hands. His grip on you turned harsh as he cried and you reached up and hugged him. You held him as you tapped his back soothingly. “We’re going to do this together, Zuzu. Even if we got to take baby steps first. We’ll get there.”
“Announcing, his excellency, the Number One ProHero of Japan, ProHero Deku and his wife Mrs Midoriya.”
You pushed Izuku’s wheelchair onto stage, the both of you stepping into the limelight. You were dressed in your family’s colours of white, gold and green. Izuku was dressed in a matching coloured suit as you took him to the centre of the stage. There were claps given but honestly, both of you couldn’t hear it. You were sure Izuku couldn’t.
This would be the last time he would address people as the Number One ProHero of Japan, and as an actively serving hero. You parked his wheelchair before putting a hand to his shoulder. He looked up at you, a cleanly shaven face but age still present in the grey hairs and small wrinkles. You nodded your head. He smiled as he put a hand over your own briefly before accepting the microphone as you took a step back. You always did that when he had to make an address.
It would always be the Number One hero and his wife standing at his side.
Izuku drew in a stuttered breath as he already felt tears in his eyes. “Twenty years ago, I became the Number One Hero of this country, it has been a rank that I have carried with honour and one I do not take for granted. I never thought this would be how I retired, I was hoping to have a few more years on me before I would let my eldest son take over my agency. However, life doesn’t always go as planned. So it is with a heavy heart that I officially announce my immediate retirement from on duty hero work. I would like to thank Japan for allowing me the honour of being at your service. If I could stand and bow, I would. Thank you, deeply.” He bowed his head and at the waist, far more than he should have and you did the same.
However, you saw the applause he received and knew that everything he had ever done was worth it, even now.
After that, you stirred Izuku down onto the floor where he received a lot of best wishes and gratitude. All that he was worth. You could tell by the smile he adorned on his face, he was keeping everything together until he could go home. He was still finding it rough to be in a wheelchair but he had made great progress. He was hoping to stand for his speech but that just wasn’t a reality right now. But he was getting there, deservingly so.
“You know Izuku,” Kirishima started as he stood beside his wife, her stomach still swollen with the baby girl she was carrying. He kept a hand on her hip, as he kept a hand in his pocket as he talked to your husband. “If you ever considerate, you could definitely go and teach at UA. After retiring myself, I quite enjoy it for a bit before I joined the Hero Council.” Your eyebrows raised forgetting that option. Kirishima had been one of the first of you all to retire from active duty work. Being a hero wasn’t a long job, most retiring by the age of thirty five and at most fourty-five.
You looked down at Izuku who’s eyebrows raised in surprise as well. “Well, I never thought of it.” He let out as he raised a hand to scratch the back of his neck. “But the commission did offer to put me on the council. It seems like a big decision to make.”
“Indeed.” You turned at the sound of a voice. Approaching the four of you was Katsuki, dressed in an all black suit with orange elements but on his arm was Ochaco. Your husband was the first to scowl but you kept your kind diplomatic smile out of duty. Katsuki smirked down at your husband. “Enjoy your retirement Deku. You deserve it after all the long years of service.” It almost sounded harmless, if you didn’t know Katsuki as well as you did.
Izuku forced a smile to his face as he leaned back with a breath. “Enjoy being Number One Kacchan, took you so long to get there.” He acknowledged, nodding his head. “Only took me injuring my back for you to surpass me.”
“Well, our prayers are answered differently.” You had to do a double take at Katsuki and what he had just said before he continued to speak. “Y/N, I have to thank you.” You finally saw something genuine on Katsuki and that was a smile. “For saving Kane’s life. It means the world to me that you saved my only child.”
You saw Eijiro stiffen at that mention, keeping his mouth shut at that. His wife kept a hand on him, trying to keep him calm. You could imagine, after the both of them had been married for over a decade and had both Kane and Satomi, it must have been hard for Eijiro to hear that. Satomi wasn’t Katsuki’s biologically but they still got their kids together.
You smiled with a nod. “It’s the least I can do. I love Kane and I would do it again.”
“I know you would. It’s what makes you the perfect mother.” He stated softly, almost with a reminiscent look.
Suddenly there was a flash of light and Katsuki had doubled over with a grunt as he cupped his groin. “Oh my goodness, Kacchan are you okay?” You heard your husband say with a surprised face as he looked up at the blond. “I am so sorry, I didn’t see your pathetic excuse of a manhood there.” You and Eijiro’s new wife looked at each other in shock as your daw dropped. Izuku looked up at Katsuki sympathetically. “I was trying to call a waiter but you were in the way.”
Katsuki let out a low growl as he glared at Izuku, trying to stand up straight. “Why you son of a-”
“Are you cussing me out because I’m disabled and I made a mistake?” Izuku asked putting a hand to his chest with a faux shocked expression. “How horrible, honestly I-”
“Izuku.” Ochaco let out sickeningly sweet as she smiled down at your husband. Izuku’s eyes flicked to her before he let out a deep breath and rubbed his eyes. She stood in a black dress but wore emerald green earings on her ears. Shameless. “That was a great speech, you gave. I know you are technically on retirement but I still need help on that case and-”
“I’m sorry, Uravity but I can’t get past your earrings.” Izuku stated as he looked up at her with a frown. “They do not suit you at all. Did I gift them?”
She looked taken a back and shocked at his words. “Uh… no, but-”
“Good. Now can you all excuse me,” Izuku made a look to you and you smiled. “I still need to do my rounds before I leave. It is a school night.” He stated as he pushed himself back. You took the handles of Izuku’s wheelchair as you stirred him away, the both of you heading away from Katsuki and Ochaco, waving to Eijiro and his wife. Izuku shook his head with a tsk. “Thank goodness I can’t stand because if I could, I would have punched him straight through a pillar.” You couldn’t help but giggle. “Hey, Y/N.”
“Yes Izu?”
He looked up at you for a moment, pupils round as he did so. “You look divine.”
You couldn’t help but soften at the compliment. You felt heat brush up your neck. “Thank you.”
Although you were both still at baby steps…
It was a start you were willing to take.
THE END

MWRMI part 5

My Weird Roommate, Midoriya Izuku
Week 3 Part 1 - Reality Check.
~•🥦•~
Summary: Living with pro hero Deku was too good to be true; when Midoriya doesn’t come home one night, Y/N realizes how painful it is to love the Number One Hero.
Warnings: Injured Deku, swear words, a hint of angst.
First part Master List
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
After having Midoriya around you for a whole day the house feels cold and strange without the green haired nerd. Your moping got to a point when even All Meowt felt sorry enough for you to come out and keep you company so needless to say, you definitely look pathetic right now.
Sometimes, when the urge to see your flatmate got unbearable you messaged him about stupid things; random hero fun facts, fan arts, screenshots, a picture of you cooking his favorite meal and for your surprise, Midoriya responded to all of them.
After a while he also started to send you random pictures about his patrol; sometimes it was just a lovely picture of the sunset but sometimes they were grimy and disgusting; pictures of his injuries or a selfie of Midoriya with a massive black eye. Usually, by the time the greenette came home the injuries were gone thanks to the amazing healer guy they have on their team, but that doesn’t make it easier to see him like that. Being close to a hero isn’t a fucking dream, it’s more like a nightmare. You never know when it’s the last time you see him and you can never sleep soundly until you hear the door open; what if he ends up in a hospital and no one informs you? What if he comes home thinking he’s all okay but there is an internal bleeding killing him slowly while he sleeps?
Yeah, being close to heroes suck.
But let’s come back to the present now; to the present that’s also not so pleasant.
You wake up in the middle of the night to a notification on your phone; you dozed off on the table again while working on another project. The notification almost makes you throw up; it’s an article about a massive fight in the middle of the city, not too far away from your current home. You turn on the TV as the article states it’s being aired live; you can see pro hero Deku, barely standing on the sidelines while the rest of his team finishes the work in the middle. Dynamight manages to catch the last villain, so technically the heroes won, but you can’t help the tears trailing down your cheeks from seeing your friend wobbling to the nearest emergency station before passing out in the nurse’s arms.
You try to keep calm but you can’t stop yourself from sending him a message.
You: Please send me a message when you wake up, Midoriya!
Just as you expected, there is no response coming back. Fuck.
Thankfully, All Meowth graces you with his existence and lets you pet his fluffy little head. What a supportive little animal.
After a few dreadful minutes; 40, to be exact, there is a notification on your phone.
Midoriya: ….!hehdgeuehdbgenevrm
Midoriya: I!m oksbdgeb
Midoriya: fuxk
Midoriya: Hey Freeloader, stop freaking the shit out, I’ll bring him home as soon as he’s coherent. Make him some soup or some shit, the fucker didn’t take a break today. I’m also hungry by the way and I deserve a fucking serving.”
You don’t need to think twice to know who wrote that message. You sigh and take a deep, shaky breath.
He’s fine. He’s coming home.
~•🥦•~
“We’re home!” Dynamight’s loud and hoarse voice breaks through the silence.
In any other situation, you would probably take five to ten minutes to fangirl over the fact that Dynamight is here; he might be rough and abrasive towards everyone but his good looks and heroic deeds still managed to take him to the second place on the hero rankings; but right now, you can only see the green haired man who’s holding into his shoulders like he can’t even stand straight without help.
“Midoriya…” You run through the living room to check up on him but Dynamight puts his arms out to stop you in your tracks.
“He’s high.” He declares. “Our healer’s quirk likes to kick you in the ass when it’s overused. He’s not aware of his surroundings, so don’t even bother.” The blonde hero rolls his eyes and makes his way towards the kitchen, the greenette limping after him, still holding the guy’s shoulder like a lifeline.
“Izuku, we are going to eat and then you are going to bed, okay?” Dynamight pushes Izuku’s chin up to force eye contact; he speaks to him with a soft, reassuring voice like he’s a random toddler he found on the street. They sit down next to each other on the dining table then Izuku nods but doesn’t move towards his food; the blonde sighs and takes the spoon in his hand. “Open your fucking mouth, you big baby!” Dynamight screams at the clearly high greenette, who obeys without hesitation.
… it’s 5 fucking AM and here you are, staring at motherfucking Dynamight force feeding pro hero Deku with your soup at your fucking dining table.
This fanfiction got really weird, really quickly.
“Where is Y/N?” Izuku speaks up after gaining some color in his cheeks. You perk up at the sound of your name but you decide not to get involved in their conversation.
“She’s literally sitting opposite of you, you dump fuck.” The blonde grumbles, clearly fucking done with the situation.
“Is she okay?”
This is such a Midoriya thing to do that you can’t help but smile; the guy comes home after almost dying on the battlefield yet his first coherent question is about someone else’s wellbeing.
“No, she’s probably scarred for life after seeing me feeding you, to be honest.”
Well, what were you expecting from Dynamight, sugar coating? Nah.
“No…” Midoriya’s voice trembles. You really want to hug him. “I don’t want her to be mad. I don’t want her to leave!”
Fuck, your face is wet. You never ever want to see that look on Midoriya’s face, it’s absolutely heartbreaking.
“She’s not going anywhere you moron. She made this soup for you, so eat it.” Dynamight grumbles at him again, but Deku only smiles at him.
“What the fuck are you smiling at me for?” The blonde is clearly not a big fan of affection, his face contorts into a frown from all the cheesiness.
“Y/N’s soup is even better than yours.” The greenette answers with a lovesick smile on his face but apparently, this wasn’t the right thing to say as the blonde’s face heats up in anger.
“Now take that back you asshole or I’ll push this spoon down your fucking throat.” Dynamight looks like he’s about to explode but Deku is clearly unaffected by the empty threat.
“No, Kacchan is mad.” Midoriya’s shit eating grin is so huge it can probably be seen from the top of Mt.Fuji. The blonde decides he’s done with Deku’s shenanigans and literally throws the guy into his bedroom without a single warning. He comes out after five minutes and sits down on the sofa; he holds his hand out and stares at you until you put one and two together.
Ahh, he’s asking for food.
“I really wanted to hug him before he goes to sleep.” You reprimand as you make your way to the sofa with a big bowl of soup. You made a special batch for the spice loving blonde as a thank you. Dynamight rolls his eyes and nods approvingly at the taste.
“I don’t want to listen to him bitching about embarrassing himself in front of you again. For some fucking reason he really cares about shit like that when it comes to you.” Bakugou answers nonchalantly, like you’ve known each other for ages and this isn’t your first ever conversation. After seeing your confused face, he elaborates on the topic. “He won’t remember you being with us because I didn’t let him look at you. He’ll wake up tomorrow thinking you were fast asleep and he won’t beat himself up about it.”
“So long story short, you being an asshole is all an act and you are actually more like a protective big brother.” You poke at the sleeping bear, but for your surprise, he doesn’t get offended by you seeing through him.
Okay. This is new. This is not how people portray Bakugou in their fanfictions.
“We are all family. We support each other. Being a hero is a lonely job so if we are not there for each other no one ever will ever be.” The blonde answers with a straight face but his voice gets melancholic by the end of his sentence.
You don’t know what to say to that. You understand the sentiment but at the same you can’t help but wonder how the fuck is the pain not worth it. These people; both Midoriya and Bakugou; are the most protecting, most loving people you’ve ever met in your life. They are loyal to a fault and they go out of their way to make their loved ones feel safe.
“You guys deserve the fucking world and some blood and the lack and of contact during missions won’t change my mind about that. This night was the worst day of my life but I would do it over and over again if it means I can stay close to him, because he’s worth it.”
You definitely overshared a bit, but by the look of it, Bakugou doesn’t care nor comments on it.
“You are different than the rest.” He mumbles, playing with a piece of meat at the bottom of the almost empty bowl.
“Different?”
“Yeah. I didn’t like this whole roomie idea, you know.” He admits. “It’s dangerous, even with a mutual friend. A lot of people tried to use him and he’s so fucking naive. But I can see it in your eyes, you know… That you care about him. And he also can’t shut up about you, so.. welcome to the family, or whatever. Also, gimme’ your phone number so I can update you on all the shit so you don’t freak out.” Bakugou throws his unlocked phone into your lap; his background is a picture of the gang sitting on each other on Deku’s sofa. He’s so cute.
“Thank you… for accepting me. It means a lot.” You mumble sheepishly, your whole face red as a tomato. Bakugou snaps his phone out of your hands and throws it in the air to catch it, just to be cool and edgy.
“Save the cheesy shit for the nerd, Freeloader.” The blonde grins. “Make sure he sleeps enough. He’ll be good as new by the afternoon.” Dynamight stands up to put the dishes into the dishwasher. “Thanks for the food, send me the recipe.”
And with that, the hero is gone and the the silence is back; you lie down on the sofa and listen to the noises coming from Deku’s room, but after a few rustles, everything quiets down and only the soft, content snores can be heard from the room next door.
You fall asleep on the sofa, not having the energy to go into your room; at least you will be there in case Midoriya needs help during the night.
~•🥦•~
You wake up to Midoriya’s footsteps around 9 AM; barely a few hours after he came home last night. He looks disheveled and confused as he tries to put on his hero costume.
“Midoriya… go to sleep.” You pull yourself up; the hero jumps in surprise by the sight of you. “How do you want to fight evil if you can’t even sense me sleeping on the sofa, huh?”
You know that’s a low blow, but you’d do anything to keep the hero from going out today. He needs to stay home and you also need him to rest for your own sanity. He looks pale and all over the place, there is no way you’ll let him go out like that.
“Y/N, I’m fine. I can’t skip work…” Midoriya is just about to start rambling about the importance of his job, but you don’t let him finish. You throw your phone towards him which he catches in one swift move.
“Read it.”
Dynamight: Yo, freeloader. Tell Deku he’s not needed today. I found cover for him. If he leaves the house I’ll kill him.
“How does he know your number?”
Fuck, you didn’t think this through. Midoriya is not supposed to know about yesterday.
“He left a note with his number on the table, so I sent him a message.” You lie, feeling terrible for doing so but it’s all for his sake.
Deku doesn’t say anything just sits down next you; his face looks sad and heartbroken, but he doesn’t say a word about it. You really want to hug him but you are not sure it would be appreciated right now.
“Mido…” You are just about speak up, but he doesn’t let you finish.
“You are lying to me.” He declares with a heartbroken smile. He knows. He doesn’t remember but he’s a clever guy and you are a terrible liar.
“Not all lies are bad. Sometimes, people lie for the sake of their loved ones.”
“I also lied.” Midoriya admits. “About me being okay. I’m really tired. Mentally. Physically. In every single way.”
“I know.“ You can’t help it; your hands move towards Midoriya’s frizzy curls. Midoriya melts into the touch, clearly desperate for affection now that the air is clean between you two. “Put your head into my lap and let’s watch a movie, okay?” That way he can fall asleep and you can keep an eye on him for the rest of the day. Win-Win.
~•🥦•~
As the movie starts, the two of you fall into a comfortable silence. It’s a dumb and fluffy movie, something that takes his mind away from all the violence in the real world. Midoriya’s hair is full of knots under your palm, so you slowly rake your fingers through the mess, detangling it lock by lock as the green haired hero contentedly sighs, urging you to keep going. It’s way too domestic and way too intimate but you can’t stop; Midoriya clearly needs the attention right now, he’s melting into your touch, his cheek buried into the soft throw that sits between your things and his head for more comfort.
When the movie ends, you realize you didn’t even look at the screen once but neither did Midoriya; he’s fast asleep on your lap, drooling like a golden retriever after a full day of fun. You try to clean him up a bit but he’s not having any of it; he murmurs in his sleep and takes your hand in his, subconsciously caressing the skin. A shiver goes down your spine from the soft touch, churning your insides with it, but you don’t have the heart to wake him up.
Midoriya is too much. He’s so kind, so beautiful, so affectionate, and so-so full of love; you can’t believe you are on the receptive side of all of this. You really feel like you don’t deserve Midoriya’s attention and deep inside you know it doesn’t mean the same to him as it means to you but right here, right now, you let it all in, ready for the biggest heartbreak in your life when this is all over.
~•🥦•~
You wake up after a few hours, still in the same position. Midoriya’s now flawlessly fluffy head is still resting in your lap but he’s facing the other way around; he looks up at you with sleepy eyes, a tired but honest smile decorating his handsome face.
“Good morning, sweet pea.” He mumbles half asleep, hiding his face in your tummy for a few more seconds of peace.
The nickname almost makes your heart stop, but you try your best to ignore the fluttery feeling in your chest.
“I’m quite sure it’s afternoon.” You strike back with a sass, which the green haired hero blissfully ignores.
“Whatever. It’s nice.”
“Yeah.” You admit with a red face, and this is the moment Dynamight chooses to barge into the flat with a bunch of other people behind him.
Okay, this is extremely awkward.
Do these people know how to knock?!
“THE MIDORIYA CHEERING UP SQUAD HAS ARRIVED!” Chargebolt yells while the others hide their faces in embarrassment.
“By the look of it, shitty Deku has a good enough time already.” Dynamight snickers and Deku jumps up like a happy puppy to forcefully hug the shit out of the annoyed blonde. While everyone is busy staring at the two hugging each other, you take a moment to take a look at the intruders; every single of these people are heroes you follow on every single available social media.
Don’t freak out.
Don’t. Freak. Out.
Don’t…
“OH MY GOD, THATS RED RIOT THAT’S FUCKING RED RIOT, Midoriya!”
Fuck.
… Next Part!

Healer!Izuku being the oblivious sweet guy that he is, accepts the gifts nonetheless bc he thinks his fellow students and classmates are being nice even though most of them wanna confess their feelings so bad.
Though he does give them pats, the closest thing to a cuddle for most students.
Oh my oh my, if he wasn’t offered OFA, imagine him carrying a concealed weapon and/or tranquilizer gun to defend himself. That’ll be a huge shock to everyone.
*whips out weapon*
“Huh!? Izuku!?”
“Midoriya-kun!?”
“Where did you get those!?”
“Um, I and several people are allowed to carry these?”
Even better, someone watched him kick the butt of someone who was following him and trying to steal a kiss from him; the person next to him even took a video that went viral and now everyone in UA has a huge crush on him.

No one should have found out that she was an omega, least of all the crown prince of Yuei.
But Izuku Midoriya was smart.
With two other lives on the line, Lia made the choice of accepting the deal given by the prince - her submission for his secrecy.
It should have been an easy arrangement, if not for the group of homicidal maniacs that had been using omegas as a bartering coin in order to take over the kingdom and the prince’s penchant for wanting more than she was willing to give.
Fate was just one big joke, was it not?

Dark pink liquid slipped through parted lips. The taste was a strange mix of bitterness and sweetness, as if the potion couldn’t find in itself to be happy with just one flavor, but neither of the women actually bothered much with it. They had gotten used to the taste, after all.
“God, I hate the flavor.”
Maybe not.
There was no helping the laughter that left the other two at their partner’s voice rang out, a respite over the tension that had filled the room. The three of them had been friends all their life, and Lia trusted the two with her life, and having into account what could happen were anyone to find out exactly what the pink liquid they had drank was… well, she was very sure that both Mina and Ochako also trusted her implicitly.
“Do you think the dose will be enough?” brown eyes met green and the brunette had to grimace at the thought that what little they could produce wouldn’t suffice. But really, they had to up the dose every few months to keep the effectiveness. God, she really hoped that they could find a way to make the tonic way more effective than it was.
“I don’t know.” Lia sighed “What we’re doing, it’s…”
“Crazy?” Mina chimed in, arms resting on the shoulders of the two smaller brunettes.
“Unorthodox?” A quirk of Ochako’s lips.
“And more.” Her fingers flexed around the vial before it was dropped in the table with care that she didn’t really want to give at that moment. She was glad for Mina’s willingness for physical proximity, it meant that the swirling of anxiety on her stomach could be staved off until both women went back to their own quarters. “But if we wanted to achieve anything, it’s also an inevitability.”
A frown from Ochako “Because we’re women.”
A huff from Mina “Because we’re omega.”
A nod from Lia “Because we’re both.”
Silence fell stifling on top of the three of them, though Mina made sure to cling even tighter to her and Ochako with a sort of restless energy that most times was contagious and that now was obviously just making things even tenser for the pink haired girl. Mina was the extrovert of the group, the one that always bounced into everything head first and that had made it easier to blend into the crowds of betas and alphas that populated the bustling city and as proxy the castle where they all worked and resided.
Omegas were… rare. As in hide them inside four walls and wait for the highest bidder kind of rare. Betas had become the norm these past few centuries, but alphas didn’t really dip in number from before, did they? No, omegas had been the ones that had been the only dipping statistic, with omega births declining over the years as if the magic that had sparked on their veins had somehow had to do with the change. No, no one had understood what had led to such a change, but the fact was that the lesser omegas there were, the less probably one was to be born. It was simply a matter of genetics, really.
And as they became rarer, the search for them caught on fire. Omegas were taken to be the most fertile, the best parents, the best healers. Their quirks often revolved around something that would help with day to day chores, from healing small cuts to producing food. Quirks as theirs… well, they should have belonged to alphas if customs were to be taken into consideration.
Having into account the three women in the room could very well care less about what the fuck everyone thought was customs…
“Can you secure more ingredients for the next batch?” Lia asked Ochako with a tilt of her head, watching as her friend leaned her head against Mina’s arm in thought.
“I’m not due for scouting for another two weeks, so I’ll have to wait until then.” Part of the royal guard, Ochako Uraraka was on the lower ranks, but still making a steady climbing for someone who had only been through training for the past three months. The fact was that her gravity manipulation quirk was well suited for both stealth and combat, and she was a damn good asset for anyone.
And to think that would have all been wasted if she had been carted off into a marriage at a young age like it happened to any omega that appeared on society’s radar.
Sold to the highest bidder, locked away between four walls and bred over and over again. Only there to look pretty and nothing else.
“I can get my part by the end of this week.” Mina chimed in with a thoughtful nod of her head. “Aiwaza is out on a diplomat mission until the end of the month and he has left me in charge until he comes back.”
Poison specialist Mina Ashido was a force to be reckoned with. The acid she could produce was highly corrosive, and as such, more than potentially dangerous. But it was her knowledge of how to actually apply it to her mastery of other dangerous materials that had allowed her to raise through the ranks as Aiwaza’s apprentice. Another good mind would have been lost in the lack of omega rights if they hadn’t grabbed life by its horns.
“I know I can count on you.” Emotion swirled on her green eyes, deep and unsettling as it was, those two women were her friends. Her family. They had been together when their small village had been raided and the three hidden away by her mother’s protective quirk. They had been together as grief struck at the loss of what had been their everything. They had been together as their quirks first developed. They had been together as they followed the old journal her mother had left and found the ingredients for the potion. They had been together as the first rounds made them so sick they thought they wouldn’t survive. They had been together and found ways to change the recipe, make it better, more effective.
They had been together when they had succeed.
And now they were together as they passed as nothing more than betas, scents and cycles halted and hidden away by the concoction that had been their salvation. There were still instincts, and though their own scents couldn’t be felt by anyone, that didn’t mean that they couldn’t smell the world beyond. It wasn’t like betas didn’t have scents because they did, it was more of the fact that they had to actively want them to come out that was the difference. Their pheromones were hidden, untapped.
They could have never passed as alphas, but betas was good enough. Betas had given them more than enough cover for what they wanted to do. They just wanted a chance to be themselves, to utilize their quirks to the best of their abilities and make a name for themselves. Well, Mina and Ochako wanted to make a name for themselves, be the heroes of their own story. Get revenge on the band of bastards that terrorized the kingdom. The same one that had murdered an entire village just to get to the few omegas that had presented that year. The same ones that hadn’t noticed the three little girls hidden away in a secret space.
Oh, it didn’t mean that Lia didn’t want revenge. No. Her blood still boiled and her heart still ached and she would have their bodies on the ground in front of her. But… fuck, she didn’t want to draw attention on herself, didn’t want to be indispensable to the castle and the military like Mina and Ochako. She was going to finish her studies and then she was going to leave. She would never stop her friends, no, her sisters, of searching for the life that had been denied to them after the designation had been found. But well, her suicide mission would be her own.
“We should return.” Ochako finally said. There was a shared nod, a finger on a shadow and the room was suddenly cast in darkness. It was the closest one to all of their quarters, but at a safe distance from the most frequented parts of the castle. She had found it during her first few days, back when they had arrived. Knowing very well just how important it was to know every corner of the place. They need a spot to meet, one where they wouldn’t be found.
Ochako slipped away first with a kiss to their cheeks, a smile, and a promise to see them after breakfast. Because of her entanglement with the army, the brunette was the only one of them that didn’t reside on the castle per se but its grounds. On the barracks that were site for the female dorms. Mina slept in the ground level of the castle, near the large doors that led to the private gardens of the herbalists, doctors and of course, poison experts. And Lia, well, Lia slept two floors up, and two doors down from the library and hall of records she was the keeper of while Nezu was busy doing gods know what. Her bets were on espionage. The elderly man had always been too smart for his own good, and she had been scared at first that he would have sniffed the ruse the three women had put up the first couple of weeks.
Mina slipped out after enough time had passed that it wouldn’t be too suspicious. There was the same affectionate kiss to her cheek, a meeting of their foreheads in a silent please be careful gesture, and then she was alone. The darkness didn’t bother her, and it did give her time to gather the three vials and secure them on the hidden pocket of her skirts. They clinked together, but the sound was muffled by the heavy fabric of her winter dress. Hm… things would be more difficult as the season changed and so did her clothes. Then the sound wouldn’t be so easy to hide in the silent halls.
No matter, that was something that she had to consider later. Maybe wrap the vials in some kind of fabric to make them less likely to make sounds. As enough time lapsed, Lia finally moved from her place near the door, being careful when closing it so the sound didn’t carry. She had expected the click of the door, what she didn’t expect where the words that rung in the air.
“You know…” the tone was light, familiar, shining with amusement. “I always wondered why a librarian would meet with a foot soldier and a poison’s apprentice.”
The breath got knocked out of her body by surprise, heart hammering on her chest as she was quick to turn and bow, eyes coming to rest on his shiny leather boots. Fuck, she had not smelled his approach. Why hadn’t she smelled his approach?
“Your highness.” A greeting, she still did not straighten up. “We traveled together for a long time before arriving on these four walls.” Be as close to the truth as possible, do not let him see through the omission and lies. “We’re kindred spirits and we enjoy being together for some tea.”
Finally, she did straighten up, but her eyes still did not meet his. Not because of his station, but because crown prince Izuku Midoriya was a menace.
“Tea, uh.” His voice was so jovial. There was probably a smile etched on his face right now, and as much as she tried not to, Lia had to see for herself. Green met green and ah yes, there it was.
Sharpness, interest, mirth.
His eyes never lied, did they? Izuku was smart, cunning, a throve of knowledge that was impressive to everyone around him. Statistics of the battles his kingdom fought, names of not only those closest to him but the every living soul that lived on the castle. He knew their quirks, and she would bet her own ass that he knew their weaknesses.
“Why have tea at such a late hour?” still that trivial tone, as if this was a mere conversation between friends. As if she didn’t think that the prince was hiding something very well lethal. Izuku was friendly, charismatic, never once had he ever acted like he had something to hide, something that he couldn’t let come to light. Everyone was always dazzled by the sunshine that was his personality. She had been dazzled by it at first.
“My friends live very busy lives, this is the only time they have for themselves.” Her words were careful, thought over so she didn’t make him think they were spies. Well, not more than he probably already thought, because why would he be in such a dark corridor? Why would he have waited until both her friends had made their way out only to stop her on her tracks? No, he had something planned, and she wasn’t going to be fooled.
“That is true.” A gloved hand was raised to his lips in thought, but his eyes never left hers, even when her own decided to focus on his boots again. She hid the sniff of the air with a heavy breath, his scent was still somewhat hidden, she could only smell the distinctive sharpness of an alpha, but not exactly what made it his own scent. Hm, maybe moonclover, that explained why he had managed to get the drop on her.
Silence stretched in the air and Lia tried not to fidget, he made her too anxious, too nervous.
“Is that all, your highness? I find myself tired and I have to be up early to open the doors of the library for the scholars.” A step towards her. Ah, no, that wasn’t good. “Your highness?”
“I saw the funniest papers before I took my night stroll.” Oh, so that was what the excuse he was giving to having been in this part of the castle? Smart, anyone would fall for it, hell, she should fall for it and use it next time anyone caught her out of her quarters after hours. “Have you heard of the League?”
Suddenly her heart was on her throat and her palms were clammy and why the hell did darkness have to be so effective in fucking up her power? It hid the shadows that she could touch, that she could manipulate. She just needed one touch and she could immobilize him and make her escape. He didn’t need her to speak to continue.
“Of course you haven’t.” That same jovial tone, but as Lia dared to look at Izuku’s face, there it was, that same sharpness in his eyes. And his smile was different too, it had an edge to it. Lia was sure that she had been very thorough in hiding the papers in the hall of records, and her research never left her private quarters. “I mean, that is very confidential information.”
There had to be a point to his prodding, right? “Confidential?” play dumb, play dumb. “Your highness, I must say I do not know what you are speaking about.” It was good that she couldn’t really smell him, she didn’t need that weighting on her mind and instincts. “I only keep things organized at the library and records, I do not have the permission to read the documents.”
“Of course not.” A laugh, so sweet and tilting that it almost relaxed her. She wanted to relax, and if it had been coupled with his scent, she would have definitively had a harder time keeping her muscles tense and ready to bolt. Izuku Midoriya was a menace. “And you’re a good girl.”
There was no helping the way the drop in tone washed over her, how the two words affected her. It was silly and idiotic, but beneath her buried scent and halted cycle, she was still an omega. And omega that had just been praised by an alpha that she was attracted to. A hitch of her breath that she covered with a cough, green eyes looking anywhere but at the prince. Alarms were blaring on her mind and all she wanted to do was book it, but fuck, if she gave as much as a step, she would give up the fact that it had been something illicit that the three friends had been doing. That she had done more than read over the classified records.
“I try to be, your highness. All I want is to be of help.” Not a lie, really. She did enjoy being of help, but the fact was that her help would be in making sure the League couldn’t get to more villages like her own. Couldn’t keep wrecking terror in the lives of the people in the country. She just needed to solidify her information, needed to know exactly how many they were, what their quirks were. Needed to have a plan at ready so it wasn’t a suicide mission without a point. After all, she already had the perfect bait. “Is there anything else?” The can I go went unsaid.
“Their last attack was two days ago.” Her heart halted, her breath hitched and against her will, her eyes were once more meeting his own. That was new information, one that had yet to be recorded so she could have a look at it. Izuku continued through her shock “There was a small force of the army stationed at the town because we knew it would be their next target, one of them survived, so we finally know what they’re really after.”
“Did you not know before?” she did. Ochaco did. Mina did. They had never shared it with anyone else. After all, they didn’t even know the League was the one responsible until Lia had found out the name of the band just last month. They were after the best bargaining chips of all. The one thing that could buy entire battalions. The one thing that could give them enough riches to arm said battalion.
“A cremated village does not give much of information.” His comment was so light but it still brought grief to choke at her throat. She would have nightmares that night, she was sure of it. Of charred bodies and debris. Of the sickly scent of death and cut off pheromones. Of destruction and loneliness. Fuck, the years did not make it easier, did they? “As I was saying, one of the betas stationed there survived. I think you knew him. Yo Shindo.”
“He is part of my friend’s training group.” What was his quirk? Something to do with vibrations, right? She didn’t really know the guy, not more than her friends did, if she was honest. They still kept everyone at a safe distance.
“Correct, part of the thirteenth battalion. It’s really a miracle he has survived with such extensive burns, not to speak of the smoke inhalation.” His eyes did that hazy thing they sometimes did when he was about to spout his knowledge. Lia was enraptured. “We still don’t know if he will survive the next few days, but he was lucid enough to give his testimony. It’s impressive really, what someone can do with adrenaline in their systems, with the need to protect ingrained in every fiber of their being. Shindo said they destroyed half the men in one single hit. Awful fire power, blue flames.” Dabi. That had to be Dabi. “Then there was a woman, wicked aim, thirst for blood.” Toga Himiko. “A lizard hybrid, so I can only guess it’s an animal traits quirk.” There wasn’t a name on the files, but during the attack she had heard the name Spinner called out. “I guess the most dangerous is the leader, though, Shindo said he decayed one of the warriors to ash with just a touch of his hand.” Tomura Shigaraki. “It’s impressive just how much destruction four people can do.”
Lia opened her mouth but found that she could not get her voice to cooperate, so she closed it again. His eyes still hadn’t focused so it wasn’t like he wasn’t going to keep spewing information. “Shindo said they had a very specific reason for attacking that village. And you really have to wonder where they get their information, because it had just been submitted the week prior to the attack.” A thoughtful hum “They must really have a far reach, so I doubt that they don’t have accomplices. All black market traders must have them. And if not accomplices, at least helpers, people who will dispose of the goods.”
She wanted to run, so damn much, but he was still talking and it was information. It would come at a price eventually, but for now he was still spewing it and she was still very much taking it all in “They had registered an omega the week before.” Finally the sharpness returned to his eyes, and oh, it was so much worse to have the full force of his gaze on her. “They’re trading omegas for power, connections to the most ruthless of families.” The cape he was wearing shifted as he tilted to the side, weight coming to rest on just one of his legs. “Shigaraki wants the throne.”
Again with the silence, the stretchy kind. The one that seemed to wrap around her and suffocate her because what could Lia say that wouldn’t incriminate her, that wouldn’t show Izuku just how privy to that information she had been? The League had brought her village to the ground in search of the three of them, had killed over a hundred people in the matter of minutes. They were terrifying. Horribly so.
She would still like their head on a plate.
“Why are you confiding this on me, your highness?” she tried to play it as if she was confused, but her voice was so tired. She was so tired.
“You know, at first I thought you might be working for them.” He didn’t let her gasp of outrage interrupt him “But you never looked for information about battle strategies, about defense. They were all at your grasp, you could have been as careful with that as you were with the actual information you were looking for.” Something was thrown to her feet, something that made a soft thud as it landed. Lia bent to pick it up, paling at the small ring that had been wrapped in silk. It was nothing fancy or expensive, it was made of steel, after all. But it had been locked together with her research.
“You’ve been to my room.” She felt violated in a way. No one had ever dared to intrude upon her privacy, not even the people she considered family.
“I did always think you had pretty handwriting.” Izuku commented lightly, but there was a flash of teeth, and suddenly he wasn’t so jovial anymore. He was a predator, dangerous and callous and oh very ready to strike. “Those notes were very meticulous, you know? Mine are better though.”
Fuck, fuck, fuck. She really needed the clouds to get away from the moon so she could have a way to reach a shadow, any shadow. At least all he knew was that she had an unhealthy obsession with the League, there was no way that he could know about the real reason of it all.
“So, I study the League. I am in no way in cohorts with them, you don’t need to worry about me, your highness.” His eyes were too sharp, too dangerous.
“I have an extensive record of their previous attacks.” There had to be a point to why he was telling her this, right? It just had to be. “So of course, with this new information I just had to search the records to see if there was a pattern of omega registrations and their attacks. And can you guess what I found?”
A hole. He had found a hole of her own making because the first thing that Lia had done when she had been alone in the hall of records was find the damn omega registration corner and make sure no one could ever find their names on that list. “You found what you were looking for, your highness?” she tried for light, for curious, for something that would get his off her scent as if he wasn’t a bloodhound ready to pounce on its prey.
“I found an outlier.” Of course he didn’t get the bait, what was she expecting? “Every single village attacked had registered an omega sometime before the attack, all but one.”
Breath in. Breath out. Steady. No emotion on her face. She could do it, couldn’t she?
“So that left me with a very big question. Why would they go off pattern? I would understand if it was a port of commerce or even if it held a noble that put their full support on the kingdom, but no, it was a small village with just one trait. An uncommon number of omegas.”
Mei was a very small village, but it had boasted really good fertility rates. In all accounts.
“Maybe they hoped that by killing the mates they could get the omegas.” Please take the bait, please take the bait.
“We both know it doesn’t work that way.” No, it didn’t. Once fully mated, an omega would be crippled by the death of their mate. Some had lost their quirk, others had lost their will to live. But she didn’t think it would have mattered much to the league of villains. But it probably mattered to those that were counting on a whole omega, not just a shadow of themselves. “So that led me to think about the quiet little beta that I’ve seen sneak out of the hall of records more than once.” He had seen her? How long had he been watching her do her research on the league? How long had he concealed his presence and how long had he been planning to confront her with it?
And what did he have to gain by doing so?
“Your highness, I have done nothing to hinder your power or reign.”
“That’s the thing, what could you possibly achieve by collecting information about the League’s patterns?” Hints of pine and leather, his scent was starting to unravel. “You have not contacted with anyone besides your friends, you spend most of your time on your duties. You have nothing to gain in all of this. You do not wish for the downfall of the king. You don’t wish for the downfall of the kingdom.”
A step closer. Leather boots on the ground and an increase of her heart rate… and her need to bolt for the nearest exit. Could she jump out of the window and make a run for it? Probably not, prince Izuku was already quite quick on his feet, let alone if he used his quirk to improve his speed.
Leather, pine and lightening. His scent hit her full force as whatever he had taken finally wore off. It was as overwhelming as it always was, and in such close proximity nonetheless.
“So you can only wish for one thing - secrecy.” He stopped halfway towards her, enough that he could lower his voice “But secrecy over what? The three of you are already pretty secretive about your past, no one really knows where you come from and you’ve claimed that you’ve been nomads all your life. So why settle now?” oh. She had given him a mystery to solve. He liked mysteries. “So that had to be part of it, right? That little village, no records of new omegas in the registry. It all didn’t add up.”
“Your highness.” Her voice was high pitched even to her ears, fuck, how the fuck had he gotten all this figured out? “I do not know what you are hinting at, you can smell it for yourself. We’re betas. We’ve always been betas.”
He stilled, and suddenly his gaze was back on her. “I didn’t say it was the omega part that didn’t add up.”
Oh.
She had fucked up. Would the ground just swallow her up?
“Which begs the question. Why are you so keen on saying you’re a beta when I can obviously gather that on my own?” alarm bells all around her. Loud and chaotic and was it her heart? Beating at a mile a hour? “You’re not worried I think you’re a spy.” It wasn’t a question, so she didn’t even bother to answer. She could see the cogs on his head turning, could see the pieces falling into place.
He relaxed. “It has crossed my mind, but I put the possibility as an impossibility because one could never mask it that well. Even when I make use of moonclover I can never get the scent of alpha to stop clinging to my skin, then there’s the fact that you’ve been here enough for your cycle to have hit already. And it has not.” It would not, the potion they took halted it. It was a stasis of sort. But she wasn’t about to tell him that and give him more ammunition. “But that’s exactly it, isn’t it? You’re…”
His words were halted by her hands pressing to his lips. Lia hadn’t even felt herself move before he was on the tips of her toes, palms covering his mouth so the word would not pass through it. Her heart was beating so fast and her breath was coming in pants, she was becoming dizzy. His gloved fingers wrapped around her wrists, and she had never been gifted with strength, so it was easy for him to pull her hands from his face.
His smile was positively demoniac.
Lia had just confirmed what he thought was only a possibility.
And still he did not let go of her.
“Interesting.” It was very deliberate the way each fingers pulled away from her skin, it was even more deliberate the way he pushed past her to open the door of the room she had just been in with her friends. Was it that night? Or was she in a strange time warp? It felt like so long ago. “Do enter. Or would you rather discuss everything else in the open?”
No, she would not. And he was well aware of that, wasn’t he? How could he not be? Lia entered the room without complaint, but she did make a play to light the lantern she had turned off. Once more his fingers found her wrist. How had he approached her so quickly? “Ah, ah, ah.” He chided with a shake of his head “I’m not going to give you ammunition to run away.” Of course he knew about her quirk, of course. “I didn’t plan for this to be your secret, but it does not change the outcome.”
“The outcome.” She let her hand fall down to her side, so Izuku let go of her. Good, because Lia put as much distance between them as possible.
“Well, yes, you see. Blackmail.”
She blinked at that. “What? I have nothing you could possibly find useful, your highness”
“No? I guess you are but a peasant with no information to give me. Your quirk is useful, but you did not go into the army as Uraraka has done. You also do not have the expertise of a poison master like Ashido does. What can I possibly want from you?”
Lia frowned. All that he said was the truth, and she had no shame in that, after all, she wasn’t there to give her skills use, she was there to gather information and then bolt towards what was probably certain death. “Then what do you wish from me?”
“Entertainment.” His smile was easy going again, but there was still that edge to it that didn’t let her fall into the lull of security. Not that she would have when he had let the mask fall just a few minutes ago.
“Hire some bards for that.” The words escaped her mouth before she could stop them, and Izuku seemed surprised that she would bite back. But his smile seemed to widen at that.
“There it is. I’ve wondered where your claws were hidden, kitten.” Of all times that her mouth had to run its own course, it had to be when she was being threatened with exposure by the damn crown prince himself. “I’ve seen you use that sharp little tongue on a few soldiers before. But you’ve always been so polite to me.”
“You’re the crown prince.” She countered.
“Ah yes, that puts a dampener on tempers.” Was he mocking her? “But not that kind of entertainment.”
Lia frowned at that “I do not understand. What kind of entertainment can a prince wish for? You have a full library at your service. A kitchen full of the best chefs. A purse full of coins for what you cannot make for yourself.” His mirthful eyes egged her on “You have courtesans at your beck and call. I have nothing you do not already have.”
“You have my attention.”
“What?”
“I could destroy your life with this information, you know?” his comment was so flippant it made her want to slap him. “Omegas are supposed to be nothing but caretakers of children and home.”
“Then destroy my life.” How was it possible that his smile only increased? What was he getting at? She felt more like a mouse than a cat.
“Do you wish to bring Ashido and Uraraka down with you?” her heart dropped.
“What do you mean? I’m the omega.” She paled, but thankfully it was hidden by the darkness in the room. “Do not bring them into this.”
“Do you think I’m stupid, kitten?” he leaned his hip against the table, worked his gloves off his hands “You’ve made it a point to defend that the three of you were betas, not just that you were, as if I was going to wonder about their designation as well. You keep meeting up in this very room. And you have come together to work at the palace. If you’re capable of hiding so well, what’s to say you can’t hide them as well?” He leaned forward “They’d lose their jobs, the positions they earned through effort and merit. Such a shame.”
“You would not.” Would he?
“Want to bet their lives on it?” it wasn’t like Izuku didn’t know the answer that would leave her lips.
Shoulders sagged in defeat “No, I do not.”
Lia thought he would be speaking after that, instead she was met with silence. One that didn’t waver until she was looking at him once more. When had her eyes moved from his frame? Maybe during his speech about destroying the lives of the two people Lia would give her own for. “Alright.” She finally allowed “State your terms.”
Once again with that sharp twist of his lips, that smile that was more teeth than anything else. It was strange how attractive it was. “Your submission for my silence.”
Her mouth opened in surprise “My what?”
“Your submission.” He gave a tired sigh “I believe you are smarter than this. Why do you keep parroting that question?”
“You must know that I still don’t understand what you gain with any of this.” Besides pleasure that was, she wasn’t going to play dumb and pretend she didn’t know exactly what kind of submission he wanted from her. “Money buys everything, even submission. You have no need for blackmail to achieve that.”
“I have no need for money to achieve that.”
“Alright, so that makes it more baffling that you’re using blackmail to get what you can do with a few sweet smiles and words.”
Izuku chuckled. He chuckled as if it was funny that she was questioning his reasons for wanting such a thing from her. “You forget the value of entertainment in all of this. I could very well charm a pretty thing or buy the favors of a courtesan, but then where would be my fun?”
“In sex?” she looked at him as if he had grown another head. Maybe he had.
“You find sex fun?” Oh she’d fallen for that one.
“I would not know.” No point in lying if she was going to go through with this. “But your soldiers are pretty vocal.” So was Mina. But she wasn’t about to sully her friend’s name in front of the crown prince when the dirt wasn’t even dirt to begin with. Not if she had been anything else than a woman, than an omega.
His glee increased “Untouched.”
“Would it have mattered?”
“Not really.” He admitted with a shrug of his shoulders “But I can’t help but be pleased.”
“You also shouldn’t have been surprised. An omega is rarely touched before marriage.” It didn’t matter that marriage was usually so quick the ink had barely dried on the registration, it was still the truth. “So you wish for submission because it’s entertaining?”
A nod of his head and that damn smile “And because I’ve always wondered.” He didn’t continue, so she sent him a pointed but questioning look. He still left her to wait for a couple of unnerving seconds. “How you look with tears running down your face.”
Oh. Her face burned and once again she was glad for the cover of darkness, though by his chuckle, Lia could bet that Izuku knew very well the state his words had left her in “Pain achieves the same effect.” Would she rather have pain? She truly didn’t know.
“Maybe. I much prefer to see the tears for another reason.” A shrug of his shoulders, as if he was rolling her words off of them. So annoying. “Though I guess a little pain mixed with pleasure only heightens the sensations. I’m no stranger to some spanking from time to time.”
“You’re not going to put me over your knee like a misbehaving child.” She ground out with a huff, arms crossing over her chest.
“No, not like a child. You’ll see.” He waved her words as if they were nothing “You are in no position to make demands, are you? If I say jump, all you have to ask is how high. Secrecy of this magnitude comes at great cost, you know.”
“My self worth and agency, you mean.”
“You measure your own self worth, and the beauty of this arrangement is that your agency is to bend to my will. To fulfill my every whim. You’re going to submit out of your own free choice, kitten.” Lia closed her eyes and took a deep breath, which was a mistake as it did give her a whiff of his scent. He had no right smelling as good as he did. When he didn’t continue, she opened her eyes “Don’t try and fool yourself into thinking you had no agency in all of this.”
“The other choice is rubbish.” A glare directed at him, another laugh from his part.
“Ah, but a choice nonetheless.” Did he make fair deals? Probably not, but the fact was that it was a deal, one she could back out of. But doing so would have consequences that she could have shouldered if they had been hers alone. But she had Ochako and Mina to think about.
“My submission for your silence.” Lia finally agreed with a nod of her head, hands clasped behind her. “When should we do it.”
He leaned backwards, one hand idly reaching for the lantern to flick it on once more. Light filled the room, weak at first and then growing in strength as more fuel was added to the flame. “You seem to think it’ll be an one time thing.”
Lia frowned “Is it not?”
“Of course not. For as long as I want. Or at least as long as you want your secret kept.” He returned to his initial position, as if he hadn’t just dropped her in what seemed like a bathtub full of ice for all the cold that had sunk in her veins.
She grit her teeth. Stupid smart alpha. Instead of biting the bullet, she instead tried a diversion “You were against me turning the light on before, so why did you do it now?”
“You hadn’t agreed to anything before. You were still undecided, but now you have given your word for our deal, so I know that you won’t try and skirt away from it.” Izuku tilted his head “Who could have said that you wouldn’t have commandeered me through my shadow? Killed me and then ran away?”
“I would have not killed you, your highness.” As much of a manipulative guy as he was, she held no ill intent towards Izuku.
“Master.”
“What?” ok, maybe she was starting to harbor ill intent towards the crown prince.
“When we’re alone, that’s what you will call me. Because that’s what I am to you know, your master.” Oh, that was so self satisfaction on his tone. Lia did take back her words, she could very well kill him. But that would have meant putting herself in the shoes of a fugitive, and she still hadn’t gathered enough information to be sure she could take out at least one of the main elements of the League.
But the fact was that with him forcing her hand, well, the idea was something she couldn’t shake out of her head. His eyes are darker than hers, still a vivid green, but not the aqua that her own vision held. And they were amused, the sharpness in them out in the open because he had already shown her just who he was behind the smiles and laughter. Izuku was a good strategist, had always been, and he probably had been planning everything for a while had he not?
“You look positively murderous.” He leaned forward then, fingers stretching and catching onto a lock of brown hair, twirling it around without much thought. “How much of a difference is it to call me one thing over the other? As your prince, I still hold power over you. My word is only surpassed by my father’s, you know that.”
“As a prince, you do not hold full power over my free will.” He was studying her again, fingers letting go of her hair so he could grip the table instead. “A Master does.” She pressed her lips together. “So no, it’s not just a change in words and you know it very well.”
“Aren’t you a sharp one, kitten?” once again with that nickname, Lia frowned but did not comment, instead, she crossed her arms and looked out of the window and into the night sky. What could she say? What more could the omega voice out that hadn’t been said already? “So will you do it?”
Fuck, he was pushing her buttons.
Her shoulders tensed and then… And then she was relaxing because she was trapped and he had her in the palm of his hand because one wrong move, one wrong word and all they had built these past months would be crumbling down.
“I will.”
The sound of his hands clapping together brought her attention back to the alpha, his scent swallowed up the room, slowly digging into her reserves until the way her muscles relaxed wasn’t due to her defeat, but by her own genetic make up. The concoction that halted their cycles and hid their scents didn’t actually erase their instincts. Scents still affected them, as did alpha behaviors in general. Lia wasn’t sure how an alpha tone would make them react because that hadn’t happened yet, but she didn’t doubt that if it ever did their cover could be blown.
“Come here.” It was a soft request, and one that she heeded, walking the few steps until she was near enough for one of his hands to grasp her hip. The heat of his hand was searing even through the fabric of her dress as he moved her to his liking, his legs opening so she could fit between them. His eyes were darker, and finding herself not really capable of handling them, she slowly moved hers to the side. Her eyes caught the earing he was wearing, an onyx pendant in the shape of a diamond that reached the raised collar of his cape. It was pretty, and it fit him in a way that she wasn’t expecting.
They spent a few minutes like that. Her hands twitched as she wondered if she was supposed to do something but she didn’t really want to ask, and Izuku didn’t seem very keen on going further than just being close to her. He wasn’t touching her anymore, his hand had fallen away the second she had slotted herself between his thighs, and even them were parted enough that the omega had enough space to leave her hands at her side and still not touch him. Once again she was met with the question of what exactly did he want? Why her?
And still he was close enough that she could feel the heat radiating from his body.
Her hands twitched again and she finally gave into the temptation to cross her arms over her chest, if only for something to do. The alpha reached for her wrists before she could actually do it, though, thumbs running over the scent glands on her wrists and leaving her heart a stuttering mess.
It was enough to snap her out of silence. “You cannot do that!” He let her pull her hands away, back to her sides, and she would not think she had actually been strong enough to get out of his grasp. That would be fooling herself because Izuku was and would always be stronger than her. “I cannot smell like you or rumors will spread.”
“Uh.” From the corner of her eye Lia watched his head tilt as if he was in thought “I guess it would be strange if you suddenly had the scent of an alpha on you.”
She didn’t bother to tell him that it would be even stranger that the scent came from the crown prince himself. He wasn’t supposed to have his attention on her, that was for certain.
“How do you manage it?” curiosity laced his tone and it brought her eyes to him, he was looking at her with the biggest and most expectant eyes, they weren’t a ploy, that was just what he looked like when he was faced with shiny new information, with a shiny new puzzle. “I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that you do not have a scent on you.” He was talking faster now and it was almost endearing, the way he appeared almost child like in his curiosity. “Me and Kachaan used to try and see who could stretch their scent in the widest area right after transitioning, but then it’s been more than a nuisance when dealing with political ambassadors because they are always waiting for that one tell from you and your scent just gives it away.”
Like his was now, becoming brighter, lighter, the pine in a sunny day, well worn leather from good use, and the field after a thunderstorm. In lieu of herself, Lia couldn’t help but take a heady breath of it. He didn’t seem to notice. “You don’t know how good it’d be for us if we could just tamp down the scent for longer than a couple of hours, especially for Kachaan, he never quite got the hang on control of his emotions. And father sent him in a political tour of the kingdoms, that wasn’t the smartest decision if I can be honest. But if I was the one to go then I would have probably missed you.”
And just like that his attention was back on her even though her mind was still reeling for all that information dump he had decided on giving her. Was she even supposed to answer him? Apparently not as he continued.
“You would have passed right under his radar.” That would have been a dream come true “He’s really good when it comes to battles, and heck, he as a mean brain inside that thick skull of his, but he also doesn’t really pay attention to most things that don’t revolve around a battle field.” Was he complimenting his brother or was he insulting him? Lia was unsure and Izuku kept spewing information at a quick pace and she had to listen really closely to be able to actually take it all in “I barely noticed. If I hadn’t seen you sneak into the hall of records I might have thought you an innocent bystander on all of this.”
“I am an innocent bystander.” She was a victim. Family slaughtered. Life thrown in the air. And when she had tried to make something out of it, the rug had to be once again pulled from under her feat in the form of an alpha with too sharp green eyes. “I am not a spy, your….”
His eyes dared her to continue. His earlier words resonated in her mind, so she closed her eyes before taking a deep breath. “I am not a spy, Master.” Lia corrected herself.
“I am still unsure about that.” His hands came up to grab at her hair, not really to pull but to move the strands until they were framing her face, tips falling down to her hips. Maybe she should have cut it short like Ochako and Mina’s, but they had done so in favor of practicality, after all, one was a warrior and the one dealt with poisons every day of her week. She dealt in bound tomes and loose papers. “Tell me, why the interest in the League?”
“Don’t you have everything figured out already?” her voice was bitter. “I offered you my submission, I never said anything about my secrets or my mind.”
“You’re right.” The sting to her scalp was so sudden it made Lia hiss and open her eyes, he had caught a handful of brown hair in his hands and tugged. In a way it felt like punishment for her refusal to give him the answers that he sought “But you must also know I will find out eventually.”
“If you wanted answers that bad you could have made that your deal.” His fingers let go of her hair to massage her stinging scalp, and the attention felt too good. A soft exhale from her frame as her body relaxed even if he had been the one to cause the pain in the first place. “Does that mean you want to change your deal?”
A pause. He surveyed her with those green eyes of his, this time she didn’t shy away from his gaze, not even when his fingers moved down her neck and over her shoulders. Down through her arms until his hands came to rest on her elbows and bent her arms, it was instinct for Lia to clutch his forearms, and it was probably his intention on all of this, was it not?
“You’ll tell me.”
“Alright.” She was going to continue but Izuku shook his head, making her frown in confusion. “Isn’t that your way of telling me that you want information now?”
He smiled at her “It’s my assurance that you’ll eventually tell me.” A hum, drawn out, his arms retreating so he could grasp her hands and lead them to his thighs. The fabric beneath was soft, and she thought they might be satin. What a strange detail to hang on. “For now I’ll be happy with the fact that I have you under my gaze. If you truly are dangerous, there is not much you can do if I keep you occupied, is there?”
“So you still…” she frowned.
“Yes, the deal still stays.” She didn’t know if she should feel disappointed or not. The fact was that there wasn’t much harm about telling him why she was so interested with the League. It was more a question of principle when Izuku had already figured out so much about her past, even though what was one last piece, it was still hers to give. And Lia liked the fact that she got to keep something for herself. “Hey, look at me.”
She set her eyes on his, why did they keep wandering? Why was it so hard to actually look the prince in the eyes for more than a couple of seconds? Maybe because she felt like he could read her like an open book whenever his gaze stayed on her for too long, maybe because getting such undivided attention was strange and climatic and she really did not know what he truly wanted.
A pressure on her lips, the brunette was going to look down to see what it was but his voice kept her locked in place “Eyes on me. Do not look away.” A couple of seconds ticked by and when her gaze stayed on his, he finally gave a nod of approval. “Open up.”
Oh.
Her lips parted, and it didn’t take a genius to figure out that he was pressing two of his fingers into her mouth. A blush raised on her cheeks as he stopped just short of the second knuckle, not really doing anything but staying there. And yet, she still squirmed under his watchful stare, still tried to will herself relaxed because she didn’t really know the why or how of things. God, everything was strange and she was caught in his web and in a way, at that moment, it all felt a bit dreamy.
His fingers were long, and though they had seemed thin and lithe when in contrast with his own body, they were obviously thicker than she expected when near her own. When inside her mouth. And God, it was filthy the way he pushed them further in, just up to his second knuckle, only to pull them out to the tips and push back again. Was she supposed to do anything? Should this be heating up her body like it was? To take her mind out of everything, her eyes focused on the freckles on his cheek, barely visible as his body mostly blocked the light from the lantern, but if she could count them…
Izuku stilled, a disapproving sigh leaving his lips “Thought I told you to look at me.”
She could only form words because his fingers left her mouth, wet with her drool that he traced over her cheek and down her jaw, leaving a wet trail that cooled down in the night air. “I am looking at you, your highness.”
Another heavy disapproving sigh “You do not do well with direct requests, do you?”
Her mouth opened to retort, his words stopped her.
“You looked away from my eyes. You called me by the wrong title. If I had issued another order, would you have also breezed past it as well?” she hadn’t even noticed. Her lips remained closed, though, she didn’t really care to give him an apology when she wasn’t sorry about her behavior. A beat of silence, he was waiting for an apology. Lia still didn’t give him one.
His laugh was unexpected, so loud she wanted to cover his mouth because she was afraid it would be heard out of the room. Did he want to be caught? It wasn’t like his reputation would be the one to fall into shambles. So did he even care? “Brat.”
“What?”
“You keep repeating that question.” Another full body chuckle that she felt because her hands were still on his thighs. He leaned forward a bit, still not fully entering her personal space in a way, but still too close for comfort. “But yes, a brat. I had something else planned, but can’t really let you get away with defying me twice in a row.”
Something different planned? Was that the reason he had his fingers in her mouth? She couldn’t really see how having them between her lips would have aided anything that would give her pleasure. Lia tried to wrack her brain for the details of sexual exploits that Mina had told her, but really, all she could think about was…
“Kneel.”
His hands moved to her own, stilled them from moving and helped her steady her body as she moved to her knees. Now she was eye level with his crotch and could notice the obvious raise on the fabric. She half wondered what was he drunk on, if on the control he held over her in that moment or the fact that he had watched his fingers do a facsimile of what he was going to do now.
As she settled into the knew position, Izuku’s hands moved to the ties that kept the front of his pants closed, undoing them with a dexterity she wasn’t sure she would have. But unlike what Lia was expecting, he didn’t reach to take himself out of the confines. She chanced a glance at him and oh, he was watching her.
“Do you know what I want from you?” his question caught her off guard.
“Overall? Sex. Right now? My bet’s on my mouth.” A quirk of her lips, not really a smile, but close. He hummed and his fingers were once again pressing against her lips, this time, he didn’t have to tell her to part them. Izuku resumed what he had been doing before, thrusting them in and out at a leisurely pace, as if they had the whole night for him finish what he wanted. In a way, she guessed that they did have it.
“Yes.” His voice was lower now, and as Lia looked up at him, his eyes were transfixed by the sight of his fingers on her mouth. “More than that.” His eyes darkened as his fingers stopped their thrusts to push farther into her, until they were down to the last knuckle and her throat was constricting around them in an effort to get them out. “You’re going to take me in this pretty mouth of yours.” His fingers pulled enough that they weren’t testing her gag reflex anymore “And I’m going to fuck it until you’re a sobbing mess.” He pushed his fingers forward once more, showing just what he meant by forcing them even further down if that was even possible.
His words were dirty and his actions were dirtier, and yet, surprisingly, she found herself aching between her legs at the idea of being used by him. She was going to blame that one on his scent still clinging to her nostrils and making her light headed. Or maybe that was the way that she had stopped breathing the moment his fingers had pushed down her throat again.
A heady gulp of air as they finally pulled back, a thin strand of saliva connecting her shiny lips to his equally shiny fingers “Breathe through your nose when you have something on your mouth, otherwise you’re going to pass out.”
“Okay.” That was good advice that she didn’t know if she would remember when it was his length in her mouth instead of his fingers, but really, it was almost sweet the way he was trying to ease her discomfort in some way. Or maybe it was just to heighten his own pleasure? But Lia thought she had heard some of the soldiers mentioning they liked when someone gagged on their cock?
The hand that hadn’t been on her mouth slipped inside his pants, and her attention was stolen away from her own mind towards the length that was taken out of the fabric. A shade darker than the skin in his body, somehow she had expected it to be harder than it was, or angrier looking. It was definitively thicker and longer than she had expected though, not that she had any kind of comparison. Maybe they were all that size. Lia could feel Izuku’s eyes on her, as if he was expecting her to say something, what was she supposed to say? “Uh. I don’t know what to think.” That did sum it up and it would probably be enough for him.
“Would it help if I told you it’s not fully hard yet.” Her eyes snapped to his face to be met with the most amused glance that she had ever gotten from him, she flushed furiously and looked back at his cock with narrowed eyes. What did he mean when he said it wasn’t fully hard yet? It certainly didn’t look floppy to her.
He laughed at her reaction, increasing her embarrassment by twofold. Her eyes watched in fascination as his hand started to move up and down the length, his chest expanding as he gave a pleasurable breath that somehow made that dull ache between her thighs grow thicker. And it was then that she understood that he hadn’t been kidding, as more blood flowed to his length, he grew harder and thicker, the head of him becoming redder. Okay, so that was obviously way thicker than his fingers had been.
Lia licked her lips, and she could feel the way his eyes had zeroed in the motion. A drop of liquid collected on the tip of his cock, and Izuku swiped it with his thumb, but instead of rubbing it on himself, he brought it against her lips. The invitation was clear. Once more she opened her mouth, and once more his finger found its way inside.
This time her tongue touched the pad, took in the drop with a small swipe. It tasted salty sweet, not unpleasant, but at the same time strange. A pleased hum from him as his thumb slipped from her mouth but he still didn’t really tell her she should start, was he waiting for her to make the first move? Should Lia bend down and take him into her mouth? Or maybe she should lick him just as she did with his finger?
God, she really didn’t know what to do and a part of her really, really wanted to make sure she pleased the alpha. That was the omega in her, wasn’t it? The one that was taken by being on her knees in front of an alpha that only had eyes for her at that moment, one whose scent enveloped her in a way that made her tremble. His scent had become headier with arousal, she hadn’t even noticed before, but it was impossible not to now.
What was he waiting? Why wasn’t he saying anything? Lia squirmed, nervous and unsure, trying to make sense of the thoughts running through her mind though some of them didn’t really seem to be hers. They were flashes of instinct, the omega inside of her unfurling because of the situation she found herself in.
Finally, Izuku took pity on her. Or maybe he had worked her up to the place he wanted her to be. One of his hands cupped the back of her head, applying pressure so she leaned forward, mouth opening tentatively as the distance became smaller. His grip on her hair stopped her just shy of pressing her lips against what she thought would be a very soft skin. Lia swallowed, not really keen on breaking the silence that enveloped them like a blanket. It flitted across her skin and left her feeling wired and aching, it was a strange kind of adrenaline that had the brunette huffing out a breath wondering just what he had planned for her.
Her heart hammered on her throat, eyes closing as she tried to get her breathing to fall back to the regular rise and fall of her chest. The waiting was killing her, literally leaving her breathless and squirming and Lia still didn’t know what the alpha wanted and it was too damn frustrating. His fingers wrapped around her throat. Her eyes shot to look at him, and it was… her lack of breath had nothing to do with the hand splayed on her neck. The green of his eyes was dark, pupils swallowing up his iris, under that gaze one would think that they were the most desired being on the planet. She hadn’t doubted him before when he had told her he could get submission without paying for it, but the idea was burned to ashes just by that look. Anyone would have killed to be pinned by such a stare.
Her fingers curled on the fabric of his thighs, looser now that they were untied and pushed just bellow his hips, her breath puffed against his cock and she could see more precum glistening on the tip of it. How strange was it that in that moment she almost thought it pretty? What a silly concept. Lia still didn’t know if the arousal was for her or simply for the headiness of control over her.
Maybe she was no better than the sluts someone claimed omegas to be when faced with a dick so close to her face, maybe all she needed was an alpha looking at her for more than a second and she was weak. Or maybe, just maybe, it was her own reaction to him. To Izuku.
“Tongue.” His voice was pure sin. Low and growly and her thighs pressed together in answer as though he had said it between her legs instead of above her. Would his sounds of pleasure be voiced in that same tone? Oh, she really hoped they would.
Lia stuck her tongue out, amazed when he finally pressed his length to the small muscle. The skin of him was saltier than the taste she had of his precum, but as he rubbed the head of his cock firmer against her tongue she felt the taste of it again. A soft hum from her, eyes half lidded but still looking up at him, watching as the corners of his eyes crinkled just so when she gave a tentative lick. She did again and was rewarded with a soft groan, his hand giving so she’d be allowed to move as she wished.
The brunette still didn’t move her hands, kept with fingers curled on his pants, even as she leaned further into him, tongue running down the vein on the underside of him. He was velvety and warm, the taste wasn’t unpleasant, and his heavy breathing made her conscious of her own. The two of them stayed like that for a while, green eyes settled on her frame as she explored the length of him with varying strokes of her tongue.
It was slow, it was bewitching, she had to break it.
Her cheek pressed against his thigh, aqua eyes looking up at him “You said you were going to make me cry. I don’t see how this will achieve that.” Was that her voice? It was as breathy as his had been a couple of minutes prior, an octave lower than her normal tone.
His laughter was as unexpected as the hand that cupped her free cheek, Lia looked up at him dumbfounded, not really understanding what was so funny about what she had said. “You’re a brat.”
Heat filled her cheeks at his words, face pressing against his thigh as she groaned “Shut up.”
“I’ve been going slow because this is your first time taking a cock inside of your mouth, just because I’m not immediately jumping to have those pretty lips wrapped around me doesn’t mean I won’t get to my end goal just the same.” Okay, yeah, that kind of made sense and made more embarrassment flush deep inside of her. She shouldn’t have said anything, should she? His fingers tugged at her hair, bringing her attention back to him, letting him lead her head from his thigh back to his cock. “But I’ll bite this time.”
The blunt head of him pressed against the seam of her lips and she opened without qualms, letting him thrust the length into her mouth with another one of those groans that made her thighs press together. His hand weaved itself into her hair, tugging at the scalp as he guided her up and down his cock. Lia pressed her tongue against the underside of him and was rewarded with a breath that sounded more like a moan, so she knew she had done well. With every tug of her hair, her mouth went farther down, though he was still only letting half of it slip inside of her mouth.
She discovered why when she forced herself to take him further than he was pushing her, cock slipping into her throat and making her shudder and gag. The panic was immediate, and his look as Izuku allowed her to pull away from him was the visual of ‘I told you so’. Lia squirmed under the gaze, upset with herself for pushing but at the same time upset at herself for not being able to take it. A determined breath was given before the brunette was returning to his cock, taking him into her mouth again.
“Relax your throat.” His thumb rubbed against her jaw and she looked at him before closing her eyes with a hum. And oh! Did he just twitch against her tongue? Did that mean that humming against him felt good? Maybe it was the vibrations… Taking his previous advice, his newest and poor sheer stubbornness, Lia pressed on, taking more and more of him until her lips were pressed against his navel.
It was an accomplishment that was uncomfortable, and she had to pull back up straight away because her throat constricted around him so much she was afraid she would forget how to breathe. She would probably have chocked if she didn’t pull away straight away. Still, she looked up at Izuku with triumph in her eyes and lips shiny from her own saliva.
His thumb rubbed the wetness down to her chin “Such a good girl.” Oh, oh. The praise traveled down her spine and to her core, making it clench around nothing, making her feel empty and pent up. “I wasn’t going to make you deepthroat me yet, but you did it all on yourself.” Was that whine her? By the way his eyes sparkled, yeah, it had been. Izuku straightened his posture so he wasn’t leaning against the table anymore, and Lia did have to raise on her knees so she was still eye level with his length. “So you’re going to let me cum down your throat too, won’t you, kitten?”
“Yes.” She breathed.
“Yes, what?”
A beat of hesitation “Yes, master.”
“Very good.” She didn’t have time to deal with his praise before he was pushing into her parted mouth again, and this time? He let go of all pretenses of keeping himself in control, the grip on her hair sent tingles down her spine, his pace wasn’t punishing, but it wasn’t soft either.
She gagged and choked more than a couple of times, forgot to breathe through her nose, forgot to relax her throat. He slowed down then, but it soon picked pace once more when she calmed down. Her jaw was starting to ache from being open without reprieve, and there were tears in the corners of her eyes from the times she had gagged on his cock. And yet, she found herself enjoying having him take control of her, enjoyed being used for his pleasure in a sick sort of way. His praise was still ringing on her ears and her core felt empty and neglected and how bad would it be if she snuck a hand under her skirts to touch her aching clit?
Lia didn’t even get to try. With one last groan, he pushed her head as further down as it could go, buried himself in her mouth, down her throat. She chocked as the first spurts of cum shot, panic welling inside of her and tears streaming down her face. She was dizzy by the time he pulled away, coughing up spit and cum into her hand with cheeks red and shiny from tears.
When she finally stopped coughing, Lia looked up at Izuku only to find him already tucked back into his pants, clothes as straight as if nothing had happened. There was a tell tale flush to his cheeks, and his eyes were still dark and lustful, but no one would have said he had just finished orgasming. “And that’s why you have to breathe through your nose.” He ran his fingers through her hair, soothing her bruised ego with his touch and then his words. “You were a very good girl letting me use your mouth like that.”
He didn’t miss the way her thighs rubbed together, green eyes following the movement before his hand moved under her skirts, pressed against the thin shift, felt her heat through the flimsy material. Lia had the thought of his fingers doing what hers usually did when she brought herself over the edge, but all he did was give a pleased hum at her state before withdrawing.
She must have been staring incredulous at him, because Izuku let out a laugh “Next time you think about being a brat, remember that ache between your legs, kitten.” He tapped her nose before making his way to the door. “I hope you have a pleasant evening.” And with that he was gone and Lia was left alone and frustrated, aching and unfulfilled.
Her legs were gathered against her chest, arms coming to wrap around them, allowing the brunette to crawl into a ball and press her face into her knees. Eventually she would have to leave to go to her own room, but for now she just wanted wallow in a bit of self misery fueled by sexual frustration.
Crown prince Izuku knew the secret she and her friends carried, and she had just given him her submission as payment for secrecy. She didn’t regret it, but she also wasn’t pleased with herself over having been so careless as to have allowed for him to follow the crumbs right back to her.
It didn’t matter. What was done was done, and all she had to do was continue on the path she had been and hope to get enough information to form a plan against the League. She’d find them, enact her revenge and then… Lia didn’t know. But that was for another introspection.
Raising, she once more taped the shadow of the lantern, using her quirk to turn it off before leaving the small room quietly. It was much later, after she had washed the taste of semen and him out of her lips and the evidence of her unfulfilled arousal that she would have a very cathartic thought.
If the League wasn’t her death, Izuku Midoriya might very well be it.

I got a bit sick on my first week back in college after my break and decided to see how many fanfic's I've done this year that I enjoyed. As I did a lot and kinda want to share it on this blog.
All of them are basically for the My Hero Academy so likely only those in that fandom would care but hope you like! Many others aren't completed because I'm a bit flighty but if people nudge it enough I might go back to them.
But for now I'll only show the completed stuff that I liked the most that I wrote! I feel most proud of these.
Some Completed Fanfics of 2023:
Treasure Vault (Rewrite) - A rewrite of an original hitter of All for One's Point of View on Vaulting his little brother. Step into the shoes of All for One the human nature of contradiction and weakness. One of my favorite things to write and one that gave me the most joy when originally made it and even more in the rewrite.
Don't you want to become a cult leader? - A One-shot involving pre-All for One but is very much an adult. Just a glimpse of a man in Japanese society that slowly going to hell yet expected to suck it up. While trying to raise his teenage little brother whom he was much too young to care for. A glimpse at a tragedy and cultish behavior.
A Look into All for One - A series of prompts I did here on tumblr at the request of followers. All of it is All for One focused with different pairings like AFO x Inko, AFO x Nagant, and even a AFO x Machia.
Love of a Saint - A domestic AFO x Inko pre-canon where they move in together to have a nice life. Deals with some broody AFO, a flirtatious Inko, and some good affection. A wholesome fanfic showing a more affectionate side of AFO if wasn't being paranoid. A one-shot.
Affection of a Child - A semi-sequel to Love of a Saint but this time focused on AFO relationship with Izuku as his son. He's new to being an actual father with no idea what he is doing. So he freaks out over him a lot of things but he is trying. A One-shot.
Between Life and Death - A oneshot made for Dad for One Week. Izuku is a healer but there is death approaching his home and all he can't help but question is... What does this figure of death want?
The Horrors you Birthed - An Eldritch AFO fanfic from Inko's point of view. This has Dead Dove: do not eat content in psychological horror, house horrors, and gas lighting. However, it isn't overly graphic with gore or anything like that. Think of HP Lovecraft kind of horror but more heavy on it. It deals with Inko Midoriya who somehow has a child whose father she doesn't remember. Along with the terrifying things that keep happening around her. With everything making her doubt her own sanity. It is part of a series but is good as a stand-alone content!

Nana’s POV (2 days after the Paranormal Liberation War)
“I said the same thing to Gran Torino as well, but…” the doctor stated to my old man Aizawa. “If you had waited even a moment longer, it would have been even worse. Thanks to Rock Lock, Manual, and the others prioritizing your life you’re here.”
Right now, I was in Aizawa’s cabin with Present Mic with my old man lying down on his hospital bed. After Shigaraki shot the quirk-destroying bullet in his right leg, Aizawa had to cut off his leg on the battlefield in order to prevent the drug from destroying his quirk.
“Thank god, you’re okay…” I sighed as I put my head on Aizawa’s shoulder. “I thought you would’ve died, you old geezer…”
“The world can’t get rid of me that easily, brat…” Aizawa responded, gently patting my head.
“Even Kayama senpai… Why…” Mic trailed off.
“Please don’t say it, Mic…” I mumbled, biting my bottom lip as tears started to form in my eyes. “It’s too much for me, you know… First my parents… then one of my mentors, Sir Nighteye… now my foster mother, Midnight… I just can’t…”
Aizawa quickly pulled me into a hug, burying my face into his chest.
“Don’t say it, Yamada…” Aizawa stated. “Just tell me how the students are doing…”
Mic let out a heavy sigh.
“Well…” Mic trailed off. “Almost every student has either regained consciousness or gotten better after receiving medical attention… well except for Midoriya…”
“What?” Aizawa asked.
“Izuku is the only one who still hasn’t shown any sign of waking up.” I added.
Aizawa’s eyes widened in shock as he looked over at us with a puzzled expression.
“Don’t worry…” I sighed before getting up and walking over to the door. “Toshi-chan is with him now…”
“Where are you going, Nana-chan?” Mic asked.
“To see Shoto.” I responded before closing the door behind me.
I then slowly made my way towards Shoto’s cabin. When I reached there, I slid the door open. I noticed that the people in the room turned to look at me.
“Nana-san.” Yaoyorozu greeted me with a small smile.
“Nana!” Kirishima grinned at me
“Hey, guys.” I greeted them back, walking up to them. “Looks like you finally woke up, Shoto.”
“Yeah…” Shoto replied meekly in a raspy voice.
“His throat is burnt, so…” Mina stated.
“I see…” I nodded my head before taking my seat beside Shoto on the bed. “How’re you doing now, Shoto?”
“How’re you doing, Nana?” Shoto asked.
I stared at him for a moment before letting out a sigh, looking away.
“What do you think, huh Shoto?” I muttered. “Touya was my friend… my fiancé… we were in love with each other… Eleven years ago, we all believed he passed away, but now all of a sudden he came back into our lives… Not as Touya, but as a murderous villain Dabi...”
Suddenly my eyes started to get all blurry. My breath hitched as I wept, tears starting to roll down my cheeks.
“Nana-san!” Yaoyorozu gasped, rushing to my side and pulling me into a hug. “Please calm down!”
“I…I-I’m not okay, Shoto!!” I sobbed out loudly, as Yaoyorozu tightened her grip around me, gently rubbing my back. “I’m not okay, you hear me?! This is not okay! Touya being Dabi is not okay! None of this is okay! I couldn’t save my lover from walking down the path of destruction! I failed to save him! When the League kidnapped me and Katsuki, I speculated that Dabi was Touya, but I wanted to believe that I was wrong! That it was all just a misunderstanding! But, no! It’s a despicable truth and now it hurts, Shoto! Dammit! I love Touya so much, it hurts!!”
Shoto remained completely silent as he stared at me in shock. He looked as if I broke his heart or something.
“Nana…” Mina mumbled sorrowfully.
“That kiss…” Shoji muttered. “It’s all over the news and internet now…”
“Those bloody reporters!” Kirishima growled in anger, clenching his fists. “Has nothing else better to do other than screwing up people’s lives!”
Suddenly the door slid open and we all looked up to see who it was, noticing that it was Fuyumi and Natsuo.
“Shoto…” Fuyumi called out.
“Pleasure to meet you!” Kirishima smiled at her.
“Todoroki’s older brother and sister!” Mina grinned. “His throat is burnt so he is still…”
I sensed someone else was standing there behind the older Todoroki siblings.
“Rei-san, you’re here as well?” I called.
Shoto’s breath hitched and his eyes went wide open.
“M-Mom…” Shoto gasped.
“Shoto.” Rei mumbled softly, stepping inside the room with Fuyumi and Natsuo.
“I think we should give them some space.” I stated, standing up from the bed.
“You’re right, Nana-san.” Yaoyorozu agreed.
I looked over to Rei and smiled at her.
“You guys take your time.” I said. “If you need anything, just call us.”
Rei flashed out a warm smile and wrapped her arms around me, pulling me into a hug.
“You’re an amazing woman, Nana.” Rei commented. “Like Junko-chan and Nemuri-san… Just stay strong dear.”
I smiled again and returned her the hug.
“I will, Rei-san…” I responded.
With that we excused ourselves before walking out the room, giving the space and time the Todoroki family needed to talk to each other.
“Nana, if you don’t mind, can I ask you something?” Mina asked.
“What is it?” I asked.
“Whatever Dabi said in that video, were they all true?” she asked.
I sighed and nodded my head.
“Touya… He always wanted to become a hero… A greater hero than Enji-san and Toshi-chan.” I stated. “Enji-san had this aim to surpass Toshi-chan, but when he realized that he couldn’t do it, he planned on making a perfect weapon to reach his goals. And when I said weapon, I mean creating a perfect child. Touya was his eldest son, so he had high hopes for him as Touya inherited a greater fire quirk than Enji-san himself. However, Touya inherited Rei-san’s genes, meaning he can resist ice, not fire. For that whenever Touya used his flames, his skin got burnt. As a responsible father, Enji-san should’ve helped his son, but instead, he tossed Touya to the side and abandoned him.”
“How cruel.” Yaoyorozu commented.
“Touya worked his ass off to get Enji-san's acknowledgment and respect, but he got nothing.” I continued. “It was clear that Touya needed love and attention, especially from his father… but Enji-san as a father failed to give him that. Eleven years ago, when Touya was thirteen, he got burnt by his own flames at the peak of Sekoto hill and we all assumed that he passed away. But apparently, we were all wrong the entire time.”
“But I don’t get one thing.” Kirishima stated. “Why did Endeavor send a quirk marriage proposal of Dabi and you to your parents years ago? I mean, he engaged himself into a quirk marriage with Rei-san in order to create a prodigy to surpass All Might, but why you and Dabi? It doesn’t make sense.”
“Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing.” Shoji added.
“Honestly, even I don’t know.” I sighed. “I was like 4-5 at that time, so I don’t remember too much. Maybe my parents knew, but I don’t.”
“Did anyone from our class know about your and Touya-san’s past relationship?” Yaoyorozu asked.
“Only Shoto, Katsuki, Izuku, and Iida knew about it.” I replied.
Then suddenly we noticed Shoto and his family come out of his room and make their way toward us.
“Is something wrong, Todoroki?” Kirishima asked Shoto.
“We’re going to meet our father now.” Shoto replied, before looking over at me. “Nana, come with us. We need to talk to him about Touya-Nii.”
“Okay.” I nodded my head as I looked at my friends. “I’ll see you guys later.”
“Okay!” Mina grinned.
“See you, Nana-san.” Yaoyorozu smiled.
I bade my farewell to my friends before I headed off to visit Endeavor with the Todoroki family. When we reached our destination, Shoto opened up the door. I looked inside and noticed Endeavor bawling his eyes out. Seeing him crying, Shoto quickly shut the door close.
“He is crying…!” Shoto stated.
“Shotoooo!!” Endeavor yelled out, demanding him to come inside.
Shoto again opened the door and we all walked in.
“Dad… how convenient!” Fuyumi smiled. “We all just got here!”
“Are you guys unharmed?” Endeavor sniffled.
“Why are you crying?” Natsuo frowned at his father.
“Sorry… I’m truly sorry…” Endeavor wailed. “Sorry… it's too late… the regret and guilt for my crimes… it's weighing on me now! Now my heart is…”
“Your heart is what?” Rei asked, stepping inside the room. “Regrets, guilt…. everybody is carrying those feelings much more than you…”
“Rei, why are you here?!” Endeavor gasped.
“I came to talk about our family… and about Touya…” Rei responded.
“Rei… Are you okay?” Endeavor asked, worriedly.
“Okay?” Rei repeated. “No, I’m not. That’s why I’m here… You don’t get to claim you’re hurting more than anyone and you are now not the only one who refused to look at that child, Enji…”
“Enji-san.” I called, making everyone look at me as my burning gaze met the turquoise eyes of the Todoroki patriarch. “I want to know exactly what happened to Touya eleven years ago. I deserve an answer from you. I was 4 or 5 years old back then, so my memories are all hazy. And besides, you’re the one who got me involved in Touya’s life and the Todoroki family in the first place. So, don’t you dare call me an outsider and push me to the side cause I’ve all the right to ask you anything regarding Touya. I demand an answer, Enji Todoroki. What did you do to my Touya?”
Endeavor let out a heavy sigh and looked down at his lap.

Flashback
Years ago, a young Enji Todoroki met with Rei's family, the Himura Family, for the very first time. Rei’s family members expressed great joy and honor in being reached out to by the man who was said to be the next No. 1 hero. The person explained that the Himura Family was also considered a prestigious family, so it was only fitting that a man of his accomplishments would take a Himura woman as a wife.
Enji thought that even though Rei knew this marriage was a quirk marriage, she still agreed to it for her family's sake. As the two were getting to know each other, Enji learned that Rei had a liking for a certain blue flower. He described her as a woman much like ice herself, but she seemed so strong despite possibly melting away at the slightest touch.
Enji and Rei’s first son Touya Todoroki was born with a fire quirk that was even more powerful than Enji's Hellflame quirk. When Touya was five years old, Enji started to notice that a bit of Touya’s red hair was starting to turn white, but little Touya always laughed it off as nothing important while enthusiastically looking forward to learning his father’s ultimate move, which made Endeavor proud and happy.
Enji thought that while Touya didn't harbor his mother's ice quirk, his firepower was far stronger than his own. Despite not having the ability to overcome the downside of overheating, he still planned on raising Touya to be a hero. He still sought a child with Half-Cold Half-Hot and Rei wanted more children, believing they could encourage each other, which ultimately led to Fuyumi's birth. Sadly, she only inherited Rei's ice quirk and not his fire, but Enji was still happy either way because he felt that since Touya had more potential, he could place all his ambitions on him.
Even when his skin started to burn, Endeavor felt Touya could reach his eternal goal and that all of the darkness he bore inside his heart could have been destroyed by his son.
But then, unfortunately, it all started to change.
“I have been waiting for ages for you to have a day off so we could train together!!” a five-year-old Touya yelled stubbornly at his father. “You got a day off today, right? So you got to do quick training with me! Why are you saying you can't do it now?! Why would you change your mind all of a sudden, huh?!”
“I have told you several times already…” Enji sighed as he was getting ready to go to work. “I’m doing this for your own good…”
Touya simply glared at his father with displeasure while Enji looked away from his son as he didn’t know what to say to him.
“Quite the peculiar case…” a doctor stated to Enji and Rei, looking at the reports in his hands. “In regards to his quirk, your son has inherited your fire however his body is dominated by his mother's gene. To be precise he has developed a body that has an aptitude for the cold rather than a tolerance to fire. Well, this method of designing children… it's a taboo in this generation of quirks… So, I can’t advise it… It's better you quit now, Todororki-san…”
Enji looked down at his lap with a frown as his own words started to ring in his ears.
‘Touya, if it’s you… you can surpass All Might…’
And it only deepened his frown, still feeling that Touya could surpass All Might, whom he desperately wanted to catch up to.
~~~~~
“Fuyumi-chan…” Touya stated as he and his sister who was a year younger than him watched the news about All Might on TV. “So what if I get burned a bit, I can handle it! I am the one who understands my body best…”
“But I don’t like when you get hurt either, Touya-Nii…” a four-year-old Fuyumi responded worriedly while munching her snacks.
This made Touya throw a dirty glare at his sister before hopping down from the couch and walking away.
“What do you know anyway?!” Touya yelled. “Girls just don't understand!!”
“But I’m worried!!” Fuyumi responded.
“I already got it in my head that I got to surpass All Might!!” Touya stated in a firm tone with determination. “Dad is the one who ignited that fire under me!!”
~~~~~
“But that’s too much!” Rei cried out. “It's just cruel! Especially now that Touya knows what you are hoping to achieve through the children!”
“No matter how much I tried telling him… he shows up with new burns every day.” Enji responded as he sat in front of the TV, watching the news about All Might saving 62 towns in a single day. “He has inherited my foolishness as well… If we want him to give it up, then we have no choice… Since he will never be the one to surpass… Touya can’t surpass All Might…”
Rei simply stood there in front of her husband with absolute shock and horror after hearing those despicable words which came from him while noticing a dark furious look on his face.
This ultimately led to Natsuo's conception, which made Touya start falling into more despair because he clearly understood that he was rejected, and was considered a failure in his father’s eyes while Enji's desire and aggression to surpass All Might continued to grow even more day by day. Eventually, Shoto, Enji’s perfect masterpiece, was born three years later after Natsuo’s birth, but an eight-year-old Touya refused to accept that his youngest brother would be the one to surpass All Might, not him. So, he continued to train in a forest with his fire, telling himself that his father had to look at him because of how powerful his flames already were.
“No dad…” little Touya mumbled to himself, panting while training hard to improve his flames at the peak of Sekoto hill. “I can do it too! I can surpass All Might! See look how strong my flames are already… Look at me…!!”
But things got even worse when Touya reached home that evening.
“Stop it!” Enji scolded Touya, holding his shoulders. “Why don’t you understand?! You're getting this burnt and you still don't realize?! Touya, you need to look elsewhere! Look beyond all this! Play with your siblings! Make friends in school! There is a whole other world besides the hero stuff… I know you understand that! Eventually, you'll forget all about it and this will be a distant memory soon.”
“B-But everyone at school says they are going to be heroes.” Touya responded, tears rolling down his cheeks while his whole body was trembling. “I can’t understand that... Because I have got you for a father…”
“We have to cool him down!” Rei cried out in worry.
“You lit this fire in me, Dad and it’s not going out!” Touya added as flames started to unleash from different parts of his body while he glared up at his father with hatred. “I just can't get it out of my head! I can’t just pretend it’s not there! Look at me, Endeavor! Look at me!!”
And with that, little Touya quickly turned around to launch an attack on his newborn baby brother, Shoto Todoroki who was being carried into his mother’s arms. A seven-year-old Fuyumi quickly pushed a three-year-old Natsuo out of the way, while Rei screamed out to Enji to stop Touya. And before any serious damage could occur, Enji quickly stepped in and held Touya back.
Later that night, when everything went back to somewhat normal, Enji went to his bedroom to talk to Rei.
“After the incident, Shoto's siblings are banned from interacting with him.” Enji ordered Rei who was sitting beside a sleeping Shoto. “I have to work, so I can’t keep looking after him, which is why I have hired someone else… Keep your eye on Touya…”
“Touya just wants you to look at him, to notice him…” Rei responded in a vacant tone, feeling completely dead inside after what happened a few hours ago. “He just wants your acknowledgment. That’s all.”
“I can’t show him anything but the world of a hero…” Enji commented with a sigh before he started to walk away.
“Hero?” Rei mocked as she looked up at her husband with a glare, her voice was filled with resentment and disappointment. “Some hero you are… running away…”
But Enji simply stood there with no words coming out of his mouth as he glared back at his wife.
~~~~~
Four years had passed since that incident. Now Touya was twelve, Fuyumi was eleven, Natsuo was seven and Shoto was four. That year, Enji’s high school friends, Daisuke Osaki and Junko Saotome sent invitations to him and some of their friends for a party which was held at the Osaki mansion. And that was the first time Enji got the opportunity to meet Daisuke and Junko’s only child and daughter, Nana Osaki. Nana was the as same age as Shoto, meaning she was eight years younger than Touya.
"Your daughter is so polite and well-mannered, Daisuke. I heard she has got your quirk." Enji stated as he looked over to the four years old Nana in front of him.
"Thanks, Enji. And yeah, she has got Ghoul quirk like me.” Daisuke chuckled, patting his daughter’s head.
"I see… Well, I also brought two of my kids with me. Let me introduce them to you all. Kids! Come here!" Endeavor called out, as Touya and Fuyumi walked in and stood by his side. "This is Touya, my eldest son. And this is Fuyumi, my second child and my only daughter.”
“Nana.” Daisuke smiled down at his daughter. “Go and play with Touya and Fuyumi, okay?”
“Okay!” Nana giggled before she skipped toward the older kids.
Enji and Daisuke went inside the house while the three kids stayed back in the garden of the Osaki household. Touya and Fuyumi also walked toward Nana with a smile.
"Hello! My name is Touya. And this is my sister, Fuyumi. What's your name?" Touya smiled at the little girl.
"My name is Nana, Nana Osaki..." Nana grinned at him. “Hey, can you show me your quirk, Touya-kun?”
“H-Huh?” Touya stuttered, taken back by her sudden question.
“I want to see what your quirk is! I heard it’s really cool!” Nana said with a smile.
He bit his bottom lip as he didn’t know what to do. But for some reason, the way Nana was looking at him made it impossible for him to say no to her. He rolled up his sleeves before igniting his palm, making Nana’s eyes widen in amazement.
“The color of your fire is bluish! It’s so pretty! I wish I had a pretty quirk like you…" she beamed, staring deeply into the captivating red-bluish flames the boy held in his hand.
That comment caught Touya completely off guard.
Pretty wasn’t the exact word to describe his quirk as this quirk of his was slowly destroying him, bit by bit.
"Uh, thanks, I guess." he said dumbly, slightly blushing.
“Is that a blush I see, Touya-Nii?” Fuyumi smirked at her older brother.
“Shut up, Fuyumi.” Touya grumbled, throwing a dirty glare at his sister.
"I bet you're gonna become a pro someday, Touya-kun." Nana beamed.
And with that, Touya became a blushing mess as if his whole body was on fire. When his own father rejected him, tossed him to the side, and considered him a failure, this four-year-old little girl who he just met told him those exact words he wanted to hear from his father for so long; that he had the potential of becoming a pro hero.
Touya Todoroki still had hope.
~~~~~
A year had passed since Nana and Touya first met. And as time went by Nana and Touya grew super close and also started spending more time with each other. Now Nana was only five while Touya was thirteen years old. And that was the time when Enji sent a quirk marriage proposal of the two kids to Daisuke and Junko.
“I can’t believe this, Enji.” Daisuke glared at the No. 2 hero. “Is this why you called me to meet you all the way to your agency?! Seriously?! A quirk marriage?!”
“Daisuke, calm down.” Enji sighed. “Please listen to me… I’m doing this for Touya.”
“For Touya?” Daisuke raised an eyebrow before realization hit him and he flashed a mocking smirk at his friend. “Oh, I get it now… Now I get it why you were so interested to know what my daughter’s quirk was when you first met her and looked really happy when I said that she got my quirk…”
“Daisuke-“
“You’re after my daughter’s Ghoul quirk, aren’t you?” Daisuke glared at Enji. “Ghoul quirk has an extremely powerful regenerative and healing ability. As Touya’s own quirk hurts him, so you want your son and Nana to have a child in the future in order to fulfill your dream.”
“Not my dream, Daisuke… It’s Touya’s dream.” Enji responded. “He always wanted to become a hero, but as his own quirk burns him, I’m just trying to figure out a way to fulfill his passion and dream.”
“By turning him into a monster and toxic human being like you?!” Daisuke yelled, shooting up from his seat.
“Daisuke, tune down your voice!” Enji yelled back. “Or else-“
“Or else what, huh?!” Daisuke mocked. “You’ve really turned into a shitty person, you know that Enji!! At first, in order to surpass Toshinori, you married Rei and had kids and then used those kids of yours as weapons! To you, only Shoto is important while Touya and the others are just a waste of space! You showed Touya the dreams of surpassing Toshinori and then stripped it away from the poor child! Now you’re trying to fill his head with those same disgusting toxic thoughts and goals of yours! Are you crazy, Enji?! And I’m not a petty person like you! Nana’s my only child and her happiness means everything to me! Besides, I’ve my own dignity and pride! Do you really think I, the Daisuke Osaki, will sell away my only loving daughter to you like how the Himuras sold off Rei to you years ago, huh?!”
“Daisuke!!” Enji roared out.
“What?! Did I hit the nerve?!” Daisuke smirked. “Good! Cause what I said just now is all true and you know it, Enji!!”
With that Todoroki male went silent and hung his head in shame. Daisuke let out a sigh, running a hand through his raven locks.
“I personally don’t have anything against you and Touya, Enji.” Daisuke stated in a calming tone. “Moreover, I like your kid. Touya is a really good boy with limitless talent and potential. I won’t mind if Touya and Nana date each other in the future. Rather I would be really happy and glad if they do. Touya’s simply just unlucky to have someone like you as a father. People have kids cause they want to, whereas you had them to fulfill your stupid dream. You know Enji, you don’t know what is meant to be a father… how to be a father. If you did, you won’t have tried to handle Touya’s situation like this. You already have four kids, but you’ve no sense of responsibility of an ideal father. I mean who treats their kids like this. I pity your children, you know. It really sucks for them to have you as a parent... Mend your ways, Enji... before it's too late...”
Daisuke turned around and started to walk away.
“I’ll accept the proposal, Enji.” Daisuke continued, making Enji look up at him with surprise. “If and only if Touya and Nana ever want this… If they ever fall in love… if they ever want to start a family of their own purely based on their love… then and only then I’ll accept your proposal… Not to fulfill you and your son’s dreams, but for the sake of Nana and Touya’s happiness…”
Daisuke stopped in front of the door and turned to look back at Enji one last time with a harsh glare.
“Next time you bring up the proposal… I expect it to be a simple marriage proposal… not a quirk marriage proposal, Enji Todoroki…” Daisuke stated in a dark tone.
And with that Daisuke Osaki walked out of the room before slamming the door shut behind him.
But that next time never came because three months later, Daisuke Osaki and Junko Saotome were killed in a villain’s attack at I-Island where they went to attend an important conference held by scientists from all over the world that year.
~~~~~
“Hey Touya-Nii, let’s play!” a twelve-year-old Fuyumi called out with a ball in her hands.
“Yeah, let’s go, Touya-Nii!” an eight-year Natsuo called as well.
Touya looked up from his computer screen and gazed at his younger siblings.
“Oh, okay.” Touya replied.
While Touya, Natsuo, and Fuyumi played soccer in the backyard, a five-year-old Shoto simply watched his older siblings from the balcony with a sorrowful look, wishing to be able to play with them. Enji suddenly came in and pulled Shoto away from there.
“Don’t look at them, Shoto.” Enji stated. “You live in a different world from them.”
“Just once okay?” Shoto cried out. “I want to play with them just once! Please!”
“No. it's time to train your output capacity.” Enji responded coldly.
As Enji and Shoto passed by, Touya simply looked up from the yard with a glare, eyes filled with nothing but jealousy. Later that night, when Touya and Natsuo went to bed, the older Todoroki brother started to vent to his younger brother about Enji.
“I mean that one time was my fault! Little Shoto did not do anything wrong…” Touya stated. “But Dad is to blame too! He doesn't even look at us! We are failures to him. We are his failed creations. Is that what modern heroes are all about? Making all these kids they don't even need? Deciding their sons are useless and ditching them?”
A sleepy Natsuo turned to look at his older brother with a bit of annoyance.
“Why can’t you rant to Nee-chan about this stuff once in a while?” Natsuo mumbled drowsily. “Or rant to that girlfriend of yours? What’s her name again? Kana… or Hana something?”
Touya gasped, shocked to hear those words coming from his brother's mouth.
“Are you going to ignore me too, Natsu-kun?!” Touya cried, tears rolling down his cheeks, bruised by his brother’s words. “You’re telling me to buzz off too?! Even you, Natsu-kun?! Don't do this to me! I’m talking to you because only you can understand me besides Nana-chan!! You know that the girls in this household can't understand!!”
But Natsuo didn’t reply back as he fell fast asleep again.
~~~~~
“Wait, you’re trying on going to the hill again?!” Rei asked, trying to stop Touya from walking out of the house. “Why don't you play with your friends?!”
“I don’t need any friends!” Touya responded. “We are in different worlds!”
“Touya, do you even want to be a hero?” Rei asked softly. “As your mother, it looks to me like you are suffocating because of who your father is and you are suffering for it… So obsessed with the father… Touya, the world is such a large place and you can do anything. Look at everything else around you, not just your father! Find the person you really want to be in this world.”
“What the hell do you know, Mom?!” Touya glared at Rei. “Where did you get that tidbit? Some self-help book?! You think Dad is the only person that got me going?! Your family was poor so they sold you away. You had no choice and you had no say in the matter. Isn’t that why I was born in the first place?! You have a part in this too… you are guilty too, Mom!!”
Rei was taken aback by her son’s words.
“T-Touya-“
“And don’t think I don’t know what Dad wants from Nana-chan as well!” Touya added. “I know for what and why Dad used to pester Uncle Daisuke all the time. Just let you know… I’m not like Dad! I’ll never marry Nana-chan and have babies with her to fulfill my dreams like how Dad is doing! This is my dream and I’ll try to accomplish it with my own capability! I’ll never use Nana-chan and destroy her life how Dad is destroying ours! I love Nana-chan too much to do such sort of things to her!”
Touya then turned around and quickly walked out of the house. He made his way to the Sekoto hill where he began his secret training session. For the past few months, thirteen years old Touya’s small body started to noticeably grow and develop and that was when his fire changed color from red to blue.
“So that’s it!” Touya said happily, looking around at his own blue flames. “It's because of my body's composition! The fire is directly connected to my intense emotions! I’m pretty awesome if I do say so myself. If I can do this then dad will definitely be surprised too!”
Then he noticed that tears started to roll down his cheeks.
“But dang…” Touya chuckled. “When I get all excited… for some reason I end up crying…”
After his training was over, he quickly made his way to meet Nana at the neighborhood park.
“Does it hurt now?” she asked in a soft voice after she finished giving him medical attention.
“Not anymore.” Touya muttered in response. “Thank you, Nana-chan.”
“You should stop this, Touya-kun.” Nana frowned, her bottom lip quivered. “You’re simply hurting yourself.”
“No, I can’t, Nana-chan.” Touya shook his head, determination on his face. “I’ve to show my old man that I’m capable of becoming a hero.”
“But you’re pushing yourself too hard, Touya-kun!” Nana exclaimed as tears started to roll down her cheeks. “Can’t you see?! It’ll kill you one day! I don’t get it! Why is Enji-san being like this?! It’s literally abuse! So much so, that your physical appearance has started to change!”
Touya’s eye widened at Nana’s sudden outburst and he quickly wrapped his arms around her small frame, holding her close.
“I’m scared, Touya-kun.” Nana sniffled, burying her face into his chest. “I’m scared that one day I’ll lose you, like how I lost my parents.”
Touya’s turquoise eyes softened as he looked at her. He gently buried his face into her raven locks as he tightened his grip around her.
“You wouldn’t lose me, Nana-chan.” He mumbled softly.
“Touya-kun…” Nana whispered as she rested her face on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
Nana and Touya often had their moments where they would simply just hold each other closely in their arms and kiss their foreheads or their cheeks. Most kids both of their ages believed that girls were annoying and boys were gross, but Touya and Nana never cared about those rumors. They were quite different from everyone else.
"How was the school for you, Touya-kun?" Nana asked.
She looked at him gently as her eyes softened while she felt more relaxed. Touya averted his eyes.
"It was fine I guess..." Touya replied, melancholy filling in his tone. "But coming back home wasn't any better..."
The tone of his voice was filled with melancholy and venom as he looked down at his arms and narrowed his eyes. As time went on, Touya’s life was becoming a living hell as he kept on trying to get his father’s attention, but failed miserably every single time. Sometimes he felt like he would go completely insane whenever he was in his own home around with his own family members. To him, his home was hell. But those feelings immediately disappeared once he came to visit Nana. Nana was Touya's savior, his sanity. And even if she couldn't save him from his awful life, she was the light of his life, literally.
Nana nodded her head as she looked at him, not wanting to pressure him to talk about it anymore. His eyes softened as he looked at her with a gentle smile while throwing his negative emotions out of the window.
"But, I'm here with you now!” he grinned. “And my day is a million times better!”
Nana’s beamed up in joy as she smiled brightly at him while her eyes softened even more. And this look of Nana was absolutely breathtaking in Touya’s opinion.
"I'm glad that I can make you feel better, Touya-kun!" she giggled, hugging him once again.
Later that night, Touya happily went to his father with a bright grin on his face.
“Dad, during the holiday break coming up… come to the Sekoto hill!” Touya stated.
Enji narrowed his eyes at his son before he grabbed him and pulled up his shirt to find bandages wrapped around his new burnt chest.
“Damn it, again?!” Enji growled. “You're still!!”
“No, wait!” Touya quickly spoke up, interrupting his father. “What I can do now is really cool! You have to come and see! I think Shoto has got some serious competition! I might be as awesome as Shoto sooner or later! But I’m not sure if it’s enough against All Might yet though! Maybe I will eventually become better than All Might someday if I work harder! It’s something you have to see, Dad!”
Tears rolled down Touya’s cheeks uncontrollably as he started to pull his white hair.
“Then you will give me some respect, Dad!!” he cried. “You will be glad you created me! I just know it! You will realize I wasn’t a mistake!!”
Enji didn’t respond to his son as he stomped off to his room and when he went reached there, he started to show his aggression to his wife.
“Why didn’t you stop him Rei!!” Enji roared in fury. “You were supposed to watch over him!! Dammit!! That’s all I asked you to do!!”
“Don’t bully mommy!” five-year-old Shoto cried, trying to protect his mother. “Stop it! Don't be mean to her!!”
“Get out, Shoto!” Enji yelled, pushing his youngest son away. “It's none of your business!!”
Rei looked up to her husband with tearful frightened eyes.
“I can’t stop him…” she responded back meekly in a shaky voice and upon hearing that, Enji snapped even more before he grabbed Rei by the collar of her shirt and started to yell in her face.
"You'd better! I ain't keeping an eye on him!" he roared out again, showing more of his violent side towards her.
~~~~~
For Touya, the night was always dark, cold, and claustrophobic where demons howled in his head while begging for him; demons who didn’t want him to get a peaceful sleep.
For that he often had nightmares. To him, a nightmare was a horse that would carry him home after he had explored the dark. They were the demons of dreams, came to educate him if he was brave enough to look into these dark recesses of the brain. So there were countless times when he would spend such sleepless nights.
And on those nights he would always find himself running away from his home and his feet always took him to only one place and that one being the Osaki household where he would sit on the rooftop with Nana and watch the moon shower its platinum-gold beam onto the Musutafu City. Unlike hell, the place he called home, Touya felt like a free bird whenever he came over to the Osaki household especially to meet and spend time with Nana.
"Can’t sleep again, huh Touya-kun?" Nana asked as she took a seat beside him on the rooftop of her household.
“Yeah…” He responded softly.
"Well that makes the two of us, I guess." She giggled.
"Dad is coming over to the Sekoto hill today." he stated.
"You're gonna show him your new blue flames right?" Nana beamed. "I bet he's gonna be so happy and proud!"
"I hope so." Touya chuckled in response.
Touya smiled at her before looking back at the moon in the sky. In the monochrome musings, the moon was a deep silver ballerina, turning pirouettes with perfect form. The moon also looked like the mother of the sky who watched over every beating heart, steady and true. At that moment Touya found the moon really beautiful and maybe it was because of Nana. Whenever Nana was around him, he found everything beautiful, everything positive.
The night didn’t feel like forever anymore now that Touya was with Nana. They talked and laughed as if there was no tomorrow. Time passed on and now the sun slowly started to rise from its slumber.
“Hey, Touya-kun, let’s go to the park right now.” Nana spoke up.
“Right now?” he raised an eyebrow.
Nana smiled and nodded her head before standing up and reaching out her hand to him. Touya without any hesitation grabbed her hand and Nana activated her Gravity Manipulation quirk to alter their gravities and they both flew up in the air before heading to their destination.
As they walked together in the park while holding hands, Touya realized that he had known Nana for almost more than a year now and whenever they were together Touya felt as if he was in a different world, a world full of sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns. He felt alive and happy. But sometimes he felt that his happiness might not live long, that one day the world would crash and go against them.
"What's wrong?" Nana asked.
Touya looked down at her innocent cute face and gently smiled at her. Right now just seeing her face was enough for him. Nothing mattered to him as long as she was there beside him, alive and healthy.
“I was wondering if we can still share these exact same moments if we meet in another lifetime or dimension…” Touya responded softly.
Nana blinked at him in confusion before letting out a giggle.
“You’re so silly, Touya-kun!” Nana said as she pulled his arms. “Come on! Let’s race over there!”
As they ran while holding onto each other’s hands, Touya again felt as if his whole body was on fire. The power of Nana’s flames had to be really powerful and strong for making him feel this way every single time. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach and trickled through his veins when Nana’s soft giggles reached into his ears. Touya was hopelessly in love with Nana and this love was inevitable.
“Nana-chan.” Touya called out as the said girl looked up at him. “I’ve something to tell you.”
“What is it, Touya-kun?” she asked, tilting her head a bit.
Touya took a deep breath and looked deeply into her eyes.
“Nana-chan... I love you.” he confessed.
“Huh?” she mumbled as her eyes went wide in surprise.
After hearing his confession, Nana’s face went completely red; so red that it could put a tomato to shame.
“I’m in love with you, Nana Osaki.” Touya repeated. “You may not understand what it means to be in love with someone because you're still too young. But always remember… I love you and I always will love you, Nana-chan...”
Nana softened her gaze and smiled softly at the Todoroki boy as she slowly reached out and held his bigger hands in her smaller ones.
“I love you too, Touya-kun...”
Later that day, Touya quickly went to the peak of the Sekoto hill and waited for his father’s arrival. He waited, waited, and waited, but his father never showed up. And this hurt Touya like hell; completely broke his heart into millions of pieces.
“He didn’t show up!” Touya wailed, bawling his eyes out uncontrollably while rubbing his eyes with the sleeves of his shirt. “Quit crying already! Stupid tears… Dammit… Dad…”
Then suddenly Touya realized that his body started to heat up and his own blue flames then unleashed from different parts of his body which suddenly went out of control.
“What?!” Touya cried out, panicking in shock and horror as he didn’t know what to do. “It's hot!! They won’t stop!! My flames!!!”
Touya started to scream out in pain and agony, desperately trying to search for help, but there was no one else with him at that moment. He was completely alone. Touya even tried to control his own flames but failed because the only thing that Enji ever taught him was how to turn up the heat. This then led to Touya’s slowly engulfing the entirety of himself and the mountains in flames and when Enji did finally reach there to save his son, he found nothing but ashes everywhere only.
“And then you didn’t go…” Rei mumbled.
“It would have just fanned the flames…” Enji responded. “No, that's not it… the truth is I had no idea what to say to him… I didn’t know how to talk to him…”
“Neither did I…” Rei added.
“After everything… after killing Touya… I couldn’t let myself take a step back and all I could do was obsess over Shoto… At the expense of everything else…” Enji continued.
"Eventually, I couldn’t stand the sight of you and it got so bad that I even started seeing hints of you in the children’s faces. After my incident with Shoto, I was put in isolation at the facility. And then... When I heard how Touya met his end, my heart shattered, my mind snapped..." Rei stated.
“I know our family was broken but I was too scared to interfere… all I could do was to try to fix things just to keep up appearances. I was all talk and nothing else.” Fuyumi spoke up.
“It was you who started all of this.” Natsuo stated. “You are the root cause but… Maybe if I had just slugged you in the face and made you have a few serious talks with Touya-Nii… Or maybe if I had just made myself face Touya-Nii instead and knocked some sense into him… maybe Dabi wouldn't have been born. He could have even treated Shoto to some cold soba…”
“The responsibility for this doesn’t just fall onto you… this issue is all of ours to bear.” Rei stated firmly. “Even if our hearts are scattered, we will get up and stand tall. You have no choice but to fight Dabi.”
“Are you really, Rei?” Enji asked in shock. “Are you really the woman I married?”
“One of our children… one who has suffered much more than us… despite having every right to resent me he has started calling me mom again.” Rei continued, looking over to Shoto. “He has been making friends at UA and now he is the one saving us. Shoto is our family’s hero…”
Shoto coughed a bit before speaking up.
“It’s all because of Nana.” Shoto muttered. “She was the one who saved me from walking down the path of darkness. She was the one who told me to reconnect with Mom again. It’s all thanks to her. And she’s the only one who can bring Touya-Nii back. Maybe we all can stop him, but if anyone can actually bring him back, then that’s Nana. Cause back on the battlefield, Touya-Nii clearly showcased through his actions that the only person he still loves and cares about is Nana.”
Shoto then turned to look at me.
“We need your help, Nana.” Shoto stated. “Only you can bring him back to our family.”
“You don’t need to say that, Shoto.” I responded with a small frown. “I would still go after Touya even if you tell me not to. Touya is important to me, as much as he’s important to you all. I love him dearly and I can’t take the chance of letting him go again… even if it means sacrificing my own life.”
I then looked at Enji-san and frowned at him.
“You messed up, old man. Big time.” I stated in a firm tone. “You know a part of me hates you and will never forgive you for what you did to Touya. You were really a shitty dude and an extremely horrible father back then. Tossing Touya away to the side and considering him as a failure or more specifically your 'failed creation' or 'failed experiment', when he clearly needed your love, care, support, attention, respect, and acknowledgment was a super shitty and terrible move as a father, Enji-san. Maybe you didn’t torture Touya physically as you did to Shoto, but you mentally and emotionally abused him. And abuse is abuse; it doesn't matter if it's physical, mental, or emotional. There isn't one that's worse than the other. Just because you didn't hit Touya physically, doesn't mean you weren't abusive. You were still an abusive father and Touya was mentally and emotionally abused by you. People have kids cause they want to have kids, cause they want to start a family of their own. Whereas, you weren't having kids, to begin with. You were creating a perfect 'weapon' to surpass Toshi-chan. And Touya was a smart child. He knew that from the very beginning. Even as a kid, he knew what was going on around him... but still after all that, he just wanted to impress you... wanted to make you feel proud... wanted your love and attention. He was even willing to destroy himself if that's what it takes to get your acknowledgment. But you simply rejected him, tossed him away like trash, and then completely ignored him. Because to you, Touya was a 'failed product', a waste of space. And not just only Touya, but also Natsuo-san and Fuyumi-san were considered 'failed creations' in your eyes. To you, Shoto was everything as he was the one to surpass Toshi-chan and for that, you gave all your time and energy to your youngest child while you simply ignored the older ones. That's not how a responsible father should act, old man. Besides, you can't just fill a kid's head with all these big dreams of becoming a great hero and then abandon him. Touya believed that this was his destiny, his birthright, his reason for living, and then you take it away from him just like that? Even if you wanted what's best for Touya, you went about it all wrong. You don't just give your kid a dream and then take it away from him and expect him to move on. You and Rei-san didn't even try to help him move on from his ambition to become a hero. You both just discarded him, expecting him to just accept his fate and move on. Touya clearly needed support, love, and understanding but got none of that. He obsessed over what was promised to him, the expectations placed on him by society, and his father's approval. I'm not saying that it justifies Touya's choices of actions in recent times, but he's still the victim here. He might be a monster, but you all turned him into that monster. And you're saying that you didn't go to the Sekoto peak even when Touya asked you so many times, cause you didn't know what to say to him. Well, let me tell you one thing, old man... You still should have gone there for your son cause that's what responsible fathers do. As a father you failed miserably to raise your kid properly, but if you really want to fix your past mistakes… if you really want to redeem yourself… then stop crying like a little pussy, you old man… Get your ass out there, save your son and bring him back…”
Shoto stared at me for a moment before looking away.
“I see... Nana’s right…” Shoto sighed, before looking back at his father, reaching out his hand to him. “Before coming here, I talked to Mom. I didn’t think you would be able to fight anymore and that I would have to do it myself… but that doesn't seem to be the case… when you're done crying, get up and we’ll all go stop Touya-Nii together and bring him back home…”
