Today on #WorldHealthDay we stand in solidarity with the millions of people around the world who are advocating for equal access to #healthcare as a basic human right.
Every health system must provide quality health services—including sexual and reproductive health care—that reach every person.
Join the global call of #HealthForAll so that we can uphold the right of all people to reach the highest possible standard of health
An illustration with a deep purple background. There is a diverse group of people of different ages, races and ethnicities, all gathered together. In the back left corner is someone holding a Progress Pride Flag. On the right hand side of the card is a woman wearing a purple hijab and a shirt that reads ‘Health for all’. In the center is a woman holding a large placard that reads ‘equal access to health care is a human right.’ On the left hand side is a young boy with his fist in the air wearing a shirt that reads ‘proud feminist’. On the right-hand side is a pregnant woman, with her right hand on her belly.

International Safe Abortion Day (ISAD) Is Today !
28 September is the annual day of action in support of the right to safe abortion. It has been celebrated since 1990 in Latin America, and since 2011 around the world.
Why does International Safe Abortion Day matter?
Because unsafe abortion is the 3rd leading cause of maternal deaths, deaths that are entirely preventable.
It's simple. Safe abortion saves lives.

my professor just described debt as getting what you want now even though you can't afford it and it is not an absolute need, and my dearest bitch, i did not want five thousand dollars in medical debt, but my organs were shutting down so i didn't really have any other choice other than taking the debt

You'd think the people who are so apoplectic over the idea of self-diagnosing...
...would actually advocate for changes to health care that would make getting official diagnoses easier. But you can't self-righteously flex on children if you do that, so...guess that shows where their concerns really lie.

This is an experiment to help busy myself. I honestly haven't a clue for a theme, embrace the chaos.
About me; I am bi, someone who supposedly has multiple mental illnesses but I'll discuss this in time, and an addict, again I'm sure I will get more in detail with this. I'm the single mother of a really cool autistic and adhd teenager. Does any of this define me? No. I don't really care for labels, and putting myself into boxes. At one point I did and it helped "comfort my identity ". Then I saw it was not healthy and I was going backwards. One thing I am good at is adapting, and I am working on growing in a different way. I don't care what anyone else does or believes, if it's different from my beliefs that's fine. I only ask that you do not start shit, because I will never judge people. And you will be introduced to the block button.
This blog supports Palestine 🇵🇸. I support all religions but do not practice. I support all genders and sexualities, this is a LGBTQIA+ safe space. This is a safe space for all nationalities and ethnicities. I also stand in solidarity with all victims of oppression and genocide worldwide. I support prison abolition, and am antipsych. I'm pro choice and believe housing and health care are basic human rights. I still support anyone living with a mental illness or disability (this is neurodivergent safe).
If you believe in narcissistic abuse and that everyone you dislike is a narcissist, kindly go to another blog. Additionally if you demonize cluster b disorders, anyone who is neurodivergent or has a mental illness or addicts, this is not the place for you. Zionists, terfs, radfems, pro lifers , DNI. I'm sure that list will grow.
Happy new year?

Washington and Minnesota: Allies
Washington and Minnesota have both established themselves as shield states for patients seeking reproductive or gender-affirming care, with simultaneous laws signed in April. Since the conservative Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last year, threatening literally every aspect of medical privacy and exposing it to state or federal legislation, over a dozen states have banned abortion and as…

To everyone asking why you tag Palestine posts as feminism, let's talk about:
The 300% increase in miscarriages in Gaza
https://jezebel.com/miscarriages-in-gaza-have-increased-300-under-israeli-1851168680
Girls having to use tent scraps in place of period products

The NYT trying to frame female IOF playing murderers as girl power

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Two of these articles are from today, the other is a couple days old.

I cannot emphasize enough how we need to keep talking about why this IS a feminist issue in so many ways -and I appreciate this -thank you for sending me this. I have spoken about this a lot on my page, and whenever anyone asks me I link them to some of the posts I have made or make direct references to these issues and more. It's definitely the tip of the iceberg, absolutely. What is happening to Palestinian people -and disproportionately Palestinian women and children is beyond horrendous. I also have yet to hear anything from all the major organizations I emailed about the lack of period care in Gaza. It's deplorable.
Here are some of the posts I made previously on this, with links to organizations that people can connect with to demand better access to period care for those who need it in Gaza, and also one of the organizations supporting right now:

I've been seeing a lot of "delete your periode tracking apps" coming up due to the recent life-ending, gut-wrenching news BUT
There IS an option. Clue is a German based tracking app and the US and NO JURISDICTION over them, which means they that can PROTECT YOUR DATA.
As someone with a shitty fucking uterus who had to spit out 500 bucks under my Canadian health care system for birth control that would finally allow me to live WITHOUT debilitating pain I know how fucking important it is to TRACK THAT SHIT.
Keep a book!! Use apps like clue that aren't based in the US!! Pen and fucking paper I don't CARE but please, uterus owners-
Birth control and the right to an abortion are basic fucking human rights and I know you are so EXHAUSTED and TERRIFIED, I am too. But please, please, please remember to take care of yourself. In all of the ways. It sucks that you have to do this but you have to adapt, you have to stay so fucking vigilant, you have to protect yourself and take care of your mind and body.
Please DO NOT neglect yourself out of fear and hopelessness because your government is neglecting you. Protect yourself, protect your body. And DO NOT STOP FIGHTING.

Update: From Angela Marx--She apparently found a brave physician in Boise who saved her life.  Thanks to everyone on this wonderful site who reached out to provide resources, pledged donations, offered legal help, and did everything they could to save her life.  You really made a difference today.
Risking women’s lives and health and essentially forcing psychological trauma on them, all of which is the result of Christian conservatism’s catastrophically ignorant and morally brutish abortion beliefs.
If you’re in the medical field in Idaho, are you comfortable with the state forcing you to violate the Hippocratic Oath?

hey there! so, i'm trans and i just had a quick question. i agree with you that gender roles are a very inaccurate way to describe people of a gender. my question is though, why is it that pronouns are set in stone? why is it that being female automatically means your pronouns are she/her and being male means your pronouns are he/him. wouldn't that just be another stereotype? sorry if this came off as rude at all, i'm genuinely curious
hey! no worries, you don't sound rude at all! the way i see it, pronouns (like any other part of language) exist as communicative devices. i believe that language is descriptive, not prescriptive. what i mean by that is if a person fits the description of a word, then that word applies to them. the person declaring that they are that word doesn't automatically make it true. i could say i'm blonde over and over and it still wouldn't be true, because my hair is brown, and the word for someone like me is brunette.
in any language with gendered pronouns, those pronouns are used to indicate the person's sex. they don't- or at least, in a perfect world, they wouldn't- come with any stereotypes about or expectations of the person. referring to someone with "she" should simply tell you that she is female and referring to someone with "he" should simply tell you that he is male. i don't find them to be another stereotype. they're just descriptors that tell you the sex of a person, and they shouldn't have any assumptions or gender stereotypes attached to them.

In this new year I want a free Palestine, a free Ukraine, a free Sudan, and everywhere else being plagued by colonialism and genocide. I want to stop seeing high end condos no one can afford, and I want to see an end to record profits for CEOs and executives. I want to see open borders, free food and universal health. I want us to see kindness, empathy, and us treating each other humanely, I don't want to see us go backwards. I don't want to give up hope.

Being a therapist in therapy is so strange because I have the skills and knowledge to help others process trauma, learn to regulate emotions, etc. but I can’t help myself with those skills, I have to outsource that job to someone else who has those same skills.
