hi!! not sure if your blog is still active, but on the off chance you are, is there a way to center text in a text post?? i can't find any recent code that works!! thank u :)
hiya! unfortunately for everyone, i am still alive and kicking. not 100% sure if you mean in the posts itself or just in themes, so i’ll just cover both
#1 centering in posts
afaik, you can still center text in the posts themselves but it will only be shown as centered in desktop themes.
to do it:
start making a text post
click the cogwheel / settings icon in the top right corner
change the Text Editor to HTML
add style="text-align:center" to any opening paragraph tag (these look like <p>)
save the post
the text post should contain something like this:
<p>test</p>
<p style="text-align:center">test</p>
<p style="text-align:right">test</p>
on the dashboard, it’ll show like this:
on a desktop theme, it’ll (maybe) show like this:
however, do keep in mind that the theme may override whatever styling you’ve added to your post. tbh i wouldn’t recommend putting styling into your post bc even if you can control your own theme, you can’t control other peoples’ themes (when they reblog your post)
#2 centering in themes
if you’re developing a theme and you want all text posts to be centered, just add text-align:center to the styling of the text post. you can either do it inline or within the document styling (so in the <style> tags in your <head>).

if you’ve never seen a line of html/css in your life and/or you don’t understand any of ^that, feel free to message me and i can either talk you through it or edit it for you
i would also be wary of centering text posts like this because it can make long paragraphs really awkward to read if everything is centered. once again, you can control the length of the text posts you make, but you can’t control what other people post.

these fics are just so good that i had to recommend them for you to read. most of these authors and their works have inspired me to start writing and for that, i am very thankful

series
in my feelings by @harrystylescherry * - this series is one of the first harry series i read and it is amazing. the plot is spectacular and the smut is so well written. it has very long chapters and a incredible attention to detail. i constantly find myself re-reading this, 10/10
sail the widest stretch by @beautifulletdownfics * - i read this very recently and i am completely in awe and slightly jealous of how well this author can write. this particular series is an AU and it is so well written. after reading this i recommend checking out all their other fics because they are all this good
euphoria au by @lovecanyon * - i love a bit of euphoria so this fic satisfied me immensely. i love how they managed to incorporate harry into the storyline while still remaining true to the plot and capturing the essence of euphoria
the professor by @avatar-anna - this was such a cute fic, i loved the dynamic between the reader and harry that the author creates and it's just super sweet.
love island au by @finelinevogue - as a fellow brit, and an avid love island fan, i am obsessed with this concept. the relationship between harry and the reader is adorable and i love the way they have written this fic, by including the perspectives of people watching the show from home. love love love.
daisy by @youflowerr-youfeast - this is a beautiful fic that centres on a blind reader trying to navigate the world with her guide dog daisy. it's so beautifully written and i was reading it as i was making this recommendation list and i knew i had to include it.
one-shots
x by @moonlightsolo * - this is another euphoria-inspired fic but it is so hot. i love this fic because it's unlike anything I've ever read but it's so refreshing and i love it. the smut is intense but it suits the fic so well and i'm obsessed.
studio love by @kindapinkskies * - i think this was one of the first fics i ever read and it was amazing. the smut is beautifully written and you can practically feel the sexual tension between the reader and harry. very enjoyable to read and who doesn't love a bit of husband!harry
you said that last time by @heartbreakweatherharry - this is really cute dad!harry fic, it's short but very sweet and the writing is amazing. i love the way this author ties it all up in the end as well
changes by @sunflowervolvimp3 * - this is quite a long one shot, but it's the attention to detail that makes this fic worth it. it has everything you would want in a oneshot in it and i really enjoyed reading this
reclining venues by @starsstruck * - this fic is set in Italy and the writing is so good it makes you feel like you are actually there. another long one but again it is so detailed and the relationship between the reader and harry is very well written
