Last song: Free by Malbec. This song makes me feel like I’m flying.

Currently Watching: I’ve been on a Shakespeare kick for the last couple weeks, mostly to cope with Good Omens being over for the moment. The last I watched was the Andrew Scott version of Hamlet. It wasn’t my favorite production, but Andrew Scott was AMAZING as Hamlet. He might be my new favorite Hamlet (sorry David Tennant you’re still my favorite Benedick.)

Currently reading: Thistlefoot by GennaRose Nethercott. It’s a beautiful, modern day fairy tale with a focus on Jewish folklore. I always do a list of spooky books for Halloween season, which begins promptly on 9/1. It’s lovely so far and I highly recommend.

Current obsession: Shakespeare and Good Omens, lord help me. Besides that, does ube flavor count? I’ve been doing some baking with ube, and also been on the hunt for ube in different menus around town. For those unfamiliar, ube is a purple yam with a unique, almost cakey flavor and I’m obsessed. I’ve made ube mochi, ube brownies, and ube pie. I believe Trader Joe’s sells ube pancakes. I’ve also found a few ube cocktails, which is a blast.

who controls the netflix account and what have they dominated the suggestions with by watching- The netflix account is dominated by Maya, and Edgeworth to a lesser extent. They’ve got the same taste anyway, it’s all Tokusatsu shows

who snores- Phoenix

who has an embarrassing ringtone that the other calls them in public just to get to go off- Maya probably set her and Phoenix’s ringtones as like the steel samurai theme in Miles’ phone and he doesn’t know how to change it back, the nerd.

who sleeps on the top bunk if given the chance- Phoenix, precious child

who plays the piano at 6 in the morning to wake up the other- Phoenix omg he can’t even play the piano which is the part Miles finds most annoying like he’ll storm in all AT LEAST PLAY SOMETHING THAT IS NOT HAPPY BIRTHDAY WRIGHT

who has accidentally set something on fire by attempting to cook a birthday meal- Phoenix. There’s a reason Trucy doesn’t let him cook, but of course Trucy was sleeping over at Pearl’s and Phoenix was like, “Well how bad could it be??” and the next thing u know the kitchen’s on fire and they have takeout on their anniversary instead

Royai:

who controls the netflix account and what have they dominated the suggestions with by watching- Technically Riza, with like military/crime/historical dramas, but for all he complains, Roy enjoys them too. I think they’d both get into Game of Thrones as well, with all the complicated plotting and murder and shit. Their favorite character is Daenerys, but Riza suspects Roy just likes the dragons.

After reading Swan Song for the fourth time (probably one of my favorite AA fics ever, you brilliant writer, doing Simon so much justice) I stumbled across your AA liveblog and I have been binging your magnificent snark for the last like four hours, wow. Oh god yes, I definitely took a look at ????... I still have no words. I mean no, I have words. Wow. Checking their character profiles gave me a nasty surprise - just thinking about it reminds me of my giddy, overjoyed terror. I'm weak to horror, and after the whole... Tea Party... thing... I admit to being pretty nervous, and having the portraits react - just, really well done. Not to mention their discussion... I'm about halfway through Ep 2 now. Beatrice is an absolute legend.
