You can participate in two ways:

Sign up for the exchange! You let us know what you want to receive and what you want to write, and we match you with a new friend. And now's the time to sign up for this year's Elevate! exchange!

Submit a solo work! Add a work to the collection—fic, art, podfic, or anything else—before the due date, and it’ll get posted as part of the releases.

Summary: A glimpse through the years at how Jocelyn looked out for and took care of Twyla while she was growing up.

Rec [written by doingthemost]: I have such a soft spot for these two and the close relationship we see in canon, and love imagining what they might've been to each other before the events of the show. This is a poignant look at their relationship and Twyla's early years. While it can be a little sad, it also feels like a warm hug–especially if you listen to the podfic!

Summary: Ruth makes terrible, corny jokes. She talks for way too long about her high school trifecta of mathletes, robotics, and debate team, and doesn’t entirely manage to hide her surprise when Alexis mentions finishing high school, like, two years ago. She tallies up their bill at the end, then charges Alexis for 58.33% of their appetizer because she accidentally had seven shrimp to Ruth’s five.

It’s the best evening Alexis has had in a long while.

When Johnny sets up Alexis and Ruth on a friend date, Alexis gets more than she bargained for (and then some).

Rec [written by petalwrites]: Alexis and Ruth are the besties I never knew I needed. This fic really explores their personalities and how they compliment each other in ways you might not expect at first glance. It’s also packed with queer feelings and some tooth-rotting Twylexis goodness. Absolutely a must-read.

Summary: “You have somewhere to stay tonight?”

Evan bites his lip, notices the way that Jake is watching. His skin feels too warm and too tight, little sparks skipping along its surface. When he walked in here he had no idea where he was going to go or what he was going to do next, never having even considered anything sexual with another man, and one beer later he’s pretty sure he’ll be going home with this man he just met.

Evan makes a pit stop in Canada and learns a lot more about himself than he ever expected.

Rec [written by petalwrites]: Frankly, I’m losing my mind over this. As a huge 911 fan as well as a Schitt’s Creek fan, this fusion is everything I didn’t know I wanted. Technically, no knowledge of 911 is required to read and enjoy this fic, though. It’s a great fic about self-discovery and… well… quality porn, lol.

Summary: Patrick and Twyla are morning people. David and Alexis are not. This continues to be true while camping.

A 5+1 of early morning chats through the years.

I love how you can see the progress of time and these relationships through the 5+1 format, and the way this is written truly allows these characters to come to life. I love these two as best friends and siblings-in-law, and this is a great read for those who do, too!

Summary: david and alexis haven't always been close, but they have always talked to each other. it's easy to have an open line of communication when you share a telepathic bond with your sibling.

Rec [written by doingthemost]: I am a huge sucker for magical realism and this fic didn't disappoint! I didn't know that this whole time, I've been wanting telepathic Rose siblings in my life. This fic is so touching and sweet, all while being gently humorous. It perfectly captures the feel and mood of the show and works so well with canon.

Rec [written by petalwrites]: Anyone who knows me also knows that I’m a BIG fan of David and Twyla developing a deeper friendship. This fic explores that through their shared love of painting, and I’m totally content accepting it as canon tbh. I’m a big fan.

Summary: how ted and alexis cross paths again, three years later.

You can really see their growth and how nicely they will always fit together. Plus, there are sweet callbacks to the show, matching clothes, and a hint of sibling banter. I really loved it!
