If Arch is relieved that Hector swooped in and accidentally took over the overboss job, perhaps Arch may also be able to help Hector feel a lil better through animal friend time... and hatching secret plans of mirelurk and gatorclaw rescue

I think a little animal friend time is something Arch would be able to set up for Hector :) And, since Arch is lowkey just following Gage around when Hector becomes OB, Hector would immediately get dogy love! Since Fletcher is basically Arch‘s emotional support pup she’s trained to react to emotional distress(usually by laying on top of Arch so hopefully he’s ready for that lol).

I also think that if Arch witnessed Hector feed some of the gauntlet animals then that’s it. It’s like he wouldn’t even have to say anything for Gage to be like ‘well shit, now we gotta keep him,,’ Cause when you’re constantly surrounded by crazy ass raiders who mostly don’t care about animals, seeing someone show a little compassion towards them goes a long way.
