So I got curious if I could make my Scarlet/Violet Mewtwo rig better…
Turns out I could
The Blender Rigify addon is very useful for making professional character rigs, as can be seen in my earlier posts. The rig doesn’t have to be stretchy like what I’m doing in those shitposts, and has an option to make it behave more realistically.
The new rig has some features that were not updated from the previous version, such as the shiny slider down attached to the root as well as the eyelid and mouth controls:
(I plan on overhauling these when I get the chance)
If you wanna give this new blender rig a shot, you can find it at the top of the old repository:
Mewtwo, you mentioned that you would have Amber throwing a tantrum for 5 hours rather than doing what Mew says for a day - and this got me thinking. Is there a specific tantrum she made that you would give the title of “Biggest Tantrum of 2021”?
One of her recent tantrums proved to be more than what Mewtwo had bargained for. Baby's first power surge. It was a pretty frightening moment and a huge eye opener for Mewtwo, seeing just how much power her tiny little body was capable of manifesting, despite only being several months old.
So it seems Mewtwo likes to read - what types of books does he like?
His favourites usually revolve around fantasy, dystopian, psychological horror and crime and he can be picky with what he reads so if the book doesn’t interest him within a few chapters he’ll give up on it.
A library is like a gold mine to him. XD He taught himself how to read with Matt’s ongoing help.
I'm used to Blender, and I'm better at animation on it than on Clip Studio Paint, so I got bored a month or two ago and decided to start making a rather advanced Mewtwo rig. This rig is specifically designed for animating, but is also easy to use for posing in general.
I would HIGHLY recommend checking out tutorials for how to use Blender if you want to try this out. Blender can be a little overwhelming sometimes and is a little complicated for the uninitiated lol. I am using Blender version 3.5 at the time of this release, but it should work for future versions.
Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy this and I hope to see what you come up with - Feel free to tag me if you made something you want to share with it, I'd love to see what other people do with this!
For those who have the version of Clip Studio Paint that has Pose Dolls, I've made two models of Mewtwo that are accurate to how Mewtwo Strikes Back and Genesect and the Legend Awakened depicts them.
