from what I gather, joel's height is estimated to be 5'10" or 5'11. arthur's is never specified in game but it's been stated in behind the scenes stuff that most of the models in RDR2 are based on their actors heights, which would make arthur 6'1" as that's roger clark's height. ben davis (dutch) is far bigger and is one of the few whose body model is different. troy baker's height incidentally is 6'3"
Yeah i believe they used a body double for Dutch because Ben Davis is like 6'6 and Dutch canonically is like 6'. (According to Ben Davis)
Arthur seems to be either the same height as Dutch or even a little shorter in some cut scenes. (Which could be attritbuted to Ben Davis just being so tall that they couldn't quite get the models in the right scale.)
So I usually just place him at 6' to balance it out.
It's also not like the one inch (2 cm) is gonna make a huge difference in anything.
Joel has been confirmed at 5'10-ish. In the sewer level you can put him near markings on the wall that state the height in feet. It's a little hard to read, but he definitely does not hit 6'. (This shot is from the remaster, I've not found a Part 1 shot yet but if anyone has it, let me know.)
Funnily enough we do know that Joel's canonical weight is 200 lbs. (With gear).
But yeah, we now officially know that Arthur is a little taller than Joel. And that makes me ridiculously happy.
If Peter Pan is 5,1 I wonder how tall Slightly is since he's about a couple of years younger then Peter and is the tallest lost boy
That’s a good question!! I tried to find any official chart as to his & the other boys’ heights but no luck… He’s about a head shorter than Peter so I think Slightly should be about 4’1! The rest of the boys are so short!
Wally Darling but he just comes out with the most incredibly cursed/concerning random unrelated little tidbids in the middle of conversation, and they sound like total nonsense to everyone around him but they're actually legitimate observations about the fabric of his reality (hahaha fabric. Puppet joke!)
HELLO, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION TO ME. ('cause I am short)
Is Jon canonically short or is it just very widespread headcanon?
the inspector calls him a 'scrawny little tit' in mag185, so make of that what you will. another point to consider is the route of his ventures out into greater society (easier to pick up and kidnap, throw into boots of cars, threaten with a slit throat, et cetera). i've seen some earlyish (s2-3?) fanart where he's taller than martin though
he's short to me. my little prada purse chihuahua man.
People keep saying that its parasocial for others to be angry and upset by this stupid bullshit Watcher pulled but I think that excusing blatant greed and disrespect for fans with "Look at how sad these boys are! Theyre clearly innocent and naive and have just been bullied by those evil poors online for wanting to make art!" is fucking embarrassing.
She's right. You most assuredly do not come across as an 18 year old.
You give off the vibe of someone living with their older brother sibling.
Huh-
I did only turn 18 like 2 months ago so of course I don't have Adult Vibes. Now I just get to baffle people when I remind them that I am indeed an adult
I know I am a short dude. I have made peace. Especially now that I know that I could essentially just ride these dudes like a backpack. I also keep forgetting that 5'10 is not short.
Like my brother is 5'11.7 or something (182 cm) but my father is 5'9 (175 cm) (which is below average for my country.) Then again the Netherlands has the tallest average in the world.
I'm just exceptionally short in my country (but also trans, so..)
But yeah I have no idea where I was going with this, this just popped into my head while I wait for my stew to finish cooking.
I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I tried messing with this again. (Also learned how to import the textures~)
Yesterday, I thought I'd concluded that Zam was properly scaled and was just a big guy, but I still couldn't shake that he just looked too big since I know he's not supposed to be that tall from the concept art.
So, I tried re-scaling him (and Robot) to see if that would look a little more natural, and I think it does. Maybe x0.9 is too much of a downscale, but I think it looks more accurate than the original.
(Zam + Robot adjusted for x0.95, and B2J)
I think this is probably the most accurate I can get.
I did try rescaling Gigi and Yiruk, but after I "fixed" Zam and Robot, they started to look more normal by comparison too, and the concept art does show them as on the short side anyway, so I think the new chart is more or less accurate.
I don't want to live in a world where Ronan and Blue haven't sacrificed Ronan's school sweater for Blue's fashion as a bonding moment. I always spend way too much time working out how I want things to look and then never actually drawing the picture I did these references for but oh well. Added Kavinsky because 7 is a good number and I love this awful trash king.
My Form Empties makes a bit of sense for Heathcliff considering there was a theme of generational trauma and parallels between two generations of people (samsara/reincarnation) and of revenge (karma) with Heathcliff being a big source of both.
I mean, a major point of his revenge involved the children of his own family and his rival's family. Hareton was ironically, a lot like if Heathcliff had had a good end. Cathy II was basically a carbon copy of her mother. Linton Heathcliff was more like Hindley. It WAS kind of a fucked up reincarnation cycle, that could be said, in a sense, to be the "karma" that the Lintons and Earnshaws and even Heathcliff wrought on themselves.
One of my lukewarm musical takes is that for a musical that's been lauded as revolutionary and something completely different and whatnot, Hamilton sure owes a lot to Les Misérables.
