Personagens #2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Talvez...?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Agora o Emrys... eu, basicamente, me inspirei no Astarion do Neil Newbon pra fazer o meu personagem.

↳ January Wrap-Up ˚୨୧⋆。
Better late than never, right?
Here’s my wrap-up for January! It was a good reading month for me, and a great start to the year, reading wise :)
~ I Dare You by Ilsa madden-mills
~ Taken By A Sinner by Michelle Heard
~ How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories by Holly Black
~ Owned By A Sinner by Michelle Heard
~ The Marriage Game by Sara Desai
~ Heartstopper: Vol #1 by Alice Oseman
~ Heartstopper: Vol #2
~ Heartstopper: Vol #3
~ Heartstopper: Vol #4
~ The Heartstopper Yearbook
~ The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
~ Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur
~ The Sun Will Rise and So Will We by Jenna Cecelia
~ Uncaged Wallflower by Jennae Cecelia
~ Riot House by Callie Hart
I enjoyed all of my January reads but the notable mentions would have to be - in no particular order:
The Heartstopper Series, I absolutely devoured and loved these graphic novels, I enjoyed them that much I just had to go and binge watch the Heartstopper Netflix series right after it!!
How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories, was a beautiful dive into Cardan’s childhood. It definitely gave some insight as to why he behaved the way he did. After reading The Folk of the Air Series back in 2022, I loved being able to go back to Elfhame even if it was for a short while. Jude x Cardan will forever hold a place in my heart <3
And finally, Milk and Honey. Wow just wow! This was my first poetry book, can you believe that?! I loved every single passage, it was raw, beautiful and I found myself being able to relate to quite a few poems.

One More First Kiss - Chapter 3
There were a lot of instances, really, that could be considered their "first kiss."
Continuing on with my fic for @jonmartinweek! Chapter 3 features post-kidnapping hurt/comfort, and another potential first kiss. Check it out on AO3, or read below:
It was daytime when Jon stepped through Helen’s door and into the living room of Georgie’s apartment. It had probably been daytime when he’d stepped through the door in the House of Wax, but he couldn’t be sure. There were no windows where he was kept, and his own internal clock had gotten quite badly out of whack.
When he turned around, the living room wall was blank and bare again. There had never been a door there.
He supposed that was only to be expected. It wasn’t as though he’d been planning to invite Helen in for a cup of tea. But it was unnerving, being alone so suddenly after so long spent in that place, surrounded at all times by a hundred waxwork figures – most of them inanimate, some of them not. Judging by the angle of sunlight coming in through the window, it seemed to be about midday, so Georgie was almost certainly at work. Jon was alone.
He went to the kitchen and found Georgie’s charger plugged into the outlet as always. He plugged in his phone. It had been maddening, feeling the weight of it in his pocket the whole long month, feeling it buzz and buzz until its battery gave out, knowing that the means to call for help were so very, very close, if only he could get his hands free.
When his screen blinked to life, he was almost instantly bombarded with notifications – work emails, and facebook friend requests from people he hadn’t spoken to since uni, a chipper notification telling him his screen time was down from his average this week, for some strange reason. And several missed calls from Martin.
His thumb moved without any real input from his brain, swiping left to return the call. He raised the phone to his ear numbly and listened to it ring.
“Jon?” Martin asked as soon as he picked up. “Thank God, I was getting worried – Where have you been?”
“I–” Jon’s voice came out choked and hoarse. He sounded panicked. Was he panicked? He couldn’t tell quite what he was feeling, just then. “I was kidnapped.”
“Again?” Before Jon could respond, Martin quickly corrected, “Sorry, I didn’t mean– Look, where are you? Are you safe?”
“Georgie’s flat. And– A-And I’m not sure.” He’d been here – just a few feet away from this spot, in fact – when Nikola had threatened him. If she wanted him back, he doubted there was much he could do to stop her.
“Who’s Georgie?”
“An old friend. I’ve been staying with her since– since Leitner…”
“Text me the address, I’ll be right there.”
“It’s a workday,” Jon muttered helplessly. If he was more in his right mind, he wouldn’t have argued – he wanted to see Martin, desperately, needed to have him near – but his trauma-muddled mind fixated on the detail. It was the middle of the workday, Martin couldn’t just leave.
“Sod work, Jon, you’ve been kidnapped!” he sputtered. “I’ll see you soon.”
“Wait, don’t hang up!” Jon said. “I-I’ll text you the address, just– could you just stay on the phone with me? I don’t want to be alone, right now.”
Martin sighed into the microphone, sending a pleasant murmur of static over the line. “Sure,” he said, sounding marginally less frantic. “I can do that.”
Jon put his phone on speaker while he sent the text. It took a few tries to type it out correctly – his hands were shaking quite badly – but he managed. Martin monologued to him while he did. He seemed to catch on quickly that Jon wasn’t up for saying much, just listening, and he shouldered the burden of keeping the conversation alive with admirable smoothness. He filled Jon in on his day, what he’d missed at work, what had happened in Martin's life in the month he’d been gone.
“Mrs. Mei, my neighbor across the hall, just moved into a care home last week,” he said. “I can’t believe it – she’d been living here since the 70s, I think, I can’t even imagine this place without her…”
Eventually, the call cut out when Martin lost reception on the underground, but before it did, he assured Jon he’d be there soon.
“Google says 15 minutes,” he said. “Just hang on.”
It stretched on for an eternity. Jon’s skin was still slick with moisturizer, and crawling with the memory of being touched by cold, plastic hands.
He took out his phone again. Georgie always kept her phone off at work – she couldn’t risk it ruining the audio – but it wouldn’t hurt to leave a voicemail.
“Hello, Georgie, it’s Jon. I’m alive. I’m at the apartment right now, and if all goes well and I’m not kidnapped again, I will be when you get home. Call me back when you get a chance.”
He nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard the knock on the door. (That would be easier now, he suspected – his skin felt like it had been loosened over the past month.) His instincts screamed at him to throw open the door immediately and let Martin in, but he fought them long enough to check the peephole. Now was not the time to throw caution to the wind.
Martin stood on the doorstep, anxious and alive.
Jon wrenched the door open.
“Martin!”
“Jon!” Martin’s hands were on him in an instant, roving over his shoulders, his chest, his sides – checking for injuries, or perhaps just assuring himself that Jon was real. “God, I’ve been sick with– I knew something was wrong, I should have looked for you, I should have–”
“It’s alright, Martin,” Jon said, though he was shaking.
Martin stepped inside and shut the door, then resumed his frantic once-over. “Did they hurt you?”
Jon shook his head. “No,” he whispered, and he was almost being honest.
“What happened?”
Jon explained, as best he could. He was calm enough at the start, or at least he thought he was – he felt oddly disconnected from himself, like his emotions were somewhere to the left of him. At the very least, his voice was level and his hands were only trembling the slightest bit. The more he spoke, though, the more real it became – that he had nearly died, and that he was alive – that he was safe now, and that he hadn’t been safe in a long, long time – and he couldn’t finish for a wave of wracking, choking sobs.
Martin pulled him close, wrapping his arms around him as though he could ward off all the dangers of the world.
“I’m sorry,” Jon whispered nonsensically, because he’d always hated making a scene. Martin just shushed him and squeezed him tighter.
“It’s alright, you’re alright,” he murmured softly. “You’re safe.”
He pressed his lips to Jon’s temple, right at his hairline, and Jon shivered at the contact.
They stayed like that for a very long time, Jon crying into Martin’s shirt while Martin all but held him upright and whispered reassurances into his ear, until Jon finally calmed. His breathing steadied and his heart rate slowed and he found himself possessed of the strange, unsteady calm of someone who had just had a long-needed breakdown.
He didn’t bring up the kiss. He didn’t ask why Martin had kissed his forehead; he didn’t even ask him to do it again. He just straightened up, and slipped out of Martin’s arms, and whispered a hoarse, “Thank you.”
He didn’t know what else to say.

The campfire crackled as the quiet of the night enveloped the people around the camp. Helene, poking at the flames as they devoured the sticks she gathered earlier, felt a little less comfortable than usual. Her core was shaken by the revelation earlier about her past. Not only did she learn about the truth about who she is, but the nature of her urge to kill also made sense as the blood that flows inside her was bestowed by Bhaal, her very being created from divinity.
She glanced at her companions, all sleeping soundly inside their respective tents. Astarion was already in the middle of his trance when she heard a rustling noise nearby.
Naturally, she picked up her quarterstaff and went to investigate. She glanced back at camp before going further, her eyes scanning every shadow for more disturbances that may spring while she was gone. As she stepped closer towards the bushes, that's when she saw him. A bottle in hand, leaning by a tree, Enver raised a hand and signaled her to come over.
He looked harmless under the moonlight, his hair more unkept than usual, yet as she slowly took another step towards him, she held her weapon steady in front of her, pointing towards him.
“Forgive me for intruding, but Orin is not the only one who knows where to find your camp.”
“Why are you here?”
He leaned forward, daring to step closer to her. Helene stood firm, her staff ready as he walked towards her. He extended the bottle forward.. It was wine, sickeningly sweet and tempting. A faint smell of Klauthgrass. She looked at him warily, not leaving his gaze as he retracted his arm and took a swig from the bottle.
“I just wanted to talk. That’s all. Hells, probe my thoughts, if you will.”
Slowly, she lowered her staff. She knows he had been spying on them, but something about the way he drank wine with Klauthgrass and allowed her to probe his mind said that he was not a threat at this moment. She looked back at camp, ensuring the campfire was still burning brightly before replying. “Sure. No funny business.”
Enver gestures for her to follow him, leading them to a nearby clearing. He sat down, watching her walk towards him and sit beside him. A soft smile crept on his face.
She had every reason not to follow him here. The last time they saw each other right after his coronation was not one to forget; as soon as he invited her to his office above, alone, her companions waiting eagerly downstairs, he had tried to kiss her and succeeded. She couldn't fight back as the feeling of familiarity washed over her. The way his arms, sturdy and strong, wrapped around her that moment sent her elsewhere as if reliving a long-forgotten memory.
The silence between them was maddening. Helene gathered her thoughts and looked at him, waiting for him to say anything.
“You know, we used to tell each other everything. The mundane, our plans for the future. Even in the quiet moments like this, it didn’t bother us as long as we were together.”
She held her tongue, wanting to protest. I don’t remember; how would I know, she thought. She looked away and fixed her gaze towards the trees. “What was I like back then?” She asked, pulling a leg up and hugging it. She felt his gaze fall on her as he proceeds to speak.
She listened to him as he spoke of events she couldn’t remember. And yet she felt the gravity of her crimes, the times she spilled blood for the glory of her Father, and how in each murder and atrocities committed, Enver still welcomed her. Despite everything she did, he looked past them and dragged the purest version of her from the depths and let it live.
“How long were we… lovers?” The word felt surreal as it rolled out of her mouth.
“A very, very long time. We used to say it felt forever, even though it was so little. We never even got to finish what we started; we never even came close before you disappeared.”
Helene looked at him. She couldn’t help but notice how his brows furrowed and his eyes sunken—the years caught on him, dark circles around from many sleepless nights. He stared at her, wondering, waiting for her to reply. She opened her mouth to say something but hesitated, sighing as she looked away.
He had expected this. She doesn’t believe anything at first; that has always been the case with her ever since.
“Look at me.”
She should not have done it when he asked. As soon as she did, he leaned forward, their lips touching again. But instead of the fierce and hungry kiss he did after the coronation, this one was tender, delicate even as his eyes fluttered. It was everything he could do before she walked away from him again. Slowly, he reached out for her cheeks, cupping them as he deepened the kiss.
She should not have let him, but there it was again: the sense of familiarity she couldn’t visibly remember, yet it flooded her, feeling warmth as his lips touched hers. She felt something she hadn’t in a long time: the sensation of home. As they continued to kiss, he dared even further and slowly pushed her, laying her down the ground as they refused to break from the kiss. She could feel his breath hitting her skin when he broke away briefly. A rush of sensation: desire, longing, wanting was warring with anger and refusal.
“Gortash, wait.”
At the sound of her voice, he stopped. He pulled back slightly, just so their faces were still close. Breathing heavily, he wanted to feel every inch of her again. To him, it didn’t feel wrong. This wasn’t wrong.
“We can’t keep doing this. He would know.”
His breath slowed down, frowning at her. He dared cross that line again. One more time, he thought. “But you feel it, don’t you? You feel the pull, the draw. Our bodies fit together just as perfectly as our lives do.”
She pushed him back, sitting up. Looking at him with sadness, a bit of repulsion as her lips started to tremble, talking back at him. “And you tell me that for what? How can you expect me to run back to you when you didn’t look for me in the first place?”
“Helene…”
“All this time, I can’t remember. I always thought someone would come for me. And yet, you didn’t. Do you expect me to leave him to come back to you?”
A deep pain went through him as she asked that question. He hadn’t thought of it; he had no explanation. He was so consumed by the very thought of taking over the world for them when she disappeared that Enver didn’t think of the possibility of her being alive. That was the reality. And yet, why did he wait all this time, hoping she would return when he could have looked for her?
Just as he tried to gather his words, he heard the sobbing. He hadn’t heard her cry in a long time. His eyes widened at the sight of her tears, and without even thinking, he held her the way he did the very first time she laid herself vulnerable in front of him.
“Why didn’t you look for me? Why do I have to suffer feeling everything and remembering nothing all at once?”
“Look at me. Look at us. For once, Helene, trust the connection between us. I will bare my mind for you to see.”
“I... I don’t remember you. I’m sorry, this is unfair.”
In desperation, he held her hands and squeezed them. He wanted to hold her so badly, even though his heart was shattering as her tears continued to fall, every drop of water drowning his soul.
“Don’t let this matter concern you. I will remember for the both of us.”
She should not have done it. But as she lifted her head, she moved closer and slowly pressed her lips to his. She could not deny how she craved that feeling; after all this time she had struggled, the feeling of home felt right. He was stunned for a moment. But then he moved closer, pulling her in as he wrapped her arms around her body, pressing her as close to him as he could, and there he felt it: a spark of recognition deep within her.
He wasn’t taking any chances. This was it; this was his chance. And so, once again, he pushed her to the ground and moved on top of her. Not caring anymore that they were lying in the dirt, the soft grass nestling them. Helene felt him lift the hem of her dress, one hand moving up her thighs and reaching to her tenderness. A soft moan escaped her lips.
He tried to restrain himself from doing so, as he didn’t want to do anything she wasn’t comfortable with, but as she moaned again, welcoming his fingers inside her, he took it as a sign and lowered his body on top of her further. She was giving herself to him, trusting him.
In haste, he loosened his trousers and pulled out his length, and as their tongues got to know each other again, he pushed himself inside her, moaning in each other’s mouth. How he had missed this feeling, how he has missed her warm body. The way her breath hitches, her moans and sighs filling his head as he thrust deep.
They knew it was wrong. She had a new lover, someone she chose, yet it was so right and natural. As he moved inside her, he felt her body wrapping around him, holding him close.
“Enver…”
For the first time since she returned, she called him his name. He froze. His breath caught in his throat, and his body tensed. It was everything he could have asked for. He needed it, hearing her call him again with his name,  just like before. Him and her, nothing else matters.
He let out a soft moan, pushing himself further inside her, his breath coming in short, quick gasps.
“Enver…” The spark has become a flame. He could feel her body respond to him just like she did before.
“Say it again.” He whispered, moving back and forth, holding her by the waist in one hand, the other holding her head. “Tell me my name again.”
“Enver… You are Enver.”
He groaned into her mouth, savoring how his name rolled out of her tongue. All those years he had waited, melting into oblivion as they moved in rhythm. Their rhythm.
“Again, just one more time.” He whispered, his voice trembling. Gods, he wanted more. He needed more time with her. “Say it again, please.”
Tears started rolling down her eyes again as she closed them. As if she could finally remember pieces of their time together, she whispered once again.
“Enver…”
When she said his name this time, he pulled her in deep. He wanted to be as close as possible, to absorb every moment. Holding her tight, he kissed her cheeks, tear-strained and warm. “You were mine, and I was yours.”
When they finally reached their release, he lay beside her. Just as their breath returned to normal, the aftermath crept up on him. He has been unfair, using her vulnerability in that moment. A wave of shame slapped him.
“I need time to think.”
She started to get up, quietly fixing her dress. She didn’t look at him as he watched her move away from him. “Can you stay for a little longer?”
“He will look for me when he roused from his trance.”
“A few minutes couldn’t hurt, could it?” He smiled slightly. He didn’t want her to go. He wanted more time no matter what she decided, whether she chose him or her lover. Time that was stolen from them. She pondered for a moment and slumped back quietly beside him.
“You have my gratitude.”
Silence once again took over. The two of them sat quietly as his heart broke into tiny more pieces. “Can you promise me that you’ll at least try to remember? That maybe one day, there’s a chance, too, that we will be reunited.”
“That’s too much you are asking.”
“You are not answering my question.”
She didn’t respond. And yet, she continued to look at him. Eyes wild, looking for signs of deception. “You are not going to say it, are you?”
“I can’t. But I’ll keep it in mind.”
He let her go. He was watching as she walked back to her camp, not looking back at him. He let the silence settle in, stretching between them as she faded away from his view. He’d had to do the hardest thing he did all those years ago: wait. He would wait all the hours, all the days. He would wait again and hope for her to come back.

A must-watch! You can currently stream for free the new short film Toxic Femininity starring esteemed New York performance artist Lypsinka (John Epperson) and directed by Chloe Sevigny but for a limited time only, so don’t delay! In this swooning psychodrama, Lypsinka portrays herself - a fiercely glamorous but troubled veteran monstre sacrée song-and-dance show biz diva (think: Susan Hayward as Helen Lawson in Valley of the Dolls) recovering from “nervous collapse” (gossip column lingo for breakdown). One particularly dark night of the soul, Lypsinka starts bitterly reciting her memoirs into a tape recorder (the voice of is actually Judy Garland) which only seems to further loosen her grip on reality. She’s repeatedly interrupted and tormented by an abusive doppelgänger. And Joan Crawford keeps materializing to offer maddening pearls of wisdom from My Way of Life, her ultra-kitsch 1970 book of tips on how to be an enchanting businesswoman, wife, mother, and hostess (“The world isn't interested in your problems!” and “Bitterness and self-pity are deadly poisons that cannot be hidden” she’s apt to declare). But most alarmingly, Lypsinka seems to be stalked by a cadaverous, white-robed angel-of-death figure, who keeps drawing ever closer … Epperson is a connoisseur of golden age Hollywood cinema, so part of the fun is recognising the snippets of dialogue via Olivia de Havilland in Lady in a Cage, Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest (“Please, Barbara! Barbara, please!”), Agnes Moorehead (the radio play Sorry, Wrong Number) and Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby (“This is no dream! This is really happening!”). Toxic Femininity is a tour de force! Link to watch. Read more about the genesis of Toxic Femininity here.

YESSSSSS YES YES YES YES LIKE... sorey im on mobile otherwise i would type more lmao but it is absolutely fucking MADDENING
especially painful bc i love helen and i love jon's rly tragic relationship w the distortion and i end up feeling so RESENTFUL like. literally she is only there in the first place because of jon. she stayed in the tunnels waiting for him bc she's scared and in pain and she's changing. and she's staying in this foreign place of power waiting for her friend to come back.... protecting his "friends" in the meantime...
and melanie and basira just sort of accept her help???? but when jon comes back and is doing his fucking best they all tell him to his face that they never liked him when he was human and they would rather he have died than comw back as whatever he is now
FLAMES!!! FLAMES. AT THE SIDES OF MY FACE.

Talkingpoints 2 what he has to say on girls, women and relationships.
Now we pretty much guessed that there wouldn't be much he would share on the subject and he hasn't gone into any great detail.
His first kiss was with a girl called Alice aged 10 who was his childhood friend, she was outdoorsy like him and he felt comfortable in her company. The kiss was part of a game Sleeping Beauty and the Prince, a King and his Queen then they just went back to being friends.
As he started to have feelings about girls he didn't have much confidence in himself, he stood out for being tall, wore thick glasses, was slightly chubby and was very sensitive. He preferred to stay on the fringes in class and would hold back with friends.
When the family moved to Edinburgh he attended the James Gillespie's school for one year his Mum suggested a move to a Steiner education so he could develop his creative side. He wore jeans and a tie-dyed t-shirt as he thought it looked cool and hoped he would fit in with the creative types, he wanted to impress the girls as he thought they were smart, gifted and grown up. He doesn't mention any girlfriends while at school or the failed date at McDonalds, Wimpy, Burger King etc
In the first year of his gap year he travelled to Europe with four friends with the prospect of meeting local girls and drinking beer again doesn't go into detail.
The second year he joined the Royal Lyceum Youth Theatre and was infatuated with a girl called Emma, he would arrive early and stay behind to catch her eye but doesn't say if anything happened.
When he attended the Royal Scottish Academy as it was known then he moved in with a male student and two female students Helen and Flortjee. He said like all first years they got high and wandered the streets looking for the best Sunday roasts and went clubbing. No mention of any girlfriends.
There's a picture of him with the actress Elspeth Brodie when they starred in the theatre production of The Pearlfisher he said she beautifully captured the audience and his heart on and off the stage, he mentions an ex girlfriend of his who lived in Richard Maddens Glasgow apartment and confirmed her picture was in the book.
Whilst in London he dated someone for a while who was in his words a smart and ambitious production assistant at Working Title Films, they moved in together but it only lasted a week as they were not compatible in any way.
He's content in his own company but does look for love and companionship and has invested in several meaningful relationships giving 100% commitment and adores the romance, however, when it starts to feel perfect he starts to question can he sustain a relationship for 2, 5 or 10 years. Work makes it hard for him to settle down so doesn't want someone to commit when he can't return it so he moves on. There's no doubt his Father leaving the family has had a huge effect on him, as he said his Father created a family then removed himself from it and he doesn't want to be in the same position. When things look too perfect he bails it's a protective mechanism as he doesn't want to cause hurt to himself or others. The walk obviously gave him time to think so he says the next time he falls in love he should just enjoy the moment and not think ahead as he recognises he's undermining his chances of finding someone special.
He doesn't let people into his life with ease and trust takes time for him to establish, he has very few super close friends again probably because of his Father leaving when he was young, he simply enjoys his own company and craves it.
After the walk he returned home and savoured the stillness, he now sees his house as somewhere he could settle in for a long time to come, a family home perhaps but adds whatever that might mean.
Looking forward to your comments and thoughts on this and if I've left anything out maybe other bloggers who've read the book could fill in any of the gaps.

watching bridesmaids is so wild cause literally kristin wig isn’t wrong at any point with helen. like helen is a girl her best friend since childhood has only known a few months and is now actively going out of her way to kick her out of her best friends wedding and take over her role as best friend and that’s literally insane. like if i was going through that shit i would lose my mind to, fuck i have gone through that shit and it’s infuriating and maddening! like she’s not wrong!
