replaying Sonic Rush and uh, very interesting of the game to keep Cream’s usual cheering even when the boss is her great friend Sonic who she hyped up the whole time

Cream: “You should meet Sonic!”

Cream, as you kick Sonic off a roof: “Yay! You did it!”

#sonic rush #sonic series #man i wanna like this game and the plot but some things are so wonky #imagine if blaze had got to debut in as game with advance like graphics and animation she would be so much cooler #rush has the same level design problems as advance but advance is hyper charming in every other aspect #so i've never acknowledged those problems before people pointed them out #in rush though they punch my face constantly #and actually rush is worse because it occasionally requires platforming over pits with controls way more slippery than advance #also it commits the usual sin media does of being like 'friendship is awesome! trust your friends! we will show zero teamwork scenes!' #sonic: other people can help you out blaze! *fights her* #amy: we're friends! you can rely on your friends! also cream you made fun of me so i'll hit you with a hammer now <3 #tails: i have zero reason to suspect you of anything. also you're hanging with a friend of ours. i'll be overaggressive for no reason #this sucks #i wish you could have tails and cream as actual partners with at least a tag action #hell you don't even get cutscenes with cream save for the ending #there's a whole sequence of her flying blaze out of danger (knuckles) and the game is like 'well #'imagine that just happened'
