75 layers of procastination, suffering, hand cramps and a whole ass spotify playlist has lead to this!! this is one of my favorite scenes to redraw and it fit so prefectly with the current hellbox lore so worth it this thing also took like 5 ish days so reblogs would be greatly appreciated !!!!!!!

Who is Nova

I've seen you mention her I have no idea who this character is or where she's from please tell me everything (if you want)

THIS IS MY DARLING BABY GIRL SHES THE GREATEST AND I LOVE HER TO PIECES!!!!

Her whole ordeal and story is pretty long n whatnot and I’m prolly gonna change some things around too but the gist is!

She grew up in a bastion in the nether after being taken away from the fortress she was supposed to protect. She wasn’t really treated well but she was a force of nature and kept the bastion safe so she was allowed to stay. She met the prince of the bastion and the two became friends. Eventually as teenagers they conspired to run away to the surface, but the prince’s father discovered this and forbade it. Nova challenged him to a fight on the pretense that if she won, they could go to the surface. She won (maybe even killed him, unsure), but the victory wasn’t honored and the King’s guards tried to capture her. Nova and the Prince managed to outrun them in time to escape through a portal they had been constructing in secret.

Once on the surface the Prince grew sick, and Nova went to talk to the inhabitants of a nearby village for advice. An older villager informed her that her friend would become very sick and die as Piglins can’t survive in the overworld. She returns to the Prince with this news and it’s not taken well. He’s determined to see the overworld for himself. Nova, unsure of what to do and very scared for her friend, returns to the village and begs the Villager for help. They reluctantly tell them of items such as regeneration potions and totems of life, golden apples and such. That perhaps they can safe her friend. The villager tells her of a mansion in the woods a few miles out populated by Illagers who carry totems. The same who, for some months, had been disturbing the village’s peace with raids.

Nova, with barely any equipment besides her old sword and a desperation to save her friend, works her way through the mansion. She obtains a totem and a golden apple from the fight and returns to the campsite where the two are staying. The Prince’s condition has worsened and Nova is scared. They manage to gather regeneration potions with the guidance of the Villager she befriended. She realizes these items on their own are not enough, so she makes the rash decision to combine them into a greater potion of sorts. She melted down the totem and cut up the apple, adding both to the regeneration potions. She gives it to the Prince and… it works! In a flash of light the Prince seems to have gained his strength back! It’s a miracle! Nova is in tears and is grateful to see her friend healthy again. She goes and thanks the Villager and gifts them the emeralds she had also obtained at the mansion in thanks.

The two begin to journey together and get to properly enjoy the overworld! It’s great! Nova does notice that the Prince never seems to get wounded as he slices through the monsters in the night, or to tire as she does after a long journey. Eventually, for reasons I’m not too sure of just yet, the two part ways and head off on their own.

Nova travels for a while and ends up meeting two other travelers. They decide to live together for a bit on an island in the middle of a Great Lake. They dub the island as “Hallmark” and they live in peace for a while. Though conflict does eventually brew in the slowly growing group and Nova is forced to strike out on her own, taking residence first in one of the original member’s builds, before going off into a forest to make a house there.

I won’t detail out everything that happened on Hallmark SMP (and also Hellbox SMP) because this post is already getting long AND it would take forever . Also my memory is faulty.

Anyways, Nova befriends a sheep hybrid named Clara (@ind1c0lite’s character!!) who lives in the mountains. They grow close and perhaps could have been best friends if an evil hadn’t taken root. A disease, a fungus of sorts called the Cerulean had quickly overtaken Hallmark and threatened the surrounding lands. In efforts to clear it, Nova and Clara both become infected. This fungus is parasitic and also acts as a kind of hive mind, intending on assimilating the two into their ranks. As the Cerulean took more and more of the server, it also took more and more of Nova’s mind. Eventually both succumbed to the fungus, dying as their bodies gave out from the strain.

Nova died, but then awoke in a void. She saw Clara there, and the two realized they could create things there. They made a cabin, and then they made a world. They called it Elysium. It would be a place for lost souls to rest. But the residents when they arrived did not realize they were dead. This, of course, was a problem.

Again I won’t detail out the entire events of Hellbox SMP here, maybe one day. But lots of shit happened, Herobrine was there, and eventually the world began to fall apart. Glitches swarmed the server and people evacuated, either going to rest, falling to the void, or prying the data of their world’s very existence apart to find an escape. Regardless, Elysium was destroyed, and with it Nova was likely destroyed too.

But I’m not certain if I want her story to end here just yet, I’ll probably go and rewrite sections or fine tune others. But for now this is the very very TL;DR of it and even then it’s VERY long
