hello bestie. im very sorry for making you the victim of my endless rambles about the shit i like. 💙

and i know you're fairly new to the babymetal fandom, but i gotta share my thoughts on the similarities between megitsune and metali. it's been itching my writer brain for days- ☠

both of the songs share similar vibes, traditional japanese culture and music mixed with metal. the music videos are filmed in the same place im pretty sure, and i personally think it indicates that the girls have matured and grown up since their first few years.

the lyrics are fairly similar too, 'wasshoi!' is repeated alot in both songs. the maturing part i think indicates using past songs and lyrics as a way to express their growth as young women and a band as a whole.

and holy fuck the short bridges in the middle portions of both songs makes me all giddy for no apparent reason. momometal's little solo part is a way to show that she's an official member of babymetal and that with the screaming bridge in megitsune really goes well together in my opinion. (and momo growls 'are you ready?!' during the live version after her little solo).

(again, im sorry for rambling to you about a silly kawaii metal band, i had to itch the scratch somehow- 😭)

no dont be sorry i love when people ramble to me! AND OMG thats such a good take on it though and i agree honestly i think it shows growth in not just their music but them personally and i love it 💪🏻 (momo's voice 👏🏻)

And 2) where is the fandom the most active? I can't seem to get a sense of what the fandom is like in vibe or content and it doesn't really seem to be very active anywhere online I can find.

Hello n welcome lol koba is a loser but he is also babymetal's producer; he was the main person involved in their formation and still has a lot of decision over their direction and thus the person we blame for the nonsense that is their management. I hate him for all those reasons but also bc a lot of fans (men) overly praise him for bm's success, which is garbage; praise the actual talent of bm instead- su, moa, the avengers, yui, not some dude behind the scenes. He also is known to keep them from evolving and preventing them from branching out fans wise bc of his elitism and dedication to appealing to the metal fans.

Idk where the fandom is active as this is the only social media I use for bm, besides yt. I don't like twitter and instagram is just tons of stolen content and fb from what I've heard is where a lot of the creeps are; unfortunately this fandom remains bulk old men and they all use reddit a lot but the bm subreddit is genuinely a hellscape so I wouldn't recommend it.

favorite thing about them: her resilience. misa has her flaws but her resilience in the face of All Of Her Trauma is really impressive to me.

least favorite thing about them: this isn’t her fault, its ohba and obata’s writing, but i hate that she’s reduced to a misogynistic stereotype. she has so much potential to be this incredible, multifaceted character but the fandom usually sees her as stupid and immature.

unpopular opinion: as someone professionally dxed with bpd myself i loathe when ppl try to say that misa is borderline. i hate when ppl armchair diagnose characters with personality disorders in general, but like. this one gets me. characters can do bad things without having a personality disorder and headcanoning her this way is like :// you really love to enforce stereotypes about ppl with the Scary Kinds Of Mental Illness, don’t you?

Hello,here is the anon who asked about headcanons for countrys!Sorry that I was so vague about it,but I meant if you had any headcanons in general,like bisexual Norway or transwoman Poland,things like that.

Shit man so just throwing out some of my random hetalia headcanons here for you all to why i’m in this fandom.

Poland IS a transoman.  She goes by the name Felicity, because it came to her in a dream once and she thought it sound really sophisticated.

All the Nordics are fans of some variety of cartoons.

Denmark loves Pokemon.  He still plays Pokemon Go.  Team Instinct, of course!

Finland loves Steven Universe.  The theme is his ringtone.  Of course he also likes the Moomins.  And Scooby Doo.  Who is he kidding - he loves cartoons.

Iceland not only watches plenty of cartoons, but he also digs anime.  Sweden and Hong Kong watch it with him - Free!, Haikyuu!, Yuri!!! On Ice, Blue Exorcist.  

Sweden likes all the older, classic 90-early 00s cartoons (you know, the ones we all mourn).  The original Yu-Gi-Oh, Samurai Jack, Pokemon Indigo League, Teen Titans, etc.  He’ll only do it to the other Nordics (he’s too shy to do it to anybody else), but he’ll respond to the question “what time is it?” with “It’s TIME to D-D-D-D-DDDD-DUEL!” in that perfect gravelly voice.  He did it out of habit once in a meeting when Iceland asked for the time. He got a lot of surprised looks, a bunch of laughter from the other Nordics, and two sick high-fives from America and Japan.

Norway tries to act all high-and-mighty and say he doesn’t watch cartoons because that’s “for kids” or whatnot, but if you listen close in the Nordic household at 2am, you can hear the Bojack Horseman theme coming from under his door.  Don’t mention it if you’d rather not be punched in the ribs.

Taiwan lowkey likes babymetal.  She hides it behind like 5 different folders in her phone.

Estonia may be a techie god, but he can’t work kitchen appliances for the life of him.  He burns everything, or breaks it.  Now, Lithuania and Latvia just cook for him - they were sick of the fire alarm going off while he made toast.

He may not look or act it, and he’ll only do it when he’s alone (or rarely, if he’s with his sister or Austria and he’s really happy), but Switzerland absolutely rocks the fuck out in the car.  He loves to crank up the radio, blast some classic rock, and just have a grand-old time.  He knows it’s dorky and embarrassing, but not a whole lot makes him feel that happy and free, so cut him some slack!  

Liechtenstein and Austria have tried to tell people.  No one believes them.  And if they try to record it, the file always mysteriously disappears.

2. Dahlia - Chanmina (an artist I learned about recently! i like her energy. if i’d compare her to anything, her latest album is kinda like a dark hyuna)

3. Star/Voice - LOONA (was feeling kinda bummed about the way things are currently going for them, so i started listening to this more. it’s fun!)

4. I.O.U. - NCT U (i’m a doiezen and a part time whatever kun’s fandom is called 🤷‍♀️)

5. KARATE - BABYMETAL (these capitalization omfg!, anyway i was showing my mom and sister what kawaii metal was and got re-obsessed with it lmao)

random group shout out: meet me @ the altar and boys world! a female led pop punk band and a girl group in the vain of spice girls, haha. sometimes their lyrics are a little #girlboss-y but they sound nice!

oooh and comfort foods hmmm.

1. macaroni & cheese - classic comfort food, my aunt makes great baked mac and cheese and so does my sister but i’m down for a bowl of that stouffers frozen mac and cheese too

2. moose tracks ice cream - been my go too flavor since i was but a wee lass (chocolate moose tracks too!)

3. dixies - i get these every so often from fannie may candies (not the mortgage company sfdsdf) they’re basically pixies/turtles without the chocalate. so basically just pecans and caramel. simple and sweet

4. brownies - to eat but also like. the act of baking the brownies. a lot of my comfort foods are nostalgia based and brownies were the first thing i learned to make on my own! so i always return to them

5. peanut m&ms - i’m eating them right now sdfsdf chocolate/peanut or chocolate/peanut butter candies are my favorite :)
