I am currently studying to become an ecologist because I love this planet, but... I feel so exhausted. I read news, I see what's happening in the world and the only question I have is: "Why am I even trying?". I don't know at what point WW3 will officially start, we are literally sitting on a one big nuclear time bomb. Just... Even if humans become extinct this planet will remain. No matter how badly we will damage it the planet will continue existing, something new will appear. I love how our planet looks now (minus anthropogenic factors), but I feel so small comparing to politicians, big companies and etc, I feel like I can't change anything. Maybe it is true and humans will be gone for good. I only regret about all the living creatures we will take with us.

TW: Mental health

I'm sick right now. Can't sit at my desk without being nauseated. I've already signed my 30-day notice for "lack of productivity" with HR. I've got FMLA filed, have my PTO banked to cover all of my doctors appointments, but I'm terrified to place more requests right now. My meds were switched two days ago. My new insulin is covered by my insurance but not my mental health meds. I've got two months of coverage left for health insurance before we start again next year. I'm not allowed to stay after any longer to make up my time for stepping away. If I get fired, I lose my insurance. According to the state, my income is too high to qualify for their insurance. The alternative program they have doesn't have availability until the middle of next year. I need to make my car payment and rent payment next check. I'm out of the free visits with my psychologist, and the suggested therapist isn't covered, lol. I'm stuck in a constant ADHD & anxiety freeze mode right now. I'm behind on my classes and have already lost my second attempt at one. How am I doing? Fine. I'm doing fine.
