Suddenly PINHEAD works at the box himself - by remote control and with dazzling skill.
He turns the box rapidly through positions KIRSTY and we have never seen before - even opening it out at one stage into a large, two-dimensional square. Finally, it closes itself down - but in a wholly new shape; a white, multi-faceted, diamond shape - and drops back into KIRSTY's hands.
He stares at KIRSTY and makes a small gesture with his brow. It is ALMOST cute. If anything, it resembles the cocky, aren't-I-clever look STEVE gave KIRSTY after swallowing the cigarette in HELLRAISER. Then his face assumes its normal deadly blankness.

DBD Pinhead cosmetic ramble
all you old followers might remember a post i did when dbd first released ghostface about how i hate that base skin they give him, and I have a similar but more blatant issue with the new Pinhead skin.
Now this is just a gripe but I find the reasons why I think it doesnt work to be kind of interesting, its all about like, misinterpreting a character
This looks like Pinhead having a midlife crisis.
The cenobites were designed to have a specifically sexual, BDSM vibe to it, much of the fashion taken from LGBT bars Clive visited. The new skin throws all that out the door for metal and punk rock.
I love metal and punk rock fashion, but this just doesn’t work for the cenobites. It’s totally lacking all the scarification, the mutilation, the sexual deviancy, present in the normal cenobites. The only thing it has is the open wound in the back, which admittedly is pretty cool. But the rest of it just looks so silly on mild mannered Pinhead. There is an aura of counterculture to the cenobites which you could draw parallels to punk rock and such I suppose, but you need those sexual undertones that this lacks.
So it’s not necessarily a bad skin, I think it would look cool on a new character, but it feels like something a high schooler would make who only knows Hellraiser for “those badass demons who kill people!” It misses the mark for what the cenobites really are. This is just me griping, and I hope I don’t sound nitpicky or whiny lol, but I genuinely just find it interesting. I’m curious if anyone else feels this way.
He looks like he’s going to a circlejerks show, not on his way to an actual BDSM circlejerk
