Does Stella really *love* Octavia?

I have a pretty strong personal bias against people like Stella so, no i dont think so. Like in some twisted way she might think she does but nah. That woman isn't capable of caring for someone besides herself.

Again my opinion here is EXTREME biased due to irl experiences so take whatever i say with a grain of salt but IMO? Shes a bitch and doesn't give a fuck about her kid. If she did she wouldn't be doing half the shit she is (or you know she'd actually try and use Vias NAME once in a while.)

so i watched villanous the other day, and i have to say it feels like a prope, fleshed out version of helluva boss. (i kind of feel like i'm insulting it by comparing it ngl 💀)

but i will never forgive H*H and H*B for ruining Black Hat's design because of their art styles. i cant unsee. dammit.

They even tried to copy the Instagram storytelling tactic Villainous did. Verosika is just demon sona Miss Heed too!

Honestly, Black Hat as a character wasn't much for me, but I think it's due to HH absolutely overdoing the style of the character, and that makes me genuinely upset cause Villainous characters are so much more memorable to me and I would love to learn more about them but ofc CN had to screw that up. Maybe one day it will be avenged!

Villainous should have gotten far more recognition than HH imo. It was more cohesive, had actual well placed arcs, and cool designs and silhouettes that mesh well with the character's personalities and tells us who they are thanks to that. HH fails at this 90% of the time.

2. My favorite design would actually have to be Loopty Goopty's

I know that seems random, but i honestly really love the way he looks! He doesn't look plain-ish, but also not too clutered to the point he becomes a nightmare to animate like certain other characters (cough cough, Fizz and Beezlebub cough cough). Also always a sucker for classic cartoon villain inspired characters, and you can immediately tell that from his design unlike with other characters.

Now, onto the one i dislike the most... Well this one is actually hard, but i think i'll have to go with Asmodeus.

Nothing really against him altought i do feel like his character could have been way more interesting but then again this Helluva male centric show Boss were talking about. Onto his actual design, he honestly is between having nothing and too much going on. Like i honestly feel like the way he looks is not fit when it comes to having him be the embodiment of lust, and his full demon form Is honestly pretty lacking too which is pretty disapointing as if HAVE seen that this show can in fact have good full demonic form designs. Case in point:

3. Ohhh boy, now that's a tough question. But i think i'm gonna have to go with Lucifer Morningstar himself. He could have been a genuinely interesting flawed character with him being the ruler of hell and the father of the main protagonist herself and all buuut instead we got Stolas 2.0. because it just won't be a Vivzie show if we don't villanize his wife instead. I mean, do i need to remind you that this is the same guy who manipulated Eve into eating the forbidden fruit of Eden just because he wanted to screw God over and making it so that all humans would suffer over it (and then proceeds to throw a fit about how they had a choice to do better despite him starting all of this)? The same one who couldn't haven't even been bothered to watch ONE broadcast for his daughter since she was on it and therefore didn't even protect or comfort her when it horribly went wrong but It's okay because he's really trying you guys 😞😔 please.

7. Alright, back to being positive! I LOVE Chaggie! They're the cutest and It's such a shame the show barely pays any mind to them despite being the main couple! Others i like are:BlitzFizz, CherriSnake (please don't come at me, i too don't really like how it was handled in the show but it's cute in concept), GoldenGoose (Mammon x Stella), Barbie Wire x Verosika Mayday, Wally Wackford x Verosika, and Carmila Carmine x Zestial!

Just realized that when Paimon was revealed to be an owl in Helluva Boss, many people were complaining that the real Paimon is despicted as a middle eastern man riding a camel.

Then the episode comes, and it turns out the one voicing Paimon is the voice actor of one of the, if not THE most iconic villanous middle eastern man in animation history, Jafar from Aladdin.

all my friends are very aware im RAGING a lot with the animation and story direction of the show

yes i havent watched the episodes, but from the leaked screenshots and what people have been mentioning after watching it im VERY pissed

it breaks VERY important principals in animation, it has issues the fucking pilot didng have, there is a post i reblogged from someone who went to the premire and described what happend in the first 3 episodes, epsiodes that were filled with way too much information from how it sounded, and arent helping to the leaks of the true identity of the villan of the story being eve passing as lilith and rosie being the actual lilith

is a fucking mess in flames like crazy

WHY THE FUCK DOES ADAM ACTS SO COCKY AND FULL OF HIMSELF

THIS IS BREAKING THE THING THAT WAS ESTABLISHED IN HELLUVA BOSS WITH THE CHERUBS

I REALLY hate this show, and im only wanting to watch it to scream at the animation errors, animation is one of the things i love the most since im little and it pisses me off so much seeing that a show that was praised like a god for many years is this shitty and horrible

Honestly, Ive been meaning to write something about Helluva Boss for a while and uh. I'm in that Writing Mood. So here, have some quick rambles about my thought on HB and worldbuilding and stuff

They'll be under the cut just in case I write too much lol

The way HB fails [hard] with being what it wants to be

First things first: I am not a professional writer at all. I'm just some dog who can write for fun.

Ok. That's out of the way, cool!

So... Helluva Boss, amirite? I think the frustration a lot of detractors/critics have over it (and frankly, I'm amongst these) is how much *potential* it has. It exudes it, and like, if you read 5 different HB rewrites, they will all grab different stuff and run with it, because there's many, many things to tinker with that, in the hands of a well planning writer, could make the series just. Brilliant!

But, let's be real, the series doesn't do that. I'm not original in saying this but, from a plot perspective, HB sucks. It falls flatter than a metal sheet (is that a phrase?) And, hypocritically, it's obvious how Viv prides herself as writing it as revolutionary in ways that the story doesn't even (and forgive me for this) have the balls to be in.

It prides itself in having raw portrayals of queer folks, yet it only lets itself write the same overused "gay ppl + sex = funni" jokes over and over again, it goes and compares it's protagonist Blitz to Bojack Horseman, yet in Helluva Boss the plot bends itself backwards to lift any sort of responsibility that Blitz has for his actions (which is, y'know, NOT what BH does, at all), prides itself of being a female centered plot even though it's obvious how underdeveloped the female characters are compared to the male ones. I could go on and on.

And, in the most sincere, nice way I can conjure, this isn't just the creator being a hypocrite, this is straight-up a symptom of what I think dooms not only this series, but most of the works Vivziepop has done: The story of the thing doesn't know what the fuck it wants to be

Helluva boss is, at least in theory, supposed to be a dark comedy about demon hitmen. Simple concept, lots of stuff to tinker and play with! A lot of ways and directions to take it to, too. But then it tries to be a musical every few episodes. And then a family drama. Sometimes it's an episodic story and sometimes it tries very hard to fit into a season-long arc, depending on the mood. It gives characters some sort of growth just to take it away, and then give them another sort of growth. It defangs and villanizes it's antagonists in a way you just can't help but feel bad for them, because it takes away what made them interesting. The protagonists fuck up and the plot let's you know they fucked up, but then... The consequences of their actions never come!

Blitzo indirectly causes permanent scarring, disability , and trauma on his childhood friend and it causes such a rift that they don't talk in fifteen years, but it's fine! Look! Fizz forgives him in the span of a day after a little chat and now they're friends again :] don't think about it at all :] this is perfectly A-OK and totally not a way of making our poor little Blitzy a victim and Fizz the cunt for not forgiving him until now :]]]

Don't get me started on Barbiewire

Helluva Boss biggest sin is not it's lack of character growth, or it's dumb sex jokes (they ARE bad btw. I'm dying on that hill), or any of that sort. There's many good shows that can pull stuff like that and still be, y'know, good. Or at least mid. It's greatest mistake it's in the way that not only doesn't know what to do with itself, but also wants to do everything without understanding why and how to do it. To bite more that you can chew, if you know.

I have way too many thoughts and criticisms around this funky web series, and I'll probably do more rambles around this specific problem. But I think this is it for me and for now
