Summary: Frustrated with SMG4, Three takes his stress out on a pair of dolls he put in Fours room. Slowly secret feelings slip out with a guest catching the whole show.

SMG3 huffs walking away from four and the rest of the crew annoyed, SMG4 wanted to do a video testing everyone's skills in different challenges. Four knew that Three wasn't about eating challenges and other silly activities the others would be into, yet the man still told Three he had to eat a bunch of pasta against their avatar. He storms into the castle thinking on how to blow off steam since the group was using his cafe as background to help boost interest. He noticed that Four left his room open, there in the chest of his room were two doll made to look like their old design.
He keeps stomping as he makes his way to his partner's room, he slams the door shut and looks at the dolls. He picks them up frowning, seeing their old design brought back not so pleasant memories for him. He sits on the floor with the dolls and sighs changing the pitch of his voice he begins to move around the SMG4 doll “Oh Three mind doing some really stupid shit that will make you look like an idiot, haha that was a joke i dont give a shit go do it!” he picks up his doll and starts moving it “You're just giving me these roles cause you know i'm better than you, i'm A tier while your just a D tier scrub!”
He kept going back and forth getting his anger about the events out of his system, slowly something else surfaced as he brought the doll together. He blushed seeing how close the dolls were, he brought them closer as his heart raced at the thought of making them kiss. Is this something that he wanted?
He thinks back over everything they have gone through, he had to admit since confessing he saw the other man as a friend the pair had gotten closer. They joke around more, they hold hands more often not because he likes it after all they had to use their powers in that way. Lately he has not been able to get SMG4 out of his head, the idea of spending time with him made his chest feel strange. He thinks back to the last time he felt this way, he met Gary, he saved him from an explosion he caused due to using too much gunpowder they hit it off well until his obsession with SMG4 got in the middle.
He sighs dropping the dolls, everything that has gone wrong was because of the idiot. Yet at the same time all the best memories he had was also with the man, with conflicting emotions he grabs the dolls again and makes them kiss.
He smiles softly at the sight, it reminded him of their first kiss that Mario made them do. He acted like he hated it but deep down he knew he loved it, he changed his voice and moved the SMG4 doll “Your so awesome SMG3, no wonder you became tumblr sexy man. Lately my thoughts on you have changed.” he moves the other doll making it seem shocked “What are you saying SMG4!?” Lost in his game of pretending he doesn't hear the door open as SMG4 went to check on him. He blinks seeing Three sitting by his bed holding the two dolls, he slowly walks towards him hearing the man speaking.
SMG3 blushes feeling a bit embarrassed from what he was going to say “Well what i mean is i love you SMG3,” with that he makes the SMG4 doll kiss his. Seeing this SMG4 lets out a giggle “Hey Three what are you doing over there?” startled SMG3 screamed, throwing the dolls away from him.
Three turns giving the man an awkward smile “OH SMG4 how long have you been there?” Four couldnt help the smirk growing on his face as he looked at the dolls now abandoned. “Oh just got here, heard a voice in my room and wanted to check it out.” he then walks over and sits next to the man still smirking “What were you doing?”
Three lets out a nervous chuckle “Uh oh! Getting stressed out so I was teaching your stupid doll a lesson!” He smiles feeling confident that his answer lured Four away from the truth. Four hums picking up his doll then he turns to SMG3 “Well don't stop because of me let me help you out!” Three eyes go wide before he can decline the offer SMG4 presses the doll's lips on his cheek, causing him to blush.
Three stared wide-eyed at Four who then hides behind the doll “I can't help that i fell in love with you, we are friends now no longer rivals! I’m sorry for hurting your feelings. Could you ever forgive me?” still blushing he grabs his doll and talks behind it “Sure whatever this is fucking stupid why are we doing this?” Four moves the doll closer to him. Three was watching every move that Four was doing, nervous as to what the man in blue was planning.
“Because we had a fight earlier and i want to make it up to you,” Three blinks surprised to hear four words. Without thinking he leans forward, seeing this Four took his chance placing his own lips on Three. After the quick kiss, Fours face was dark red, he got up acting as if nothing happened “We should head back to the others!” Three gets up and grabs the blushing man pulling him into another kiss, dolls forgotten on the floor as the two share a kiss. As they pull away, Four looks at Three in awe, Three rubbing his arm “uh what just happened?”
Four shyly looked down “My confession with the doll wasn’t a lie, i got interested in dating…looked around and no one caught my eye. But that's when I noticed an apple already did and it's you..” SMG3 smiles hugging Four “You're such an idiot… I feel the same.”
They pull away smiling softly at each other before leaving the room, Four then comes up with an idea. Telling Three he needs something he runs to his room and grabs the dolls, he places them on his bed now holding hands. He giggles and runs out of the room “HEY BABE NEW IDEA FOR A VIDEO!”

just barely made enough art this year to do this meme idk(2 of these haven’t been posted anywhere). HNY
this year i started using tumblr more because i gradually used twitter much less sometime over the summer (RIP little blue bird) - im back to my silly old ways and posting my art! many thank yous and kisses and big ghibli-style tears for everyone who looked at my art, gave them likes, reblogs, or left comments or lovely tags. thank you to those who helped inspire me and got me back into writing fanfic, thank you to everyone on footyblr making it feel like a cozy and wholesome space, for mutuals, thanks for tolerating my vampire obsession (i was ….a lot more deranged with my footballer obsessions on my twitter i think but maybe i’ll be able to open up more here eventually)
i miss making “complicated” looking art (eg., in the bottom corners) and i hope to do some more experimentation to find a way to make this kind of art with football as the subject matter (probably wont be making much more h/talia fanart unfortunately…). my confidence in my art might be returning to a higher point. last month i moved on from the tablet and art program that i’ve been using the past 13 years and the change is probably good so far. i think i started enjoying drawing and sharing again over this year and i just hope i keep it up. and i hope to write more, and learn how to …. read and write again.

A beginner’s guide to tumblr etiquette
— How the algorithm works —
Ok so maybe that’s a misnomer. Tumblr doesn’t actually have an algorithm, and so the way all things circulate is reblogs. If you see a post that you like give it a reblog so that more people will see it.
This doesn’t mean liking the post is useless! If you like the post the op gets a notification that somebody liked their post and that would understandably make them happy. Give the post a like! It’s like giving the op a pat and going ‘Nice post!’
If you see somebody post a poem or a fanfiction or a sketch or a drawing and you think it’s nice like and reblog it! Artists struggle to circulate on here and it’s SO helpful to creators of all types!
Don’t try and get famous, you won’t. If you’re not already a content creator on another site you won’t get far with trying for fame. If you post something it will either blow up or not, it’s up to the people.
Brands don’t make it far here and neither do celebrities so the odds are we’ll push them out if they get here.

Maybe you don’t like something somebody posted, maybe it’s problematic, whatever the case you don’t interact. Don’t reblog it with your opinion or even comment on the post. Block the person that posted it and move on. If they said something truly problematic (Something illegal or against the guidelines) then report them and block them.
So now let’s say you have a pet peeve about a fandom and you want to post about it. In this case let’s use a ship you hate as an example. Don’t use the main tags of the ship use a discorse tag. (they exist you just need to look a bit more.) If you don’t use a discourse tag then expect to be blocked.

When you fallow somebody and they fallow you back their your mutual. Mutuals tend to exchange dms and reblog each other’s posts. Their a generally nice thing to have and it’s like having friends that actually texts you back- *begins crying*

When you reblog something and you want to comment but don’t care if more people see the what you said then put it in the tags. When somebody reblogs the post your tags will not appear under their post.
If you see somebody posted tags you like you can screenshot the tags and reblog the post with the tags you screenshoted. This is called peer review.

If you repost art credit the artist but generally don’t repost art. Reblog don’t repost. If I add a funny caption though… NO! Credit the artist even if it’s a meme!

This is kind of just an unhinged meta rant about Rymin so do with it what you will. It's about Ryan's parents and how, despite having very little screentime, they really play into the story and the disagreements that Ryan and Min-gi have.
Ryan's dad only has one line and it's to give exposition to the fact that he's from a large family. That's all any of the Akagis say about Ryan. They aren't paying any attention to him or what he's doing in the BBQ scene in the twin tapes. Ryan is the exact middle child, and I think that was chosen intentionally to drive this point home. Them overlooking him leads to a lot of his outbursts throughout the season (quotes may not be exact because im not going back to look) -- "Our parents are probably wondering where we are. Or, at least... yours are." (the old west car), "Why doesn't anyone care about how I feel?" (the art gallery car), "At least your parents actually care about you!" (the mega maze car), and "No one cares about me unless I'm doing... something." (honestly cannot remember which episode and I'm too lazy to look it up). Ryan's parents' absence from book four is purposeful -- their lack of presence says just as much about Ryan as Min-gi's parents presence says about Min-gi.
Ryan has a big personality. He's a performer. He loves dressing up in crazy outfits and he loves looking cool. I don't think these things necessarily stem from emotional neglect as a child, but they are affected by it. He craves attention and he hasn't been getting it, and that leaves him with severe issues when it comes to dealing with his feelings. All of those quotes I mentioned are him lashing out, seeking attention from Min-gi, hoping that Min-gi will notice how much he's hurting from being ignored -- but every time, Min-gi redirects back to his own family issues.
Min-gi is from the opposite situation. I don't have as much to say here because the show is much more blatant about it, but his parents give him too much attention. They hover, they tell him what to do and how to do it. He is being slowly crushed by their expectations. He wants the same things as Ryan -- to make music, to perform, albeit for... lets say artsier reasons than Ryan does. But he's been taught those things are childish. He needs to be the responsible one, and clearly he's the only one with a good head on his shoulders, considering what Ryan is like. He lashes out at Ryan constantly, especially in the early part of the season, for continually dragging him into impulsive plans.
He wants Ryan to conform to societal norms, like he does, like his own parents taught him, so that Ryan will stop getting them into messes. However, Min-gi doesn't see that Ryan's personality and mental health issues don't give him the option to conform (creds to tumblr user vexahlla for that phrasing ... her tags on this post made my brain explode). He says "I couldn't get into uni if I tried" (the mega maze car). This is a whole other rant but Ryan also displays symptoms of bipolar disorder throughout the season which indicates to me that his brain chemistry would not physically allow him to slow down and follow a "typical" life path without genuine help (not the needling Min-gi was doing in the astro queue car). I think these problems that the show alludes to would have been alleviated a lot more if he'd had more help from his parents, but again, he's dealt with emotional neglect since he was tiny.
So Ryan and Min-gi end up as an unstoppable force and an unmovable object (which... now that i think about it... is a pretty accurate description of them as people, too). They both want to play music, but Ryan needs it immediately, because he needs the attention that he's not getting at home. He wants to get away, and fast. However he doesn’t realize that getting away without Min-gi is pointless, because Min-gi is who he actually wants attention from anyway. On the other hand, Min-gi can't leave immediately, especially when he thinks there's a particular life path he needs to follow. Both desperately want the other in their life, which keeps driving them back together, but they butt heads because their upbringings are so opposite.
This issue doesn't exactly get resolved in book four, but it doesn't need to, either. Book four ends with Ryan and Min-gi apologizing, and agreeing to stop sweeping things under the rug, actually try to look at each other fully, and see where the other person is coming from. So it's definitely a start to mending the gap between them and i think that's enough.

Favorite author: Right now? Silvina Ocampo. Read an anthology of her short stories this winter and it changed the way I think about writing, and also about people.
A popular book I've never read and never intend to read: what's going on with The Midnight Library's promotion team to make them so powerful? It seems fine enough but I'm tired of it already
A popular book I thought was just meh: Asimov's Foundation. Please don't kill me! It's very interesting and well-executed, but a little too interesting and well-executed.
Longest book I own: Janson's The New History of Art.
Longest series I own all the books to: Edith Blython's The Five maybe?
Prettiest book I own: Also Janson's The New History of Art.
A book or series I wish more people knew about: Jorge Amado's Sand Captains was foundational to me. José Eduardo Águalusa does fantastic realism, loneliness, love and trauma in brilliant ways. So many! Mia Couto's whole oeuvre is winning a Nobel in the next ten years, you heard it first from me. Also D. H. Lawrence's The Fox is terrifying? I'd have thought tumblr would be all over it.
Book I'm reading now: Lídia Jorge's The Bird Painter is electrifying and so tightly written you get vertigo. I am reading and savoring it quite slowly.
Book that's been on my TBR list for a while but I still haven't got around to it: Hamnet! I know, I know. I have it on my shelf and it was a gift, too, I have no excuse.
Do you have any books in a language other than English: Portuguese, Spanish, and one (1) French Arséne Lupin paperback, in the hopes of one day getting truly into learning-by-immersion (guesswork and Google, mostly)
Paperback, hardcover, or ebook?: I am strategic about this. Mostly paperbacks to carry around and read outside, and especially on bus rides. Very few hardcover, but sometimes I can't help myself. I can't carry heavy loads for long, so heavier books are mostly cozy home-reads.

Why could Sydney fall for Carmy?
Side note: I like the Carmy x Sydney tag best because that’s how they have each other in their phones. WTF is there a gazillion tags for them? I’m fairly new to tumblr and don’t get it completely. Anyways…
Back to my rambles. I keep seeing people wondering why Sydney would possibly fall for Carmy the way he will/is falling for her. This also manifests as the thought that Carmy is a loser and she could do better. I balk at these ideas for a few reasons.
1. She is just drawn to him. She just is. I’ll take it to a weird gothic place and say it reminds me of Dracula saying he crossed oceans of time to be with Mina. Like WTF, but also, aaaw, epic. That may seem lame but it’s just the damn truth. Before she even met him she was drawn to him. We know he made the best dish she ever had but we also know she knew he was Food & Wine’s best new chef at 21. Did she know that before she ate his meal in NYC? Either way she knows him before she knows him. We are our creativity. I know the truest forms of me comes out in my creativity which has a few forms (writing, fashion, and the other two are quite personal). I view these characters similarly. If you pay attention to my fic you will get the last two and be like !!! if you really pay attention. Anyways, she knows him because she knows his art. She tasted it, she consumed it, she internalized it… and found it to be perfect. It was so perfect to her that she took a chance on The Beef (what a horrific name, and I eat meat) because of knowing him. And yet…
2. She can’t admit to his face what that knowing him really means to her, the way it makes her feel. It’s so compelling and life changing that she can’t say it to him on her first day, she lies. She’s ok saying she knows him, can list the accomplishments that everyone recognizes. But the thing that is personal and sensual, the most impressive thing she can’t share with him. There are huge implications there. Why can’t she say it to him? Sydney does not hold back. Why can she only say it to Marcus but he had to ask her twice. I don’t even think she realizes she deflected by adding that final touch of acid (oh, the irony). It’s discreet, erotic, vulnerable. She isn’t ready to be those things yet in a visceral way… especially with him. He takes her to that place but she’s not prepared for that place yet. She likes to be in control. She resists help, she wants to be the one caring (giving people the best bacon ever). And yet…
3. She lets Carmy help her. In E3 Marcus tried to help her, Tina tried to help her. The only person she point blank asks for help from is Carmy. Marcus helps her after she rejects his help and she has that sad moment but she kind of just resigns herself to his help because she actually needed it. When she asks Carmen for help in E5, she doesn’t really need it. Like, I think she could figure out how to strain stock on her own and has done it a gazillion times. Like, come on. But she wants to work WITH him, she finds an undefined comfort in him giving her the help when they are having this oddly ambiguous intimate scene. She lets herself be soft with him in a way that isn’t her taking care, it’s her receiving and she asks for it. That dynamic is unique between them. So…
4. She has high emotions with him that are veiled. A lot of their tension could be dismissed simply as work arguments but I feel there is more going on. They don’t know how to categorize each other. With Carmy it may be more obvious. His first time being a business owner, grief, anger, feeling lack of control, etc., etc. But with her it’s a little more nuanced. He was her idol. That may be simple but there are all kinds of weird emotions wrapped up in that. How can there not be? It could stay platonic and just stay a deconstructing your heroes thing but there seems to be a bit of lingering looks of wonder when they have bizarre ‘chef moments’. Why the starry eyed look when they talk about the veal fat? Why was she looking with such yearning when he was eating her dish? I never look that way awaiting a boss to review my work. What the hell did she feel like when she ate his meal? Did she want him to have the same ecstasy she had tasting his? Why such a needy look from someone so professional? It was just EXTRA. Why the prolonged stare down about the boiling stock. She desperately wants his approval but I think she also desperately just wants him, she just doesn’t get that yet and in what way that could be. So…
5. She stays through all this BS that The Beef is. Why the fuck does she? I get why she fucking bolted in E7. She put up with so much shit and it was her breaking point. She chose her at that moment and I don’t blame her. I’ve quit jobs in a blaze of glory like that so I get it. Sydney is already accomplished in the fine dining world. Maybe not famous, but accomplished. Yes, she hit a snag, but her training and work experience is stellar. Of course, she wants to see what working with Carmy will expose her to but it’s pretty clear right away that this is no fairy tale. He isn’t respected in this kitchen, they broke as fuck, he owes a $300k debt to a mobster, they get a C, his fake cousin is an abusive HR nightmare, they get shot at, shit is always breaking, she’s mos def overworked and underpaid, so much screaming… yet she fucking stays. Inexplicably. Yeah, they can be different blah blah, E3 rambles, but why does she put so much faith in that? Carmy. Not Carmy the excellent chef, something about Carmy because he’s just fucking who he is to her even if it doesn’t make any sense. Her instinct is to stay. Even after she quits her instinct is to stay. She has no history with that place other than Carmy but she stays.
6. Their partnership is romantic. I just feel she is the type that needs a common ground with a lover for it to have any substance. Them being able to vibe creatively, not just about the mechanics of running the business, but being able to create together will have an impact on her that will be earth shaking. That would kind of epitomize her whole reason for wanting to work with him. She may think it’s to get his approval but really to make something together is more magical. Like, can you imagine them making a recipe TOGETHER?!
7. And this may seem corny but she may fall for him because he falls for her. Carmy is intense, passionate, singularly focused. Imagine that in the context of romance. Messy at first but wow, when it matures.
8. Yes, Carmy is a hot mess but he won’t stay that way if this show is smart and I think it is. Carmy is already progressing even if he backslides at times. I think the fact that he doesn’t fall into the typical chef vices speaks volumes and is overlooked. He does not abuse drugs or alcohol (other than chain smoking), he’s not a whore, he doesn’t blow money, he doesn’t party. He is a workaholic (yes, damaging no doubt). But he could be a lot worse considering everything he’s battling yet for some reason he has an inner fortitude and discipline. That’s admirable even if he’s a hot mess. That is what gives him the foundation to try to better himself even in the thick of his trauma. He still seeks hope. It takes some fumbling but he does go to Al-Anon, he does apologize, he does simmer down, he does know he was wrong. But he isn’t prideful, he tries to correct himself. That's strength. Once he heals more who knows what kind of character he will attain. Carmy is also successful, even if he is struggling right now. He will keep working on something until he gets it right. This says to me he can be a provider, he doesn’t want to fail. He won’t be okay with mediocrity. He wants to produce quality in anything he does. That’s virtue. Give him time and he will be a romantic hero. He’s just deeply wounded but he’s on a hero’s journey. Randomly, I think of Matty Matheson’s story. Boy was a hot ass mess, then met his wife (while still being a loser) and is now a successful chef, husband, and father. Just saying. Everyone doesn’t have to be perfect when you meet them to be the one. I just don’t think Carmy’s a loser. He’s struggling but he’s trying in dynamic ways.
I dunno, I feel I could ramble on but I’ll stop here. I’m sleepy. Bottom line, Sydney is an angel, I get it, but I don’t think it’s so far-fetched to see her falling for Carmy eventually. They aren’t perfect together yet. He’s not perfect yet. I mean there is nothing perfect here on earth, but you know what I mean. I think Sydney falling for him could be deep because he’s deep, and it wouldn’t just be a cutesy infatuation. They will have struggled together and seen each other at their worst and grown together in every sense. That’s adult love and this is a coming of age story.
Bonus: She touches him when they aren’t on the same page in E7. Why does she need to touch him to try to connect again? Very interesting. I never touch my boss.

Hiya! I’m kind of a small creator on here and trying to get my rottmnt fic an audience but no matter what I do as promo material (art, skits, rambles) nothing ever works to get more than like 2 notes max. I’m confident in my story’s quality so I’m fairly sure that’s not the issue. I was wondering if you have any advice or anything like that? Your stuff is lovely and get a lot of community engagement so I’m curious if there was anything you actively did that helped you grow! I'm going into marketing, and I spent a full school year in high school doing an independent study on social media algorithms. So I know a LOT about how to grow social media followings- specifically instagram accounts.
But I never actually studied tumblr. I used to use instagram as a platform, but knowing how the algorithm worked was too stressful for me... I'd post stuff and be like "the algorithm won't like this because blah blah blah." Eventually I was drawing for the algorithm and not for me, and so I quit because it just wasn't fun anymore...
Which is why I have very specifically not studied Tumblr's algorithm, because I don't want it to turn into the same situation as with instagram. So I don't know a ton about how to grow a following... and also I've only been on tumblr for 5 months...
THAT BEING SAID: I can walk you through my tumblr and how it's grown!
My very first post was of a meme redraw with the 2012 turtles. I think it got around 1,600 likes?
I posted a couple more things, with varying amounts of likes and such. My first comic (which I never actually completed past the first part) got a total of 7 likes within the first months of posting it. Only when I got more followers did the like amount change.
When I posted my first chapter of the Flashbacks AU, I had 33 or so followers. I think I got to like... 300 followers from that first chapter alone. From there it was just... a steady growth of followers I guess. And with followers comes more reblogs, and with more reblogs comes more followers.
I have around 1,600 followers now. Not everyone is gonna like my posts, I think I get around 20 for responded asks and 100-300 for random pieces of art. Comics get closers to 600 or so. It depends on the content.
I think there are a couple of universal things that help grow an account:
1- Making sure your content is reaching the right people. Put the right tags in. Go crazy with them in fact. If I'm posting a piece with Rise Mikey in it, Im gonna tag: Mikey, Mikey tmnt, Mikey 2018, ROTTMNT, Rise Mikey, etc etc. On instagram they are currently trying to get people to limit their use of tags, but I don't think the same thing applies here. Even tho tags don't help as much here, they are still a good tool!
2- Consistency. Idk how it works on this platform, but consistency is generally a good thing! With instagram theres an actual method to it (1 post a day= good, but the more posts you do a day the less people it shows it to), it might be worth it to look up if tumblr has something similar.
3- Have fun with it! I know this is kinda lame to say... but don't change your content for views. Just... do what you like and eventually your target audience will find you :)
4- Engage with what audience you do have! It's fun to bond with people online, and it helps that "community engagement" piece you talked about!
5-... stalk people hehe. (By which I mean: Look at what other artists post! What tags do they use, do they reblog their own posts a lot, etc etc. Also look at artists with similar followings to your own. For example, studying Cass might not be very helpful, because Cass has a large amount of followers and I'm convinced they could post a picture of a blank canvas and still get 1,000 likes hehe... BUT- I mean you could scroll down to Cass' (or other artist's) first posts and see what they were doing then! Just... observe others I suppose!)
Id love to tell you likes don’t matter, that what matters is having fun and loving what you are drawing. But also I do know how it feels to post something you are really proud of and then have no one like it- it sucks.
But just keep on going :) You'll find your people eventually I'm sure.

Signup Tips for First-Time FTH Creators
Never offered an auction in FTH before and not quite sure what to put in all those text boxes? We've been doing this for a few years now and have seen what types of offerings are most effective, so here are a few pointers to help you get started:
For everyone:
It’s okay (and even encouraged!) to offer only one auction if you are new to creating for FTH. This auction is reliant on an honor system; bidders need to trust that creators will follow through on their promised fanworks. We do a lot of followup, but ultimately we can’t make the fanworks ourselves – we have to trust that you will follow through on your pledges. It’s tempting to offer as much as you possibly can, we know. But defaulting on your promised fanwork(s) can result in you being banned from participating as a creator in the future, and we want to see you and your wonderful work back again year after year! Trust us; start small, and see how it goes for your first round.
Make sure to use those Portfolio Links! A lot of people who are new to the auction worry that they're not "popular enough" to get any bids. But many people browse FTH specifically to find new creators whose work they love! If you include links to your AO3, Tumblr, DeviantArt, etc, people who aren't familiar with your work can get an idea of your style and decide if they want to bid.
If you link to your Tumblr (or any website that uses a tag system), try to link to the relevant tag (many people use "my art" or similar) if possible. People are more likely to look through your work when they don’t have to do additional searching for it.
We only put the ~100 fandoms we expect to be most popular on the drop-down menu, but you aren’t limited to just those options! You can always write in any other fandom in the "Other" box. Yes, you can offer three write-in fandoms! If a write-in gets more than a couple of offerings, it may be added to the drop-down for the next year.
If your fandom has unique terminology, be sure to explain it! For example, in some fandoms "fancam" refers to a fan bringing a camera in to a concert and filming the performance from a different angle than official videos; in others, it refers to a video collage of footage of a particular performer from across performances or media they've been in.

If you're offering a written fanwork:
Avoid the "Any fandom" option. People looking for fanfiction (or other written fanworks) tend to want someone who is familiar with their specific fandom and/or favorite characters/pairing. If you choose this option, your auction also won't get any specific fandom tags, and that is where people tend to look for fanfiction. Choose the 1-3 fandoms you're most interested or most comfortable writing in.
If your interest in a specific fandom is waning, it's not a good idea to offer it for FTH in the hopes that a good prompt will help you find that spark again. One of the most common reasons that creators default on their auctions is because they lose interest in the fandom, and you might get banned from future auctions if you can't fulfill your fanwork promise. If there's really only one fandom you feel like writing in right now, stick to that one! Don't feel pressured to offer multiple fandoms just because the option exists.
Put the pairings you're most interested in as well as your favorite tropes in the box asking if there's anything you're particularly interested in focusing on. Some people get very detailed here, which is great as long as you're careful to note which things are "this would be cool" and which are "I will ONLY write this." For example, "I prefer the book canon to the movie" is different from "I've never seen the movie and can/will only write book canon."
If you don't have much fanfiction posted, this box is extra important. This is your chance to let people know that even though you've only ever posted one Blorbo/Scrunglo fic, you've been reading a ton of Eeby/Deeby and would love to get your hands on them.
In the "NOT willing to address" box, be sure to put your hard nos. No matter what, you will not be held to any expectation from a bidder that you address anything you list here. This can be pairings, media adaptations, kinks, tropes, themes, whatever.
Be realistic about length. If it takes you six months to write a 5k fic, that's totally fine! But it’s probably a bad idea to offer 50k, given that you will need have it done by the December 31st deadline. No one will be upset if inspiration runs away with you and you end up writing far MORE than promised. But we (and your bidder) will expect you to hit whatever word count you choose as a minimum.
If you're offering fan labor:
Unlike fanfiction writers, you should seriously consider using the “Any Fandom” option! If you're just offering general beta services for a medium-to-large fandom, there will probably be plenty of interest just from that fandom. However, if you're offering up your specialized knowledge as a paramedic or culture-picking for a country that not many AUs are set in, consider whether you'd be willing to help with a fic from an unfamiliar fandom. Remember that you'd just be looking at the topic you're knowledgeable about, and wouldn't be expected to know characterization, etc. There might not be anyone in your fandom who happens to be looking for insight into the emergency room right now, but you might just make someone's day in a fandom you've never heard of!
Be realistic about what skills/experiences you can -pick for. We don’t require proof of how qualified you are to -pick for a certain topic; we trust you! But there is, for example, a difference between being familiar with a country’s culture because you consume a lot of content from that country, and being familiar with that country’s culture because you have lived there and experienced it yourself. Stick to subjects you have lots of real-world experience with.
There is a space to let bidders know exactly how much and what type of experience you have. You can put things like “bachelor’s degree in [subject]”, “native [language] speaker”, “[x] years of experience doing [hobby/job]”, or anything else you can think of that will help potential bidders understand how you can help them.
If you're offering art, videos, or podfic:
The “Any Fandom” option is a bit of a toss-up here. It's useful for many people in these categories, who are willing to look at references, sort through clips, or read fanfiction for fandoms they've never heard of. And, like with fan labor, you might be making someone's day who's in a tiny fandom with no podfic, for example! Unlike written fanworks, a lot of people do look through the “Any Fandom” tags for these categories. However, be realistic about what you are willing to do. If you know your motivation is tied to the fandom, or you're really not confident in your ability to do work based on things you're not familiar with, don't feel obligated to put “Any Fandom”! It's just something to consider.
Be specific about what exactly you're offering. We give some options for artists like painting/drawing, moodboard, etc, but feel free to give more detail than that. The more the bidders know about what they can expect to get, the more confident they'll be about bidding.
If you're offering an “other” type fanwork:
Make sure it really belongs in “other.” Fanwork offers in the “other” tag don’t show up when people search any of the other tags. This category is really useful for truly unusual offerings that really don’t fit anywhere else, such as digital typesetting of a written fanwork, or a guest spot on someone’s podcast (both of which we’ve had, from time to time, in past years!) But if you think that your offering might catch the eye of a potential bidder who is browsing through the “written fanwork” or “fan art” tag, you are probably better off signing up in that category, and then using the “other” subtag.

Mass tag replacer
You can find all your posts tagged with specific tag or tags, replace those tags or delete them, see the count of posts with them.
Tip: click on the filter button for additional options like including queue/drafts, case sensitive search or deleting tags:
Click on “help” for more tricks, e.g. appending or ordering tags. You can also easily fix a typo with this (find tag ‘atr’, replace with ‘art’).
Warn: it breaks sometimes lmao (at least it did when I tried to change tags on over 4k posts at once. Still managed to do it with a few tries)

Find your tags
1) Most common tags - go to your blog’s archive (FYI you can see someone else’s tag counts in their blog’s archive as well)
2) All tags - see prompts while adding tags in Mass Post Editor:

Explanation: for you to be able to see the prompts in the previous step they have to be fetched from the server. Tumblr dot com just injects all of your tags to the html sent to your browser, then searches this tag list while you’re typing in the box above. You can extract them from there.
Short version: search for ‘tags_to_add’ in html
Longer version:
Hit F12 (or whatever will open devtools in your browser)
Open Elements tab
Search for ‘tags_to_add’ (ctrl+f)
Right-click to copy the element
Paste to your preferred text editor, delete noise and you’re done 🎉
Bonus: turn this messy list into an excel sheet with filters and sorting
Goal:
Let’s get to it.
1) Paste the html element with tags to a preferred editor (I’ll use the simplest Windows editor for your convenience but anything with the option to replace characters works)
2) Delete everything except the list of tags (beginning and end)
3) Replace the delimiter (the thingy that separates the tags) for something that is not present inside the tags, I’ll choose #. Hit ctrl+h or choose Edit->Replace in the menu:
4) Convert unicode hexes to ascii e.g. \x3e to > (to have :> instead of :\x3e). I used this online converter
5) Copy the converted text and paste to a cell in excel. Then go by this:
Data->Text to columns
Delimited -> Next
Other: # -> Finish
Select the whole row and copy
Paste options: Transpose to another cell, e.g. A2
Delete the first row and write ‘Tags’ as the header in A1
Data->Filter for the column with tags
For the record - I’m not an excel expert so this may be a roundabout way.
The end 😬 Now you can sort, filter or whatever you like.
