why do people think that taylor can’t sing like. cmon now
i think that a lot of people think that being able to belt = being a good singer and that that’s the only qualifier. and don’t get me wrong, being able to belt is a great talent to possess but i don’t think that it’s the only qualifier for a good vocalist. a lot of ppl who grew up with vocalists like mariah carey, kelly clarkson, christina aguilera on the radio, those power voices, measure all other female vocalists beside them tbh, and then dismiss other types of vocalists like taylor, or billie eilish or a third example that isn’t coming to mind rn lol

Taylor’s lower register on “ivy” is just so gorgeous and I think we should appreciate it more.

there’s something absolutely wild about seeing Taylor and Justin Vernon sing exile live in concert for the first time together, as if that song isn’t one that only existed in my mind in a forested mythical landscape that was foggy and dreamlike and definitely not a part of this real world, no way

not that i don't love the spoken word versions florence did of some of the dance fever songs but can you imagine if she did the rest of them?? i already can't bring myself to talk along with her in king because i feel literally hypnotized into listening to her the impact of her saying demon daddy in choreomania or honestly all of dream girl evil would probably kill me

I love how often Taylor’s lower register appears on the 1989 vault tracks.

I’ll never get over how you can hear her smiling and even smirking in karma, it’s so gratifying and perfect
