Well.. for as irritated as he was by her transgression, he was loathe to admit he was honestly a little impressed with her sheer knack for stealth. He'd have to keep an eye on this one. He stares at her silently for a few moments as she peers back up at him, still kind of crouched as she'd been before... and, rather casually, he reaches down, and gloved fingers slip over the back of her hand, cupping it before turning it over palm-side up. "... What was it you managed to take from me... hm?" He murmurs in an oddly soft voice. A little curious, if not silently annoyed that he'd let himself be so distracted that he'd allowed her the opportunity to try to rob him. With his thumb, he gingerly pries open her fingers, revealing the rose-shaped silver charm, an amethyst colored gem within the fabricated petals. It was an enchanted item he'd slipped into his pocket, intent on placing elsewhere in his studies later... for future use, likely. The demon cants his head slightly before looking back to her, gaze trained on hers as he slowly pinches the item from her palm. "Hmph. Fair warning, little mouse..?" The demon's smooth baritone hums out as he pockets the charm once more-- this time dropping it into the breast pocket of his suit jacket. "--All items in my stock are hexed until purchased. Consider it... a karmic security system." He lets out a dry chuckle, low in his throat. Even if he was acting calm and civil, it's evident by his tone that he was at least a bit displeased with her behavior... though not quite enough to kick her out or anything. He does, after all, deal with far worse on a daily basis.
