I know a lot of people are thinking of Dick just giving up after Jason’s potential death and how Tim’s actions might hurt Dick but… I can’t be the only one who thinks that Dick would just straight up kidnap his one remaining chick? That Jason “leaving the nest” was what lead to his death and so the nestling HAS TO STAY IN THE NEST. (Bonus: this is how Bruce realizes Tim’s parents are always gone. After a month where Tim stayed to try and help Talon while Bruce struggles between “kidnapping is wrong and this isn’t healthy” and “both my kids are in the nest and staying safe there” Bruce realizes that no one has come looking for his smallest bird. But honestly, Bruce is probably too in his head and grief right then to notice. And really wants Tim to stay so much that he doesn’t let himself look to closely at anything that might take him away. Also, if he came back and Tim wasn’t there/went home, he’d have a panic attack. Because Jason left too.)
Hmmmm yes that is also a very real possibility! Dick would still probably be near catatonic and running mostly on instincts for a long while, but one of those instincts would definitely include “protect the last surviving hatchling” 🥺🥺🥺
Tim, the precious bean, is also grieving though and all the aggressive cuddling helps a lot. And he learns his lesson about leaving Dick’s sight pretty quickly when he leaves the nest for a hot minute to get some water and a few seconds later there’s just— a very inhuman shriek echoing throughout the manor. 🦉
OH MY GOD!?!?!?!? Also the date seems really specific so I'm wondering if the no-destiel contract expires on december 31th, 2024 so that the network finally frees them from the snipers, and jensen can finally do what he wants as he intended when he bought the rights. Like... when he wanted to buy the rights they said "okay, but there can be no canonical destiel acknowledgment or reciprocation for 5 years after the show ends, to make sure we continue making money with the streaming, dvds and merchandise for at least that long."
