Prompt #65
“You can’t be serious right? You want to fight me just because I took down your favorite bakery shop?!” The villain exclaimed in disbelief, their jaw wide open.
The hero didn’t falter, frowning with their eyebrows and lips. “It had the best banana bread! You can’t just do that and not expect me to come find your ass!” The hero said, defensively.
The villain couldn’t help but find it cute, as they let out a laugh. “How about I promise to buy you the best bakery shop in the world?”
The hero took a step forward. “It doesn’t matter. I want the one that you destroyed.”
“I didn’t know.” The villain sighed, feeling like helpless parent that had thrown an old toy of their child, and now the child wanted it back.
The hero jabbed their finger to the villain’s chest, squinting their eyes. “You pay the owner to build it back, and I won’t fight you.” They demanded, staring daggers into the villain’s eyes.
“Fine.” The villain mumbled, after thinking for a second.
“Fine?” The hero questioned, not being able to believe the villain’s words.
The villain nodded. “Yes, fine.”
“You promise?” The hero asked, smiling slightly, as their hand smoothed over the villain’s chest.
“Yes, I promise, hero.” The villain smiled reluctantly as well.
And they indeed did help the owner rebuild the shop, an even bigger one just to see that gleaming smile on the hero’s face when they suggested it.
Oh, and they also had many dates in the shop.

“You like it.”
The hero stops dead in their tracks, bearing their teeth. “What?”
“You like my attention,” the supervillain coolly drawls, a smirk teasing the corner of their lip. “You like that I have such a special little interest in you. That I’m possessive of you.”
The hero sucks in a sharp breath, taking a few cautious steps backwards. Their stomach tingles in what they imagine, or hope, is dread.
“You don’t think I see the excitement in your eyes when I say that you’re mine? When I say I’ll do what it takes to take you away from your precious allies?” The supervillain tilts their head, and their intense gaze makes the hero tense.
“I see the way it makes you shiver, Hero,” they whisper. “You like it.”

Prompt 427
“You don’t have to impress me.” The hero interrupted the villain’s speech. “I already think you’re amazing – you don’t need to tell me.”
The villain’s mouth went dry.
The hero sighed and looked at them with guileless eyes. “Hasn’t anyone ever loved you without convincing?”

Prompt #23
Superhero scowled at the sight before them. Hero and Sidekick have been on Hero’s phone for the past three contemplating on how to reply to Villain.
“You know, when I was your age, we relied on our wit and personality to be able to ‘get with’ our desired partner. We didn’t have hours to decide what to say nor did we have the internet to guide us though what response might imply what,” Superhero lectured the younger crime-fighters.
Sidekick glanced up and remarked, “That’s because you had other resources to look to. Like Moses and the Beatles.”
“Besides,” Hero drawled, “if you were so keen on having face-to-face conversations with your potential other, why don’t you suck it up and ask Mentor out?”
Superhero’s cheeks warmed. “That’s- That’s different.” Hero let out a ‘mhm’, while Sidekick snickered beside them.
“I swear to god, you both spend half the energy you put into this into your work and there wouldn’t be any villains left in the city,” Superhero murmured.
Hero let out a tsk. “Priorities, Superhero. Priorities.”

What are some pieces of Villain dialogue that make your brain go BRRRR? (Add to my list)
-"I'm growing tired of this game, little mouse."
-"Oh, I love it when you drop to your knees and beg."
-"That's all it takes to shut you up, huh? Close quarters?"
-"I've got you cornered. Now, are you going to do as I say?"
-"Don't struggle, you'll only make it worse for yourself."
-"I won't let them hurt you again. That's my job."
-"What happened to you?"
-"You think I broke you? Darling, I bent you. I could do so much worse."
-"Make no mistake, I won't save you a second time."
-"If you're so eager to see what pain tastes like, then let me show you."
-"That's it. Obey."
-"You've really gotten yourself into a bit of a sticky situation here, haven't you?"
And my personal favorite,
-"Tell me who did this to you. Now."

"Drink this and don't argue with me."
Villan handed Hero the cup. Hero compiled, letting the warm liquid down his throat.
"Now let me see your wounds."
Hero shifted in his seat to allow Villan access to his back.
Hero felt Villans hands tracing the incision on his back.
"Does it hurt when I do this?" Villans hands pressed onto the wound.
Hero hissed. "Yes," He rasped.
"You'll be bedridden for a few days," Villan mumbled.
Hero turned to Villan. "We don't have a few days,"
"Supervillan is still out there, and I need to stop him."
Villan huffed. "Not in the condition your in,"
"You can barely stand, let alone fight Supervillan."
"Oh, and who will take care of me until then?" Hero remarked.
"I will." Villan smiled.
Hero narrowed his eyes. "You'll posion me,"
Villan laughed. "And you can't do anything about it. " He winked.
Villan helped Hero back onto the comforter.
"Now go to sleep before I actually "hurt " you." Villan chuckled.
Hero grimaced. "You'll smuther me with blankets?"
"Wouldn't dream of it, Hero."
Hero felt his stomach flip. Villan was up out of the room before he could see the flush creeping up Heros face.

Hero's realization
i really like when the moment the hero injures the villain fatally is followed by a realization that they were just a manipulated victim
then the hero decides to take villain with them and be their caretaker
bonus points if hero and villain had been enemies since basically forever and hero realizes that behind that cocky attitude was the shell of a vulnerable person
bonus bonus points if they take a moment to reflect on said discovery and remember tiny details of villain's behavior in fights that seemed peculiar to hero but that they had dismissed easily
and now they realize they missed all of villain's cries for help

“Oh.” Villain wipes the grit off their face. “You’re not good.”
“The good ones are dead. You killed them.”
“Here for righteous anger then, are you?”
“Except I’m not righteous, as you’ve said, I’m not good. I’m not just. I am here for vengeance, and I want your head.”

Exhausted Hero
*~*~*~*~*
“Wait…”
It wasn’t the word that caused the Villain pause. It was the desperation behind it. The rain was hammering down against the fire escape outside, Villain’s hand still holding the window up. A small hand was clutching the fabric of their hoodie and Villain was left frozen like this.
They turned their head over their shoulder to see Hero. Head bowed, eyes drawn, focused on their hand in Villain’s jumper as if they didn’t quite expect it themselves.
“Yes Hero?” Villain asked, voice gentle.
Hero licked their dry lips, eyes lifting to Villain’s, looking at them through their fringe. It cast the shadows in Hero’s sockets, exposing every line, every bag under them. And they were wet with unshed tears that seemed too much for Hero to shed. Like if they did they would crumble to dust.
“Please… stay. I— I haven’t slept…” Hero whispered, voice barely audible, and loud at the same time. Loud in telling Villain how desperate they must have been to ask Villain for help. To stay? To help them? To show this vulnerability. This weakness.
It told Villain everything they needed to know.
Villain shut the window. It was the best night’s sleep Hero’s had in weeks.

Writing Prompt 87
Hero focused on the eyes above them - bright and still so passionate, even as the face they were on covered itself in worry lines that Hero wanted to rub away.
They kept their arm wrapped around their stomach, one hand trying to keep the blood inside while they watched Villain move around. They loosened their grip only when Villain turned around to them again, and began pushing something into their mouth as they pried Hero's hand from their own side.
Hero kept watching those eyes even as everything else went dark, until at last their mind went quiet and their own eyes couldn't stay open any longer.

prompt #63
“I hate you,” the hero whispers, the words like fire on their tongue. They cling desperately onto the villain’s shoulders, fingers winding through the fabric until they are shaking. Every touch along their body makes their skin sing.
“Is that why you’re kissing me?” the villain answers back sharply, their voice just as breathless as the hero clashes their lips together again. It’s a messy plethora of gasps and tugs of fabric, and it’s making them go dizzy with the heat. The villain draws their hands down their back, igniting that passionate hate the hero doesn’t know what to do with.
The villain’s voice is hushed against their lips. “Just once?”
The implication hangs heavy in the air, and they can barely even wrap their head around the severity of what they’re doing. But they need an outlet. They need a way to show them how passionately they hate them.
The hero nods, nipping at their bottom lip.
“Just once,” they breathe.

"End of the-"
"Line?" The hero didn't bother fighting against the ropes binding her to the train tracks. This was the third - no, second worst attempt on her life. Ever. "Are these the discount ropes from Walmart?"
"...shut up."

"I am not worth the risk." Hero said quietly, their voice a whisper. "I will only weigh you down, and cause you great pain."
"You say that, yet your flaws only define your strengths." Villain held their hand, squeezing it tightly. "You are strong. To me, you are worth everything and more."

"M' tired," Villan mumbled, face pressed into Heros shoulder. Heros palm pressed into Villans abdomen. Warm liquid coated Heros fingers. It smeared maroon against Heros shirt.
"I know." Hero agreed. He shut his eyes as the building shook. Cracks formed in the walls. The ceiling shuddered, groaning as if it would give way.
"I know."
