#heroxvillain prompt
Note
Hello!! I would like to request a part 2 (or not? more like another POV) to the protective younger sibling!sidekick snippet if you’re okay with it ^^
This time it’s hero asking henchman to meet up and henchman just panics like “omg do they know who i am?? bro im going to get my ass beat and die 😭💀” and decides to spill everything from their real identity to their bar escapades with sidekick
but in reality hero was just really glad that their younger sibling finally got a special someone so they just wanted to get to know them more and all about their relationship😭 also ofc they knew who henchman was all along, duh (their villain lover tells them literally everything)
pt. 1
“I swear, I wasn’t trying to spy on them or anything like that — at first I didn’t even know it was them and I think they still don’t know it’s me. I just kind of met them a couple of times coincidentally and I don’t know, I like them a lot, I really do. They’re so smart and like, I don’t know, so quick? Like they can keep up with my mind and I wasn’t really trying anything at first, I didn’t even think they’d like me and I was just kind of—”
“Woah, I didn’t even get to accuse you of anything.” The hero played with their pen out of habit and studied the henchman. They were certainly panicking and the hero was not going to let something this small turn into this giant thing. “I wish all my interrogations would go that way. Would make my job certainly easier…”
“Please don’t kill me,” the henchman whispered.
“Jeez. Relax. I’m not gonna kill you for dating my sibling.” The hero rolled their eyes. What exactly was their lover telling the henchman about them? That they were some sort of monster?
They definitely needed to talk to the villain. They’d danced around this subject for a while now. When the hero had found out a few weeks ago, they had wanted to talk to the henchman immediately but the villain had urged them not to rush into anything.
And they supposed the villain was right about that.
Getting into other people’s business didn’t always turn out great for the hero.
And they simply really wanted to see their lover.
“Technically, we’re not dating…”
“Well, whatever you want to call it, I can’t tell you what to do and what not to do. You’re great, so I have nothing to fear. I just wanted to get to know you a little better.” The hero worried their lip between their teeth. Maybe they had enough time to visit the villain during lunch? They let the pen spin in their hand.
“Wait…really?”
“Yeah, you’re old enough, I reckon. You can decide these things for yourself.” The hero took in a deep breath. Maybe they should review some cases first? For whatever reason, their mind kept jumping from one topic to another and they weren’t really sure if it was the coffee or them being a little more nervous than they wanted to admit.
This was their sibling’s first (potential) relationship. Clearly, they were old enough and the henchman was a great choice but the hero wondered if their sibling wanted to distance themselves now that they were older.
Whatever choice they’d make, the hero was going to support them, even if that meant they were the annoying older sibling. Maybe the villain had some advice for them.
They closed their eyes and took in a deep breath. Speculating wouldn’t get them far.
“I’m not really used to…responsibility, I guess?” The henchman stared at the hero’s desk as if they were trying to control it with their mind. Their nervousness had shifted to embarrassment and the hero didn’t want that in their office either.
“How so?”
The henchman thought about their words carefully, as if the hero was still an enemy they needed to be cautious around.
That was smart. But the hero doubted they still saw them as a threat. If they really wanted to date the hero’s sibling, they’d try everything to end up on the hero’s good side.
God, their mind was racing. They really needed to see the villain. They always managed to calm them down.
“…sometimes I feel more like a burden to the villain. They barely take me out on missions or let me help them,” they eventually said and the hero couldn’t believe how far off the henchman was with an assumption like that.
Them? A burden to the villain who protected them, shielded them as if they were their own child?
“They’re terrified of losing you,” the hero said.
“I can take care of myself. I’m not dumb.”
“They don’t think you are.” The hero clicked their pen a couple of times and doodled some hearts onto paper. The henchman seemed to be a usually quiet person but right now, a lot of frustration was set free.
It wasn’t exactly anger; it was disappointment.
“Still, I would appreciate a little more trust. I am more than capable to help them. I don’t want to do just research. One time, they nearly died because they didn’t tell me they were injured.”
“They do trust you. They’re just trying to shield you from the bad things. Believe me, I’ve tried doing that and I’ve failed,” the hero said.
“Then what am I doing wrong? I’m not a child anymore. I know how to fight.”
The hero was quiet for a moment. Apparently those doubts had manifested throughout time. The henchman felt quite worthless and couldn’t really see how much the villain actually cared about them.
How the villain made sure they were eating and drinking enough. How they called them several times a day to make sure they were okay. How they researched schools and workplaces for them all the time.
“You’re an orphan, aren’t you?” they asked as gentle as possible.
The henchman nodded. “I barely talk about it.”
“Well, the villain is an orphan as well and they were robbed of their childhood. They don’t want you to grow up as quick as they had to. That’s why they let you do…well, office work instead of getting your hands dirty. It’s more of an excuse. They want you to study people instead of fighting them.”
“…but they need me. They’re a total idiot sometimes. Last week they were clearly outnumbered and almost got themselves killed. Again.”
“Well, thank God I am here now to help them. More or less.” The hero leaned back. Most of the time, they disagreed with the villain when it came to work. But they’d obviously break a few rules to save their lover every now and then. “You need them just as much as they need you, don’t you?”
The henchman didn’t meet their eyes, so the hero continued.
“You think they don’t care and you think they’re pushing you away but that’s not true. Truth is, this isn’t all fun and games. Seeing someone you love collapse is the worst thing in the world. Losing someone close to you is an indescribable grief. Let me do the saving and the nasty work. You can guide them. Do the research and make plans. Fight my sibling occasionally…”
Suddenly, the henchman blushed.
“Oh, I…uh…”
“You’re right. You aren’t a child anymore and you can decide what you want to do with your future. But there are people who care about you and they will try to shield you from danger, no matter how old you are.” The hero stretched their limbs and suppressed a yawn. They stared at the doodles they had drawn on a few sticky notes.
They had subconsciously written the first letter of the villain’s name into the hearts.
Now, they really wanted to see their villain. They knew their lover was calculated and smart and capable but the hero needed to see that stupid smirk more than anything. All this talk about danger and death…
“Don’t worry, okay?” they asked and the henchman nodded. “If you need anything, just ask me.”
“Thank you. Really, thank you.”
The hero stared at the doodles and smiled softly.
“Don’t you have a date to go on? Or is that tomorrow?” they asked.
“Tomorrow—” The henchman was still blushing when they stood up. “I should, uh, probably go. Again, you really helped me. Thank you.”
“Anytime.”
It was safe to say that the hero and the villain had lunch together.

Hero shook their head slowly, pursing their lips as they watched the Villain pace back and forth in the room as they blabbered on about their nefarious plan to destroy the local dam, resulting in the city’s demise. Today was the day. Just to be sure everything would be executed smoothly, Villain kidnapped their arch-nemesis and forced them to watch the whole ordeal unfold before their eyes. But Hero had another plan up their sleeves.
“You sound so sure of yourself.” The hero interrupted their monologue, and Villain flashed them a small frown.
“Why wouldn’t I? I have the city’s greatest protector in my clutches, they have no one to come to their rescue.”
“And what about the heroes out of state?”
“They wouldn’t know. They’re too busy having that vacation retreat to even notice whats happening.” Villain waved a dismissive hand at their rival as they spun around to face the multitude of screens that lit up the dense room. They were projecting multiple security camera footages of the dam, which was about to be blown up in a matter of minutes.
“Plus I sabotaged all the power lines in the state, so I’m basically winning. And you’re losing!” The villain laughed to themselves, they could hardly contain their glee as they brought down their fist triumphantly. Meanwhile, Hero was sure the Villain would have to think twice.
“Hm, I dunno Villain. I wouldn’t get my hopes up that fast. Theres still a lot of things to consider before you can drown a whole city.”
Hero smirked as Villain turned around and marched towards them, towering over them while they brandish their supposed “victory” in the Hero’s face.
“And what exactly do I have to reconsider, dear Hero? What could make me change my mind about the one thing I’ve been working on for the past six months?” The foe raised an eyebrow as they questioned Hero with a stupid grin on their face. Hero tsked.
“Tonight.” Was all Hero said. Villain’s face distorted to worry.
“…you’re not actually considering-”
“I am.” Hero’s grin only grew wider as a look of horror was now bestowed on the once confident villain.
“Not only will I cancel tonight’s cuddle session, but I’ll have no problem in putting them off completely.” Hero didn’t seem as bothered by what they were saying as the Villain was, who was staring at Hero like they were a ghost.
“Y-you’re bluffing Hero, you wouldn’t be able to go a day without…” Villain faltered, their voice trailing off as they realized the look on their beloved Hero’s face remained the same. Hero was SO sure of themselves.
“It’ll be your loss Villain, not mine. So what will it be?”
For the first time in their entire career of villainy, Villain actually reconsidered putting off their evil deeds.

Prompt #73
The villain brought the hero into their arms carefully - gentle. More like a lover than the person who'd just destroyed them in a fight but the hero wouldn't have had it any other way. They settled into their defeat comfortably, more than used to it by now.
"So," the villain began, smile teasing as they carried them. "Your place or mine?"
The hero chuckled, tucking their face against their enemy's shoulder. "You say that as if you know where I live," they mused.
A beat.
The villain didn't say a word and the hero frowned because of it.
"Villain?" Nothing. "Villain, you don't actually know where I live, right?"
Silence. Long, guilty silence.
The hero turned their gaze upwards, instantly noticing the blush that coated the other's cheeks: despite their talent for mischief, they had always been a terrible liar...
"Villain," they asked, "why do you know where I live?"

“It’s awfully dangerous to be out alone so late,” the whisper made Hero freeze in their tracks. They whirled around but were only met with darkness. Squinting, there wasn’t so much as an outline, no movement within the shadows-
Warm, a palm closed around Hero’s mouth and silenced their scream. Their response wasn’t quick enough to stop the hand that coiled around their middle, arms pinned tight against their sides despite their struggles. “A pretty thing like you should really be more careful.”
It was only then that Hero recognized the voice. Lips against the shell of their ear, they flinched at Villain’s deep chuckle. The pressure on their mouth began to lessen, enough that Hero readied themselves to call out. A rough cloth stifled their cries.
Hero choked, a sweet scent filling their nostrils and setting their throat on fire. At a near instance they felt their limbs grow weak, the fight fading all too fast from their body.
“Do calm down, it’ll be over soon-”

Realizing the Villain is Right
-> requested by @aotsimp906
-> feel free to edit and adjust pronouns as you see fit
She felt like the breath had been knocked out of her.
His mind started spiraling, thinking back to all of the feelings of disgust and glory he had when fighting Villain.
Had they been the villain all along?
She could have cried if she allowed herself to. All this time, she had been fighting against Villain's every thought and action without a care in the world. She knew they were in the wrong, she had been taught that from the very beginning. But now, reflecting on everything that has happened, the idea that Villain was right weighed heavy on her chest.
He didn't understand. How could he have been so wrong about everything? Everything he thought he knew was crumbling down around him. All that stood was Villain, offering him a careful hand and a chance to right his wrongs.
Villain was right. He was right about everything and there was nothing that they could do about it.
She felt nothing but shame and betrayal. Betrayed by the people she blindly followed, and ashamed to not have noticed it sooner.
He collapsed to the floor, burying his head in his knees that were tucked close to his chest. He was embarrassed. Guilt crept into the cavity of his chest and weighed him down, squeezing at his heart with an unforgiving fist.
They needed to do something but they hadn't the slightest idea of what could be done to fix all of the things that they had helped break.

Human!hero x Vampire!villain
The cell was cold, chilling Hero to the bone as they pushed the heavy door open. Its hinges groaned loudly as it swung open, revealing a dark room still of any life. Dead silence filled the small cell, Hero’s own breathing rang loudly in their ears. A flicker of doubt ran through their head, wondering if they had broken into the wrong cell until they made out an odd shape tucked into the corner’s shadows. A shape that looked suspiciously like Villain.
They took a few tentative steps forward, their eyes slowly adjusting to the dark as they took in the scene in front of them. Villain sat propped up against the wall, scars shining brightly against their paled skin, obviously caused by silver since they have yet to heal. Their  own blood stained their skin, streaks of it painting the floor in various directions. An alarming amount of blood, enough for Villain to die if they were human.
Their chest heaved up and down feverishly despite not needing to breathe. Their eyes stayed shut as the hero approached them. Hero didn’t know if that was a good sign.
“Back again?” croaked the villain. Their voice was light despite the obvious pain laced within it. Their whole demeanor screamed calmed and laid back despite the absolute horror scene that has been made of them. “Didn’t break me enough to your liking the last time?”
Hero stood frozen. They didn’t know what to say or how to approach the villain. Their carefree facade did little to convince Hero they were okay. They could see the tension in their jawline, the  caution of every breath they took, the grimace that wanted to creep onto their face. They could have fooled anyone else, but Hero knew them too well.
“The silent treatment, huh?” said the villain. “That’s okay, the sound of your voice makes my ears bleed. I can go without the headache.”
“Villain,” Hero called.
Villain’s eyes shot open at the sound of their voice, a mixture of shock and relief danced over their features.
“Hero,” they breathed. “What are you doing here?”
Hero stepped forward, crouching down in front of the villain, their hands finding the shackles that kept Villain chained to the ground. They were thick and heavy, each link the size of Hero’s wrists. They dug dangerously into the villain’s own wrists, threatening to cut into the skin.
“I’m breaking you out of here,” said Hero. They gave the chains an experimental tug, letting go with a wince at the pained hiss that left Villain’s mouth.
“My knight in shining armor?” asked Villain. “That’s sweet.”
They noticed the light blush that dusted over the Hero’s cheeks, visible to them even in the dark. A groan slipped past their lips as the hero continued to feel around the chains. “But it’ll be safer for you if you leave. You know better than I do how unpredictable your precious Superhero is.”
Hero tightened their grip on the chains, opting for trying to pull them out of the floor. “That’s all the more reason why I need to get you out of here before you die.”
“Awe, you care,” cooed Villain, a small smirk made its way to their face. They let out a series of fleeting gasps as Hero pulled on the chains once again.
They gripped onto Hero’s arm, to prevent them from pulling again. Their soft skin, warm to the touch and thrumming with life. Their pulse beating rapidly below Villain’s thumb, their blood running through their veins. Their sweet scent filtering through their nose. Villain bit their lip, aching for a bite.
"When's the last time you fed? How long?" asked Hero. And Villain didn't know the answer, couldn't even tell Hero how long Superhero has had them here. The days, weeks, months, all blurred together in an endless cycle with no clear beginning or end.
Hero huffed a sigh, displeased with the lack of response. They shuffled closer to Villain, hands tugging at the collar of their own shirt which earned a light chuckle from Villain.
“What are you doing?” they asked.
“What does it look like I’m doing? Come here and drink my blood.”
Hero shuffled closer, a leg tossed over one of the villain’s. The scene almost looked strangely intimate, if it weren’t for the blood that surrounded them and the deathly look on the Villain’s face. Hero wasn’t sure how long Villain had left to live, but they were certain that they were the criminal’s only hope right now.
“Hero, I’m starving,” said Villain. “If you let me drink your blood, I’ll likely kill you.”
Despite their words, they pulled Hero closer, their chains rattling loudly against the floor. They inhaled deeply, the hero’s intoxicating scent flooding their senses. It was heavenly, Villain’s favorite scent.
Hero couldn’t help the small scoff that climbed up their throat. “Since when did you care whether I live or die? Given your reputation of hunting heroes, I expected you to kill me years ago.”
Villain tilted their head to the side, their signature smirk returning to their face. “You’re an unexpected exception. But don’t worry, your last breath won’t be today. I’ll be gentle when I drink from you.”
Their hands traveled down Hero’s back, slowly making their way to their butt, but Hero was quick to divert. They pulled their hands away and pushed them against the ground with a shake of their head.
“I’m only offering you my blood.”
Villain never lost their smirk as they shook their head as well. “Of course.”
They leaned forward, wasting no time to find the hero’s pulse and sink their fangs into their neck. They heard the hero’s pained gasp, but made no move to let up. Hero’s blood was warm, fresh, heavenly on Villain’s tongue. It sated a hunger so deep within the villain, they never knew a sweeter relief. It took every little ounce of inner strength the villain had left within them to not drain Hero dry right now. They took gulp after gulp, finally taking one last drag of the hero’s blood before letting go with guttural sigh.
They slumped back against the wall of their cell, a smile spread over their lips as they felt the blood do its work and heal what was wrong with them. Their energy renewed, their wounds closing up, their mind clearing and senses more acute. They were forever grateful to the hero and their delicious blood they graciously offered them.
Their chains rattled, a weak tug at their wrists. They opened their eyes to find the hero weakly pulling at the chains keeping Villain glued to the floor. Their efforts made Villain laugh as they replaced the crime fighter's hands with their own, breaking the shackles off their wrists with ease. They let out a relieved hiss, rubbing their wrists as feeling slowly returned to their hands. They glanced at Hero once more, giving the side of their face a light pat and stood up.
“You did well, Hero.”
Hero could only nod as the villain pulled them along into a stand, their footing uneasy as they swayed. “Let’s get out of here.”
“And just where do you think that is?”
Hero whipped their head around, Superhero standing in the open doorway with their arms crossed over their chest. Hero stood still, like a deer caught the headlights. They’ve been caught. Freeing the enemy. Superhero met them with a disappointed look.
“Hero, what are you doing?”
The sound of Superhero’s voice snapped Hero into action as they quickly moved to stand in front of the villain to shield them. A huge wave of dizziness ran over them, their vision coming in and out of focus as they moved. But they stayed their ground, refusing to leave Villain’s side. They noticed the superhero’s eyes dancing over their body, focusing on their labored breathing, their tired eyes, the obvious puncture wounds on the side of their neck, the blood drying around the edges.
“Hero, are you out of your mind?” demanded Superhero. “Feeding that demon? Giving it your blood?”
“They were starving,” defended the hero. “You locked them up and waited for them to die from starvation. That violates our code of conduct, I should report you—”
“Report me? I’m doing the world a favor, keeping that thing locked up.” Superhero placed their hands on their hips, fingers brushing over the stake they had tucked into their belt. They gave Villain a look filled with a mixture of disgust and fear before scolding the hero once more.
“It’s a demon, a bloodsucking parasite who will stop at nothing to drink away the entire world’s population,” they said. “Demons like this one are always hungry. And you willingly gave it your blood. It knows what you taste like now and will cling to you like a leech. It won’t stop until it’s taken every last drop of blood from your body.”
“If you want to survive at all, you need to kill it now.” Superhero tossed their stake at Hero, Hero catching it clumsily as the large amount of blood Villain took from them delayed their reaction time. They simply looked at the silver weapon before meeting Superhero’s eyes.
“I’m not killing Villain,” they said. “I’m not like you, I don’t kill people.”
Superhero scoffed, loudly and dramatically. “Listen to you, that demon has you wrapped around its finger. Its charming words and pretty face has you throwing away the very core of your beliefs. It’s not human, it’s not people. Killing it is what’s good for the world.”
Hero’s chest was heavy with disgust at their superior’s constant insistence of calling Villain an ‘it’. They were talking circles around each other. It almost felt like Superhero was a parent scolding a stubborn child, Hero refused to let Superhero win this argument.
“I’m not killing them.”
“You make a poor excuse of a vampire hunter then,” said Superhero. “If you’re so quick to defend the very reason we even need heroes in the first place. Need I remind you, this monster has killed countless humans. Countless heroes. You shouldn't feel sympathy for them, and definitely shouldn't spare their life.”
Hero simply shook their head, reiterating that they don’t kill people and call it heroism. Superhero’s face slowly morphed from one of disappointment to fear the more they stared each other down.
“Hero, you’re making a mistake,” they said. Their voice wavered as they spoke, their eyes locked onto the villain with a fearful gaze. “Villain is not someone you should be protecting.”
Superhero took a step forward, their arm outstretched for the hero. But Villain was faster. At a speed higher than Hero could follow with their eyes, Villain had moved to stand between the two heroes with Hero’s stake in their hand. A blink of an eye was all it took and Superhero was on the ground, Hero’s stake plunged deep into their neck.
Hero, too stunned to speak, stared at Villain as they turned back to face them, a wicked grin plastered on the criminal’s face. They pulled Hero close to them with ease, securing their arms tightly around their waist.
“I really must thank you, Hero,” said the villain. “Superhero was no easy feat. They’ve been on my list for years now.”
It began to click together. “This was all just a plan to kill Superhero?” asked Hero.
“Of course,” Villain’s hand came up to lightly caress Hero’s face, a shock going down their spine from the tender touch. “And you played your part out perfectly.”
“Played my part?” Hero asked. Villain nodded, their face so close to Hero’s, their breath fanned over their face. “You knew I would come save you.”
“Was counting on it. We make a pretty good team, you and I.” Something in Villain’s eyes changed, an idea coming to them. A wonderful idea that left Villain feeling almost giddy at the prospect.
“Why don’t we do just that? Become a team. We can reign terror on the world together, kill heroes together. We’ll be the Bonnie and Clyde of the twenty-first century. Only more dangerous. And more powerful.”
Hero glanced between the villain’s hopeful gaze to the dead superhero on the ground. The superhero they inadvertently helped Villain kill. Bile rose at the back of their throat at Villain’s plan, what they were asking. They wanted Hero to turn their back on the very core of their being. Do evil instead of fight it.
They glanced at the villain once more, mouth opened to speak. But before they could usher out a single syllable, they lost consciousness, the exhaustion from blood loss finally catching up to them.
Villain grinned.

No. 47
////
Hero only wakes in times of crisis and will not sleep until the problem is resolved. Hero and Villain teamed up to vanquish Villain and they win, but Hero is still awake.
////
“Goodnight,” Villain murmured.
The statement was perfunctory—they’d spoken it to Hero almost every night throughout war, but it was different now. Back then, he’d said it while pushing aside a fold of their tent with his arm. Hero would nod at him from across a candlelit table, still poring over maps and penning down strategy, and Villain would know, without a doubt, that he would find Hero in the same place the following morning.
However, they occupied Supervillain’s castle now. Hero reviewed charters and laws instead of war plans.
“You can rest,” Villain offered, eyeing the papers in Hero’s hand.
Hero glanced up at Villain. From his lifted pen, a bead of ink dripped, oozing darkly onto the topmost page.
“I need to see the city settled before…I rest.”
“No, I didn’t mean that kind of rest. I just meant,” Villain gestured in the air, leaning his temple into the doorframe, “you can relax now. I don’t know when you have to go, but I thought, maybe, you could enjoy the peace for a while.”
“I am not made for peace, [Villain].” Hero lifted the paper before the stain could seep through and set it aside. “I will have my rest soon. And this work, it is of no consequence to me.”
“You’re exhausted, [Hero].” Ever since they’d vanquished Supervillain, Hero’s power had flagged. His tireless facade waned into shaking hands and short breaths; the only work he could manage anymore was desk work. And so they’d labored side by side, discussing edicts and decrees. “I think—I think you’ve needed to rest for a long time now.”
Hero stared down at his ink-stained fingers. “There are things I need to do.”
“I am quite capable of running this city. You don’t have to worry about that.”
“I know you are capable, [Villain].” Hero sighed. “By far, you are the most honorable man I have met in all my waking hours.”
At that, Villain shoved himself off the doorframe. “Then, why? Why do you insist on wasting away in this office?”
“The [magic] let’s me stay as long as there is something required of me.” Hero splayed his hand over the papers. “I have to work to stay awake. This is all I can do.”
“Then tell your [magic] that I need you.” Villain rounded Hero’s desk. “Tell it that I need you to rest, and that I need you with me.”
Hero shrunk back in his chair as Villain loomed over him. “The [magic] does not work so frivolously. You can not simply request it—”
Villain yanked Hero up by his lapel and tugged him out of the room. “I will not have you die reading over grain reports.”
“Where,” Hero winced, his lungs burning with each step, “where are you taking me?”
“To my room. To sleep.”
“[Villain],” Hero hissed, “I am not going to wake up.”
“You will.” Villain insisted, slowing as he heard the cramped hitch in Hero’s breath. He shifted his hand down to his forearm and clasped Hero’s terribly thin wrist. “And if you don’t, I will find a way to wake you.”
“You do not have my permission to start another apocalypse.”
“I wasn’t—,” Villain turned to catch the glimmer in Hero’s eye, “don’t joke with me about this, [Hero.] You shouldn’t have to continue saving the world if you don’t want to. You shouldn’t have to wake up every other century and fight for every second you’re conscious.”
As Hero opened his mouth to reply, Villain gave him a look and pushed him into his drawing room. He unpinned Hero’s cuff links and pulled off his overcoat before doing the same to himself.
“Even if I were to sleep and find myself in an era eons from now,” Hero proclaimed as Villain unbuttoned his vest, “I would remember you.”
In the wan light, Villain floated like a phantom, a shadowed slip of skin and silk, but Hero could still see his smile in the shadowed wrinkles around his eyes and in the gleam of his teeth.
“And I would recall you for the many years until my death.”
////
“I’ve never fallen asleep on purpose before.” Hero whispered.
Villain shifted closer and pressed his forehead into Hero’s shoulder. He reached over to settle his palm over Hero’s sternum. “Close your eyes.”
“Well, I understand that.” Hero protested.
“Close them, [Hero.]” Villain flattened his fingers and Hero took a deep, shuddering breath. As he relaxed, he set his hand overtop of Villain’s and squeezed his knuckles.
“I want to wake up tomorrow.”
“I will wake you.”
“If I don’t, I want to say—”
“Goodnight, [Hero].”

"Drink this and don't argue with me."
Villan handed Hero the cup. Hero compiled, letting the warm liquid down his throat.
"Now let me see your wounds."
Hero shifted in his seat to allow Villan access to his back.
Hero felt Villans hands tracing the incision on his back.
"Does it hurt when I do this?" Villans hands pressed onto the wound.
Hero hissed. "Yes," He rasped.
"You'll be bedridden for a few days," Villan mumbled.
Hero turned to Villan. "We don't have a few days,"
"Supervillan is still out there, and I need to stop him."
Villan huffed. "Not in the condition your in,"
"You can barely stand, let alone fight Supervillan."
"Oh, and who will take care of me until then?" Hero remarked.
"I will." Villan smiled.
Hero narrowed his eyes. "You'll posion me,"
Villan laughed. "And you can't do anything about it. " He winked.
Villan helped Hero back onto the comforter.
"Now go to sleep before I actually "hurt " you." Villan chuckled.
Hero grimaced. "You'll smuther me with blankets?"
"Wouldn't dream of it, Hero."
Hero felt his stomach flip. Villan was up out of the room before he could see the flush creeping up Heros face.

“You…” The tears in the hero’s eyes blurred their vision and their mind alike. Their hand shook around the blade as they tried to let their own weight the work, instead of actively pushing it into the villain’s chest.
But the villain was just as determined as always, just as strong. None of them were happy about the situation. The hero saw it in their eyes.
Why did it have to come to this?
“I’m sorry,” the villain whispered and the hero could feel how their resistance weakened. Their weapon was already slicing up the villain’s suit.
For the first time, the hero didn’t have a plan. Their mind was full of rage and urged them to finish the job.
With the villain out of the picture, these feelings would go away. They would be able to sleep at night, they would be able to move on and get into a relationship. They wouldn’t dread the hours.
But they couldn’t. They couldn’t kill them, no matter how intense their pain was. They couldn’t kill this person who had shared a bed with them. Who had cared for them. Who had loved them.
Right before the blade could cut through flesh, the hero cursed and tossed it away. Tears of rage and grief ran down their cheeks and they could barely form any words as they sat on top of the villain and broke down into a million pieces.
Their tears fell onto the villain’s chest as their trembling fingers clawed at the villain’s suit. They wanted to make them suffer, they wanted to make them feel the kind of pain that they had experienced, that they were still going through.
But the hero knew violence wouldn’t ease their mind.
“Leave,” the hero said eventually. Their voice was shaking. “You have to leave.”
“Please, I am sorry. I didn’t lie about my feelings for you.” The villain’s voice was calm and calculated as so often but the hero could hear the little bit of desperation that came through.
“No, you have to leave.” The hero dried their tears with their sleeves. It was as if their heartstrings snapped. That kind of pain was completely different from all the wounds the hero was used to. Torn flesh and broken bones — all of that didn’t even come close to what they were feeling now.
“I am sorry, okay? I am sorry for lying. I’ve fallen for you, I cannot help it. I wasn’t supposed to but I did and I — I think about you and I miss you and it wasn’t supposed to be like this, okay!?” The hero shook their head.
“Leave the city,” they said. They had no other choice.
“No,” the villain said. Their eyes widened and instead of their calm demeanour, they panicked. They sat up and the hero stood up, ready to go. For the umpteenth time, their heart squeezed together until blood dropped. “I won’t leave you a second time. I don’t care if you stab me to death or poison me or beat me. I don’t care if you torture me. I won’t go. I will stay with you this time. I will make it up to you. Whatever you want. Tell me what to do and I will obey.”
“I don’t want you here,” the hero answered. “If you love me, you’ll be gone by tomorrow. You will never come back.”
“No, please.” The villain stood up and reached for the hero. Their hands found the hero’s forearms and for a second, the hero was back in their bedroom, waking up next to them. They were stitching up each other’s wounds. They were kissing at the kitchen table.
The hero pushed them away.
“You’re not welcome here anymore.”
“You know as well as I that we belong together,” the villain said. Despite the shock in their eyes, they seemingly tried to keep it together. To use reason instead of emotions. The hero cursed themselves. Even when they hated them, they knew them. They knew every single habit, every single detail. “This will haunt you.”
“You already do.” The hero paused and took one last look at the villain. “Don’t you ever come back.”

Prompt #83
"Stop pacing," the villain said.
"I'm anxious," the hero replied. Snapped, even.
They walked, turned, walked, turned. It was driving the villain insane.
"Stop. Pacing."
"Make me," the hero challenged. "Or, better yet, leave. No one is asking you to stay--"
The villain's hands caught onto the hero's waist and held it. They pulled the other closer without warning, reeling them in steadily until their chest was pressed tightly to their enemy's back - the hero now caught firmly within their arms.
And the silence that followed was beautiful...

It was early morning by the time someone had found Hero. They had been left to die, blood caked in their wounds and clothing soaked with dew. Left along the riverbank, Hero was curled up tightly, shivering against the morning waves that lapped at their ankles. They were barely conscious when Villain had stumbled upon them.
Hero’s first response had been to fight back. The moment Villain reached out a hand, they sprung forward, raking their nails down the Villain’s cheek. They kicked and cried out, though their voice had been worn from their throat long ago. Soon Hero could do nothing but whimper, drawing back just before they slumped into the soil.
When Hero did wake they were feverish. Villain’s attention had been drawn over the moment they heard splashing, turning to find the crime fighter thrashing in the tub. They rushed over, readying a towel as if they could dry all the puddles that now doused the tile.
“Hey, hey,” Villain placed a hand on the small Hero’s shoulder and they whirled around, eyes wide. Like a spooked animal, Hero flinched back.
“It’s alright,” Villain placed their words carefully. Surely Hero knew that they were nothing short of enemies, and any wrong move could send the crimefighter into a frenzy. Villain couldn’t risk them getting injured worse. Their history meant nothing now. Not until they fixed this. “Breathe for me okay? It’s just a bath, I’ve got to clean your wounds or they’re going to get infected.”
Once the words had sunk in, Hero settled a little. The crease in their brow had faded, though the frown didn’t leave their face. Eyes drifting down to the bath, beneath the suds, their voice shook, “You-”
“Your old clothes were in tatters. Unsalvageable.” Villain saw the way Hero tensed and was quick to reassure them, “I didn’t look- you were wrapped in a blanket up until the tub, I swear it.” They looked away, opting for the cloth they had brought along with them rather than gazing into Hero’s tired eyes.
Villain raised the cloth and Hero immediately flinched away. They remained still like that for a moment. Two gazes locked in a silent conversation. One carried fear and mistrust, while the other held a determination to heal even though they could never understand why. Villain spoke before they could think.
“I’ll be gentle. You can tell me to stop at any time, but I figured you wouldn’t want to be covered in grime forever.”
Their hand remained poised in the air while Hero met their gaze. There was something hidden within all the fear. Relief? Maybe.
Slowly, Hero nodded, scooting closer so the Villain could reach them.
While Villain wiped the blood from their wounds they were careful not to disturb any inch of the Hero’s skin. The two were caught in a deep silence, but despite everything it was comfortable. Dipping the rag into the suds of the bath, Villain came up to the Hero’s shoulders and brushed away layers of mud. Beneath the skin was pale, though not as light as it had been when they had first found the Hero. Then it had been nearly translucent, veins the same deep shade of the bruises that no soap could wash from the Hero’s skin.
With the upper half of their body clean, Villain handed off the rag to Hero. A glance passed between the two. Hero would tend to the rest of themselves while Villain fancied themself with another task.
Hero squeaked when they felt fingers along the back of their head and nearly jumped out of the tub altogether. It took Villain’s quick explanation to reassure them. “Your hair is matted,” they said. “If you leave it now, it’ll only get worse.”
They waited a moment, still. Then, in the smallest mumble.
“Okay.”
Despite their earlier shock, it was an effort not to sigh from the feeling of Villain’s hand in their hair. They were careful, gentle in ways they had never been during battle. Hero found their eyes fluttering shut, the soft pressure on their scalp a heavenly feeling. Villain worked diligently to undo every knot. They brushed through each tangle and plucked away stray leaves and mud. Hero was about to protest when Villain had stopped, before catching onto a sweet scent.
The fizzing sensation of shampoo overtook Hero, mind filling with the smell of citrus. They leaned back into Villain’s touch without thinking, humming softly in contentment.
“It’s been a while hasn’t it?”
Hero’s eyes fluttered open, “Hm?”
“Since you’ve been cared for- you’ve melted into every touch.”
That broke Hero from their stupor. They pulled away on instinct and a pink flush made its way across their cheeks. Villain however didn’t appear to care. In fact, they even looked a little disappointed to see the Hero shrink back. “I-” Hero stuttered, “I didn’t mean to-”
“Don’t apologize love.” Villain ran their nails along the Hero’s scalp, “You deserve to be cared for. When I found you-” they broke off. The soft smile on Villain’s face slipped away as their mind was filled with the picture of Hero. Bleeding. Shivering. Nearly dead along the river bank. Despite everything, Villain’s hands curled into fists.
“I’ll never let someone hurt you like that again.”
And again they fell into silence, Villain’s promise revealed and Hero left to contemplate the idea. The hushed pop of soap bubbles filled the space. Hero could feel the suds in their hair. It was nice, clean. Safe.
Deep breath in, Hero leaned back again. They felt Villain’s hand come to support the back of their head and their eyes slipped closed on instinct. Soon they felt the pressure return and with a whisper, they turned to their savior and offered a gentle smile.
“Thank you.”

Writing Prompts
Villian X Hero
༺˚ʚ White Day ɞ˚༻
Tumblr media
"Excuse me!...Excuse me"- Hero looked around frantically for an opening of space as the city was bustling with citizens everywhere. Not that it was their fault. Today was an extremely important day for all! It was White Day. The day in which you reciprocate your gift to a loved one.
Hero let out an exhausted sigh as she managed to slip into a cafe, narrowly escaping the sea of people. Looking around, Hero noticed it was rather busy inside as well, though nothing like outside. Standing in line, Hero took note of the couples, or those who seemed to be a couple. There had to be at least twenty-seven of them, if not more. Each one showing their affection for one another. Teddy bears and stuffies littered tables, while baskets of confections and other gifts decorated the floor.
Now at the front of the line, Hero placed her usual order. "Creamed Hazel Almond Latte, please...add caramel". Even the employees seemed fairly delighted. Not that they were normally boring or sad- no, they were usually cheerful. However, today they were right along with the whole Cafe's mood.
"Ooh...extra caramel, huh"? The cashier, chimed.
"Y-yeah.." Hero muttered.
"Today's either a rough day, or...you're getting some noteworthy thrill soon"?
"No Maverick, i'm not getting a thrill. Today is okie...but quite busy".
"Oh? Well, maybe your lover will brighten your day today. It is White Day after all"! Maverick beamed.
"Hahaha! No, I don't have a lover. I'm Hero-it would probably be too dangerous for anyone to be with me". Hero suddenly felt out of place. Like she didn't belong there. Couples were everywhere. Swarming the city like love bugs.
Maverick gave Hero a pensive look before snapping out of thought. "Ah, well, you've got your appetizing latte. It's got plenty of love. If that's not enough, I'm here"~ Maverick handed Hero her order, giving a wink and a bright, keen, smile.
"Mm, I'll keep you in mind" Hero giggled. Walking outside, Hero took one last glimpse at the couples inside, before exiting the Cafe. "Haa..It was getting kind of stuffy in there". Hero joined in the traffic of people, passing by couple after couple.
༺˚ʚ ɞ˚༻
"Wait- Wait! Taxi! Taxi!" Hero panted, catching her breath, as she waved down a taxi. Why did today have to be so difficult? Hero had previously stopped at the Mall, looking for some clothing. Unfortunately, it was brimming with lovers everywhere. The majority seemed to want to take their time in the affairs, while others seemed a bit competitive to get their significant other something before any else got their hands on it. Thankfully, no one caused much of a ruckus. However, that did not spare Hero the shoving and bumping into on accord to hasty couples going on about their day.
Regain her posture, Hero watched as the taxi pulled over, before getting in. "Thank you, sir"! The man seemed to be in his mid twenties and in quite the good mood. More than likely it was the days holiday. Everyone seemed to be sporting well.
"My pleasure, young lady. Where to?"
"Bier Terminal, please".
Hero took the moment to breathe, sitting back. 'Goodness, today's been busy for sure'. Hero quickly whipped out her phone, checking for messages. 'Thank God! No missed calls or messages. Seems like even the Agency is celebrating today. Good for them; Teammates, Superhero, and commander all posted pictures of themselves enjoying the day. There haven't been any crime reports today as well'.
The taxi came to a sudden stop, alarming Hero. Horns were blaring and honking all around. "W-what happened"?
"Sorry miss, seems like everyone's busy today. Quite a lot of traffic ahead of me".
Looking ahead, Hero saw taxis and other vehicles packed, stretching street after street. "Oh no...is there another way"?
"If I could pick the taxi up and move it, trust me I would, otherwise, we're stuck here, apologies". The man gave a small frown, indicating his sorrow.
Hero stuck her head out of the window, looking around frantically for another way. Opening the door was definitely going to hit another car, and getting another taxi was out of the question. Maybe it would not be too long? "How long do you think before traffic starts to move"?
"From the looks of it... possibly an hour or two"?
"I can't do that." Hero quickly handed the driver a wad of cash. "keep the change! Have a lovely day"! Hero called out giving a smile. Letting her window down, Hero squeezed through the opening, hearing a tear here and there. Running through the traffic, squeezing through vehicle after vehicle, Hero ran as fast as she could.
༺˚ʚ ɞ˚༻
Hero ran inside the terminal, finally making it. It was also crammed. 'Why! Why! This is insanity'! Hero started to make her way through the crowd, giving her apologies along the way. "Excuse me! S-sorry". Most people ignored her, others simply gave a look, before turning back to their own conversations and what not.
"I'm not going to make it"!! 'please no! I have to try'! Hero continued to push through as politely and quick as she could, finally making it though, with a fall along the way. "Agh"! Quickly getting up, Hero called out for the train, as it's doors were closing. "Wait! Please wait"!! Making it by the jump, the doors closed right behind Hero. The train was also cramped tight. To add ok, Hero was tired, in pain, and sweaty. Her hated it. She felt exhausted and wanted the day to end.
Taking a step forward, Hero was stopped by a tug on her skirt. "What the"? Hero looked back to see the hem of her skirt was caught in between the doors of the train. "you've got to be kidding me.." Hero tried to pull and tug on it, but to no avail did it come out. Taking defeat, Hero leaned back against the door, taking the moment to clear her mind.
Hero looked up hearing the speakers overhead, " Nier Terminal, last stop in four hours; Nier Terminal, last stop in four hours". Hero rolled her eyes, taking a hand through her hair. ' I'll be there almost at midnight '!! "This truly isn't my day is it?......I wish this train wasn't so cramped. I wish I was the only one on here".
The lights started to flicker, before the whole train went pitch black, passing through a small tunnel. After passing through, the lights came back on. To Hero's surprise there was not a single person on the train. No one, except Hero, and possibly the conductor. "Hello"? Hero looked around before her eyes landed on a man dressed in all black. His hands were behind his back, and his eyes were locked on Hero.
"Hello, Hero"~ The man cooed.
Hero recognized the voice immediately. It was Villian. "What are you doing here? Where is everyone? Are you here to start trouble..I'm not in the mood to fight you today". Hero frowned.
"I'm here for you. They're all gone, safe I assure you. They're at their designations. I'm not looking for trouble".
"Why are they gone"?
"You did wish for that did you not? I heard you".
"Oh..right. Well, what did you need me for"?
Villain pulled out a bouquet of flowers. "These are for you".
Hero scoffed. "I don't have time for games. I'm tired"
"It's no game, Hero. I mean it".
"You know this could cause a misunderstanding. Someone may say something about this".
"I don't care. Think of it as payback".
"Payback? For what"?
"A month ago exactly, you saved my life, remember? I was on the verge of death, I felt hurt, tired and exhausted. I knew no one would even think about me if I died. They'd all probably celebrate. I felt like, out of place. However, you showed up, and saved me. You could have easily let me die, or turned me in to the authorities, but instead you took me with you and helped me recover. I felt embarrassed at first, I hated it. Though, after thinking about it. I realized you were the only one who cared..who had showed me humanity".
"Villain that's just basic human decency"-
"No one else would have shown me!...thank you Hero. Thank you for saving me. For showing me mercy. For being "My Hero ".
"What are you trying to say"?
"I love you Hero".
"Stop. You can't. Not only would it be problematic but, it would be dangerous, for the both of us"!
"I'll protect you with my life".
"You do know how insane this sound, right"?
"Only the best Villain knows".
Hero remained silent.
"Will you accept me, Hero"? Villain offered the bouquet.
Hero felt a pang in her chest. She felt flustered, and confused. Hero was exhausted, yet a burning feeling in her chest was giving her a rush of adrenaline. Hero felt a hot liquid on her face. Touching her cheek, she saw tears. Today had been hard. The day had been consuming Hero. She felt completely weak and weary. Everything seemed to be going wrong for her. So...why was Villian the one to show her differently, and today out of all days? Why did he show her care, what seems like.."love".
"Today hasn't been you day, has it"? Villian gave a soft smile.
Hero couldn't take it anymore. Hero started bawling, rubbing her eyes, wiping away tear after tear. Hot tears stinging her eyes and streaming down her face. "It's not fair-it's not fair at all!" Hero choked out. "Everyone's having a wonderful day, I just wanted mine to be calm. It's been crap! Now you're coming here and making me feel this way"!!
"It's alright Hero" Villain reassured. "You don't have to worry anymore. Your day can be as calm as you want, now that I'm here".
Hero looked at Villain with puffy red eyes, tears coming to a stop. "What are you talking about"?
"I mean I'll do whatever I can to make you happy".
Hero let out a shaky sigh, shaking her head. "What about the public"?
"It's a lovely day, maybe today I've changed"?
"If that doesn't work"?
"I can live a double life".
"..Pfft!...hahaha"! Hero wiped her face feeling warm inside. "You're so sly".
Villian walked forward. "I'm glad you know me so well, love".
"Mm..how could I not, we've spent quite a few year together".
"Well then, I'd like to spend the rest of them closer with you"~ Villian chuckled, snaking his arm around Hero's waist, pulling Hero in closer.
"Really now? And what's the first thing you'd do"? Hero smirked, looking up at Villian through long lashes.
"How about a kiss"? Villain leaned down.
Hero leaned in, soft lips pressing against Villian's own. Passion growing, the kissing getting deeper and deeper. The scent of leather, and cologne clouding Hero's mind.
"Mhh, Happy White Day, my love" Villian murmured through the kiss giving a sharp fanged smile.
My apologies for the late post, loves~
