(This ended up being a lot longer an answer than I intended hoo boy sorry about that)

Hmmm, I’m not too big a shipper tbh! Especially since I really enjoy canon interactions backing my ships, so it’s hard for me to actively like any that don’t really have that going for them. There’s plenty that I see around that I think are cute, but that’s usually the extent of my thought process for them.

For ships I more actively have, I guess I like AprilxSunita! They’re very very cute and I think they have some huge meet cute energy in their first episode together, and their chemistry is genuinely adorable (plus them being featured means more April screentime which is ALWAYS a good thing.)

I also think AprilxCasey (and when I say Casey I mean our OG girl) is really good, as I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers, and I think they have a lot in common and just bounce off each other very well (not to mention this ship in other iterations of TMNT has a loooooot going for it.)

Keeping the chain going, I think RaphxCasey (again, OG Casey) is also one with a tonnnnn of potential. They have a lot of common characteristics, and considering Raph’s whole thing with Franken-Foot, I really think there’s a lot of room there for a relationship to develop. Plus, like AprilxCasey, Raph and Casey tend to have a close relationship throughout the iterations of TMNT and it would be great to see that more with these two, even if not romantically.

Actually going back to enemies to lovers, I unironically think there’s a ton going for DonniexKendra. I know a lot of people hate this ship, but I don’t and I actually think it could very easily work whether in a love-hate way or a slow burn way. There’s a lot to like here and honestly they’re good together! Kendra is legit Donnie’s type too haha (cute, but mean.)

Lastly, SplinterxDraxum is good…when done right. I really like when people take it and don’t undermine the very real trauma that Splinter has gone through. As I’ve stated a lot, I love me some enemies to lovers, so I can see the potential here. Plus lbr Draxum was down BAD for Lou Jitsu when he first saw him haha.

I think that’s the extent to what I actively like? Everything else usually falls into “aw cute” or “ehhh not for me thanks”. And before you ask YES leosagi is cute and I’ll read fics with it if the premise is appealing, but I’m afraid I need some canon interactions to establish base character dynamics before I actively ship it alas.😔 Super cute though, no hate to it or any of the other CanonxCharacter-they’ve-never-met ships, I genuinely think people should just have fun! And for what it’s worth I really do wish we got a Usagi and Leo interaction in Rise like we have in other iterations.:(

So yeah. Overall, I have a few ships I enjoy, but I fall much more in the “prefer to keep everyone to themselves and make the focus family and friendship” category.

I just think Hunter was obsessed with Willow and didn't even know it during the period from any sport in a storm to labyrinth runners. They maybe don't talk as often as they could, they're both busy and have conflicting schedules, so when they do talk, Hunter absorbs everything she says.

After roughly 3 weeks of texting (hexting? I feel like the kids would call it hexting), He knows that her favorite colour is orange, she likes her tea with extra milk and a bit of honey during winter, she likes working out to the noisiest angriest music in her playlist, her dad Gilbert is a construction witch who specialises in pottery, she used to listen to breakup songs and think about her childhood best friend (Hunter doesn't know it's Amity) and she actually has a mild pollen allergy despite being a plant witch and has to take potions for it.

He casually drops all this info piece by piece during their stay in the human realm and willows like. Well I can't not marry him. It'll have to be a winter or fall wedding to account for her allergies </3

I do think Shou genuinely doesn't know Mob's name, like why would he?? He never properly introduced himself, their only "proper" interaction was Mob saving him and one (1) singular line of dialogue at the end of S1

But if Shou were to pick up on anybody's naming convention it would be Ritsus... who doesn't really call Mob by name anyway...

So this was just a long winded way to say that one day Shou will slip up and accidentally call Mob "nii-san" the way you accidentally call your teacher "mom"

Fugo's backstory in PHF is 10x better than the anime one what the hell

#shoe reads purple haze feedback #the anime backstory was just weird so it's not difficult to make a better one but still #i really like the ''bruno had fugo join the gang because he had literally nowhere else to go'' approach #i really don't like how the anime approaches bruno inviting the other characters to join passione in general #because it frames it almost like a good thing? like ''bruno stretches his hand out and says 'join me :)' while uplifting music plays'' #for example #while the added scene where bruno invites abbacchio to the gang was a cute bruabba moment and all that it is the opposite of the point- #-the manga was making tbh. like the manga explicitly says ''abbacchio fell from grace ever since he helped a criminal and at his- #-lowest point joined the criminal gang because he had lost his sense of pride and buried his desire for justice'' #hence the anime adding the scene where bruno invites him to the gang saying ''join me- don't die bound by your past'' really makes no sense #because abbacchio joining the gang quite literally WAS him being bound by his past #anyways. phf fugo backstory good

#urusai majou #it's the videogame equivalent of 'lord of the rings would be better if it was more like game of thrones' #for the record though zelda is something I don't think could ever be adapted into a movie regardless of medium #and I'm saying that as someone who was genuinely charmed by the mario movie #I think the difference is that the mario games have a very consistent identity so like. there's a clear list of criteria there #just make it cute and colourful and not ashamed of what it is and you're golden #zelda on the other hand is a lot more personal. it's a story you're specifically supposed to insert yourself into #everyone has a different idea of who link is #it's telling that the internet can't even agree on whether or not link should have verbal dialogue. much less how he'd sound if he did #adapting it into a movie would naturally mean losing that in favour of one fixed canon version of link #which eiji aonuma has specifically said several times he doesn't want #so like. yeah somehow I'm not altogether sure there is anything to the rumours tbh #and as far as live action nintendo adaptations in general go. have you Looked at the art styles for any of these games #literally the only nintendo ips that wouldn't look straight up weird in live action are metroid and Maybe fire emblem #but again. only if it was shadow dragon or the tellius games #anything else and you'd run into the same issue of steamrolling players' choices with a fixed canon #uhg idk. ultimately it all boils down to the mentality currently floating around that live action movies are the zenith of art #and they're just. not #sometimes the ideal medium for a story is the one it was originally written in #and zelda is definitely one of those things tbh
