Who are the hostages still held by Hamas?

On October 7, 2023, 253 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped to Gaza by Hamas and gazan civilians. Since then, 105 were released in a prisioner exchange deal, 4 were released by Hamas and 3 were rescued.

However, 134 remain in captivity (4 of those were kidnapped prior to 2023). A recent investigation has concluded that more than a fifth of the hostages are dead and the fate of some other hostages remains unknown. This video explains how doctors determine which hostages are dead, based on the nature of their injury and by analyising footage and the victims' last phone calls. Additionally, during the operation in Gaza, the IDF has recovered the bodies of a few victims and returned to their families for burial.

Since I couldn't find this all in one place, I've compiled a list of: 1) hostages who are presumed alive; 2) hostaged whose death has been reported/confirmed; 3) hostages who were released or rescued. In the group of hostages presumed to be alive who haven't been released, the youngest is 1-year-old Kfir Bibas and the oldest hostage is Iraqi-born 85-year old Shlomo Mansour.

As we learn more information, I'll continue to update this post.

They need to come back home. I'm hoping for more successful rescue operations soon. Keep them in your thoughts.

Adam - I changed him a liiiitle bit (skin and some adjustment), he looks like a doll more than before haha, so cute and pretty <3 just like I concept in my head at first, a sickly-looking gothic vampire-child doll Xion - honestly I'm still thinking whether i want him to be in Paradise Prison universe or not... if he's in PP i wanted to make him the first "Adam", since his real name is also Adam. So the little Adam could be called Adam (Xion)'s child (he's 32 (in human age) btw). If he was in normal universe, I want to make him a tattoo artist in Shibuya district. Idk! Radu - he's basically the backbone of my sims haha (actually tho! My thoughts on Mumbai Police!

First of all, Prithviraj looked so hot as a cop. The uniform, moustache and smile, I am so in love with his look in the film.

Secondly, Prithviraj is so daring. He played a gay cop back in 2013. Some actors are not comfortable playing gay characters even today. This was not just a subtle hint and suggestion, here and there. There was actually a scene showing their relationship. I am so proud of being obsessed with this guy right now.

Though I felt the movie was dragging at places, but the final twist made up for everything. And what a twist it was? The film started with Antony searching for himself after memory loss. But he was literally searching for himself, the culprit.

The whole motive behind the murder was quite logical. The movie was made in 2013 and homosexuality got decriminalised only in 2018. So, he wasn't just facing a loss of reputation or employment, but possible arrest and prison time. He already was a hated cop with many enemies who wanted to destroy him. So, his intentions and desperate actions did make sense, even if they were morally wrong.

I have very mixed feelings about Antony Moses A or Rascal Moses. His actions really put me off but I can't deny he was hot. The swag, the mischievous smile, contemptible behavior for almost everyone except his friends, sister, and partner made him a complex character.

But Antony Moses B, has my heart. He was so vulnerable, especially when he found out about his closeted homosexuality. His anxiousness to get back his memory and life, his trying to manage the investigation without his memory, his occasional fumbles, everything was so heartrending.

Prithviraj played these two parts so differently. Their expressions, emotions and body language are all different. As the doctor said, they were not the same person, but two different personalities with similar skill sets. Prithvi really made me believe I was watching two separate personalities and not just a single character.

Other actors were also very convincing in their roles, especially Rahman. As Antony said Farhan was really smart. He knew Antony was the culprit and he was protecting himself. Hence, he made him bring back the investigation to proper track and finally got his 'who, how and why'.

Jayasurya was also good as Aaryan the idiotic, but endearing friend. Even though I find his behaviour of sitting in darkness while his friend was with his partner, quite creepy. His saying those mean words for his friend was so not done. Even if we excuse the behaviour as him being shocked and angry, he could have apologized instantly, instead of thinking of a grand gesture of dedicating the Gallantry Award. It could have saved his life. Sooner the apology, sooner the situation could be remedied. That's the basic rule.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie and loved the twist, the concept and the acting. I would definitely re-watch it.

Advice for Worshipping Lord Apollo

The first step in worshipping or working with any of The Theoi is to understand and connect with their domains (the areas of life and existence they rule over). Lord Apollo has numerous domains, but is primarily associated with the following:

Prophecy & Oracles

Music, Song, & Poetry

Plague, Disease, & Healing

Archery

If you (or anyone) is seeking to worship Lord Apollo, the first step would be to identify which of Lord Apollo's domains align with you and your life. As an example, I have a deep love for divination and tarot - and am also a musician. In such, it would be best and easiest for me to connect with and worship Apollo by utilizing these domains.

When worshiping Lord Apollo, consistency is key and something He values from His devotees. Whether it's once a month, once a week, or once a day - having a set schedule for your worship is something I would heavily advise.

As far as what you should do in order to worship Him - it is again important to align your worship with His domains. Pulling from my own alignments, I have found joy/success in dedicating acts of creativity to Him. I've done this for both crafts made specifically for Lord Apollo, but also for artistic projects that have nothing to do with my worship.

In my experience ,Lord Apollo is a god who values gifts and the dedication of objects. I own a kalimba and recently gifted this instrument to Him. In the context of my worship what this means is that the kalimba is always stored on my altar so that it is kept in His "house". I also, as part of this gift, made the commitment that all the music I ever play on that kalimba will be an offering to Him.

As someone who believes The Theoi are a reflection of us (just as we are a reflection of them) I would also like to acknowledge some different qualities I have found when working with Lord Apollo. He can be a jealous god and is not keen on sharing the spotlight. And while I would not categorize Him as angry or vengeful, He is quite human like in that if you do not keep your word with Him, He can be put off (and is not above giving a devotee the cold shoulder).

Additionally, it has been said in myth that Lord Apollo leaves in the winter to spend time with the Hyperborea:

"Alone among the Twelve Olympians, the Greeks venerated Apollo among the Hyperboreans, and was thought to spend his winters there amongst them." (Wikipedia)

I personally have found this to be an accurate reflection of His attendance (for lack of a better word). Starting at the Winter Solstice and ending at the Spring Equinox, I do not hold specific rights for Lord Apollo. I still call on him and honor him during my daily rituals - but I view this as more akin to writing him a letter; whereas holding a right for him is like throwing him a party.

Summary: The one where she was hurt.

She woke up with a throbbing head, feeling her mouth dry. She looked around, and after a few seconds, she realised she was in the bedroom she shared with her husband. She tried to sit up, but suddenly stabbing pain rose in her arm, making her fall onto the bed breathlessly. She tried to recall what happened, moving her hand to a place that hurt and found a bandage under her fingers. A few days ago, Ardeth and a few of his trusted men went to check on some illegal digging. Not long after it, some travellers came into their village. With one of her best friends and great warrior, Rashid, she kept an eye on them. She provided them with the help they needed and did everything to keep as much information about Medjai secret. All at once, everything went south. They took out the guns, screaming to prepare all the goods for them. She tried to talk them out, to calm the situation, but it didn't help - soon, one of them kept his gun to the head of a local girl. The chieftess' heart stopped in her chest when she tried to take her place. What the attackers didn't know, they chose the worst time they only could. By the corner of her eye, she noticed Fahran - the right-hand man of Ardeth, and that meant that they all were back. He quickly took the attacker's attention to himself as she jumped to help the girl. She hit him in the nose and took the girl in her arms, shielding her with her body. She moved them to leave this place when her eyes met the well-known irises of her husband. She smiled softly, knowing that now everything should be better. However, fate had different plans. A loud bang was heard, just like the scream of the girl next to her. She felt a burning sensation at the top of her chest. She looked down and saw the red stain start showing on her chest. The last thing she heard before she fell on the floor was Ardeth screaming her name. 

She tried to move, trying to sit against the headboard. Her tired mind noticed movement by the door, and she moved her head to the side. She looked at Farhan, who smiled at her and then shouted for his chief in Arabic. Not even a minute later, Ardeth came into the room and fell on his knees by the bed. 

"Ya Hayati*. You're awake!" He gently caressed the side of her head, and she closed her eyes at this reassuring gesture. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired… And my arm hurts." She looked up at him and noticed how worried he was. She smiled when he moved the hair away from her face and kissed her forehead. 

"Would you like to drink something?" At her nod, he stood up. He leaned over her, carefully wrapping his arms around her and helped her to sit. He tried to gently support her body, but a quiet groan left her lips nonetheless. He mumbled an apology, kissing the side of her head while she caressed his back. He brought a cup to her lips, and she gratefully drank its contents. She immediately recognized the taste of the tea that women in the village made to get rid of pain, and she was grateful to have it now. When she had enough, Ardeth whipped the drops that fell on her chin. 

"How is that girl? Was someone hurt?" She was watching him when he placed the cup on the cupboard and sat next to her. 

"She is alright." Ardeth took her hand in his and squeezed it. "A little shaken up, but nothing happened to her. Rashid already checked on her twice." He chuckled softly, and she couldn't stop smiling forming on her lips. "Aziz got himself a black eye, but no one was injured. Except for you." 

"Twice? He must be bewitched by her." She bit her lip, mindlessly starting caressing the back of his hand with her thumb. "I feel like she was in danger because of me… I should do more to stop them, to make them go away much faster." 

"Ya Hayati, you did nothing wrong. You gave them the help they needed, and they used your good heart. You made sure that our people could run when they took guns. You shielded this girl with your own body. It was not your fault." Ardeth brought her hand to his lips and kissed the back of it. She looked into his eyes and nodded, trying to believe in his words. "You scared me terribly…"

"I'm sorry, ya Amar*. I'd promise it won't happen again, but it probably would be a lie." She smiled sadly, squeezing his hand. "I was so relieved when I saw Farhan and you."

"I'll keep you safe. This time I won't fail."

"Ardeth Bay, you never failed me. And I would argue more about it, but I'm too tired right now." He couldn't help but chuckle. "Would you lay with me? I missed you."

Her one look was enough for him to agree. He knew he should check if the whole situation were cared for. He should go and tell their friends and family that she was awake and only needed a lot of rest. But even the thought of leaving her alone was too much right now. He helped her move a little on the bed and lay down. Her every hiss of pain went straight to his heart. With his help, she found a comfortable position that allowed her to snuggle into his side. He placed a few kisses on her head until she looked up. 

"You know that you can kiss me? I mean a proper kiss." 

They exchanged lovesick smiles, so similar to these at their wedding. Ardeth placed his hand against the side of her head, caressing her cheek with his thumb. He leaned his head, gently tucking her nose with his. He  knew how impatient she was for his touch, and he smirked when she tried to catch his lips with hers. He kissed so lightly the corner of her lips, and at her disgruntled grunt, he finally kissed her. He kissed her slowly but deeply. He cherished that she was by his side after these few days and that she was alive. He perfectly knew that if this bullet hit her a little lower, he could lose her, lose part of himself. It was all that mattered, they were together, and he promised himself he would double his efforts to keep her safe.
