Eunyung had never stolen anything before the first time he was accused of it, after running away the first time. He didn't steal those headphones, yet still got beaten up for it.

His dad didn't even let him explain himself before starting to hit him. Only afterwards did EY get the chance to say he didn't do it so his dad could hear, who ofc didn't care enough to believe him. Instead of trusting him or at least listening to him, he asked EY to apologize for sth he didn’t do and just get the whole thing over with.

^^ Here, EY was caught off guard by his dad's "gentleness" (<- not hitting him) when he leaned down and whispered to him (hence the small blush above). To me, it seems like he had a sliver of hope that his dad would be nice to him for once. But the gentleness vanished quickly as his dad then proceeded shaming and guilt-tripping him into apologizing (hence the blush below).

That tactic didn't work bc EY knows how unfair the thing he's being asked to do is. He knows he's innocent bc he really didn't steal anything. When he refused and insisted he really didn't do it, his dad pulled the "I'm so disappointed in you. You never change"-card.

Now, that tactic worked. In the end he just gave in and apologized as told in order to avoid more conflict and finally get out of that uncomfortable situation -> Something like resignation

(^^ This also ties into why EY was so upset with HJ's words during Thanksgiving's arc -> he hates the idea that he can't change and will stay like this forever. That's also a reason why he apologized despite being innocent -> EY wanted to prove his dad wrong: He can change. He can be something other than a disappointment not worth anyone's time.)

The guy who actually did it got away with it and EY got made fun of for being stupid enough to take the blame. He sought out the guy to take revenge bc he knew there'd be no other type of justice for someone like him.

His dad’s actions that day (wrongly accusing and forcing EY to take the blame) is what pushed him to try stealing -> If he was going to suffer the consequences anyway, he should at least benefit from it somehow by actually stealing sth and profit from whatever he stole. That way the accusation would at least be valid.

That day, EY learned to seek justice by himself because no one else would; and he learned to steal. He started stealing in his first year of middle school, one month after running away from home for the first time. All because of his dad. EY never had a father, he had the opposite of a role model -> he knew what he did not want to be.

#<EY's dad taught him to steal. EY never had anyone in his corner standing up for him. weird mile thought that just occurred to me: so mile has said he'd been asked to take other bl roles before right? and never really expressed any hesitation about taking one - like he was confident that it'd be his choice even though he wasn't a known actor, hadn't ever had an actual acting role before? and i was wondering at like this casual assumption that he'd be able to do a role, like he was almost deigning to take it rather than being insecure or worried about being good enough. and while i realize some of that is just mile (and the life experience of being rich and good-looking lol) i think some of it probably would also have been to do with the kinds of things he'd been offered?

i was thinking: someone described mile as kind of like a thai kim kardashian because he previously was sort of famous for being basically a rich socialite-type. and one thing you learn about thai bl shows if you pay even a little attention is that they love a cameo guest role from other bl actors or cps. there are always these little moments where some random encounter with a walk-on background character in a bl show seems to be dragged out a bit and given a confusing amount of time and significance where later you'll see everyone going crazy in the chat "omg it was so&so from last year's drama! they were the couple at the fashion show!!!" etc etc.

so how likely is it that the "roles" mile was offered were of that kind - attempts to take advantage of his celebrity and followers to bump the viewership of a bl drama with a cameo turn by "extremely handsome restaurant patron mile" or "extremely handsome businessman mile " or maybe even "extremely handsome suave beach-goer mile"?

it just seems very likely, considering how celebrity can function and also mile's kind of supreme confidence about picking and choosing from among offers.

but what i love, and what i realized might have been a little bit of an "f* you" on mile's part for the implied assumption that he maybe couldn't pull off a real role, is that he decided to go in and actually audition for kinnporsche when he heard about it, not for some kind of gravy star cameo, but for the full leading role, when he hadn't acted before.

like we all laugh that he heard it was based on himself and saw a chance that apo might be involved and jumped at it, but seriously. seriously, think: if kim kardashian one day just decided to audition for a genuine movie/tv role in idk succession or something - not a gimmick part, not a walk-on as "herself" - what would the reaction be??

do you think most celebrities could handle a full lead role like that? just ... decide to do it, and then not only pull it off, but do a brilliant job?

just, with all the sort of interpersonal stuff with daemi that's been sort of an avoided discussion and the way mile has said he'd read yok's work before, i'm speculating that going for a much bigger and more demanding role than maybe what he'd been offered before was a way for mile to make a kind of statement of his own, staking his own worth as an actor not just some 'pretty face with nice tits' (which is kind of how i feel like sometimes the whole cast got treated by the writers)

and that fills me anew with a kind of gleeful appreciation for his style and boldness.

She's an all jobs all the time type warrior, but these are favourite looks. She takes a lot from her friends when it comes to the same jobs, right down to commissioning a replica Shtola dress which she would never wear in front of her and is strictly for swooshing around town in, on the assumption that if anyone writes gossip rags about how the WoL is dressing today, Shtola does not read them.

It took a clear year to obtain Amon's hat, with Frog finally winning the fight with fellow fashion conscious adventurers to wrest it from his head mere weeks before Endwalker hit, so there's a very narrow window where she really enjoyed the vibe, but then got so emotionally compromised she threw the thing out as soon as she got home to a glamour dresser after her trip to Elpis... Obviously she's been through a lot but being peppy and looking on the bright side and dressing fun to cheer herself and others up is very important and so outwardly mourning the damn hat might seem like the biggest trauma she incurred in recent months if you just asked her how she's doing and that's what she blurted out.

... She does also absolutely wear the open fronted coat with otherwise identical gear to Thancred in front of him, in an attempt to get him to ditch the armour underneath his coat and show a little skin. So far, no success. Neither to inspire Urianger to wear the hat.

i thought today was going to be chill but i am. under a lot of stress right now.

#i'm staying in this apartment esp for people doing internships and stuff abroad #and some old man in his pjs decided to try and open the door with a key?? #he couldn't bc i had my key stuck from the inside #but i opened the door to see what was going on and he came in and now there's a cable in my outlet #that needs to stay there for a few hours while someone does work on the roof #and they've been working on the roof since like 5? but they really started being noisy at 7 #so two hours ago #so that's the only reason i was even awake and dressed #imagine if he came in while i was in my pjs or in the shower or smt #apparently this is normal in greece though??? just coming in without notice?? #my teacher says i should just go about my day as normal but i am not leaving my apartment as long as the cable is still here #because i can't even close my balcony door #thank fuck i have the day off today but i need to take out my trash and go grocery shopping #and the noise is fucking ridiculous and i can already tell if it keeps going for a few hours #the autistic meltdown will happen 👍🏻👍🏻 #which is what i have been trying to avoid by having a chill day
