Hullo. I am amongst the living.

This little idea kept nagging at me, so here we are: TFP where Op goes ✨FERAL✨

So y’know that whole shtick about “they had a secret relationship all along?” Well this is sort of like that, basically— yes, Megs and Op have had a secret relationship ever since the Orion arc. Megs kept in contact because he missed Optimus SO MUCH. And the war has been going on for so long. Also they can fix Cybertron together. But MOSTLY Megs missed Optimus.

Things go along, now they’re definitely considering peace time and even drafting a treaty to share with their respective factions.

But a little bump in the road comes in the form of someone that Megs DID NOT expect to see— MegaZarak. And instead of Zarak heavily injures Optimus or tortures him, like a previous idea I’ve had before— I’ve thought of something a little more heart wrenching. Shit goes down right when Prime and Megs are about to establish peace: Zarak beats out Megs from the title as leader of the Decepticons. He retreats, and escapes via ground ridge thanks to Optimus and the crew. Knockout, BreakDown, SW, and DreadWing follow after him, ever the loyal soldiers (and they also dont want to deal with Zarak). But Optimus gets nabbed just before he jumps through the ground bridge, and he’s now a prisoner to Zarak. So to fuck with Megs even more, Zarak uses the Botched Synthetic Energon to make Op go FERAL.

Like he’s a literal beast on a leash, fangs and all— and Megs, when staging a rescue operation, is torn because he doesnt want to hurt Op, but he has no choice because OP IS FERAL AND HE WILL LITERALLY GET HIS FACE RIPPED OFF. Optimus’ optics are the striking green just like when Ratchet messed around with it earlier on in the series. (Don’t do drugs kids)

He’s got Optimus pinned and he’s trying disparately to pierce through the feral veil that’s blinding the Prime. And there’s a small, tiny moment where Optimus calms down, and his optics flash blue. He tries to speak but his words are staticky and jumbled. Megs reaches out a soothing hand over Op’s face, but unfortunately the touching moment is short lived when Optimus’ optics flash green again, and he goes back to fighting like a rabid animal.

Megs has no choice to knock Optimus out and take him to the wreckage of the Harbinger where both bots and cons have established a new base since the one is Jasper got blown to bits. So Megs is looking through the cell door of the brig, watching as a feral Op is chained to a wall, snarling, growling, and trying to rid himself of his bindings. Ratchet establishes that it’ll probably take days, maybe WEEKS to flush the botched synthetic energon from Prime’s frame. Megs, ever the stubborn mech, refuses to give up on his Prime— so he sits, and waits, and assists where he can in order to bring his Prime back to himself.

So yeah, an idea where Optimus is pretty much having to be treated like a wild beast the whole time until they can get the botched synth energon out of him.

Is buttons (fallout) allowed to be happy for more than 15 minutes at a time or is he the punching bag? He just radiates this pitiful vibe. I want to give him an ice pack and a little box of cereal to nibble on.

Day 2: Private/Respect

Day two is here, I got inspired by one of the fics I’ve read where Megatron looks on in disdain at the mockery that new council is making of the last of Primes

Using Optimus’s name and image as a tool for their propaganda, for things he would have never stood for.

I’ve found that making a small comic was the easiest way to illustrate my idea, did I forget that Megatron appearance changed after the movie? Yes I did and we’re gonna ignore it

Here’s a version w/out text and the lineart

Below there’s a small snippet that I wrote, it came to mind while I was drawing this

[Megatron always held respect for his greatest enemy, for his dearest love, he never could have fathomed a life without Optimus…and yet here he stood looking at a statue built in his memory, memory of a great leader who sacrificed himself to save his planet.

Megatron nearly scoffed, Optimus always had a hero complex jumping at any chance to sacrifice himself for the sake of others. His naïveté was frustratingly endearing and stupid to no end. In the end the Prime managed to achieve his life long dream of giving his life for his cause, Megatron thought spitefully but he knew it wasn’t the truth, he knew he was just trying to deflect the blame, to sooth his grieving spark with anger.

He knew Optimus, knew what he stood for, inadvertently he was the one to know his enemy best. After millennia of battle and constant back and forth of their struggle they came to be quite familiar with each other. And now Megatron knew that Optimus would be looking on with those sad optics of his at the current state of their world.

Hot anger bristled in him at the thought.

“They desecrated your name, dear”, talking to a statue must be a new low for the ex-warlord but he couldn’t stay silent anymore, not when looking at a poorly made replica of his Prime, “You would have never stood for this ridiculousness”

Optimus wouldn’t allow founds that were desperately needed for reconstruction efforts, to be wasted on another meaningless statue. He wouldn’t allow for his name to be smeared on everywhere to justify different agendas. They disrespect every single thing he stood for..

#spn #vid #mind the warnings on this one for real #woe! fruit of my rewatch be upon ye. #pallas calls this my 'deangirl coming out vid' which honestly. true. but those who paid attention know i've always been a deangirl. #also. after this no more deanwinchester rilo kiley amvs I Pwomise #anyway. i'm not gonna give a full commentary here but a big reason why i chose this song is that the narrator #is essentially dismissing her own problems and instead watching the problems of someone else #and i kind of wanted to play with that theme. this is the parallels show so let's do some parallels. lots of things happen to characters #that are Like Dean somehow. either in personality or circumstance. that we know or can infer happen to him. but we don't see it bc it's #not sayable. not speakable. so like for an easy one. we see meg being tortured in caged heat. she also talks about apprenticing under #alastair just like dean. so i show her being tortured [in a way that is sexualized and demon-specific] and reacting how she does #because i invite the audience to imagine or interpret that this has also happened to dean at some point. we just don't see it #so there are many dean parallels in this video. some obvious. some subtle but textual. some products of my twisted mind. but that's the way #i am using them to make my argument. #oh also: dean voice sam's eyes going black is JUST like when he used to fight with dad and wouldn't listen to me when i told him not to. #i guess also the point is that because it's unsayable. dean can't say it. dean can't even acknowledge it. and so it bleeds through #into everything in his life #that's why it's important that the song narrator doesn't take her own problems seriously. dean doesn't either.
