hey everyone!! dont think i havent been periodically creeping on the blog and see how things were doing--i ended up leaving my old job and got a full time job to better support myself as i finish up my degree so sorry for the absence! here is a fic preview of one of the (many) fics in my drafts that i'll be working on and hope to post in its entirety this weekend!!!

Stake Out (Sniper x fem!Reader)

Sniper didn't understand why he couldn't just be alone. He's never needed another person to watch his back while on a stake-out, and he damn sure doesn't need one now. Admittedly, he's quite frustrated. With you? Not exactly. With the situation? Damn straight. The dead of summer heat left you scantily clad, much to Sniper's detriment. How could he bear to get anything done when you're sitting right here next to him like this, as if on display? You weren't exactly a happy camper, either. You knew Sniper didn't need any help, so you were already prepared to deal with a sour attitude-- but the unbearable heat and the fact that you have no choice but to spend a night together in his one-man van--left you equally as frustrated as the Aussie. As the afternoon dragged on, you let out an exasperated sigh and turned to your superior. "Is it okay if I take a nap?" You ask meekly, afraid of distracting him as he peered through his scope wordlessly. Sniper pauses a moment, then sets his rifle down. "A nap? Wasn't your whole reason for bein' 'ere to watch my back?" The look on his face sent a shiver down your spine. It was just an innocent question, really! You figured since it was an unspoken fact that the both of you knew you didn't really need to be here, it would be okay if you, well, slacked a bit. You cock your head to the side before testing the waters again. "...yes?" He stared at you with an expression you were unable to read. Was he mad? Was he just pulling your leg? Sniper pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, looking back up at you sternly. "Sure." It was hard to deny that his pent up frustration, among his general discontent with today's circumstances, left him irritable. From the bloody start he just wished he could be alone. None of this would have happened! Now how is he supposed to concentrate with the temptation of your vulnerable, unconscious body left splayed out before him mere feet away?! He shooed you along, allowing you to sleep in the camper while he did a little exercise in self control and maintained watch on enemy territory.

Upon entering, you thought nothing more of your surroundings and crashed on the bed with a soft thud. It was almost too easy to fall asleep, until you shot straight up and felt panic set in. Oh god. This is the only bed in this whole camper. The only viable surface to lay on, period. You were suddenly plagued with the image of a scowling Sniper, and the discomforting silence that hung around the two of you all day. How on earth are we supposed to sleep in this bed together?! The thought of cuddling with your superior after you were sure you just ruined his whole day made you tremble with anxiety. You thought it best to set your worries aside for now to get some rest. Perhaps if you slept now, that meant you could stay up on watch through the night while Mundy got his rest--avoiding the bed predicament entirely. As you pondered on what exactly you'd like to say and played out the interaction in your head, you lulled yourself to sleep with your own thoughts. The heat left you laid out on top of the covers with your sweat-soaked garments hugging your body like a constrictor. Right as you fell asleep, Sniper, with his brief solitude, was able to clear his head and abate his frustration for the time being. With no new action on the frontier, he decided to take a small break to check on you, making sure you at least were comfortable back there. Sniper knew it wasn't exactly a home, and felt a slight twinge of guilt having such a beautiful girl like you surrounded in his clutter.

The Aussie gently knocked before entering still, and was greeted by the sight of you, out cold in a starfish position. He stumbled back, instinctively snatching off his hat and using it to cover his eyes. Guess she made herself comfortable. He thought to himself, hiding his flushed expression behind the slouch hat. Sniper set the hat back on his head, clearing his throat to try and escape the awkward silence between himself and your unconscious form below him. Mundy knew he had no business back here anymore--all he was to do was assure you found yourself alright back there, then he would return to his post. Yet, he found he couldn't bring himself to move. His eyes were glued to your body, as if its beauty had taken hold of him. You could still feel an overbearing presence, even in your unconscious state, which caused you to stir. Sniper inched closer to you, against his better judgment. The pent up frustration from spending a whole afternoon next to you, wearing the least amount of clothing you could get away with...it drove him absolutely mad. Even more so, knowing there was nothing he could do about it--he couldn't make a move, he was a professional after all! ...And professionals have standards. Before finally returning to his post, he hastily covered your limp form with a used towel discarded nearby. Out of sight, out of mind.

hi hi! first, i want to say thank you so much for sticking by my fic for so long like?? I'm the worst post-er in the world and i truly applaud you for your patience and am so so thankful for your support!!!

now to answer your question... i indeed have plenty for you guys and i'm really hoping i get to execute this! I'll give you some sneak peaks of the writing too :)))

Here With Me: it's a nico one-shot with a platonic older sister reader and the relationship is kind of inspired by Wednesday and Pugsley's dynamic.

“Okay, listen here…” You move a little closer, eyeing the name tag on the frightened guard. “Atrius. Have you seen a girl named Bianca? She looks like this kid.” Pointing at Nico, the ghost peers over your shoulder. 

“No, I haven’t seen her.” As definitive as that statement was, he didn’t sound so definitive. His bones clinked together as he shivered in your presence. 

“I don’t like when people lie to me.” You stare into his empty eye sockets. One moment passes and then two and then three and still he hasn’t budged. Irritation buzzed at the back of your skull. You had the time but none of the patience to play hide and seek. 

Nico stands a short way behind you, partially concerned for your victim. He wasn’t sure what you were going to do if you didn’t get what you wanted. The skeleton flashed him a look and even with no skin on his face, he could tell it was pleading. 

“Help me!” He was saying without a word.  The boy doesn’t move from his spot though, instead looking away sheepishly. Pleading or not, he looked scary. That and Nico really wants to find his sister.

“I’m not lying!” He insists and it annoys you even more. Quickly, in one movement, you grab his leg and tug so hard it comes straight out the socket. Tossing it to the side, your eyes don’t leave him as he yelps, falling straight to the ground.

“Tell me where she is, or I’m tossing both of your legs into Tartarus. Last chance.”

2. Discovered: it's a percy one shot where you're jason's little sister and you've trying to keep your relationship a secret

“Perce, we should get out there.” Your eyes focus on the door as he slowly lowers your hand off his face. “I came here to wake you up, not to cuddle.” The suggestion flew into one ear and out the other, Percy only nuzzling his face further into your neck. “Hmm.” The vibration of his hum tickles your skin, distracting the rational thoughts that urge you to take your own advice. “Let’s just stay here and sleep a little longer.” 

When did you become so weak? You’re not sure how it came about with Percy. His husky, fatigue-laced voice was enough for you to persuade you. It wasn’t even the warmth of his body splayed over yours or the inviting bed sheets graced with his sweet scent that could sway your persistence. As much as you wished to stay here, playing with Percy’s dark locks until the two of you drift to sleep, you know you couldn’t. 

Your brother, Jason, was big on routines and he didn’t waste any time to work out a schedule for himself and the whole Argo II crew. Curfew was set to wake up at the crack of dawn and the times varied person to person under the consideration of who was scheduled for the night watch. 7 am was pretty early, considering you’re all stuck on a boat all day. The hours would just drag and you’ve tried to compromise with him about it but the former praetor was set on his plans. 

3. Holidate: it's short series that i'm working on inspired by the netflix movie Holidate! It takes place after college, percy and y/n are adults and just got out of long term relationships! it's a fake dating au. I want to get this fic out for the holidays at the end of the year!

“What?” Silena doesn’t falter her stare and you shift on your feet, suddenly, aware of Ellie tugging on your arm, eager to show you all the Christmas presents she got this year. “You're acting like I showed up in sweats!” Silena purses her lips. “I did my hair, and my makeup! First time in 3 months.” You hoped she'd give you some credit but her expression doesn’t change. “You know what? I don’t need to explain myself to you. I’m going to attend your daughter's Christmas Haul now.” 

Silena scoffs and turns on her heels, the red bottoms of her heels clashing perfectly with the green of her dress. Content with that being the end of your conversation, you make your way to the grand stairs with your 4-year-old tour guide. 

“You look like shit.” Your vision follows the direction of the voice. Drew smirks, glamorous in her choice of outfit today. To any other dinner party, you wouldn’t be underdressed but Cabin 10 took any event like the met gala. 

“Thank you.”  you smile as if you just got a compliment. Ignoring her look of obvious disgust, you run up the stairs behind the crowd of children.

“Percy?” Estelle pats her older brother’s shoulder. She waits for a moment, the older boy staring at his cup of eggnog with nothing particular in mind. “PERCY?” 

As if snapping out of a trance, Percy blinks, meeting the six-year-olds gaze. “Yes, Guppy?”

The sweet tone in his voice was hard to manage but the last thing he wanted was to ruin his little sister's Christmas with his crabby attitude. He wishes he stayed home at his apartment, waiting out this holiday by pretending it was just a regular Friday. Sally didn’t allow it though, waking him up by calling his landline and demanding he showed up to Christmas dinner. He only came for Estelle. He knew his little sister would miss him.

“Where’s Annie?” She asks, teddy in her arms. Percy shifts, about to answer before his mother chimes in.

“Estelle, can you help dad set the table?” The task was somehow exciting to her child mind, the girl ditching the teddy bear on Percy’s lap. Saved by mom, Percy releases the breath he didn’t even know he was holding. “Sorry,” Sally sheepishly sits beside her son. “I told her what happened and to not bring it up. I guess she wants to hear the news straight from you.”

“It’s fine,” Percy says, green orbs returning to the eggnog in his hand.

ummmmm um um oh god what a question

i mean it's a beautifully kind question but it's one that forces me to confront what ive written, which, unhinged!!!! i havent thought about my fics in a while (as you can probably tell from my lack of updates 🥴)

it's hard to pick a favorite line or anything of the sort, bc i actually like a lot of lines. not in a damn-that-line-is-the-world's-most-gorgeous-prose kinda way, or in a i-bet-readers-are-gonna-love-this kinda way, but in a hey-i-like-what-i-did-there kinda way, bc what i did ~there~ usually was take something from the (my) real world, whether a sensation, an idea, a phrase, a song lyric, a color, and bend it into fuel for a story. that's part of the magic of writing for me. actually that's nearly all of the magic for me (the other portion being that somehow sometimes the feelings i intend to evoke are, indeed, evoked in some readers, as per their comments)

when i glance through any random fic of mine, especially the more uhhh dramatic ones, i can see so many traces of... me? my life? my world? and it reminds me of how much writing gives me. it's just a place where i express myself i guess?? even as im telling a story about completely different people in a different setting from my own (sadly ive never had a threesome with my ex and his sorta ex, sorta nemesis, sorta lover!!). goddamn it, i knew this questions would make me desperate to write again. how dare you remind me of the joys of writing!!!! fuck you!!! (ilysm)

as far as whole fics go (and pls god dont make me pick a chapter, i might die), im still very partial to warm water, bc that's my baby, bc it's one of my first fics (it basically reignited my love for writing??) and bc i really didnt expect it to resonate so much w folks. the response was wild, never in a million years did i see that coming. also bc it helped me process some things that i didnt realize needed processing, and bc it got me through the start of the pandemic and through writing an rma thesis. and bc it's pretty sizeable for my standards. but it's also like.... early!jo work. i like to think ive grown a little bit more into my own writer's skin since?? but it was huge in growing said skin. so it's my baby

i also like unlike, bc it pairs my very Dramatic Writing StyleTM with smut, which, as it turns out, is my comfort zone somehow (??) and i like as trouble ought to do bc it broke my post-warm water angst drought and i experimented in that one. it's an acquired taste, but hey, aren't we all?

Hahha it's funny that u used ice coffee drinker nickname today.. because this morning it was like 20 degree outside n i ordered cold brew with salted caramel foam . N i was so happy because it was so good.

So we woke up at 4am to get ready but my flight got delayed. It was supposed to be at 8am n it was delayed to 1h40minutes. The Oklahoma airport was surprisingly not that busy. I wrote a bit in flight but then fall asleep for like 20minutes.

Anyway, how r u? Hows ur day today? Sorry for the late reply..it was a very very busy day. Spent time with the family, been talking with the in laws n i finally got some time alone just now.

We got here like 10.40. N we got at my in laws at 1.15. Im so tired right now..

N the weather here is so much warmer but we brought mostly warm clothes, i can only pray it will be cold. I hv vbeen sneezing. I think it's because the extreme difference of the temperature. I bought lunch from the chinesse place near where i used to live before we went to my in laws (we used to live like 5 minutes away driving) then i have been talking n talking with the in laws. We catched up. N we went for dinner with the brothers, nephews,his parents n his mom's husband, one of the family friend also came to see us n joined the dinner. There were 12 of us. We had pizza but i ordered spicy wings and spaghetti meatballs. Was gonna order spumoni ice cream but i forgot.😒🙄 i was craving it.

TCF AU pitches

I haven’t posted in a very long while, especially anything related to my fic on AO3 (yes i know that I havent updated it since I posted it-)

But in the mean time, I did write a couple of things, ambled ideas and pitched a few AUs on discord which I will be putting up here (and maybe flesh out and post on AO3)

Without further ado, there ya go:

Modern day where KRS and Cale are siblings, with KRS being like 10 or 12 years older (this has a purpose I swear)

KRS went to a different city for colleges, and Cale was das because his big brother is now gone and not many people are there to talk with.

It that’s alright, he still has his mum and , albeit very busy, dad , right?

Wrong

It takes only 2 months for Jour to become bedridden because of an unknown disease, 2 more years and she’s gone.

In those 2 years, 8 years old Cale had to watch as his father loses his sanity with each passing day.

At first he held it in for the sake of his sons, but when Jour doesn’t make any progress, he starts slipping away

In the end, after the funeral where Cale had to comfort his father, Deruth loses his last thread of sanity

Cale is so so scared because his once warm and loving mother isn’t there anymore, there is no big brother he can hide behind and even his father starts screaming and crying whenever he looks at Cale

He thinks he has to endure it, because his father still loves him and he can’t abandoned him, but he’s only 8 and an 8 years old can only take that much

It takes him a wine bottle being thrown at him to muster up the courage and call KRS in the dead of the night, at first with an icy voice

But when KRS hoarsely takes the call and asks “Cale, is that you? Why are you up so late?” He starts crying and bawling

Through hiccuped sentences, KRS finally understands what’s happing and tells him to lock himself in a room with enough food and water to last him 3 days, he’ll come to get him.

Cale can’t help the glimmer of hope that spars indeed of him, the thought of seeing his brother again and having someone finally help him

When KRS finally comes home, he knocks on the door of Cale’s room and Cale doesn’t answer at first

KRS talks to Cale, asking him to open the door, and when Cale realizes it’s KRS, he flings open the door and throws himself at his brother

KRS hugs Cale’s trembling figure, mentally swearing at himself for not noticing that something was wrong. Cale almost always called him. When the calls dwindled and eventually vanished to almost none, he hadn’t thought anything of it

They admit Deruth into a hospital for mental trauma and he starts getting treated

Legally, custody is transferred over to KRS as he is an adult with the capacity to take care of Cale

All of the money and other things that belong to the Henituse family Also belongs to KRS, which he used to buy a better place for him and Cale

He takes Cale with him to the city he’s studying in, and enrolls Cale at a nearby school after a while (it takes Cale almost a year to be able to go to school due all the trauma) and gets him a therapist to deal with the loss of his mother and father

Cue Soos moment

LSH and CJS are KRS friends in college, and when they find out he is taking care of his little brother, they help him out

And Cale got used to calling them sometimes as uncles

Or calling them hyung because they are KRS friends and CJS and LSH tease KRS to also call them hyung

In school, Cale gets to know Choi Han and Alberu (I know that CH is supposed to be CJS uncle once removed but here he is younger)

At first he doesn’t like Alberu, his face so blinding it hurts his eyes

But after a series of accidents, they become friends and soon CH joins them

Cale also takes a side job in his teen years, where he takes care of his neighbors kids (On, Hong and Raon)

All of them adore him

Years pass by, and Cale and KRS heal from their wounds

When Cale turns 16 (KRS is around 26-28) their father gets out of the hospital

At first, they don’t have much contact, but it grows overtime

They’re very awkward around eachother, mainly because Deruth realizes that both of his sons are grown up and he didn’t get to see Cale’s growth

When he falls for Violan and eventually married her, Cale feels like a wall stands between them

When they visit over their breaks, he feels the slighted sting of jealousy as he watches Deruth laugh and talk with Violan and Basen (*I used to have this as well*, he thinks to himself)

But he soon gets over it, and is instead happy for them, even if he longs to fit into the picture

When Lily is born, the rift continues to grow

It’s almost like KRS and Cale don’t belong into the Henituse family, like discarded puzzle pieces that no longer fit into the new and shiny picture

He feels bitter, and so does KRS

But after a talk together, They realize that maybe they’ll never fit into the new family, at lest, as long as they don’t try

Deruth is ashamed and scared, he had hurt and abandoned his sons

But one day, they ask him to talk

And they talk until the night, spilling all the words they kept bottled up, talking about the burdens they carried for so long

It’s awkward at first, but with time the conversation flows

They clear up misunderstandings and understand eachother

When they walk out of the room, if feels like they flipped to a new page, a new chapter, where life might even look a bit brighter

Maybe they go to family therapy or sth as well, but they improve their relationship and the wall that stood between them slowly crumbles

Or alternatively:

KRS and Cale decide that maybe it’s better to walk away from the burdens and to return to their new family, where they are right home and fit in just perfect.

They go low contact and enjoy their lives with their friends and family

So its been so long since i shared any art or talked to anybody- i know u guys dont mind but lol a little personal stuff under the cut.

So, some of u may have noticed ive taken several hiatus and havent been sharing any art. My fics have been updating but - real slow. Like 2 months slow. I havent talked to most of my buddies and ive been leaving messages unanswered. im so sorry for ghosting :( and for the lack of reblogs or posts in general.

my fiance has an illness, and it's been bad. Bad on her and on me. She has to move to a different state for a while to be with the rest of her family and try to get better. Its been really terrible. Anxiety is extreme. Hard to cope with. And I'm about to be alone for the first time in years. Not completely, i have family close, but generally alone. Dont worry too much. A good friend of mine is reaally close and shes keeping my spirits up, as well as some other close friends who have just been the best support. Im glad i found them through this fandom and I cant be more thankful.

But i guess i just wanted to say sorry to everyone i ended up ghosting, and for the lack of content and stuff. And all the hiatus without any actual explanation. Surely when things simmer down ill be more active. There are likely more dips and bad days to come, but eventually the art will come back and fics will update more often.

Anyway, thanks a lot to everyone who has sent me nice messages lately. Even if i didnt reply, i read them and its a sweet little glimmer when you guys reach out to tell me you enjoy my fics or like - to just say hi so. Thank you guys. And sorry again.

SO. wip tidbits. trying to bring these back again so that way people can still learn more about the au

with the holiday season coming around (wow guys its basically been a year by now since i started using this tumblr for wmmap at least) ive been super busy with work and havent had a lot of time to write

HOWEVER

i recently looked at my doc for itbomm and there’s at least 86 pages worth of unposted wip tidbits precisely because its for future events and im trying to piece everything together like a jigsaw puzzle

side note: there’s a total of 204 pages, in which 118 is solely the chapters that have already been posted on wattpad and ao3

so for those who are unfamiliar with my writing process -- i write a bunch of scenes mainly on a whim that i refer to as “tidbits”. one day i could write consecutive scenes and bam i’ll have a new chapter out asap. another day i could write a bunch of different scenes and end up with only one that gets thrown into the current wip chapter while some scenes get scrapped

basically, its the rough draft, things might get heavily edited or be kept the same in the fic, or be used for later down the storyline. i dont care much for spoilers, but i know that there are people who do care

this post is for the people who want the breadcrumbs of spoilers whether big or small!

Everything before and after is a blur, but he remembers everything in between.

The room is quiet, almost uncomfortably so. She breathes, abrupt and almost angry at first, only to exhale softly with a tune of fatigue. He shifts in his seat on an elegantly designed sofa that was old and worn from age. Something is different — unsettling, almost, but he can’t tell what it is.

“So you’re going through with this, after all,” his guest states, her voice barely shaking — he didn’t expect any less of her composure. Even in the face of something like that, she still retains her calmness, and a familiar sense of fondness washes over him. “Do you truly love him, so much that you would run away?”

“I am, I do,” he states, and there’s an apology waiting to slip out, but he bites his tongue.

They both agree that it wasn’t a good idea to talk about the matter more than what they’ve already established. He wasn’t too thrilled, either, to hear about how he died. Perhaps it was more of just morbid curiosity in wanting to know the details of his death.

After all, if he and the original Athanasios died in the same way, one that didn’t require poison of any kind, then maybe there was some more to the mystery behind Athanasios’ death that not even Autumn would know. She may have written Toska from his sister’s perspective, but that doesn’t mean Athanasia would actually know the full truth, especially if Claude decided not to divulge details in the original story.

“You said that you saw glimpses of your past life long before you found me in the forest, right?”

“What about it?” Autumn frowned.

“Do you remember any of it?”

“Too much of it. Why do you ask?” Even though she asked, he could tell that she had her own guess. And he could tell that she was most likely correct in her conclusion.

“I remember bits and pieces, but nothing major.”

“That’s a good thing, isn’t it? You’re making progress.”

“I’m not sure,” he grimaced. “The issue is that it’s too slow for the sake of progress.”

There’s a moment of tense silence, his shoulders stiff as he looks at his reflection in his tea, and he hears the tiny clink of a teacup placed into its little plate.

He could feel her stare.

“…I don’t think you should try to force the issue, if you can’t remember much.”

“No take backs,” his best friend grins, shifting closer and brushing her fingers through his long black hair. “Also, I recently just read this manhua called Grandmaster of the Demonic Sect, and it’s about this dude who transmigrated back to the world 13 years after he died, and the protagonist’s name is Wei Wuqian, aka, Wei Yin, and he—”

“Wait, did you write fanfiction for the short story assignment?”

“Huh?”

“You literally named the main character Yi Wei, and his husband as Zhan Lan. Isn’t this that one fandom that blew up on Twitter? We literally used the short essays for our workshop session and I literally read your story. You turned in a fanfic for a class assignment.”

She avoids eye contact with him, “Not that I’m saying I did — which you can’t prove anything — there’s nothing wrong with submitting a fanfic for a class.”

It’s the first time he outright laughs around her.

He wasn’t sure how to feel about that. In fact, it was really unexpected — Verena was obsessed with Ijekiel, even after the engagement between Verena and the Prince was broken off.

He really did — he hated the person he used to be, he liked growing out his hair and wearing pretty clothes, but he hated being mistaken for a girl. There were a lot of things that he hated about being Michelle, but now that he was living another life, it was different. Maybe it was because he was born as the boy he had always hoped he could be, or maybe it was just because he never really hated the name, but rather the fact that it was his.

It was kind of funny, really. Now that he was Athanase, he cherishes his past life as Michelle, when he absolutely hated his life when he was still Michelle.

It was the main reason why I stopped posting updates in the first place. I wanted to finish it, though, at least for you, when I found out that you read my story. I wanted to finish rewriting Toska for you, but then you…”

But then he died.

She had no reason to finish her story, if the one she rewrote it for wouldn’t even be there to read it.

“And it was… it was the same. For Athanasios. He…” she refused to look up from her teacup, but he could already see where she was going with this.

The first fanfiction i read was for The Lunar Chronicles when I was like 11?? and it was 100% on accident and it scarred me because it was a hardcore porn one with a period kink and i was like WHAT IS THIS??? OH MY GOD???? LMAOOOOO i didn’t pick it back up until i was 13-14 and really got into the Fairy Tail fandom. I still reread my favorites on ff.net cause i love them. 

As for writing, I wrote a horrible, terrible x-men fanfiction when I was twelve. (my friend still brings it up and REFUSES to delete it so it still gets comments and views, that shit HAUNTS ME ELE.) then tried again for Fairy Tail, posted like two chapters before taking it down cause i wasn’t really feeling it. Omniscient third person. I don’t like it. Like I can understand that it can be a little hard to stay in one person’s perspective but, in my opinion, if you can, it shows how disciplined you are as a writer. Plus, i just get so confused when I go from A’s thoughts to suddenly what B is thinking about A. 

When writers use ‘ ‘ instead of “ “. When writers put thoughts in ‘ ‘ instead of just italicizing them. It’s small things but like they just bother me sO MUCH. most of the time i can ignore it and try to enjoy but other times i just dip. 

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

@espoir-et-reves !!!!! THEIR SHISAKU FICS ARE SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. And they have a warring states one going on THAT I AM SO OBSESSED WITH. 

@writer168 idk if they’re really “underrated” but THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT FICS ON AO3. Like theres an AU with sakura, kiba, and shino that i reread constantly because it just. is. so. fucking. GOOD. and they posted a new one that i’m YELLING about. 

@eggtoasties okay they only have 2 in the naruto fandom (one shisaku which is still ongoing) BUT THEIR WRITING STYLE IS SO NICE?? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I still go back and reread their shikasaku one cause UGH i can’t get enough. I love it.

Fandoms: Naruto, Soul Eater, The Old Guard, ATLA

Parings: KakaSaku/ShikaSaku/ShiSaku/MultiSaku, SoMa, Joe X Nicky, Zukka

Character: SAKURA. I will read anything with Sakura as the main character and her being a fuckin badass or becoming a badass. I love her.

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback?

aha.. haha.. well. I check my email like three times an hour. its the first thing i check in the mornings too. I’m literally a whore for praise and literally eat up feedback like its going out of style. I also reread a lot of my stuff because i make so many mistakes and spelling errors, or the spacing is weird oR SOMETHING. plus, literally any and all comments make my day, i go back and reread them cause they just make me feel so tingly and warm like “wow. this person enjoyed the fic/my writing enough to tell me. thats HUGE!”

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

Angry, feral, bloodied, morally gray women. They aren’t bad guys, they’re probably the good guy, but that doesn’t mean they cant be fucking raging at the world with raw knuckles and blood on their teeth. I just love an angry woman who struggles with her emotions and just has so much inner conflict but that doesn’t take away from her character or badassery, it adds to it. 

24. What’s a trope that you’d like to never hear about as long as you live, let alone write?

The fake dating or miscommunication troupe. LIKE GUYS JUST TALK. AND TELL EACH OTHER OMFG. the entire like obliviousness of “nah they dont like me” while the They holds their hand and kisses their cheek. MOFO WHAT. it makes me so impatient and like mad HAAHHAHA. its probably because i’m a pretty confrontational person so seeing stuff like that just “cmon bro, USE YO HEAD.”

28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?

I have yet to receive a negative comment! Which i was really surprised about tbh. As for deadlines or pressure to update, i just kind of do whatever. I do set goals, but i set them flexible enough that hey, if i can’t do it, that’s okay. 

I have a lot of mini goals, like “i want to write this chapter and get it done this week” and then the large goal is “FINISH BY END OF MAY” so i have time. 

Actually, now that I think on it, the entire pressure to update thing is probably why i’m waiting until I have all of OL&W written to post it weekly,, cause well. I wouldn’t wanna leave you guys waiting as I tried to write and work out the next chapters and stuff, you know?

34. How much of yourself and your life experiences do you put into your writing? What do you think your readers’ image of you is?

None of my experiences match up to anything I write tbh,,, probably the only thing that is me in my writing is maybe the emotional turmoil? I’m pretty emotionally and mentally mature because from a pretty young age i started forming my own opinions, started looking into the world around us and being like “dude what the fuck this is not what disney advertised”. Then i started talking (read: arguing and debating) with my dad about a lot of it. So, like emotions are kind of hard for me. Like i’m pretty good at controlling them or understanding them, but still. idk its hard to explain ig.

Like the weight of stress, the anger, the sadness. It’s kind of therapeutic to write. Cause i don’t know how to put those feelings to verbal words so writing them really helps. 

As for my readers’ image? Probably like some kind of hunched over figure typing away in the dark with a maniacal grin on their face. I honestly don’t know AHHAHAHA but it is fun to think about. I think they’d see me as someone with potential but a lot of room to grow and someone who is imperfect but in a charming way LMAOOOO

38. What does your writing process look like? How chaotic is it on a scale of 1 (very tame) to 10 (you can’t handle this kind of chaos)?

I’m gonna be real honest. Its probably like a 2. I’m a bit of a control freak so I almost always go in chronological order, my writing is pretty linear. Unless, i get bored and jump to one of my fav parts. It's pretty much i sit down, i open the doc, read over my notes and just start writing. 

It’s a little boring to explain AHAHAHA but once i get into the groove of things its really fucking great, I can like feel myself in the world, I can feel what i want the characters to, i love it. I catch myself mouthing the words as i type too, which i find hilarious.

39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

I rather like how raw my writing is sometimes. Which might sound really vain, but i do like the way i word things or describe things. I love juxtaposition and repetition, or making a good ole circle back to some minute detail that wouldn’t stand out until i repeat it at the end and you’re like “omg” AHAHAHAHA.

Like those little poetic snippets or certain wording i just sit back and go “damn thats kinda good nadia! go you!’ HAHAHA  

40. How did you come up with the idea for The Intimacy Of Being Understood?

AAAAA this fic is like my first child, my pride and joy LMAO

so the idea initially came when i was reading some fic, idk if it was even naruto, but i was like “i don't like this, but i do like the rain symbolism.” And I knew i wanted to write something kind of slow paced, something a little sad and angsty, but would show KakaSaku slowly but surely falling in love.

Idk if you’ve noticed but a lot of my fics, the pairings don’t change each other dramatically. They accept each other as they are and then they grow with together. Like that acceptance is something i just love writing, its so subtle, it isn’t something you declare. Its simply “I am going to love you. I am going to love you despite your flaws and faults. I am going to love you unconditionally because I know you, I understand you, and there is nothing you could do to drive me away.” 

The fic kind of wrote itself after that first scene. I kept going back to the rain, go being ghosts, and resurrection, and the small epiphanies one gets. I wanted to focus on each character’s growth with each other. They didn’t find light in life because of each other, but with each other. And i think that’s my favorite thing about that fic. 

I wanted something raw and real and just something beautiful. I’m actually really proud of it tbh. Would i go back and rewrite/edit it? Oh of course! I’d do that with every single one of my fics, but i’m not gonna cause i think its in its rawest form right now. :))))

Okay, sorry for sending so many asks, posts, reblogs, submissions and stuff lately.  I have been more active on tumblr lately, esp. for Gravity Falls, TAU, and Transcendence stuff lately.  Which I like in general, but with the TAUathon and the Transcendence zine stuff going on, both of which I have been busy with, and have been going on more lately  But yeah, I have fics I have been working on for both and they are almost done. 

They have a lot of references to other fics and head canons I have read.  Im also trying to research and make sure the lore and TAU is as correct and good as possible, so besides them being long, and me trying to make them as good as possible, the research is taking me awhile and stuff.  Anyways, for one of the fics, I want to clarify something, I want to make sure Im sticking to the canon or at lease the Squish as much possible, at least with these 2 fics.  Anyways, for the TAUathon fic Im almost done with, I want to ask this question, before I finish it, in case, however you answer makes me need to change things in the fic. 

I dont need to ask much questions for the TAU zine fic Im working on (which I hope they are still taking.  I did said I would be submitting something, but they didnt say any kind of due date, at least the last time I work.  I havent checked tumblr a lot until recently since I have been busy working on that TAU zine fic and the TAUathon fic, so yeah I have been busy) since Im pretty sure everything is right in it, and because Im pretty sure I cant tell and show much have a zine thing/fic (Im not completely sure on that, since this my 1st time entering a zine, or doing much zine things, though Im pretty sure, so yeah). 

Anyways, my question for the TAUathon fic I am working and I think is just an interesting question in general is how would Alcor’s (near) Omniscience would work with Gods?  I know in the TAU verse, Gods are more like Guardians of their Domain usually, and are usually less powerful than Angels and Demons, probably esp. the higher rank demons and angels.  Though, I bet there is probably some expectations with that too, esp. with more old/ancient, wise, and experienced Gods, but usually Gods are in TAU.  Gods remind a bit of Genius Loci (which I love too, I love Genius Loci stuff, I would love to read more on that.  I esp. love the Hank, Alcor Genius Loci stuff esp. in Portland, Gravity Falls, and some I have seen with LA, because those places are just great settings, esp. for mundane and prenatural stuff and coexisting. 

Gods remind me a bit of Genius Loci both protectors/guardians of their domain in a lot of ways (with Gods usually have having some stuff that shows who and what they are a God of and Genius Loci being basically literal personifications of the place), but probably a lot stronger and in most cases older, maybe not always though.  Anyways, back more on topic, how do you think Alcor’s (near) Omniscience, and probably others’ omniscience as well would work on Gods. 

I know Demons with other Demons its possible they might find out stuff about, or around the other demons, or the omniscience and the user might do works arounds to find out stuff, basically it can be very on the fritz, staticy, or/& barely working to not working at really.  I know demons usually cant read the others’ minds.  And Im basically do the same things with Gods, but both a lesser and more extent.  While Alcor’s omniscience is definitely on the fritz and kinda disjointed with the flow of words and information, it is probably giving him more information than he would be able to find out about demons right away, though sometimes if he pushes himself to find out more it causes bad physical stuff too, though the human form Alcor is right now, is not helping that, but basically pushing yourself can be bad with how Im writing that fic. 

And another more thing when it comes to trying to get read on Gods, esp. this particular Old God with his omniscience is that it is even harder to read their minds and get into their mindscapes maybe then even other demons (would omniscience with Angels work a bit similar to demons and Gods, or just completely differently now that I think about it?), and you would have to read and use aura and logical deductions a lot more maybe.  The reason why I think that, is because of the God Eye item helping against omniscient beings, though maybe whatever they do to turn an actual God Eye (I think its an actual God’s Eye) into an item/talisman maybe makes that stronger, I can see that.  Again, I know other people maybe different interpretations on how well or not well Omniscience and Alcor’s Omniscience will work against others.  Like I think I know pretty well on how well it works against (other) demons, but Im less sure about Angels and Gods. 

So if maybe you can tell your opinion and what you think that would be cool, esp. on the Gods stuff, because that is fic Im writing for TAU now.  And if think my ideas that I have been using in my TAU Gods fic makes sense when it comes to Omniscience and Alcor’s omniscience with them and also their own omniscience against other beings like gods, demons, angels, etc.  I think what Im doing in my fic with those ideas and stuff makes enough sense, but I would love to hear some of your thoughts if possible. 

If you dont know everything (yet) thats fine, Im just curious.  And Im also sure other people might come with really good TAU Gods (and even more Angels) lore, head canons, and stuff.  If you cant answer soon that is fine.  If I finish the fic before you answer, I might make another (updated) version with any information you tell me someday, till then I hope my fic is good enough representation of the kind stuff im asking about and accurate enough.  Ever seeing that Mother Gaia Prompt, been wanting more Gods and Old Gods in TAU, so Im making one (and maybe even more later) myself.  Also, sorry about long this was, I ended talking more than just the omniscience thing, haha.

Glad to see your enthusiasm! Sorry this took a little bit to answer; we’re aware that you’ve posted your TAU fic already. No worries, though; you’re pretty much spot on with the long and short of it, which is this: Alcor’s Omniscience may not be 100% reliable at all times.

In many works and headcanons in TAU, this ability of his seems to work a little more like a cosmic google search than anything. He often has to know what he wants to know about in the first place, and then be able to give it a moment of thought. Now, once he does so, any and all information that may be available to him is instantly downloaded and understood, as it were. That being said, sometimes the sources - or the subjects - of that information have enough power to put up blocks of some sort (for the most powerful, most exclusive example in this AU, consider True Names - no being, however omniscient, can simply reach into this well of knowledge and draw out the True Name of another being). Of creatures and beings with this amount of power, other demons would be some, and it’s very reasonable to assume that angels and even gods would be others. In theory, perhaps one with enough power could overwhelm the blocks around one with very little, but I’m not sure if that’s been explored as a concept.

So in short, I’m pretty sure you’ve got it! Have fun writing those Old Gods and Conceptual Deities!

3. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?

the sheer audacity of either the AU concept or the scope of project; they’re either ballsy, like a fic that moves through 300+ years of history, or stupid shit like “hey what if alien but with robots and gay?” (if i wanted to be meta i’d say a gay guy writing gay guys has gotta have an appeal, at least to other guys like me)

5. What’s the fic you’re most proud of?

When It Rains It Pours is my “magnum opus” (bleeding quotations) it’s the fic i always wanted to write. post-canon fix-it, exploring the details of two characters i love making their way in the world (close second is Church of Saint Andrew because it was just a horrible idea)

7. What element of writing do you struggle with most?

overwriting. i sit down to write fun lil romps between chapter updates and then suddenly i got 10k words and a new multi-chapter fic. there’s no “lil one-shot for a break” because i just… can’t write them like that. really bums me out

trick question, i only write AndyEddie and am therefore immune (i don’t think i write Sledge as well as i could, tbr)

less too scared to try and more not willing to commit the effort. some things are so niche and so self-indulgent it’s not worth putting into text, not until I’ve got a fuckton of time on my hands

i used to handle it terribly. now I handle it better. i’ve got a real specific viewpoint on fanfiction crit nowerdays; since fanfic is free, takes effort, and is not inherently for the reader, any criticism given should be a) asked for by the writer, and b) on points of actual relevance rather than “i personally do not like X”. if it doesn’t comply with those criteria, i find myself asking why someone took the time to write the public comment. you can complain about bad fic privately, like all things

29. Have you ever gone outside of your comfort zone for a fic? How did it turn out?

there’s a WIP in my docs from Andy’s POV that deals with some heavier shit and yeah, that was a step outside but if you push through it, your comfort zone expands like bread for the ducks

ive been screaming about this fic ever since it started. it’s a fantastic, well written, hilarious, GUT WRENCHING masterpiece with all the fun things that makes a fake dating fic a joy to read + 10000 more incredible things. i have laughed out loud reading this fic. i have shed real fucking tears reading this fic. i nearly threw my phone out the window of a moving car, one memorable moment. please. just. if on the off chance you havent read this fic yet, please do. it’s a long, lovely journey that’s wonderfully written with fantastic characterization and chapters that have u clawing for MORE. im tryna stay vague about describing this fic bc i f i went into detail, this post would be too long.

okay so it takes A Lot for me to get into a WIP but holy SHIT im fucking obsessed with this fic!!!! it is exactly what is says on the cover and so much more. this fic is PHENOMENAL. i know nothing about music, but the way it’s written makes me not just understand whats going on but feel just how charged that scene is too. I DIDNT KNOW DUETS/QUARTETS COULD HAVE THIS MUCH FUCKING TENSION, BUT THIS FIC DOES IT, and i dont even know what any of the technical shit means!! just. it’s execution is done so so well, im fucking floored. like. this entire fic is very well written, but the music scenes are dripping with skill. if im not making sense, i guess youll just have to read the fic to get what im talking about //eyes emoji

another thing among Many Things that knocks it out of the ballpark in this fic is the characterization. jeremy. oh god, jeremy. i wont spoil, but this version of jeremy is by far one of the most interesting interpretations ive ever seen and it’s  pulled off fantastically. our boy has a lot more bite in this fic and i love it. it’s so good. god. everybody in this fic is so good. god. looks like you’ll have to read the fic to get what im talking about //eyes emoji but more intense

JUST!! READ THIS FIC!! START FOLLOWING THIS FIC!!! it’s got Pining and Slowburn and Misunderstandings and some of The Most engaging scenes ive read in a long time. this whole fic is so clever and so crisp and each update has me fucking screaming.

OHHHH gosh this. this fic is so good?? it’s like the ideal fluff imo??? like, it’s not all Perfect and happy but that little conflict that happens just kinda emphasizes how these boys can always work to make things Better and Happy and it just warms my heart lots. the pov here is so lovely to read because it’s michael “hearteyes” mell and it’s Beautiful. the jokes r in this fic are hilarious and land so well. this is such a prime feel-good fic i Love It Lots.

AAAAGGGHHH GOD THIS FIC WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. this fic does not shy away from so many issues and consequences that happen post-musical, and reading it hurts so much at times but it all comes together and it’s ridiculously satisfying. this fic is super well rounded cuz it’s got so much and it’s all done AMAZINGLY?? characterization and writing are INCREDIBLE here. the humor in this fic is so well done i was clutching my sides wheezing at times. and overall, just watching jeremy go through everything +++ being in love with TWO people is such a ride. such a fantastic ride.

THIS FIC HURTS BUT GOD, IT’S SO DONE WELL. multipov with phenomenal characterizations for every character, this fic is a heartbreaking peek into tiny tragedies. the scenes in this fic are simple yet brutal and yet so undeniably real and human. this fic is beautifully written, and if you can handle unrequited feelings pain, you definitely need to fucking read this.

statistically, most people don't take more than five seconds to say something to their soulmate after realizing the universe has paired them together. brooke and chloe take approximately six years, but better late than never, right?

soulmate au!! this fic quite literally one of the most gorgeous pieces ive ever read. the writing is incredible and the imagery is so vivid at the soulmate universe, something im not usually a fan of, is turned into an incredible setting for a riveting love story. the character povs are incredible and every emotion is conveyed so well. sometimes too well bc hjhksdfhshh pain but really, this fic is a masterpiece, jesus. JESUS!!
