Life has been okay! I got different job which is much closer to home and it's been going well. I'm hoping to go back to grad school soon too! I'm actually still seeing that person from undergrad lol (would not have predicted that ahhhhh).

Mirio is entranced by an angel

Mirio has been told that he is walking sunshine, he had even been called a sunflower more than once by many so many others but it wasn’t until you said that he actually believed it. He had been harboring a small crush on you and hasn't had enough courage to approach you. Until you both had to work on a project together, he was able to talk to convince himself to talk to you finally. He saw you sitting outside underneath a tree just enjoying the warm sunny day. You looked captivating in your outfit. He simply thought it was just made for you so that no one else would be able to look like a masterpiece in it like you did. Taking a deep breath he walked up to you. 

Shyness usually wasn't one of qualities used to describe him but the way that your eyes seem to be staring into his very soul and he couldn't help but get lost into them. Words didn't want to come out and he couldn't focus on the words you were saying but he loved the way they sounded. A gentle breeze on a warm summer day. They made him feel at peace and he would just give anything to keep hearing you talk. The trance he was under was broken when he came to realize that you stopped talking. He blinked a few times before apologizing he didn't hear the question.

 “Oh I just asked if you wanted to have lunch together?”

“I would love to angel” he turned red at how easily the pet name came out and was surprised when you smiled at him and lightly laughed. 

“ If you're gonna call me an angel, then it's only fair that I can call you a sunflower.”

“I would be honored to be your sunflower. How about you pick where we go for lunch and we can talk more?” 

You simply nodded before taking his hand and leading him to where he would guess is your favorite lunch spot and he really did mean you were an angel with the way the sun made you glow, and you radiate nothing but happiness.

Pairing: Mirio x Reader (although self insert in mind but not named)

Warnings: Just some good ole angst

They were destined to be together

Mirio knew from the start

Their first hello held the weight of a lifetime

A promise buried beneath layers of shyness

The first steps were small, they always were, but everything felt so right

Hours spent cuddled up to each other as whispered words of affection tickled their ears, love between friends was never meant to make your heart pound as wildly

They just clicked

Each moment felt like it whizzed past them, hours melting into seconds when her hands found his or when those soft eyes were rooted to him.

She was Mirio's sun, his reason to keep going with every glimpse of her rays, that when her light peeked over the deep chasms of his heart the ache of imperfection and loathing vanishing as they bathed in her all encompassing warmth.

Until...she wasn't.

Long nights of love and laughter becoming scathing memories as he lay there, fingers tracing along the side of a bed made for two

The nights became colder, each day her light dwindled further until he was almost left in shadow.

Eclipsed.

Kiribaku losing their shit over me being used as blackmail by a villain, they've been watching us closely and snatched me up in the dead if night while I was alone

They're both on pins and needles, finding our house in shambles and the scratches and burn along the walls and floors. Searching desperately and feverishly as they try to dodge the press, questions like "what is Helios to you?" and "why was Helios found in your bedroom alone?" and angry fans screaming about how they.could let this happen

They're top heroes, why isn't their house more fortified? Can just anyone break in?

When they finally track the group down, track me down, both their agencies and friends suggest that they sit this one out. They shouldn't let their emotions get the best of them, they should focus on other missions and let someone else handle it.

Only to be met with "Bull-fucking-shit, I'm not doin' anything else 'til she's in my arms again" and "I made a promise to keep her safe, I won't rest until I bring her home"

All I can think about is the rush if relief they feel when they finally see me, feel me, pull me into a hug and swarm me kisses. They don't care how many cameras are on us, they don't care about the internet breaking over this moment.

All they care about is me, that I'm still here. That everything's gonna be okay.

How this is a reminder of how dangerous their work is, how fleeting life is. I'm sure they end up proposing to me not even a week later

And let me tell you, the candlelit sex I got after that rescue mission was 🥴🥴🥴

Heard you were depresso! And struggling to draw! Why not take a short break from it? Whenever I get that way my friend says to take a quick break and come back to it and it isn't as bad as you think it is. Your brain is just a big ole meanie, and naps are good. There's no harm in taking one right? Imagine being cuddled up with your f/o's and them whispering how much they love you as you fall asleep, would that help you feel better? It's okay to be sad, this too shall pass as my mom always says💕

Perhaps I should take a short break. I just get so discouraged when nothing looks right, haha. I’m not actually a big fan of naps because they can make me feel worse, but I’m also really tired... so I had a nap anyway. I think I’m starting to feel a bit better though.

But falling asleep in the arms of one of my f/os is very good... there’s no way I could feel worse after that <3
