Modern Rhysand Aesthetic
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Can you just imagine him in our modern world? I just know he’d embody that “old money aesthetic”. I feel like he’d definitely be a CEO of his family’s business that has been up and running for centuries. He’d just LOVE expensive cars, private jets, bourbon, cigars, chess, watches and anything to do with dark luxury (and Feyre lol)!!!
What do you think a modern Rhys would look like?

Feyre Archeron is for the girls that were forced to grow up too fast. She is for the sisters that had to take the brunt of other peoples abuse so she could survive and protect her family. She is for the girls that had to give up their whole childhood to help raise their siblings because their parents weren’t bothered. She is for the younger siblings who have only ever experienced abuse from an older sibling. She is for the girls that always need to be in control for the fear that their whole life will crumble around them. She is for the girls who never cared about their worth, beauty or anything like that because they were so neglected that they thought it didn’t matter anyways. She is for the girls who never knew how valuable and precious they are because without them, others wouldn’t be able to survive.
She is for the girls who accept mistreatment from a toxic lover because they confuse toxic love for true love as it was the only form of love they ever experienced. She is for the girls that have never been in a relationship because they know they will accept mistreatment and confuse that as love because it’s the only “love” they experienced growing up and it’s scares them to even think about it. She is for the girls that only dream small because they feel they’re not worthy of something better, yet somehow that small dream seems like the biggest achievement to them. She is for the girls that are in constant survival mode even when they don’t need to be.
She is for the girls that pray they will find a man like Rhysand so they can grow, heal and love in a way they deserve. She is for the girls that learned strength and resilience through themselves without even realising it until years later. She is for the girls that need constant reassurance that everything will be ok and that they can relax every now and then!!!
To all my fellow Feyre Archeron’s out there, you got this. No matter how far you are in your journey, you still got this. You’ll get to where you want to be and you will look back on this day with pride. You will survive this. Never give up. I love you all!!!!

Rhysand Becoming High King
So i honestly won't mind him becoming High King. It'll be interesting. But i also don't want him to become High King for reasons.
These are only my reasons as to why i wouldn't want Rhys becoming High King.
Firstly, he said it himself that he didn't want to become High King.
Rhys said tightly, "I don't wish to be High King. I only wish to be here, with my mate and my people.
—Chapter 42, ACOSF
Rhysand already has enough stress and tension ruling the Night Court, keeping control of the Court of Nightmares and the welfare of Velaris. Being High King is only going to add to that stress. He will have to look after an entire continent. The whole of Prythian.
The inner court and him, both have less and less time together because of all their work. Rhys becoming High King will only increase the work load and result in the inner court barely being able to spend time together as a family.
If Rhysand becomes High King with Feyre becoming High Queen (cuz obviously), it will not only put more burden on them but also put their lives, along with the lives of the people they are closest to, aka. the inner court, at risk.
Now think about it. Rhysand's mother and sister were killed cuz of feud between courts and to hurt the Night Court. Here we are talking about Rhys and Feyre being High King and High Queen. There are chances they will always be paranoid about the next attempted hit on them and the people they are closest to.
Many people may not want a High King and a High Court(?) cuz of the power a High Court(?) would hold. There will be hunger for such power from others which will put Rhys and Feyre at constant danger. Beron was super pissed about losing only a kernel of his power to Feyre. Now there definitely will be more like him. Think of the outrage it'll cause to others who will want to hurt Rhys and Feyre.
Rhysand is the most powerful high lord to walk the lands of Prythian and Feyre is the first High Lady who was Made by the power of all seven High Lords and possesses a kernel of each of their powers. With such a parentage, it's highly possible for Nyx to become even stronger than Rhys. Now think of how much danger Nyx will be put in. Nyx probably is Rhysand's heir. Rhys being High King will put a nice big red target on Nyx's back and he probably won't be able to have a normal childhood.
Feyre and Nyx will be at constant danger all the time. Both will have big ol' red targets on each of their backs. To hurt Rhys and to contribute to the downfall of the High King if something were to happen to his mate and child. Again for example, Rhysand's mother and sister. And possibly to make sure there is no heir to the High King so someone else can takeover.
Those are my reasons as to why Rhys shouldn't become High King. But at the end of the day, if there has to be a High King, it most definitely should be Rhys along with Feyre. They are the most deserving ones because of all they've done for Prythian till now.
I honestly won't mind High King Rhysand and High Queen Feyre.

Amren wanting to use the Archeron sisters as the Night Court’s personal weapons and Rhysand still entertaining her will always rub me the wrong way.
In fact, that whole scene from Chapter 42 of ACOSF makes my eye twitch.
Tumblr media
We have Amren saying “Simply don’t volunteer the information,” (*cough* like not telling a pregnant woman about the threat to her life? *cough*) and Rhysand is like “yup! order holds!!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then we have Amren thinking the Made items belong to Rhys, just because they showed up. When none of these items answer to him. Because, uhhh *checks notes*, HE’S NOT MADE!! He would have to risk one of the Archeron sisters lives to use any of the Troves, and then the weapons that Nesta MADE herself do not belong to him at all.
Again, we have Amren speaking on Feyre’s behalf. On her High Lady’s behalf. How so many important conversations happen behind Feyre’s back is actually astounding. Do none of them think to include her or what? C’mon Amren, tell Feyre how you wanna use her and her sisters as weapons. I bet that will bode well 🙃
Tumblr media
FINALLY, Amren just comes out and says it. Her readiness to make the Archeron sisters put their lives on the line so Rhysand can become High King is so???? These girls are not weapons to be used at Amren’s disposal, and I really despise Rhys for even entertaining the idea.
And the fact that SJM made Nesta bow to Amren after this stupid little meeting makes my blood boil. I truly hope that they’re not friends in the future.

The scariest part of acosf wasn’t the blood rite or feyre almost dying or cassian getting controlled by the crown it was actually amren introducing the idea of high king.I already despise the idea of high king so much as it is but RHYS as high king??? Yeah I think I speak for all of prythian when I say I’d rather die than have that happen.

“Easy,” Lucien repeated, and flame sizzled in his russet eye. The flame, the surprising dominance within it, hit Cassian like a stone to the head, knocking him from his need to kill and kill and kill whatever might threaten— Eris bared his teeth at Cassian. “Go sit at your master’s feet, dog.” Cassian stared at him from under lowered brows. Eris’s mouth curled upward, and before he winnowed into the night like a ghost, he said, “Stick to fighting battles, General. Leave the ruling to those capable of playing the game.” Lucien crossed his arms. “How fortunate that you got what you wanted in the end.” Lucien, to his credit, didn’t back away a step. From Rhys, or me, or the Illyrians. The Clever Fox Stares Down Winged Death. The painting flashed into my mind. “Here I was,” Eris said, “thinking Morrigan was going there so often to hide from me.” “Don’t flatter yourself. It’s only coincidence.” He wasn’t sure if the lie held. “Why shouldn’t I flatter myself with such thoughts? You flatter yourself, thinking you’re more than a mongrel bastard.” Lucien threw him a withering look. “I’m not your enemy, you know. You can drop the aggressive brute act.”
Compilation of the Vanserras absolutely flaming the Inner Court (pun intended) It's 👏 giving 👏 High 👏 Lord 👏 Energy👏

The only High King of Prythian I want is Lucien.
He's got connections to so many courts plus a building friendship with the humans. He has experience as an emissary. He is cunning, observant, and tactical. I think he would make such a strong, just, and fair ruler for Prythian and I would love to see him have his time to shine.
And if no High King Lucien, then I want High King Tarquin. Just no High King Rhysand please.

Remember when the Ic thought about making Rhys High King? They said that Tarquin and Thesan would bow to him ( I don't think they would), but what about the other Courts? Tamlin definitely won't, and Beron or Eris also won't. Kallias has no reason to bow to Rhys as he killed a lot of children from his Court, and Helion seems pretty powerful.
But, also, with what army would Rhys crown himself as High King? Because if he tries, there will be a war, but both his armies pretty much hate him (and maybe each other, I don't remember).
I've seen some people saying that Rhys would make a great High King ( I would feel bad for Prytian with a king like Rhysand), and I think someone should remind them that he doesn't have a very loyal army.

Rhysand : Acts like a tyrant for 500 years, tortures and kills people, and is overall a vile person towards anyone other than the IC and Velaris citizens
Rhysand, Feyre and the entire IC when everyone rightfully so!! Hate their guts and distrusts them:

I have a concept for a fanfic that I have to share with someone because I can't get it out of my head, so here goes:
I always see the trope of Amarantha and Rhysand having a daughter, but what if they had a SON.
So, the son was born and died Under the Mountain, Amarantha killed him when he was very young and Rhys never even knew he existed. But, because of the magic that his mother used to trap the High Lords (which is said in the books she doesn't even know what it is or what it does, only that fulfills it's mission) he doesn't die but ends up breaking the barrier between world and falls into another world.
Things happen in between and the boy by chance ends up with his friends in Prythian, and he and Rhys meet. The son ends up living in the Town House, but just part-time because he still spends time with his friends doing their business as people traveling around the multiverse.
To all this, Nyx was already born, the son has hair the color of Amarantha; she killed him leaving him to bleed after tearing off his wings, so now he has scars on his back and since she did not take them out well he suffers from chronic pain because they did not heal well. Rhys doesn't know this, until he sees the scars on his back. Imagine the anguish, his relationship with Nyx which would be a "I wish I had what you have but I want you to have everything at the same time", the drama of succession (because the son is by law of conquest Amarantha's heir and thus could theoretically claim the title of High King of Prithyan if he wishes), And his powers are a consequence of the magic that his mother used when he was born to absorb/eat power and is nicknamed the Cannibal because of that, because he can absorb EVERYTHING from a person if he wants and leave them in ashes.
I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD and I'm thinking about writing it. Any opinions?

I wonder......
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
I was thinking more on the High King storyline.
Tumblr media
I don't think Prythian / the continents / human lands are going to see another war because I do think Elain and Lucien will find a way to secure the peace treaty. It would be strange for ACOWAR to end with them having fought in a major war only to have them fight in another major war on the same lands two / three years later.
But with Bryce's arrival, I do think the Night Court will now be worried about the remaining Daglan / Asteri trying to return to their world for revenge.
With the above excerpts, I wonder if SJM is hinting that those in the Night Court and possibly those in other courts will leave their world to stop any surviving Daglan from entering in future spin-off books. I.e., "Stay with the Night Court and risk your ruin" could foreshadow that if Nesta doesn't leave their world to protect it, the Daglan could reenter and take over once more.
And with the comment that Lucien never wants to fight in another war and the knowledge that Elain seems to be on a path that doesn't involve her becoming a warrior, I wonder if he and Elain will remain behind in Prythian, with Lucien acting as High King (and Elain by his side) over the courts until the others return.
Tumblr media
Fionn wasn't High King during war, he only became High King in lieu of High Lords at that time in an effort to unify the people and prevent another war from occurring.
If the IC and High Lords in other courts have to leave their stations in order to fight a battle elsewhere, that would leave their courts without leadership which would temporarily create the need for a High King once more.

HOUSE OF FLAME AND SHADOW SPOILERS
CC3 chapter 9 spoilers !
Last warning
Tumblr media
OK so disclaimers:
I love Nesta.
I also love Rhys, yes it's possible, yes I feel blessed.
I do believe POV matters, and all povs are biased to some degree. If Feyre has rose glasses for Rhys, and she does, Nesta has black or sth 😂
So, chapter 9 of HOFAS Bryce discusses the political system in Prythian with Nesta, and Nesta says THIS:
Tumblr media
Girlie... WHAAAT? He most certainly does not want that. Where did you get that info? Maybe your pov is a tiny bit biased?
Because THIS is Rhys in Silver Flames, with Amren Cassian and Azriel:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like I said, I love them both
Nesta dropped the ball a bit by saying that to Bryce. No biggie, just my mind made the connection to the whole discussion in SF. She's still an mvp and will be invaluable in CC and the next acotar books
Peace out.
PS: I would accept only one high king in prythian, whose name is LUCIEN VANSERRA.
But I think a high king isn't necessary, and it's a step back for their world.
