I've been sitting on this meme since we got introduced to Yura Takumi. I wanted to watch the episodes based around him before posting just in case I was wrong, but I wasn't. They're really having Shimazaki Nobunaga play Ageha again.

Starmyu season 2 is definitely my favourite anime of all time and the best season. It's the only anime that I'm willing to watch countless on time and still enjoy the show.

Season 1 and Season 3 is pretty average for me and Season 3, for being the final season is pretty weak.

But Season 2 is definitely my favourite. Its entertaining, the story is more focus with good buildup and the characters have a better growth here than the previous season.

Also the story is more focus on the main character Hoshitani Yuta than the previous season so some viewers might get annoyed by him getting the most screentime out of any of their favs so that's the problem for them I guess.

But since my favourite boy is Hoshitani, I thoroughly enjoy his journey throughout this season.

Overall this season is very enjoyable to watch.

Shiki Toma

Both you and Shiki had assignments and final exams to study for. You decided to meet up and study together, since Shiki sometimes got distracted with his Kao Kai work and you just wanted to spend more time together. 

It was quiet as both of you worked, sometimes you mumbled and sometimes Shiki did. It was a comfortable atmosphere between the two of you. 

You looked at one of the equations you were working on. You had already tried solving it a few times, and frustration was digging at you. With a sigh you said, “Shiki, do you know how to solve this?” You pushed the notebook forward, but froze. Shiki’s head had dropped to the table on his arm, and his eyes were shut. His breathing was even as he slept. 

You shook your head. Of course he had fallen asleep. You checked the time on your phone. He had lasted longer than you expected. With a smile you reached out and brushed your fingers in his hair gently. You smiled at his calm expression, the stress lines gone from his face for once. 

You carefully stood and leaned over, pressing your lips softly on his forehead. He shifted slightly, but didn’t open his eyes. 

You silently sighed, then sat down with your notebook again. You stared at the problem on the page. Well, you could come back to it later. 

Sawatari Eigo

It had been a while since you and Eigo had been on a date. You went to a reading cafe for the day, enjoying a day of quiet time together. 

You were on your way back, he was walking you home for the evening; the two of you walking hand in hand. 

A phone rang, and Eigo found that it was his. “Excuse me, it’s Toraishi.” 

“Go ahead,” you said.

“Hello,” he answered. “Yes? He did what?” You glanced at him with concern at his tone. “No– Don’t do anything! I’m coming.” He stopped in his tracks and hung up. 

You turned to him. 

“I’m sorry, but– Tatsumi and the others–” 

You patted his hand, “It’s okay, go.” You smiled. 

He nodded, worry on his face, then turned to head to his dorm. 

You stood watching him go, but he suddenly turned around and rushed toward you. 

You stared at him in confusion. 

He hugged you and pressed his lips to your forehead quickly. “Thank you. I will message you.” 

As quickly as he came, he went again. 

You lifted a hand to your forehead, heat rising to your face. You laughed, then turned around, continuing your way home. It was nice to see Eigo flustered once in a while.

HIRAGI TSUBASA'S CHARACTER ARC IN STARMYU IS JUST SO AMAZING.

In the first few episodes, we get a sense that this dude is super strict. It's after S1 E06 where we learn about his history with Otori Itsuki.

And, yes, I was balling in S1 E09. You can't tell me that their duet wasn't heartbreaking. YOU CAN'T.

What's interesting is the things you CAN'T find in the anime. For example, in SHOWTIME 9, Hiragi has a solo song titled "uncontrol". I realized it after reading the English translation of the lyrics that the song was about his feelings throughout S1 E09. The fact Otori was about to leave him again and he couldn't do anything to stop it, let alone go after him.

In the drama CDs set between S1 E14 and S2 E01, Otori and Hiragi have a conversation about their respective graduation parties held by their students. They, eventually, get to the topic about Hoshitani Yuta and his idol. Both of them know he's been idolizing Otori who is both a bit shy to admit it and he just doesn't want to strip Hoshitani of his dream.

THESE TWO, PLEASE

Hiragi gets the idea that sets the entirety of S2 into motion and, yes, I do mean that twist we get in the post credits scene of S2 E10.

This guy goes from up-tight and strict child of the school's owner to loving younger brother and senpai.

The way they portray this character arc, with or without the Drama CDs and songs, was just brilliant and I'm here for it.
