Can’t stop thinking about how Anthea can briefly and on occasion make the Elpis flower change color because they can feel such big emotions and have all these thoughts happening at once that allow them to manipulate dynamis albeit on a small scale compared to the sundered souls and those with less aether. While they never know it it happens and it’s there and it’s a big reason why they make so many mistakes when it comes to their creation magics. It also saddens me a bit that they never find out and they never know that’s why they just can’t seem to get things right, but it’s their strength too as they created the thing that would save the star thousands of years later.

They forget just how they felt in creating it the first time around but if they did Anthea would surely have broken down and cried. Maybe I should though. Maybe post-Endwalker when they’ve found Hythlodaeus, or their sundered souls have more accurately, and are living together happy and have gotten their memories back when the WoL visits them they recount their adventures and they get to how it was them that told them about the Elpis flower that led to them going to the past wherein Anthea told them about how much doubt they had of themselves and still view it as one of their mistakes despite its beauty, and it’s in this retelling that WoL tells them that it was their creation and passing thought of wanting to make something to embody man which brought it forth helped in saving the star.

Like this whole time even years later they harbored some of that self doubt, having been glad of the sundering, and just thought that nothing much ever came from what they made in the past, to now finding this out just makes them cry and cry and if one of the Elpis flowers were there it wouldn’t glow purple-ish in color because their tears aren’t in sadness but it glows closer to their blue color as a sign of relief, happiness, and admiration type of feeling. And WoL doesn’t just tell them about the Elpis flower but asks of all the things they can remember making and figuring out what is what and telling them about their own experiences with it and what others see and even better that WoL knows about what was on the First as well and can tell Anthea about that too.

Later on WoL is gonna send down a little batch of them from Labyrinthos to have in their garden and for the first time truly see the color that it changes to when Hythlodaeus dances with them in an impulsive, lovey dovey moment….and it’s violet. And it’s okay for it to be because (imo and how I believe it to work/want it to work) the meaning behind it is love, not the sorrow from when it’s first seen to be that color.

#like the flower taking on colors for how the person views emotions and so while there may be some common threads #it’s all different and unique for each person/group of people #because when hyth asks the WoL to show them love it glows a pink color for sib and like a firey red for demos #and for Sib at least when she’s showing the watcher it turns from pink to whatever color it would be for Thancred #and it eventually adapts to having the two colors right in front of their eyes as again last time it did they weren’t looking #and it happened after they had woken up next to each other #and Thancred has higher influence on it since he can’t control or just as easily gain access to his aether anymore #anthea oc #anthea headcanons #x: as long as you exist
