I will never forget about my drive on my way to the Flume Gorge. Driving between the white mountains is an experience I will never forget. And of course, I will never forget the panic attack I had while driving without phone service, for one hour, with nothing else than woods. (I get panic attacks because I become easily disoriented) The landscape was amazing, no doubt that New Hampshire is one of the states with the best mountains on the East Coast.
7.5 miles, ~2,500 feet of elevation gain for an elevation of 4,802': about 3ºF on summit with windchill. Cold and difficult, but absolutely gorgeous and worth it for that incredible undercast and rime ice!
King’s Ravine from Durand Ridge on Mount Adams in the White Mountains of New Hampshire
#KingsRavine is a prominent glacially-carved feature located on the eastern side of Mount Adams in the #WhiteMountains of #NewHampshire, USA. This rugged and steep ravine is known for its challenging terrain and is a popular destination for hikers and mountaineers.
The ravine is named after the American Revolutionary War soldier Colonel Nathaniel King, who was an early explorer of the area. It is characterized by its steep cliffs, waterfalls, and a challenging #hikingtrail known as the “King Ravine Trail” that provides access to the alpine zone of #MountAdams.
Overall it wasn't a bad hike, but we got to a point where we had to get into very steep stairs and rocks were falling, so we made the decision to do not continue the hike.
