Hi, so I don't know want to come across as rude, but where are you getting this impression that the popular obikin fandom trend for Anakin is for him to be a himbo disaster? Like yes, I've definitely seen that in the fandom, but I wouldn't say the majority take that view. Mostly I see the fandom writing him as possessive, competent, angry, volatile, and complex. I see both 'popular' and 'non popular' writers writing him with a mixture of these characteristics, and I think it's a bit offensive that you're saying popular writers in the fandom tend to only write him in one way, because I don't see that at all and I check the ao3 tag everyday.

I also find it quite rude that you seem to think that the less 'popular' writers and their work are any less loved in the fandom. I still love, read, rec and talk about these fics, and it is the community's responsibility as a whole to spread the love for those fics. So why not rec some yourself? Why not write something that may not necessarily be 'popular' by fandom standards and you may find a handful of people who agree with you and you'll make some great friends? Why not build your catalogue of your preferred characterisation and maybe it'll become the norm? Why not do any of these things instead of disregarding and disrespecting the hundreds of writers who do do those things, and do it because they love obikin and not because they want to be popular.

TBH, anon, I don't advise my way of thinking for anyone else. It's mine and probably a product of my own anxiety, and I wouldn't encourage anyone to share in it.

This is just how I think of stats. I honestly don't know how else to think of them. Like, if I have an Obikin memory loss fic fic that gets twenty kudos, but there's another Obikin memory loss fic with two thousand kudos, the only objective conclusion to me is that this other fic is more loved than mine. Now, there might be another reason for that: the other author might be a better writer, or maybe their fic leaned into the trope more in a way the audience preferred, or maybe they used more popular characterization. But to me, it's a no-brainer in this situation that the more popular fic is more loved by fandom.

But this mindset is only something I apply to myself. I'm never going to look at someone else's work and go, "Wow, twenty kudos, clearly no one loves you." And I would encourage anyone else to back away from that kind of thinking, because believe me, it's not helpful.

Why not write something that may not necessarily be 'popular' by fandom standards and you may find a handful of people who agree with you and you'll make some great friends? Why not build your catalogue of your preferred characterisation and maybe it'll become the norm?

Honestly, anon, because I think I'll fail. I'd love to have people to brainstorm competent!Anakin Obikin stories with, or to be able to jump into a chat about what your favorite rarely-mentioned talent of Anakin's is from either Legends or canon. But so many times before, in both different fandoms and in this one, I set out to write a fic I thought for sure people would enjoy and that I'd find a friendship or two through it, only for it to bomb and no one to want to acknowledge it. And I was just left mortified by my failure and never wanting to repeat the experience.

And I know this is a me issue, to an extent. I know it's not normal to have so much anxiety over fic writing, but I don't know what to do. I constantly feel like I'm doomed to fail whenever I start a new fic, because I know I'm not good at giving the fandom what it wants, and I know that I'll see that reflected in my stats and then have to face how much fandom doesn't want me writing the ideas I want to write most. I write for fandom fic exchanges, and I see certain requests by the same people popping up over and over in different in exchanges, asking for Obikin or another pairing or a gen prompt. And each time, I so badly want to write the prompt or pairing for them, and sometimes start fics to give to the person requesting that pairing, but then I always chicken out because I'm too worried that my fic will disappoint them and that I'll have to see another fic fail.

I don't know what to do to put an end to this way of thinking/acting. Every New Year, my resolution is to write more, to increase my fic output, but I can never convince myself that anyone truly wants to see fics by me, so I'm just left paralyzed about wanting to write but knowing I'll inevitably write the wrong thing. And then I get nothing accomplished. I feel resigned that the same thing is going to happen this year, and I don't know how to prevent it.

I still love, read, rec and talk about these fics, and it is the community's responsibility as a whole to spread the love for those fics.

And I thank you for it, nonny. Sincerely and without snark. I wish more people in fandom were like you and willing to give fics a chance even if they're not popular or already being recced all over the place. I genuinely appreciate you for what you're doing.

Cassian Andor:

Cassian Andor is one of the greatest characters in all of Star Wars, and for me it's because he's not a typical hero. He's a spy, he's an assassin, he's whatever he needs to be for the defeat of the Empire and the freedom of the common people of the galaxy. And every fight for freedom has to have people like that. Cassian excels at it and he's hot as hell to boot. He's the James Bond of space, but better, because what he's fighting for - and willing to die for - are the downtrodden, the forgotten, the enslaved. He can be ruthless if he has to be, but he's full of compassion and pain and self-doubt, and that makes him compelling. He understands suffering because he has suffered.

Obi-Wan Kenobi:

Obi-Wan is the ultimate Jedi: empathetic, selfless, courageous, wise. How could anyone not love a man who has lost so much, had his heart ripped out of his chest so many times, and still remains good, kind, and patient? He also makes suffering look incredibly sexy.

Anakin Skywalker:

That ugh is expressed with the greatest possible affection. I adore Anakin, the way you adore a wild, possibly rabid, raccoon rampaging through your backyard, doing parkour off your trees and deck and shed and tearing trash out of your bin. You can't help but watch, fascinated, the inevitable disaster. He's an idiot, he's a sad meow meow, he's a himbo, he's a feral Lost Boy in space, and he becomes the most tragic, most iconic, greatest character in Star Wars. For me, the core of all Star Wars is what I call The Tragedy of Anakin Skywalker, a Shakespearean fall that is as epic as it is horrifying.

Everyone, I literally can't choose

League of Legends:

Lux because Lightcanon, I love it and the KDA group

The Locked Tomb:

Harrow and Gideon, they're pretty much the only ones I write

Frozen:

Elsa, I can't help it, she gives me ace vibes so of course I'd latch onto her

Epithet Erased:

Zora, she'd damn chaotic and has fun with it, how could I not love writing her

Hades:

Zag, Meg and Thanatos, most of the time with them together, they all work so well together so why separate them

Adrien, Kagami and Juleka, one is a cinnamon roll who I can write so much angst for, the other could probably kill you if she wanted but I like her having a soft spot for her friends, and Juleka is just... deadpan funny, and can obliterate people in ONE PUNCH, I like that contrast

Rex, Maul, The Bad Batch, Anakin, Din Djarin, Finn and Poe, again I feel like there's something for everyone here

The Arcana:

Muriel and Lucio, one is a hot himbo, I love a hot himbo, and the other one is an absolute bastard, polar opposites yet somehow my faves to write

Ayato, I love him the most of all the brothers so I just write him the most

Hi Tenness welcome back to tumblr! I see your already on your cliff hanger angst shenanigans :D, I didn't espect the omega Ani/feral alpha Obi twist at the gala I'm excited to see what you have planned next.

But I have to say why I'm i onlu finding out about the pirate au now because these is F-ing gold pirates yeah! Abo universe yes yes yes, Obi Wan being a himbo that loves Ani bless. Aww I imagine Obi Wan kissing Ani nose which becomes a tradition of theirs, Obi trying to kiss away the pain he cause Ani in the past but also I guess for Ani he sees his broken nose as a significant moment where Obi Wan came back for him. Oh and specking of pirates these au reminded me of these women pirate icon, here's a link with some lovable dorks recapping these women life as a pirate and how she makes a name for herself.

(in no particular order)

The Padawan's Purpose by EirianErisdar (G, 1/1, drabble) - on the night of order 66, an unnamed padawan tries to get some younglings to safety out of the jedi temple, and does his duty in standing up to the sith. HOLY FUCK. this is THE most profound and haunting piece of literature in the ENTIRE english language, and you can't convince me otherwise. oh my god.

A Skeleton of Something More by asparagus_writes (T, 1/1, 8k) - being pregnant with force-sensitive twins makes padmé a little force-sensitive herself. this is such a haunting and beautiful fic!!!

everything I have ever learned by @fialleril (G, 2/2, 12k) - a fandom classic. character study of luke. the tatooine worldbuilding in this is amazing!

The Emperor Skywalker Conspiracy by loosingletters (G, 1/1, 3.1k) - a look into the holonet's reaction to the destruction of the second death star and end of the empire, specifically where the heck did luke skywalker come from and what does he have to do with vader? this is one of the funniest things i've ever read.

Civil Wars, Whistleblower Tactics, Schematic Drafting, And The Finer Points Of Sith Adoption: The Essential How-To Guide For The Engineering Jedi by @jackdaw-kraai (T/M, ongoing series, 731k+) - luke lars (last name actually skywalker, but that's not something he shares with most people) gets a job aboard vader's ship the executor when vader notices his space youtube channel about mechanics. cue political intrigue, assassination attempts, top-notch worldbuilding, and lots of father-son bonding from luke and vader, who have no idea they're father and son. dramatic irony is my favorite writing device, and i am OBSESSED with this series.

Dear Force by mrv3000 (G, 6/6, 16k) - anakin is a himbo, and this results in none of palpatine's schemes going to plan. this fic is so funny, i reread it whenever i need a laugh.

Higher Ground/Middle Ground by @hinerdsitscat (G, 8/8, 18k) - obi-wan saves anakin on mustafar. this, of course, changes everything. obianidala. gosh i love this fic! obi-wan is so well characterized and i adore his interactions with luke and leia!

Ghost Granddad by orphan_account (G, completed series, 11k) - rey isn't alone on jakuu--instead, she's raised by her grandparents, who happen to be ghosts. i don't give a shit about the sequel trilogy, this is my canon. so so good!!

lose me in the crowds at twighlight by philthestone (G, 1/1, 3.4k) - several months into her pregnancy, during a trip to corellia, padmé catches a young boy trying to pickpocket her, and takes him to lunch. BRO. THIS IS CANON. wdym this never happened? padmé & han is the dynamic i never knew i needed.

no one can stop me, not even gravity or nasa by magneticwave (G, 1/1, 8.5k) - leia is pregnant. she and han argue about it, a lot. luke is there too. give it up for some of the best star wars characterization in fic ever!! this is the best.

just to hear the nightbird singin' by philthestone (T, 1/1, 4k) - modern au. halfway through summer break, luke decides to drag leia (and han) on a quest across the country to try and find their biological father. the way that the elements of the ot are transported into this modern au is actually genius. i love this fic to bits.

Children of Liberty by Quiet_Shadow (T, 1/1, 10k) - padmé survives, regroups with her handmaidens, and starts the rebellion. this prose is amazing!! i am a padmé survives fic connoisseur, and i'm pretty sure this is the best one.

Someone's little sister by softmoonlight (M, 1/1, 1.4k) - as the newly-born vader ravages his way through the jedi temple during order 66, he comes across a togruta youngling, who is the last survivor among her classmates. cue copious amounts of angst. the tragedy of this is so good!

father hear my cry (and may the demons guard you) by serenlyall (M, 1/1, 5.2k) - this one is dark. officers attempt to rape leia while she's held prisoner on the death star, but darth vader comes to her rescue just in time. like i said, dark, but the prose and realism of the premise make it compelling.

without knowing how, or when, or where by rain_sleet_snow (G/T, ongoing series, 20k+) - after bringing luke to the larses, obi-wan becomes closer to both owen and beru. the premise is awesome and the characterization is really great!!

talk about a notable time a narrative or character has looked you dead in the eyes and said “fuck your plan, here’s what we’re actually doing.”

the only thing that comes to mind atm is actually the reverse of this. a character told me "i'm not doing that," i said "yes you are," and the character said "no i'm not and your story is DEAD now." it's been about a million years since i worked on it so i don't even remember what it was. the fandom was star wars, i remember that much...

what is the plot bunny you’ve been carrying for the longest? optional bonus question: do you ever wonder why you haven’t written it yet and experience deep existential dread?

i'm not sure, tbh. my foodless bubble city concept has finally been put to use in a fanfic, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ maybe my reverse aladdin plot bunny? had that one for a while. no existential dread bc, like, it's neat, but i'm having fun with other stuff

at what point in the process do you come up with titles, and how easy or hard is that for you?

there must be a title or the story is not written down. period. even if the title is boring or lame or doesn't quite make sense, it Must have a title or it stays in my head

my standards are not high, tho. i'll name it a word in the story's epigraph, a suitable verb/adjective/noun, a phrase from the song that inspired it, etc.

the weirdest one off the top of my head is also probably my weirdest ship, obi-wan/shmi. i started shipping them when i realized they were relatively close in age, had to raise anakin, and never met in canon. it started as, idk, kind of a joke? but now i'm kinda into it

14. favorite feel-good show?

cobra kai. 100%. i love that fucking show sO much. it's silly goofy 80s fun and then BAM hurts my feelings. 12/10 would recommend if you like pain, suffering and a shit ton of himbos. i keep thinking about rewatching s5 but honestly i ought to rewatch the whole damn thing. i've been getting nostalgic for the first two seasons again and i'm even thinking about rewatching the karate kid trilogy. a karate war is actually something that can be so personal.

21. if you could tell your past self one thing, what would it be?

you're not going to have everything figured out by the time you're 18, and that's okay. you're never going to have everything figured out. just take it one day at a time and understand that you're constantly going to be learning new things as you grow and change, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

22. what would you say to your future self?

i'm so proud of you.

27. which character would you want to be?

samwise gamgee. honourary mention daniel larusso given the way s5 of cobra kai ends, but i've been thinking about sam and frodo nonstop after having rewatched lotr again and how they both come to terms with their trauma (they mention weathertop specifically but just in terms of the whole journey from the shire to mordor) and that BOTH of them are incredibly valid for how they deal with it. frodo still struggles with the weight of what happened, even four years later, and it's valid! it's so so valid and realistic in a way that is reminiscent of tolkein's own experience as a soldier and that those experiences never really, truly leaves you. and yet you have sam, who would still have ptsd from what happened, but he's also allowed to move on. he's allowed to have dealt with it and marry rosie and start a family. both are equally valid for their experiences, but there is something so hopeful about sam having learned how to reconcile his trauma. we see this a little bit at the end of s5 of cobra kai with daniel larusso after his fight with terry silver, and you also have it with obi-wan kenobi, who i also considered putting on this list, because by the time we meet him in a new hope, he has come to terms with what happened in his lifetime. obi-wan kenobi (series) colours in the years between revenge of the sith and a new hope and, particularly after his fight with anakin, is able to start working towards closure and wisdom and become the wise old man we see in a new hope who is at peace with himself, so yeah. i'd probably go with sam, but i'd also say daniel or obi-wan.

So Attack of the Clones is my favorite Star Wars movie. I will never say it’s the best (not by any means), but it’s my favorite.

Anyways, I have a proposed cut that I think would make for a better film and a way more enjoyable experience: we never see anything Anakin and Padme get up to. Obiwan sees them off, and then we don’t see or hear from them again until they’re being charioted into the arena kissing.

This would make as much sense as any of the “build up” to their relationship.

#aotc is my fav bc of ani and obi’s buddy cop routine and kamino. I see a lot of Star Wars High School AUs nowadays, see how they portray Anakin, and I might wheeze

They tend to portray my man as some confident jock or himbo of some kind who thinks he's one of the best in class but really isn't. I blame TCW for this

Anyway, here's how I would have it would be...

Anakin would be the very intelligent and physically capable kid who consistently tops classes related to technology, science, and physical education, probably getting A+. For the rest, he'll probably get somewhere around A- and B.

He's very handsome, and a lot of the girls are into him. He realized this quite some time ago. He never takes advantage of this though and doesn't boast about it. What he doesn't realize is that a lot of the girls like to ask him for help just so they can talk to him and be on the receiving end of his unconscious romanticism.

When it comes to his role in class, he is generally very helpful and takes on a lot more responsibilities than he has to in group work, to the point where he carries the group and maybe even swallows more than he can chew. He doesn't often run for a class officer, but if he ran for anything, he'd almost always win the election. If he ends up running for one, it's usually sergeant-at-arms. He ran for Class President thrice in his life and was elected all three times: he thought it was neat at first, meh at second, and thought it was too much for him the third time, but really, he did very well in all three times.

He's generally quiet and reserved and has a small social circle. He turns down a lot of the girls who ask him out under the guise of him wanting to focus more on his studies, but numerous people know it's really just because he's into the Class President from another class.

That Class President is, of course, our beloved Padmé who has kept her liking for him quiet for most of the years, but eventually, they grow close enough together and finally decide to admit it. Maybe they might not realize this, but they'd be the popular kids without even trying not long after people learn that they're together.

Many thought that they might be the stereotypical student power couple who only interact with their large-ass circle and have a sense of shadiness, but really, they're the opposite: they'll gladly help you if you need to, they're romantic with one another, they're friendly, and they have a tendency to act as your teacher/parent without even knowing it

Because of Padmé, Anakin would find himself having a lot of female friends (I headcanon that he gets along with a lot of the handmaidens unlike most others, and he'd be their favorite guy friend). If he had to choose between them and his original social circle, he'd choose the original more often than not, but he's glad he knows of some lovely ladies who will always have his back

Yessss to both of these!

Ok we'll go with Thorn first:

First impression I honestly don't remember seeing him the first time I watched TCW. I have now gone back and rewatched that arc several times so it was probably something like Fierce Man, Protective, Look at his large gun, strong man

Impression now Fierce man, strong man, look at his large gun and he definitely pines for Amidala, love his voice, it's on the grittier end of the clone accent spectrum I think

Favorite moment I'd be remiss if I didn't say the bit when he screams "For the Republic!" as he goes out in a blaze of glory. It's such a tragically beautiful and dramatic moment (and the atmosphere/animation in that scene is gorgeous). Yes I know it's also when he dies but he did it gloriously!

Idea for a story He survives getting shot, he's taken to hospital when they're back on Coruscant, Padme comes to visit and thanks him for protecting her, she continues to visit, love blooms, secret romance part 2 (or 3 if you count Sabé) for Padmé, things get complicated

Unpopular opinion I don't know if I have one? I haven't seen too many takes on Thorn so not sure? Maybe that he's naturally dark blond? But even that I don't know if it's unpopular

Favorite relationship Padme, also he's close with Fox who is not easy to be close to

Favorite headcanon uh....lol...the romance I've built in my head between him and Padme, that he's larger than the average clone, he's blond, he's smart but exudes himbo energy to keep people at a distance and unable to guess what he's really like And Hunter!

First impression RAMBO he's RAMBO, look at this Rambo looking' mofo could they be any more obvious??

Impression now With the new episodes: Dad...he's a dad...boogie-woogie-woogie

Favorite moment In season 7 when Rex and Anakin are having that head jerk conversation about doing the thing (going to comm Padmé) and he looks between the two of them in confusion and definitely doesn't think Rex and Anakin are sleeping together

Idea for a story I don't have any cuz while he's a fine character, I don't think much about him beyond the show because Tech comes on the screen and that's my weekend

Unpopular opinion I don't think I have one? I'm somewhat indifferent to Hunter...would that count as an unpopular opinion, maybe?

Favorite headcanon That his "advanced abilities" are actually untapped/un-diagnosed (is that even the right word?) Force sensitivity, that Crosshair is pretty much his second-in-command and he confides in him the most which makes it more devastating when Crosshair gets reconditioned...hmm guess I think about him a bit more than I thought... I’ll sell you my first born to hear about Vader playing matchmaker for Luke because he thinks Luke is lonely. Because I feel like when Vader is picking a boyfriend for Luke head strong mandalorian is not an ideal candidate

One would think that! And at first, Vader would too. But!

Vader does not want someone who is terrified of Luke nor super terrified of him (it needs to be the right amount of scared) and for sure no one who is just looking to get the Emperor's (cause now I am in The Rod is Mightier than the Lightsaber AU apparently) pocket and safety and who would use Luke and not have feelings for him. Vader does want someone who will love Luke after all (though of course, it's Luke--what sort of insane person wouldn't love his baby boy??) so having someone who is headstrong and would put Luke before Vader is something he would be interested.

We all cannot deny, Vader is a romantic. He has too much Anakin in him and too much love for Padme. I mean, many of us saw the prequels. We know of the comics. The Clone Wars! We can't Anakin is smooth, he's Anakin he has to have some awkwardness, but the man was romantic. He wanted candlelight dinners, long walks, just speaking softly under moonlight. If he wasn't so bad at it he would write poetry (he did, Padme giggled which left him laughing), he was the one who was willing and ready to swoon when his wife did anything remotely amazing. He'd massage her shoulders and back and feet when she was pregnant and feel honored in being allowed to do so. He probably knew all her favorite foods and got them for her on special occasion. We can say all we want about his dark-side, but the guy was INTO romance and had the potential to be the best husband ever. Cause every time he saw Padme, literally, he fell in love all over again.

And he wants Luke to have someone the way Anakin looked at Padme. Who would break all types of laws and rules for him.

So basically, Anakin is looking for someone who has a bit of him in them.

Vader probably asked point blank, "Men or women?"

And Luke is all, "Uh...guys? Why? Dad...why? Dad, what are you doing. Don't. Don't you dare try to find me a boyfriend. Don't you dare!"

Vader also took some points on what Luke likes (he's not going in completely blind) but Vader is the one who is making a bullet-list which is probably like:

Strong, intelligent, a bit of a himbo, loves/wants family, good with kids, protective, loyal, loves fiercely, will kick anyone's ass for their loved ones, doesn't care for sand, maybe amoral (or willing to do whatever to get the job done), doesn't hold Luke's parentage against him, can hate Vader but understands Vader is in charge, has some spunk (to keep up with Luke and his dangerous and adventurous ways), protective, not care about Light or Dark, can handle stressful situations, best be good with ships, be an excellent pilot, protective, is life-wise (understands the brutality of the galaxy to help with Luke's still present naivety), probably best if has little info/understanding of the Empire, and did he mention protective?

I dunno...sounds a bit like Din to me XD

Hey so I was rewatching birds of prey, as you do while procrastinating, and I’m like obsessed with the scene where Black Mask sees Dinah fight, and I really want to write a fic where Anakin is a singer at Mobi-wan’s club, and Obi-Wan considers Anakin his in the way he considers all of his employees his some way or another, and Anakin is pretty and Obi definitely enjoys his voice, but then one night Cody gets attacked and Anakin just bears the guy bloody, licks the blood off his split knuckles and Obi-wan is like *fanning himself* oh I’m keeping him forever, he’s mine, mine now, who knew the little song bird had it in him but Anakin doesn’t actually know who *Obi-Wan* is beyond his boss because let’s be real this boy is head empty, no thoughts, only Ashoka, fighting and school on the brain, an unhinged himbo if you will, and I’m definitely very much inspired by Pretty Bird and the Mob Boss (it’s currently my favorite series!! I’m obsessed with your writing and obikin dynamics), so a lot of it would definitely be in a similar vein, a fic of a fic if you will, and I wanted to know if you would be okay with me writing? It’s totally okay if you aren’t! I’d credit you, of course but I wanted to see if you’d be okay with it first before I do anything since I can’t claim in the slightest that you did not spark me rewatching birds of prey or the idea of this au!

Hey! So I think the line is really tricky for me as the author to walk because, to be very fair and very honest, yep, Pretty Bird and the Mob Boss is absolutely taken from Birds of Prey and specifically many facets of Ewan Mcgregor's role there. And there are things I didn't include or change in order to make it feel like my own (Anakin isn't a singer, Obi-Wan isn't Black Mask level of unhinged, etc etc). It informed me in the setting of the club, the suit Obi-Wan wears in the first fic, etc etc but I think it's, you, know, it's still very different.

I absolutely do not own Birds of Prey or that fight scene you're talking about inspiring you! (And obviously, since it's fanfic, I don't own any of it lol)

But I think, the other side of that line is....I think you'd have a much more interesting and fun time of it if you stepped more outside of the Mobi-Wan verse. My mob fic is absolutely not the only way to write a mob fic. It's not even the only way to write a Birds of Prey fic. It's probably just something you've read a lot and interacted with a lot (and thank you for that!!! i'm so glad you liked it!!!) but it's absolutely not even like the best way to tell a story!!

Why does Cody have to be in the mob (and i'm assuming Obi-Wan's right hand)? Why does Ahsoka have to be Anakin's sister? Why does he have to even be in school? Why does he have to be an unhinged, bloodthirsty himbo? These aren't things I feel comfortable telling you not to include, because I don't own them and they're all popular tropes, but I think you could write a brilliant mob fic where Obi-Wan sees Anakin fighting from the window, and Anakin seems to know that eyes are on him so he turns and waves in a idk sultry manner and it makes Obi-Wan intrigued at his backstory. Anakin could have the twins to take care of instead of Ahsoka. Anakin could be hard to get, Anakin could be sometimes working for other clubs, Anakin could be approached by a detective and offered a lot of money to spy on Obi-Wan. If he takes the deal, there could be a story there about giving up his honor because he can't give up Obi-Wan by the time he's gotten close to him. Or if he doesn't take the deal, there could be a story there where he goes to Obi-Wan immediately to tell him and Obi-Wan rewards him with a higher position in the mob or something.

I think, bottom line is. You can do better than Pretty Bird. That story, as much as I love it to death, is already told. I would love to see you do something with the same characters in the same sort of setting, with a gentle reminder that nothing is actually pinned down or set in place. Don't put Cody in at all. Use the Jedi as members of the mob instead. Involve detectives.

The Birds of Prey movie is a big production and part of a huge universe, the same as Star Wars. There's going to be more crossover than the iterations of the characters that are Mobi-Wan and Pretty Bird, and I think it would be much more fun for me at least to see what else someone has done with the similar concepts!

oh god, this is embarrassing ahahaha

First fandom was YuGiOh, my first ship was Yami/Yuugi.

It was everything my lonely 11 year old self needed! The smart kid who collects outcast friends. The sexy, confident protective spirit that lives inside of his head, witnessing his pain as no real person could, understanding him and accepting him completely. And of course Yuugi growing under Yami’s guidance to become his best self that he didn’t believe he could be.

It was such a sweet ship, what happened to me? (Oh right, adulthood xD)

26. Characters that you like in every dynamic (lovers,friends,enemies)

Ah, I’m a basic bitch when it comes to this. Tony and Loki obviously.

But digging deeper than that.... Thor & Bruce oddly enough? I dug that ship all the way back in 2012 and I still like it today. As friends they have this great double himbo energy that’s really fun, Ragnarok gave us some spicy stuff to explore on the angst/enemy side, and of course they’re adorable as lovers.

Bruce being able to relax totally knowing that the Hulk can’t hurt Thor <3 Thor being with someone patient enough to explain when he’s being a jerk <3 <3 Thor’s genuine care diffusing Bruce’s temper when things get prickly <3 <3 <3

It’s just great.

32.Favourite ship for hurt-comfort

You know, I used to be all about Loki whump, but these days I find it just makes me sad and exhausted. It’s been a real problem in my reading, I’ve been struggling to get through stories that hooked me hard with the premise.

Meditating on it, I think my heart is just weary of seeing him constantly miserable and abused after so many years. It kind of feels like I’m holding him hostage in the worst moment of his life and never allowing him to move forward. And I’m ready to see him happy.

So I’ve had to turn to other fandoms for it, and it’s been a mix.

Obi Wan is a perennial favorite for hurt comfort. I favor emotional H/C over physical so the guilt and regret with Obi Wan is delicious. The fact that he caused his own demise and enabled Anakin’s never gets old to me.

F. Schubert/F. Liszt - Serenade in D minor by ArchieHabian comes to mind.

Anders is great because his internal conflict is personified by a spirit possessing him, so there’s this great clarity to H/C fics with him. The enemy isn’t this nebulous misbelief like in a conventional romance, it’s this literal being in his head demanding that he seek Justice for the wrongs of society.

It’s a really great metaphor for perfectionism, and having a lover tell him that it’s okay to rest, that he’s a good person even if he doesn’t save the entire world, maaaaan it soothes something really raw inside me. I love it!

LOL I am actively struggling with Sylvie/Loki for this reason, because they are SOOOO good both ways.

Luckily I’ve found a harmonious solution in Queerplatonic Relationship dynamics.
