━━ KUROO

kenma was not a good wingman. at all.

but he tried his best </3

which was why he had invited both you and kuroo to hang out with him, the three of you were friends after all

kenma had planned on “accidentally” locking you two in a room together

what kenma hadn’t planned on was kuroo embarrassing himself before kenma even had the chance to put his plan in action

kuroo was crouched on the floor trying to fix kenma’s gaming system (god knows why it chose today to eat the game card)

he was completely unaware you were standing behind him and, somehow, in his peripheral he had assumed you were kenma’s desk chair

reaching behind himself to grab the chair and pull it over so he could sit in it, his eyes and one hand were still occupied

the other hand was now on your ass

it doesn’t register in his mind at first, he just knows that whatever he’s grabbing it isn’t the chair he thought

he literally turns his head slowly and when he looks at you hes like 😃

“ahah whoops”

“i’m so sorry, i was reaching for the chair”

“kuroo your hand is still on my ass”

he takes his hand away and then apologizes again but there is no hope for him, not when he is red to the tips of his ears

not to mention kenma, who is snickering a few feet away from the cataclysm that just unfolded infront of him

bokuto koutarou: king of not paying attention to what he is doing

especially not around you, he’s so focused on being perfect to impress you that he often ends up ignoring the minor things — the things that make you realize just how clumsy but sweet he actually is

you’d went to watch him at practice, who were you to turn him down when he said you were welcome to come?

plus, the entire team knew about his crush (it was hard not to with how much he talked about you) and they wanted to meet the person who always made their captain so starstuck and giddy

his eyes were focused on the volleyball court; he couldn’t look at you, he was putting on a serious act in hopes that you’d like him

that’s why when he reached behind himself for a volleyball he accidentally grabbed your ass

immediately realizes what he’s done, turns around and starts apologizing

he gets all pouty as well. he thinks you won’t like him now, even worse he thinks he’s offended you and now you hate him

“i didn’t mean- y/n, i swear i was grabbing a ball, i would never- :(((“

━━ IWAIZUMI

hajime iwaizumi: king of not paying attention to what he’s doing part 2

it’s not that he’s inherently oblivious to everything, he just. notices what needs to be noticed and passes over everything else

but he hadn’t heard you walk into the gym, hadn’t seen you sit on the bench in front of him when he knelt down beside his gym bag

oikawa knew you were there, so of course he smiled and loudly called “iwa-chan!”

iwaizumi, of course, went to stand up and grabbed at the bench to help himself

the bench he didn’t realize you were sitting on

so when he grabbed your waist, he also was pulling you to him. unintentionally, of course, but he was doing it nonetheless

which ended up with you falling (or rather, being dragged) off the bench and into iwa’s lap

both of you have to take a moment to process what just happened

eventually you both come to the realization that you’re sitting between his legs with his hands still somewhat on your hips and somewhat on your ass

he doesn’t want to push you off of him, but you’re currently still trying to process the situation and not moving

so he takes his hands from under your ass and slips away from behind you

“i uhm... i’m sorry, y/n. i didn’t see you, i thought i was grabbing the bench-”

“it’s alright iwa! accidents happen.”

he’ll never admit that he’s blushing. oikawa, makki, and mattsun laughing does not help the red tint in his cheeks though

bokuto is a good wing man!! or at least he thinks he is 😀

but he had successfully talked you into coming to practice with him and akaashi

there wasn’t much convincing to do though, considering you had had a crush on akaashi for ages and would jump at any opportunity to be around him

but nevertheless, akaashi was setting for bokuto as always. the bin of volleyballs he always had was right beside him

...except it was on the opposite side he was used to, being that bokuto had insisted it be moved so you could stand near akaashi

he reached behind himself for a ball, but accidentally grabbing your ass instead

he realizes his mistake as soon as hes made it

even though he takes his hand back and is already stumbling out an apology, he has to turn and look at you because oh my god he did not just do that,,, oh no he did

eventually he manages to sting enough words together that it sounds something like an apology — he is sorry, he’s just far too embarrassed by what just happened to form a proper sentence

“it’s ok! don’t worry, things happen. i know you didn’t mean it” and suddenly akaashi knows that hes in deep

“uhm- yeah, sorry again. maybe you can just hand me the balls from now on ok?”

━━ KAGEYAMA

either kageyama was going to kill hinata or hinata was going to kill him, he didn’t mind which came first

hinata had invited both of you to a restaurant with him, and then ditched just as soon as you and kageyama had both arrived

of course, to you it was just bad timing. to kageyama however, he knew this was hinata’s attempt to get you to closer

kageyama tobio, who had no clue how to talk to his crush, was going to sit in a restaurant alone with you

much to his surprise though, he found himself enjoying your company. you were much kinder and easier to talk to than he had imagined in his mind, that much was clear

but of course he had to mess up. and of course it was in the most (though unintentional) perverted way

he reached to hold the door open for the people behind you whenever you were leaving but had miscalculated where you were walking

meaning he had his hand rested on your ass instead of the door

he jerks his hand back like a man scalded almost as soon as it happens

he’s stuttering and mumbling out an apology as well. it’s barely coherent, but you were laughing too hard anyways

please stop laughing he wants nothing more than to crawl into a hole and never have to face you again

Daichi’s Birthday “Wake”

↳ I had this idea and couldn't wait 8 months for Daichi's bday so fuck it, here it is. Happy early birthday to Daichi.

↳ Notes/Warnings: timeskip!Daichi, Daichi is 21+ years old, playful/joking mention of necrophilia, death and death-related themes (fucking spoilers), those with a distaste for morbid senses of humor are likely to find this reprehensible, otherwise you're welcome.

You and Suga are the masterminds behind it all

Old teammates and friends are invited

Hell, y’all even get his siblings in on it (his parents think it’s a hilarious scheme but decline to attend since it would be too difficult to play along. Understandably so.)

When Coach Ukai caught wind of the plan he insisted on being there

All in all, about 30 people gather inside your and Daichi’s shared home

Everyone’s wearing black and several of you have handkerchiefs

There are drinks and refreshments

Everyone chipped in to buy a cheap urn and one of those huge funeral wreaths and a tripod with a tasteful plaque that reads “In Loving Memory of Daichi Sawamura”, compliments of Hisoka

You and Suga lay down the ground rules: “Absolutely ignore Daichi, no matter what. If he starts getting to you, excuse yourself to the restroom so he’ll leave you alone. Try your very best not to laugh, but if you do lose your shit and start laughing, pretend you’re crying really hard. We’re going to keep this up for a half hour, minimum. Or until Daichi starts getting mad, whichever comes first. When (Y/n) gives us the signal, we’ll all turn to Daichi at the same time and yell ‘Happy Birthday!’ What’s the signal, (Y/n)?” “The signal is…CACAW CACAW!”

Daichi comes home from work, expecting a party when he sees everyone’s cars in the driveway and parked along the road. But his big grin falters when he walks through the door and sees everyone moping around, talking in hushed tones about what a great guy he was, just…

KAGS: “Daichi was always so good at pulling people together. He truly was an excellent team captain.”

SUGA, fake-sobbing: “He was my best friend. Oh gods, I already miss him so much!”

DAICHI, his expression knitted in confusion and concern: “Suga. What’s going on? Who died?”

SUGA, fake-sobbing (read: laughing) harder: “It’s like I can still hear his voice…”

TSUKKI: (legit laughs)

COACH UKAI: “Tsukishima, you sick fuck, why are you laughing? This is serious!”

DAICHI, chuckling: “Okay. Alright, I get it. I’m dead ha ha.”

TANAKA, shaking his fist and gritting his teeth with tears in his eyes: “I’ll never be able to forgive myself…”

KIYOKO: “That you didn’t call the receive that day will haunt you for the rest of your life…”

TANAKA: “Savage woman!”

DAICHI: “Yeah, Tanaka. You asshole.”

TANAKA: (buries his face in his hands, racked with laughter guilt)

…Daichi notices the memorial plaque with his police academy photo in it, along with the giant wreath hanging from the fireplace just below where the urn sits on the mantle. He opens it with great curiosity…”REALLY, YOU GUYS? RICE??”

DAICHI’S 4 SURVIVING SIBLINGS: “The best big brother we could’ve ever asked for.” “He always took such great care of us.” “Yes. Made sure we always did our homework and brushed our teeth. It was like having a third parent.” “Maybe that’s why Mom and Dad had so many of us. It really takes a village, doesn’t it?” The others hum in somber agreement. His youngest sister runs to the bathroom when Daichi waves his hand in front of her face.

ASAHI, legitimately crying: “My heart goes out to you and the rest of your family. Daichi was like a brother to me, too.”

NOYA, rubbing Asahi’s back: “There there, Asahi.”

HINATA, putting a comforting hand on your shoulder and handing you his handkerchief: “I am so sorry for your loss, (Y/n). Daichi-san really was such a good man.”

YOU: “Thank you, Hinata. I know I will never find a kinder, more loving boyfriend. And our wedding was only just a few weeks awayyyyyy…” you trail off, laugh-crying into the handkerchief

DAICHI, smirking, turning the tables a bit: “You’re in so much trouble, sweetheart. Faking your fiancé's death like this? Seems you’re the one getting the birthday spankings tonight.”

EVERYONE: (shoulders shaking from violently sob-laughing)

TSUKKI, shaking his head: “That’s too bad, (Y/n). You might’ve at least found solace in Sawamura’s badass pension if he’d just waited a little longer to die…”

DAICHI: “Alright, guys, that’s enough! The jig is up! Little Miss Corpse Fucker over here has blown your cover!”

YOU, through tears: “CACAW CACAW!”

EVERYONE, losing their shit: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAICHI!”

DAICHI, hugging everyone: “I have the best worst friends a guy could ever want.”

When Nishinoya, Asahi and Kageyama couldn't reach that last block from Seijoh, you could see how your boyfriend's shoulders released all the tension. It was all over.

You also saw him going to comfort the first years on the court, and you were able to see his watery eyes when they formed a line and bowed in front of the audience.

Now, you were waiting for him outside the locker room.

When Daichi finally came out, you quickly approached him and gave him tight hug.

"You did amazing, baby." You whispered in his ear and kissed his cheek. He hid his face in the crook of your neck. Trying not to start sobbing right there.

"We lost y/n. We aren't going to the nationals and it's my fault." He let out some tears and hugged you back. "The whole team looked so disappointed, but Hinata and Kag-"

"It isn't your fault Daichi. I saw the entire game and you guys were incredible." His voice was weak and you know he was already crying so you took his face with your hands and made him look directly to your eyes. "Oikawa was on the verge of tears everytime you received one of his serves." He smiled sadly.

You wiped his tears while he looked at you intensely and you couldn't help but blush. He took your chin between his fingers and kissed you.

"Thank you so much."

Lev hit the ball that Kenma set for him but the other team's middle blockers stopped his spike and Yaku couldn't save it.

Kuroo Tetsurō

"Fuck." Kuroo said under his breath while he ran his fingers through his black messy hair. It wasn't an important game but Kuroo loved to win anyways.

Now, you and him were lying on his bed. He also loved sleeping with you in his arms after a long and tired game.

Your head was on his chest and you were drawing little hearts on it. He has been silent for a quite long time, and you didn't want to force him to talk.

"Do you think Lev was good in today's game? I feel like I'm not doing enough for helping him to improve." He said playing with your hair.

"He was amazing. All of you were amazing. Lev is really improving and they just blocked him, it was a little mistake." You looked up to see his dark eyes locked onto the ceiling.

"I don't know y/n. If I had spent more time practicing with Lev, they wouldn't have blocked him." He sounded so angry with himself.

"You are always practicing with him and he is learning so much with you, Kuroo. He has improved a lot. I've seen you guys train together and I have seen all your games, you are the best captain he could've ask for! It wasn't your fault nor his."

"What did I do to deserve you?." He kissed the top of your head and kept stroking your hair until you fell asleep.

Bokuto Kōtarō

When the other team blocked his spike and ended up scoring that point, you could feel your heart break and your boyfriend's too.

He looked so sad and disappointed with himself not even Akaashi's praises could cheer him up.

You went down to the bleacher and ran to him but some random man stopped you with an angry face.

"I'm Bokuto's girlfriend!" You told him. He still wouldn't let you into the court until Akaashi came. "Let her in."

You ran to your sweaty boyfriend and took his cheeks between your hands. He was so sad that even his spiky hair was down.

"Bokuto." You called him looking for his gaze. "Baby, you did absolutely great. Cheer up, c'mon. You are Fukurōdani's ace! And you are in the top five aces of the country! This was the first game after summer, It'll get better I promise."

When you reminded him how amazing he is, his face lit up and he smiled big and bright.

He gave a quick peck to your lips and he walked to Akaashi "Hey hey hey! Akaashi come here! Let's practice! Set for me again!" You looked at your happy boyfriend with heart eyes.

Akaashi rolled his eyes and you couldn't help but laugh at him.

Oikawa Tōru

He freezed when he couldn't stop that last spike. He has lost against Kageyama; this is probably the worst thing that could've happened to Oikawa.

You went down to the bleacher trying to find him but none of his teammates saw him after that.

"Tōru? Tōru, where are you?" You looked for him outside the court. You heard a bunch of girls calling your boyfriend's name and you quickly ran to where they were. "Leave him alone!" You screamed pushing the girls away.

He was sitting on the floor in a corner of the hall surrounded by all his screaming fangirls. He was covering his face with his hands and his breathing was heavy.

You just waited for the girls to leave and then you kneeled down and called his name a few times but he kept crying.

"I'm not good enough, y/n. I've never been good enough for them. I'm a bad captain. They deserved better than this." He sobbed.

You tried to remove his hands from his face but he refused too. "Look at me, Tōru." He ignored you. "Please, baby."

When he finally revealed his face you wiped his tears using your thumbs. "Listen to me. Your teammates couldn't have asked for a better captain. You are more than enough, Oikawa, you are the great king!" Your touch made him shudder.

"Y/n is right." Iwaizumi said behind you. Oikawa looked at his best friend with tears in his eyes and he covered your hands on his cheeks with his.

"Then, you are my great queen." He told you and you smiled wide at him. You kissed his lips and Iwaizumi faked a gag sound.

Ushijima Wakatoshi

Ushijima has been silent for the past ten minutes. He was walking you home and he hasn't said a word since the game ended.

He isn't a talkative person, you knew that, but this was different. He had his head down like a sad puppy and his eyes were focused on the pavement.

You looked at him and let out sigh. He was frowning and you knew what he was doing: analyzing second by second the entire game.

Suddenly, you wrapped his big and warm hand with your fingers. Deep inside he needed to feel you so when you grabbed his hand he grabbed yours too holding it tighly.

"You know Wakatoshi, If you don't want to talk about it, It's fine. But you are the best. No matter what. Nothing is going to change that, not even a stupid game."

He looked at you as you spoke, then he looked back to the pavement and nodded. He squeezed your hand with his fingers and you smiled.

"Thank you for being there." Wakatoshi told you while his cheeks blushed a little. "Not only today but always."

"It's nothing you should thank me for. I love going to your games." You sneaked between his strong arm and his body letting his arm rest on your shoulders and snuggled there while you both reached your house.

"Would you like to come in?" You looked up to see his face and he nodded. Wakatoshi leaned his face to yours and gave a little kiss to your nose.

Kageyama Tobio X FemReader

Part 2

About: You were introduced to the Karasuno Boys’ Volleyball club during your second year. Yachi needed help after Kiyoko had taken her leave, so she asked you to join her. Although, it would have been smarter to look for a first year, but you were new and looked lonely. When you met the boys you were bit overwhelmed but they grew on you in no time. Kageyama was a little rough around the edges at first, he was awkward and couldn’t hold eye-contact. He was a blushing baboon for the first few days. He was sure to keep his distance but you only found it exciting and hilarious. Sure enough you two became friends from all your taunting and teasing. You’re about to enter your third year, and this was your make it or break it. You had to start thinking about your own future- and so did Kageyama.

A/N: Thank you for the support! And new follows! I’m glad I’m not the only Kageyama simp :) I also like creating shorts with random prompts, it gets the creative juices going. So if you have any requests or such, please let me know. And... uh hope you like this part.

Cloudy Skies

Kageyama would never admit it but he kept thinking about that question. He answered truthfully but something bothered him about that. Not that it was honest but rather the answer itself.

"Kags!" You screamed before the ball could hit him in the face, but he just snapped his head to you. The sound echoed in the gym and he fell backwards at impact. Everyone flinched and made a pained face but your eyes widened with worry.

"I'm so sorry, Kageyama!" Tadashi bowed and apologized several times. He grew red in embarrassment and you would have teased him and called him cute if it wasn't for the growing red mark on Tobio’s cheek. You rushed over with Yachi along with Coach Ukai.

"Come on kid, talk to me." Coach Ukai examined the bruise. It wasn't anything too serious but he knew it had to hurt like hell. Especially to a body who wasn't ready for impact. "Someone go get a bag of ice!" Yachi ran.

"Don't say sorry to him, Yamaguchi, he was the one who wasn't paying attention." Tsuki pushed his glasses up even though they're his volleyball ones. A habit that hasn't died down. He was the only one who didn't step a little forward towards Kageyama.

"Put a cap on your salt, Tsuki," you yelled. It surprised a few of the players with your sudden authority. Even Tsuki tsked quietly.

There was little more venom in your words than usual, like a warning to back off.

"Woah! Did you mean to catch that with your face?!" Hinata jumped to get a better look. "If it wasn't for Y/N, you'd have a bad nosebleed right now Kageyama!"

"Can someone shut him up?" He groaned trying to get up to a sitting position. You shot a look at Shoyo that begged and ordered him to settle down, which he took quickly. Coach Ukai let out a sigh of relief when Tobio finally spoke up. You released a breath- one you didn’t know you were holding.

Coach Ukai asked him a few questions to check how hard the ball hit him. He answered them as best as he could but you snickered when he couldn't answer any government related questions- although Ukai looked around to verify if it was wrong or right with other team players. He was okay. Okay as he could be.

"Alright kid, take a break and we'll fill in for you. Get whatever is on your mind out, it's important that you find that focus again." Ukai helped him up and ushered him off the court. You grabbed onto his arm, in case he needed help with his balance, and led him to the sideline where you and Yachi stayed. Yachi came back with the ice pack and accidentally shoved it too hard onto Kags.

"Ah!" He winced from the cold and the pressure on his bruise.

"Sorryyy…. Here." She handed you the pack abruptly. "I'll go get a chair!" You watched as she ran and struggled to get a chair out. Hopefully someone will help her out.

Kageyama leaned on the wall for support and winced again when he tried to touch his cheek. You swat his hand away-

"Hey!" He glared at you for a second but once he saw your worried look he glared at the floor. "You'd make a horrible nurse," he mumbled.

However, he was taken by surprise when your fingertips made contact with his cheek. You grabbed his face and turned him to you so gently he wanted to flutter his eyes closed to rest a bit. It was then he knew that what he had said was a complete and total lie.

You applied the ice to his cheek, careful with the pressure thanks to Yachi. You were close, almost as close as when you were dancing together. He could feel you- like a presence, it made sense cause you were right there. But it still felt weird to him. And for a second- but what felt longer- you were the only thing in his vision. Your soft smile of reassurance and your caring eyes and how they expressed more emotion than words. He even noticed some marks here and there that he could've sworn weren't there before… and yet he found them...he found them beautiful. Like they added to you being already perf-

"Does it hurt?" Your voice was low and gentle, completely different from when you used it at Tsukishima. You were worried he might be playing the pain down, so he can jump back into practice. You should've pulled him aside when he wasn't responding to Shoyo's usual banter. He was quiet, and clearly lost in thought but you assumed it had to do with volleyball. You expected him to be back to normal once he started playing. And once he was reacting slower and moving slower than usual, you realized he wasn't fully here.

He realized you asked him a question after a moment. "No...no, the ice is working."

You smiled in relief and let him take over the pack. You took a few short steps back and crossed your arms content with your minimal work.

"See," you said confidently, "I might be a good nurse after all."

Before he could agree, Yachi came rushing in with a chair. Kageyama took his seat without argument, a surprise to both you and Yachi.

"Take all the time you need and then some, we'll be right over there if you need anything."

"But don't let that go to your head, your majesty," you teased. He hates that nickname with a passion so there was always some sort of burst of energy. But all he could do was roll his eyes. It let you know that something was still bothering him, and that wiped away your grin.

The rest of practice, Kags quietly stayed on the sidelines but watched the team with a sharp eye. It was weird of him to not want to continue playing, but you were also sort of glad he took time to rest. Maybe that ball did hit him a little too hard though… No- he said he was fine. Plus, if it was serious, Ukai would've rushed him to the nurse or something. There have been worse injuries in the team and Hinata has taken a few shots to Kageyama's head. So… he should be fine.

During clean up time, Ukai told Kageyama he can head home early, instead he stayed and helped a bit then waited for you. After changing, he stood by the stairs and stared at something in the distance with his back towards you. For some reason you were nervous. Your foot wouldn't stop tapping or you would pull on your fingers and try to crack your knuckles. He was being annoyingly quiet, and that put you on edge, clearly. You thought Kageyama was a simpleton, he only thought about volleyball and food. But you liked that because you always knew what he was thinking.

Until now. He's right there and he's quiet and he's not talking and he has almost no expression on his face and he's just not... here. Did someone say something to him? Was he upset? Or sad?

You wondered all of this as you got closer to him, you thought he'd be too lost in whatever was bothering him to notice you but he glanced at you.

"Ready?" He asked, tightening his strap. Once you gave him a small nod, you both started walking towards your house.

"You sure you don't want me to walk you to your house? We don't have to study today if you need some time alone," you offered him. You didn't want him to feel obligated to go to your house. You told him during clean up he didn't have to, but he just ignored you by scowling Shoyo over some sloppy mopping.

"Do you not want me to come over?" He looked at you from the corner of his eye waiting for your reaction. You just shrugged awkwardly and looked away from him.

"It's not that, it's just you got hit and-"

"It's just a bruise, Y/N."

You snapped your head back at him with a wild look. "Well yeah! You don't really get those!"

"Volleyball guarantees bruises, you know that." His voice didn't elevate like yours did, it was unbothered and didn't show any signs of caring.

"What were you thinking about during practice?"

He didn't respond. You thought he might be taking a minute to figure out his wording, like usual, but he was just straight up ignoring you.

"Tobio!"

Nothing. He was giving you absolutely nothing. He just kept walking while you waved your hands like a crazy person. So you stopped walking. He stopped and turned to you a few feet away. The sun was setting and the street lights behind you were turning on one by one. He noticed the thick clouds gliding towards you two, another rainy afternoon.

"Y/N, come on let's go. I'm not getting stuck in the rain again." He looked tired, like the thought of arguing itself was draining him. You would've walked in silence, but you were a bit pissed off. Why? Why was his silence bothering you so much? Was he finally getting tired of you? Were you the one who said something? What did you say? If it bothered him so much, he should've said something! Or… was it the dance? Did you step out of line? But…

"Tell me why you've been so quiet, Tobio." Your demand did little on his reaction. He sighed and placed his hand on his forehead, tired once again. When he just mentioned the rain again, you stomped your foot like a child. "Fine! Don't tell me and don't come over today!" You marched past him with your arms crossed over your chest.

He felt a drop on his nose and heard the sound of the approaching rain. You were mad and it almost seemed like the rain followed your gloomy state.

"You really don't want me to come over?"

"No!"

"Y/N, you're being ridiculous." That seemed to piss you off even more. So you quickly turned to scream almost a block away.

"And you're being a shady idiot Kageyama! Since when do we keep secrets!"

"Why are you so keen on knowing?!"

"Because you're not being yourself! You're worrying the team and the coach and ME!" You pointed to yourself feeling a bit selfish without the guilt.

“I’m fine, Y/N! Nothing is wrong!”

“Then tell me! If it’s really nothing, tell me what’s been going on in that head of your Tobio!” You waited and watched as he physically restrained himself from saying anything. And you know it shouldn’t be such a serious topic or conversation, to be honest you thought this whole argument was childish. And yet, here you were acting like a child who wasn’t getting what they wanted.

The silence hurt you for some reason. It was like he didn’t trust you, he didn’t rely on your comfort or need you to listen to him. He didn’t need you.

“Fine. I’ll go home,” he said finally. You didn’t just feel a drop, you were immediately drenched in the rain. You watched him rush off through the rain while you felt something awful.

An even more awful thought sparked when he was completely out of your sight. It was possible that he didn’t need you, but you knew for a fact that you needed him.

you were always their little ray of sunshine

when you first joined the school a year ago and introduced yourself all excitedly

hinata ran to tanaka after that class

“we need to convince her to be our manager!!!!”

tanaka was down lol

it didn’t take long to convince you, you were looking for extracurricular activities to engage in anyway

the conversation went a bit like this

“y/n-san! do you want to be karasuno’s volleyball team manager?”

“sure!”

“we swear it- did you just say yes?”

“...yes”

cue tanaka and hinata screaming

after you became their manager it didn’t take you and kageyama too long to fall in love either

he adored the good vibes you brought with in any room you stepped in and you enjoyed the calmness that came with him (except when hinata’s around to annoy him, pretty boy radiates ᵃⁿᵍʸ energy then lol)

poor boy didn’t know that what he felt towards you until he had the whole team screaming at him to ask you out

so he did

and so you ended up here, 10 months into dating kageyama and 12 months into being karasuno’s manager along with kiyoko and hitoka

everyone found it a little weird that you were always the one to stay the longest out of everyone, but everyone assumed it was just because you genuinely enjoyed being there

which you did, don’t get me wrong

that just wasn’t the only reason.

no one actually knew why you had changed schools in the middle of the year

every time someone asked you pushed it off, claiming your old school just wasn’t working out and started babbling about how much you love being at this school and how glad you are to have found real friends like them

“time for a break, i brought food!!”

you held the bags of food up, getting tackled in a gross sweaty hug by nishinoya

“it’s like you heard my stomach calling out for you, y/n!!! you’re my saviour!!!”

you immediately laughed

“i know, noya, now get off, you’re sweaty” you cringed a little and he got off, a little offended but he quickly forgot about it and snatched the bags

you were all sat on the ground, everyone eating quietly when hinata started complaining about his mother nagging him to focus a little more on studying

that’s how everyone started talking about their mothers, somehow everyone having a little to complain about

“what ‘bout you, y/n? you have nothing to remark about your mom like our little crybabies here?” daichi looked at you

everyone whined at that,, “we’re not babies!!”

you tensed up at the question before relaxing and smiling

“nope! my mom is perfect.” you giggled

“woah, i wish!! you need to introduce me to your mom, y/n!!”

noya was very invested in your mom being perfect, lol

you see

kageyama here is very observant, whether it be on the court or just, well, people in general

he saw you tense up for that split-second, not pressing it further

he knows you most likely aren’t ready to talk about it

now that he thinks about it, you never talk about your family

he’d love to know but he understands that you’ll come to him when you’re ready to tell him and he doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable by nagging you about it

“i’ll introduce you to her, noya” you giggled

his face lit up and he nodded before the topic changed again and you could now also speak to them about how annoying and hard math class is

after they were done eating no one could move anymore, let alone practice

hinata tried

he threw up....

no one else even wanted to practice after that - opting to clean up and end practice for today instead

“kageyama, ill head out a bit early today, i’ve got some stuff to do” you said

you startled the shit out of him because he was just bringing the last volleyball to the cart

“HO- oh.” he stopped himself from screaming and turned to you

“alright, just take care..” he mumbled, ruffling your hair which made you whine and fix it

you hate when he does that

he thinks your reaction is adorable

you scoffed and pulled him down to your height to plant a little kiss on his cheek

he blushed, pda isnt for him

you loved his soft side so much

nonetheless he smiled at you and straightened up again

“call me if anything happens” he cleared his throat

baby was a little awkward with stuff like this

you nodded and smiled “will do!”

and off you were lol

hinata then popped up infront of kageyama

“what’d you do to her!?!?!?! she never leaves early!!!!!!!”

“she just has stuff to do, shut up.”

“hey, mom..” you smiled lightly as you sat down

“nishinoya is really looking forward to meeting you! the whole team asked about you today.. today was an ok day, i was pretty distracted all day so i didn’t have the time to feel sad again.”

you sighed

“but, you know, it’s been getting harder lately. it seems that getting out of bed to get to school is getting harder.. i love making everyone happy, but it’s hard being the provider and never getting something in return. sometimes, when things get hard, i just want to drop everything. i want to stop acting so bubbly and happy, but i know you wouldn’t want me to lose my smile.”

you stood up

“i’ll get going then, i love you.”

you placed the flowers down on the grave before you, staring down at it with a sad smile before making your way home, yet again

the next day you showed up to school as you usually did, taking your seat next to kageyama after greeting him like usual

you were having a conversation with hinata

it was too early for kageyama to speak

everyone was confused when you didn’t show up to practice that day

kags(｡◝‿◜｡) , 2:47pm: are you not coming to practice?

y/n, 2:49pm: no baby, i’m sorry :( i really can’t tODAY, im so upset over it

day by day you felt yourself breaking more

day by day the scars on your hips multiplied

and day by day it got a little harder to make the room light up when you stepped inside

it was after practice and it was only you, nishinoya and kageyama left

“hey, y/n, can i finally meet your mom today??”

he was pressing around so much about it

you smiled and shrugged,

“sure, i bet she doesn’t mind a visit”

“can i come too?” kageyama asked timidly and you nodded

“of course.. it’s about time.” you smiled

your eyes were a little glassy

he frowned

nishinoya was too busy getting excited over meeting the first ever perfect mother to notice and he began dragging you out “let’s go then!”

he was pulling you to the direction of your place before you abruptly stopped

“ah-ah, i didn’t say i still live with her, did I?”

you had both boys confused now and you started walking into the right direction

you intertwined your fingers with kageyama’s

he squeezed your hand a little

he knew you needed a little support

only did he not expect you to lead them to the cemetery

nishinoya’s smile dropped when you actually entered the cemetery

he saw it but he expected you to walk past

you stopped in front of your mothers grave

“there she is.” you let out a sigh

kageyama felt his heart drop

“wait, y/n, i’m so sorry for pressing this so mu-”

kageyama pulled you in a tight hug, shaking his head at the boy, who now went quiet

he felt so horrible

you were trying so hard to hold your tears back, looking at noya

“don’t worry, you didn’t know.”

you still smiled at him

kageyama then spoke

“it’s best if you go home, don’t you think?”

he didn’t even sound angry at this point

nishinoya nodded and left

he really felt so bad

you couldn’t hold back and broke out in tears after

this was the first time you cried in front of your boyfriend

he didn’t expect it to hurt this much

hearing your little sobs break through you

he could feel his own heart breaking as he tightened the hug

neither of you said anything

he just let you cry into his chest

he didn’t need to tell you he was there for you with words

he told you through gently patting your back as you cried

he told you through not judging you when you cried like this

even when it started raining and the rain was slowly seeping through both of your clothes he didnt loosen his grip on you

he let you finish crying

however long it took

and when you finally looked up at him, only the moon’s light illuminating your face, he felt his heart break, again, at the sight of your puffy eyes and red nose

he wanted to protect you from all bad things, forever.

“gosh, i’m sorry, it took me so long to stop crying..”

he shook his head and pecked your forehead quickly “no. you didn’t.”

“..is this why you always avoided talking about your mother?”

you nodded, looking down at her grave, the flowers you placed there two days ago already droopy

you avoided his gaze and he shook his head again, now unable to hold back from speaking

“no, y/n. you’re not okay, i know you’re not. i know that you struggle every day and i know you don’t like speaking about it, but i just can’t keep watching you suffer in silence, i do give you your space, but not when it truly concerns your well-being to the point i cant touch you or see you as often as i’d like to!”

he stopped and took a deep breath, shaking his head

“let’s go home first, i want to talk about this in a place i can do more for you.”

you were speechless

you never had expected him to notice anything, let alone speak up about it

you were so lost in thought you let him drag you to his room quietly

you snapped back to reality when he was unlocking his door, walking inside when it was open - you following

you sat on his bed, still not knowing what to say

how the tables turn, usually its kageyama being the quiet one and you being the one to fill the silence with unnecessary babbling lol

he looked at you, uncertainty swimming in his eyes

“can i see?”

you immediately knew what he was talking about, looking down

you pondered over it a little before nodding

he crouched down before you, looking up at you

you furrowed your brows “of course”

“you don’t need to hide your feelings from me, baby, i love you through all of your emotional states, i love seeing you happy but i like comforting you when you feel sad too, you mustn’t hide your feelings.”

your eyes filled with tears at that one sentence

“thank you..” you sniffled

“i mean it. it hurts me when you hide it, it makes me feel so helpless, i don’t want to watch you crumble before my eyes, please, talk to me..”

“i just feel so hopeless, kags.. my heart feels so dull lately.”

you finally let in

“it feels like every single day repeats itself and all of my responsibilities are so hard to fulfill..it’s so hard turning up to school, bringing positive energy with me when all i feel is my sadness taking over my entire self bit by bit.”

he was listening, now sat on the floor before you, chin resting on your knee as you spoke

“but you’re not responsible for anyone’s happiness except yours. i don’t like when you prioritise others before yourself, y/n.. i don’t say it often but you’re truly so important to me and i don’t want you to lose yourself only because you try to make others happy.. it isn’t worth it, we love you for you, i can assure you, no one from our group would judge you for feeling down, we all have bad days, gosh, we all have bad weeks or even months! hiding these feelings will only worsen your pain and lead you to.. do irrational things..” he said, fingertips tracing over your hip gently

“let me see first and then we’ll talk about how we’re fixing this, ok?”

you sniffled and nodded, letting him pull the side of your pants down enough to reveal to him what he feared most

seeing the cuts scattered on your skin broke him, truly.

he gulped and stood up, leaving to get you a pair of his shorts

“put these on, this way i can tend to them better.” he said, wanting to clean it up first before telling you his thoughts about it

you nodded and changed into the shorts, him trying not to break down there and then as he left to get some stuff

when he came back you were patiently waiting for him and let him clean the cuts with some alcohol (not without complaining at the stings) before he bandaged them up as best as he could

he then laid down and pulled you with him, hugging you

“oh my precious y/n..” he mumbled

he was hugging your head to his chest to hide the fact that he was tearing up

he wanted to help you so bad but he knew exactly that he couldn’t just end your suffering and it hurt him

“but why? why do you do that to yourself?”

his voice cracked when he asked and you looked up, realisation hitting you

you hurt him so bad by doing this.

the person you loved and cherished most

“it felt like the only escape”

he caressed the top of your head

“pressuring you into stopping won’t help and isn’t worth it, but please, when you feel like.. doing that, call me instead. i’ll be at your place in no time and- even if you don’t want to talk i can just hug you and keep you company-”

you cut him off by pressing your lips against his

“i will, baby. i’ll call you whenever i feel down from now on”

he nodded “thank you”

he was thanking you as if he wasn’t the one helping you right now

you now hugged him back, “i’m sorry for not saying earlier..”

he hummed “lets just lay here. you’ll get better, i promise.”

he kept his promise

ever since that day, he’s been calling you morning and night, making sure you felt good waking up and going to bed

he often called you through entire nights

he made you slowly start to understand that your purpose wasn’t to make anyone happy but yourself

he made you realise you were more than a mere person that’s always happy

and he made you understand that showing your feelings wasnt something to be embarrassed about

(the entire team was very supportive too when they found out you were struggling! kageyama didn’t explain the details though)

so yep.

you had kageyama and a bunch of friends that were supporting you

and for the first time, you felt hopeful for the future, your mother watching over you proudly after years of struggling and even having to move schools for a fresh start

she could now rest easily, knowing your guardian angel found his way to you and won’t ever leave you.

• Listen when you became a first year manager you didn’t think you’d end up dating a player

• You were a hard working manager and did everything you could for the team from baking them good luck cookies to helping them practice anytime

• Now as a third year - you are a pro at everything you do! And your boyfriend loves seeing you invested in what he’s doing all while doing what you want too

• You still have to keep Kageyama from arguing with Hinata - and Yams will most likely freak out a little

“Kageyama- time out!”

“Hinata you too!”

• Ah yeah you and Yams were a power team in the end, One that Hinata and Kageyama would never try against

• Kageyama will always find a way to help you and show that he supports you, it’s his way of showing he cares

“Y/n do you need help?”

“No she doesn’t she has me.”

• He got a little jealous if anyone helped you because he says it’s his job

“Tobio-Kun, I got it you can get back to practice.”

“But y/n-“

“I promise I got it.”

• He will listen - especially because he always wants to play better.

• You definitely get really into the game, while your boyfriend sticks to death glares you stomp around like a mad woman freaking out - YUP HE WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY!

• During time outs - if he’s getting frustrated you hold him while everyone talks through a plan it definitely calms him down so everyone lets it happen without a word

• When they take a win though he would most definitely be on his way to give you a smooch 😳

• and you would also text a picture of the boys to their senpai’d once the game is over

• The 2nd years definitely watch their games too you would know because Noya and Tanaka make kissy noises at you and Kageyama all the time

• You two end off the night by talking about the other teams and their plays while walking to his house to spend the night getting a good rest

“So you think he’s cutest setter?”

“I only said he made ONE good set!”

Hinata:

• You have been his friend since middle school!

• You never knew much about volleyball but listened when he spoke about it just to help him out and because he was cute

“Wait hold the ball like this y/n! See perfect!”

• From THAT hand contact you literally were glowing as red as a neon sign

• You two did start dating in your first year though when you ran into him in the hallway because he was running late to practice he wasn’t he just wanted to beat Kageyama

• When him and Kageyama got into a heated argument - you were there to help him practice and let’s just say your setting to him in the past payed off in the end!

• you had to pry Hinata off of Kageyama when they fought and calm him down - it was one of the only times you saw him angry

• But when things were back to normal you would watch the boys bicker endlessly back and forth - you always decided against getting caught between that so you and yachi were bff’s and ignored it unless it got out of hand

• You go to all of his games and he’s beaming with happiness!

• you also go with him to try to calm him down when he has to “go to the bathroom” but he’s actually nervous

• you almost peed your pants when Ushijima toward over both of you

“Suga he looked like he could kill me!”

• Yeah Suga had to save both you and Hinata when you would get scared of the creepers in the bathroom

• Before his games you like to help him prepare by making him work on receives until you go to the stands

• And after every point he makes sure your watching and you always are! Your standing on your seat with a fist in the air cheering.

“I need one of those.”

“One of what Noya senpai?”

“A girlfriend. 😔”

• After every winning game you’d wait for Hinata while his bouncing around and he hugs you until you can’t breathe

• Post game tradition is to get ice cream together and talk about how well he did!

You praising him always makes him so soft he’ll literally turn so red

Yamaguchi:

• You were a photographer and he met you when he was practicing alone one night and you were taking pictures of random things

• You asked if you could take some pictures of him and he was shy but said yes

• You often went to their games to get some pictures for your school and for memories

• You definitely have an ugly picture of Ukai only you and the team know of

• Don’t leave your camera unattended because you will find Tanaka, Noya and Hinata vlogs after

Tanaka: Welcome back to our channel!

Noya: I wanna hold it!

• You scream 10x’s louder as the ref gives you a dirty look

• When he feels particularly upset with himself you’re always there to reassure him that he works hard and he does everything is his power

• you also know you have to give him time but he’ll come around and you’ll give him the praise he needs

“Y/n, Daichi said he appreciates your cheering but not to anger the refs this time.”

Tsukki:

• You guys started dating after you met in your first year class

• You two sat in the back and one day you noticed the boy was miserable and not wearing his usual headphones so you offered him your backup pair - he gladly accepted

• You had both became fast friends and then lovers in no time

• You guys spent lunch with Yamaguchi and spoke about anything

• Tsukishima went away for practice camp and talked to you about everything and how Yams went off on him to which you respond:

“As he should 😗”

• You talked him out of bad moods if he had a rough day after practice - and just held his hand while you two listened to music while walking home

• Kageyama and Hinata were nice to you so you took a liking in them unlike your boyfriend

“Tsukki don’t be such a mean tutor!”

• Yeah he got jealous when you helped Kageyama figure out a problem on his worksheet so he was even more stern on Kageyama sorry Kags 😔

• He DOES NOT let you go to his games

• His pregame tradition with you is usually a song recommendation, more specifically a song that reminds you of him - he just waits for you to add it to you two’s playlist

• and he texts you after he listens to it 🥺

• You also make him a bento to eat because you know he forgets to eat sometimes especially on game days

• Now it’s your time to shine! You throw on a glasses hat and hoodie and make your way to his game

• He notices you right away. How? Because that’s his hoodie dummy ❤️

“Yes? I mean... am not y/n I uh-.”

• you were a bad liar especially when it involved lying to your boyfriend

• But you didn’t understand why he didn’t want you to see him play because when you did you had sparkles in your eyes just watching him

• Tanaka definitely elbows him to make him see your starry eyes .... he turned really red

• He takes you home and you two spend the rest of your time sleeping and having a breakfast date the next morning while you chat about all the things going through you two’s heads

• and he finally allows you to go to games!

hii, could i please request a tsukki x reader imagine where a random creepy dude is following the reader near ukai’s store. tsukki’s with the team to get some snacks, and the reader was also childhood besties with him and yams. since the reader’s scared he/she just goes up to tsukki and acts like he’s he/she’s bf to get the pedo to lay off. a little angsty but ends up with cute confessions in front of the team(+ukai LMAO). i hope this makes sense loll, thank you! <33

Tsukishima:

- I’m not really sure how to write this properly so I’ll try my best

- Practice ran later than usual so you all were outside in the dark

- Walking into ukai’s store everyone is getting snacks

- The creep is at the end of the isle unbeknownst yo you both

“I don’t know what I’m gonna do.”

“Yes you do.”

“Y/N-”

“Tobio, this is an amazing opportunity. You can’t just say no to the Japan National Team,” you insisted. Kageyama looked back at his laptop. A frustrated sigh escaped his lips.

“But what about you-”

“Please don’t tell me you’re hesitant because of me?”

Kageyama grabbed your hand.

“We agreed that long distant relationships don’t work.”

“I still stand by that.”

“So if I decide to accept the offer-”

“Then we would have to break up. I know that.”

You had imagined this conversation a million times in your head. But now that it was here, it almost felt surreal. There was no doubt in your mind that Kageyama would play volleyball professionally, he was too talented not to. You knew that all along. From your days in high school to now, you knew there would be a point where the two of you would have to separate, but only for a little while.

“I don’t want to have to choose between us and them.”

“I don’t want you to either. I want you to accept the offer.”

You gently cupped Kageyama’s face, trying your best not to show that your heart was breaking by just looking at him.

“If you stay here, with me, I’ll never forgive you.”

“Come on Y/N-”

“Nope, I’m serious. Kags you’ll be miserable. You’ll pout around here and spend your days thinking ‘oh if only I accepted that offer instead of picking my dumb girlfriend’. You’re gonna see pictures of Hinata and all your friends and wish you were playing on the same court as them instead of watching them on a T.V. screen,” you said. Kageyama let out a soft chuckle.

“You’re not dumb.”

“But you are if you think I’m gonna let you stay here,” you smiled. Kageyama removed your hands from his cheeks, kissing them before holding them in his lap.

“I guess I would be pretty upset...”

“Exactly! Don’t worry, I’m always gonna be here. This opportunity won’t be.”

“What if you meet someone while I’m away? Or I meet someone-”

“If I find someone that makes me happier than you ever did, then that will be a miracle,” you chuckled.

“There’s no way I’d find anyone better than you.”

“So there is no need for us to worry. Besides, while you’re away you should be focused on volleyball, not me.”

Kageyama pulled you towards him, kissing the top of your head.

“I promise when I get back, I’m gonna ask you to be my girlfriend again,” he smiled. You giggled.

“I promise to say yes.”

“Can we stay together until I leave though?” He asked. You nodded.

“Sure Tobio. Break up at the airport?” Kageyama gave you a quick kiss.

“Break up at the airport.”

It was a few hours before Kageyama’s flight. The pit in your stomach wouldn’t go away, however you refused to show it. You wouldn’t show how much you were going to miss him, because if you did, you knew that he would stay.

You parked in the garage of the Tokyo Airport and began to help Kageyama with his bags.

“Are you sure you have everything?” You asks.

“I’m sure Y/N.”

Kageyama held his suitcase with one hand, and your hand with his other.

You two walked inside the large building. The whole team would be leaving together. You spotted the large crowd of similar apparel to Kageyama’s.

“Y/N! Kageyama! There you two are!” Hinata greeted the two of you excitedly.

“Hi Shoyo. It’s been a while,” you smiled.

“It really has. Kageyama never shuts up about you though so it feels like I see you all the time!” laughed Shoyo. Kageyama gave him a glare.

“At least I have a girlfriend to talk about,” he teased.

“Had,” you whispered. Kageyama’s eyes widened.

“What?” questioned Hinata. Kageyama shook his head.

“I’ll explain later. We’re supposed to be heading to security now,” he explained. You nodded.

“Right.”

The rest of the players began to wish their farewells to their family and friends. You handed Kageyama his final bag.

“So...”

“I’m not entirely sure how to do this,” he admitted. You shrugged.

“I’m not too sure either. I’ve never had to break up with the love of my life before.”

“Come on Y/N don’t say it like that...”

“I’m sorry but it’s true...”

Kageyama didn’t know the right words. How do you break up with the love of your life?

He simply pulled you towards him, into the tightest hug imaginable. You buried your face into his shoulder, gripping onto the fabric of his jacket. You refused to cry. Not here.

“I love you,” he whispered. You gripped onto him a little tighter.

“I love you.”

“Alright, we’ve got a plane to catch!” announced the coach. You broke away from the hug, using all your power as to now bawl your eyes out.

Kageyama kissed your cheek.

“Maybe we should hold back on texting for a bit...just to make this a little easier.”

“Y-Yeah, you’re right. Could you at least text me when you land? Just so I know you’re safe?”

“Sure babe-I mean- Y/N. I will.”

“Thank you.”

“Kageyama! Let’s go!”

Tobio picked up his bags, giving you one final nod, before turning around and joining his team.

“I’ll be here when you get back,” you whispered, however he was already too far ahead to hear you.

You felt a hand pat your back gently.

“Oh Akaashi... did you come to say goodbye to Bokuto?” You asked. He nodded, wiping his glasses.

“Yeah. It’s never easy seeing them leave, is it?”

You sighed.

“Not at all.”

“Are you and Tobio doing long distance?”

“No actually, we just broke up.”

Akaashi’s eyes widened.

“Oh my god I’m sorry-”

“It’s okay. It’s for the best. Anyway, I know that when he gets back, we’ll get back together. He promised.”

Akaashi gave you a quick shoulder hug, letting out a sigh.

“For his and yours sake, I hope he keeps that promise.”

You sat in your car. Alone. You pressed your quivering lips together, shaking your head. You rested your forehead on the steering wheel as your teas dropped to the floor. You felt so empty. So powerless. You knew it would’ve been selfish to ask him to stay, but honestly the soreness in your heart made it seem like being selfish wouldn’t have been so bad. You sobbed in the parking lot, hoping no one would see you. Hopefully you were worried for nothing. That these months would pass with ease. That when you see him again, everything would go back to the way it was. You held onto that hope. You held on for dear life.

11 months later

“Yes I know-I can’t talk right now I’m supposed to meet Kags at the airport- yes I’ll call once I’m with him-I’m taking him out for dinner tonight so please don’t call- I mean that in the nicest way- okay bye.”

You hung up your phone call before grabbing your car keys. Today was the day. The day where you would see your beloved Tobio again. Where everything would be whole again.

You parked at the airport, funny enough in the same spot where you had dropped him off those months ago. You were so excited. You hadn’t spoken to Kageyama in months, and now you were finally gonna see him face to face. You could barely contain yourself.

You walked up the stairs to the same spot where you said goodbye the last time. You were glad to be saying hello instead.

“Y/N!” Akaashi waved you over. You smiled.

“Fancy seeing you here,” you teased. Akaashi chuckled.

“They should be here any minute now.”

You stared up at the escalators, waiting for him to appear. You could barely hold still. You had dreamed of this moment. When you would finally see him again, feel him again, kiss him again. You missed him more than anything.

You watched as a smiling Hinata waved from the top of the escalators. You waved back. You looked around for Kageyama. Still no sign of him. As more players began to show up, your heart rate picked up. Ever dark haired figure caught your eye, but none of them were Kageyama.

You soon saw a woman step onto the escalators. You didn’t think twice about it, assuming that she just happened to be on the same flight as them. It wasn’t until you saw Kageyama put his arm around her that your heart dropped to the floor.

It had to be friendly right? Maybe she was an assistant coach. That had to be it. You tried to prepare for the worst.

The Japan players greeted their family and friends, the room swelling up with love and anticipation. You watched as Kageyama and the woman walked closer to you. You kept your eyes on him. He finally spotted you. Kageyama’s face turned as white as snow, as if he had seen a ghost. You watched as he whispered something to the woman, before walking towards you.

“Y-Y/N...wow I didn’t expect to see you here,” he said nervously. You tilted your head.

“You didn’t think I was coming?”

“No no I just-here-” Kageyama gave you a quick, but strange hug. Certainly not the hug you had imagined after not seeing him for so long.

“Kags? What’s going on?” You asked. Kageyama scratched the back of his head.

“Listen Y/N...”

“Everything alright over here?”

The woman who walked out with Kageyama now stood behind him, her hand on his shoulder.

“Kags, what’s going on?” You repeated. Kageyama sighed.

“Y/N this is Mei. Mei, Y/N.”

“It’s nice to meet you-”

“Tobio Kageyama what is going on here?” You asked firmly. Kageyama took a step towards you.

“Y/N just let me explain-”

“Who is this bitch?” You shouted. The airport went silent. Mei scoffed.

“Excuse me but I happen to be his fiancé.”

The next sequence of events happened in slow motion. You walked backwards, stepping on your heart as you moved. You watched as Kageyama reached out for you but you shook him away. You turned around and headed for the parking lot.

“Mei wait here- Y/N WAIT-”

Kageyama chased after you. He stood before you, his hands on your shoulders.

“Look I wanted to tell you but I didn’t know how-”

“Bullshit. Don’t you ever lie to me again Tobio.”

“Please Y/N I didn’t expect this to happen but it just did-”

“Oh of course, you just happened to propose to a girl you’ve known for eleven months even though we dated since out first year of high school!”

“Hey you said that if I meet someone else-”

“Oh I know what I said that day- but I also know what you said! You promised that-”

“Y/N we were broken up! We are broken up! That was it! You didn’t actually think I wouldn’t meet someone else?”

You wiped away your tears forcefully, pushing Kageyama’s hands off of you.

“I did actually, I did think that! I thought that you would’ve waited for me how I waited for you! God, Kags we were perfect! We were supposed to be forever damnit!” You shouted. Kageyama clenched his fists.

“Well maybe our forever fell apart, didn’t it?”

You pressed your lips together, sniffling.

“It certainly did.”

Kageyama looked at you. This time, he was the one holding back any tears.

“I still want you in my life Y/N-”

“No. Absolutely not. You do not get to keep me around anymore. You clearly won’t miss me. You clearly didn’t miss me. I wish you and your blow-up doll over there nothing but the best, I really do-”

“Y/N don’t do this-”

“-I wish you both the forever that we never got. The one that we deserved. I really do.”

You began to walk away, watching as all eyes landed on you and Tobio. You stopped and looked at him once more.

“I guess I’m the miserable one now, aren’t I? Well that’s okay. At least I had the pleasure of loving you, I had the best time falling in love with you. I’ll let you know once I land.”

Kageyama began to walk back to her.

“Goodbye Tobio Kageyama. It was fun while it lasted.”

midnight pillow fights with Noya 💓

i could leave at that but i shall elaborate

whenever you sleepover at his house (or vice versa), every time y’all say that you are gonna pull an all-nighter and have chaotic fun

but it never works because being chaotic requires a lot of energy, so you both end up falling asleep at like 2AM-ish 🥱

the closest that y’all have gotten to an all-nighter is 5AM

anyway, it’s not a tradition - more like something that just ends up happening every time Noya is over, perhaps a curse lol

but at some time of night, you’ll say something to irk Noya and he’ll throw/hit you with a pillow

not to intentionally start shit but just as playful ‘shut up’ sorta thing

but something about the sharp impact of the pillow just pisses you off and you instinctively launch a pillow right back at him and it’s always a bit harder than you meant for it to be

thus, a pillow fight ensues

Noya had always envisioned a pillow fight with a female as a playful, sensual experience

but there was absolutely nothing playful or sensual about the way you powerbombed him and then proceeded to suffocate him with your pillow

you would both be feistily beating each other with the pillow, the room filling with your battle cries and screams ╰（‵□′）╯

and this would only end once both of your harsh, quick hits turned sloppy and tired

eventually, you’d both just drop unconscious during the fight and wake up in the weirdest positions

Satori Tendō

he is the self-certified ‘worst cuddler’ (ಥ _ ಥ)

not only is he extremely sensitive to temperature, he’s also filled with too much energy to just stay in the same position with you for god knows how long

it’s not that he didn’t like to cuddle, though. 🥺 i mean, nothing made him feel more safe than you in his arms but he was just unable to stop himself from getting restless when he did it for too long

but there were some nights that he wasn’t as fidgety, though

most of the time, it was after a big volleyball game or a hard day at practise and he was absolutely exhausted (_　_)。゜zｚＺ

he’d literally just detours to your house to catch up like he usually does but his demeanour clearly isn’t the same when he’s worn out so you invite him in for a few minutes and he’d gladly (and gratefully) accepts

he’d just flop down on the couch beside you, his arms just automatically finding your waist and thoughtlessly pulling you against his chest as he laid back, staring at the ceiling

he found himself muttering random things about his day when you asked him, but nothing he said seemed to be in chronological order - unless he brushed his teeth during volleyball practise, which - now that you think about it - doesn’t sound too out of character for him.

his hand found it’s way into your hair and started caressing your scalp, slowly drifting off as the little tune you hummed into his shoulder sent relaxing vibration throughout his body (￣o￣) . z Z

and this wasn’t a one-time thing either, whenever he comes to your house drained from practise, a similar chain of events always end up happening

the only difference being that sometimes it was in your bed rather than on the couch

i feel like bb has nightmares, like frequently 🥺

i mean, if i was him i’d have nightmares too; he has so much important shit riding on his performance - it’s a miracle that this man can even sleep with how much stress he must be under

like, he’s kinda failing school/ he doesn’t have the best grades and if he doesn’t do well on tests then his opportunity to go to camps and train volleyball could be taken

speaking of volleyball, he probably is so stressed from being a part of a team and having people rely on him - not the mention that he clearly isn’t very good at processing his feelings considering that he expresses most negative emotion he feels towards Hinata in the form of anger

then there is the pressure of keeping his relationships and not naturally distancing himself from the people he loves

like you, for example

he goes to bed with all these horrible thoughts in his head and whenever he tries to think positive, it always backfires

he’ll be like ‘i’m the worst person to be around, it’s clear nobody likes me.’

then he kinda shakes it off like, ‘wait, no. don’t think that. i know that (Y/N) loves me and i love her back.’

but his mind never leaves him alone, ‘am i even sure she loves me? i mean, i act so stand-offish towards her - yeah, she probably barely tolerates me. and she was talking about hinata’s spike yesterday, she’s probably going to dump me for him.’

it was a heart-wrenching thought but what could kageyama do?

for now, he’d just lie down beside you on your bed as you scrolled away on your phone, completely unaware that he just mentally rehearsed how he was going to react when you broke up with him

“goodnight, kags. love you.” you hummed, turning around to place a kiss on his cheeks like you always do when he sleeps over

kageyama nodded, trying to act cool and collected despite the fact he was internally nervous as hell, “night, (y/n).” he paused, trying his best to lift the corners of his lips into a kind - rather than intimidating - smile, “love you too.”

‘look, i called her by her first name - i’m so romantic.’ that was probably the nicest thing he’s thought to himself all day

with that, you both try to get some rest

aaaannnndddddd cue the part when he wakes up in a cold sweat, shivering slightly as he looks over to you with wide eyes to reassure himself that your not gone

his heavy breathing alerts you that he is awake so you pry one eye open to look at him, “not again, tobio.” you said wearily, forcing yourself to sit up and attempt to wrap him in a hug but he just jerked away from your touch

you sighed, “what happened?”

kageyama blinked rapidly, darting his gaze around the room before it finally landed back on you

“i- the walls- and you were almost d-” he began coughing, resulting in you immediately reaching over to your nightstand and handing him the bottle of water you had lying there

he took a few gulps before letting out a refreshed ‘ah’, his stare glued to your lips the whole time

eventually, he was able to grumble “it was nothing.” (⊙_⊙;)

upon hearing his evidently fake answer, you shoved out your bottom lip and whined, “shut up, tobio. i was obviously something; why won’t you tell me?”

“because it was nothing.” he said without missing a beat, then he proceeded to lay down so he could fall back asleep - as if this time it’d go better for him

“Kageyama!” you barked, resulting his eyes jolting back open, “You always have nightmares at my house; I’m starting to wonder if you’re scared of me or something.”

kageyama shook his head before nonchalantly responding, “it’s the cherry blossom air freshener - maybe use vanilla or something next time.” he joked, unable to resist a smile as you playfully punched his shoulder.

you sighed, clearly not going to get an answer out of like every other time you’ve tired, so you just decided to try fall back asleep and try reclaim the little bit of sanity you had left

“(y/n).” kageyama grumbled, wanting to make it seem like he was half-asleep but he was far from it as he pulse was still going crazy as that nightmare shook his to the core. “are you going to dump me? because if you are, now would be a good time.”

he spoke, praying to every deity he could think of that you wouldn’t say yes - but if you did, now would be a good time as he could storm out and since it was dark outside, the streets would be deserted meaning that nobody would be there to witness the tears streaming down his cheeks as he sprinted through the night

you rolled your eyes, “is that what this is about?” you didn’t mean for it to come off so harsh as you actually felt a great amount of sympathy for kageyama but just unable to express it in the way you desired

“stop crying.” you hissed, making kageyama quirk an eyebrow.

“I’m not crying-” he replied until suddenly, he realised that your comment was directed at yourself as you hastily buried your head into his chest and he felt something soak through the fabric of his shirt.

“I’m not going to break up with you kageyama, you stupid moron idiot!” you snapped against his shirt.

don’t ask why that nickname made kageyama’s heart flutter

“get those crazy ideas out of your head or i’ll have to take them out for you 🔪--” you could barely even finish your sentence before both you and kageyama burst out laughing

it was probably just the ambience of being cozy under a blanket with each other in a freezing cold room that reeked of cherry blossom but some how you both some how fell even harder for one another

although what you said wasn’t the most moving or motivating, your intention was clear and from then on, kageyama was a lot more upfront with you💕

he’d tell you if he ever felt uncomfortable or if he was ever worried and you’d either make him feel better or make him laugh and then insist that he goes to talk to suga or daichi

also after that night, (and once you ditched the air freshener and started burning vanilla essence) he only had ‘sweet dreams’ whenever he stayed over at yours

(or at least that is what he said whenever you asked him. in reality, his dreams were about volleyball and tsukishima chasing him through the mall on a velociraptor but whatever, it was a step up from the nightmares anyway. 🏃‍♂️ 🦖 )

Kageyama, Suga, and Noya Get Caught By Ukai

Kageyama

Kageyama is not a fan of PDA and you may quote me on that

He can MAYBE handle hand holding underneath a table and if he’s feeling a bit bold, a quick kiss on the cheek in the hallways is a possibility only if no one is looking

He wasn’t embarrassed of you but lets be real, he is always at practice or some volleyball event and it would be pretty awkward for him to start kissing his girlfriend when his coach, and also your uncle, is only a few feet away

Your schedule was pretty jam-packed and that meant it was really hard for you to go to his games especially since Ukai expected you to run the store when he was off with the Karasuno boys

This meant that you hardly ever got to see Kageyama play but a part of him didn’t mind because that took less pressure off of him

Ohhhh boy but then the day came where you were able to go watch a game and of course, it had to be the most important one of the season. Shiratorizawa vs Karasuno

That day, Kageyama was a complete mess for a number of reasons but to know that you were going to be at his game terrified him

The game was intense and you were standing the whole time because you couldn’t bring your nerves down at all no matter how hard Saeko and Akiteru tried, you were a nervous wreck

Wait this is separate from the hc but can we pls talk about HOW FUCKING HOT TSUKI’S OLDER BROTHER IS ???

Sorry anyway

To think that the first volleyball game you were seeing was the one to dictate whether or not your boyfriends team made it to nationals was insane but you had so much faith in the team that they would pull it off

You couldn’t even move when Karasuno won the last point. Hell, you even forgot to breath for a second but once you saw the team celebrate together on the court, you felt so proud because they really did the impossible

You shout for Kageyama and when he looks up to see you standing up in the bleachers, he has the BIGGEST smile on his face because holy shit THEY WERE GOING TO NATIONALS!!!!

HE’S CHEESIN SO HARD uwu

After the awards, you wait for Karasuno at the gymdoors and when Kageyama sees you, He runs over to you and literally sweeps you off your feet

Kageyama doesn’t know if it’s from the adrenaline of the win or the absent nerves but all he wants to do is kiss you

So he does AHHHHH IN FRONT OF ALL HIS TEAMMATES

Tanaka and Noya are screaming their heads off their so proud !!! Suga is obviously shielding Hinata’s eyes

He kisses you so hard as if it would be his last and it catches you off guard because um hello??? Who is this man kissing you??

this was the same Kageyama that gave you head pats instead of kisses when he was around his friends and now he’s kissing you as if his life depends on it

But you’re not complaining you’re a bit too busy at the moment trying to enjoy the moment

All he can think about is you; any other sound around him is completely muffled but once the two of you pull away for air, his smile drops so quickly and he almost drops you to the floor

“ Tobio? What’s wrong-” You turn to look over to where he’s staring and your heart drops when you see your Uncle Ukai with his arms crossed

Kageyama stops breathing and he literally turns white cause he’s TERRIFIED AND SO EMBARRASSED

Ukai is kinda weirded out more than anything because first off, he didn’t even think Kageyama showed any emotion besides anger or disinterest and second, he’s always known to be the ‘cool uncle’

Like should he really be yelling??? They’re just kids??? He did a lot worst stuff at his age-

“ It’s not what it looks-”

“ I think I’m just gonna…” Ukai kinda points off to the side and awkwardly steps around the two of you because he rather not think about his student and his niece kissing

so he kinda gives Kageyama a pass? Not because it’s Kageyama you’re dating but just because emotions are so high and it’s like eh okay??

If anything, it would just be kinda awkward between Ukai and Kageyama during practice/school like just lil nods like “ okay I guess you’re dating my niece” and “ okay I guess I’m dating you’re niece”

Sugawara

Suga is just so sweet let me put that out there because it must be known

You two had only been dating for a short time but you both were already so comfortable with each other

He knows you work late some days at Ukai’s store so he always stops by after practice to check up on you and makes sure you ate dinner and that you were caught up with your homework

Tonight was no different as Suga walks in and sees you behind the register trying your best not to fall asleep

“ Ukai isn’t here?”

“ Nope, he texted me and said he was going to stop by the house before coming over with dinner. I wish he would hurry up. I’m about to pass out” You yawned as Suga greeted you with a kiss on the cheek as you kicked over a stool so he could sit on the opposite side of the counter,” how was practice?”

“ Kageyama and Hinata got into it again during practice so you know, the usual. I missed you a lot today though, I feel like I hardly ever get to see you.”

*Cue sad puppy dog Suga*

You two weren’t the type of couple to always be attached at the hip. You had your own things to do and so did he but that didn’t stop you both from missing each other

“ I know Koshi but at least you’re here now.”

You had a point, he cherished any time that the two of had together, even if it was only for a few minutes and now that he was with you, he could show you how much he missed you

Suga got rid of his pouty face and leaned over the counter to kiss you but this time, it was way different than any kiss the two of you shared before. His lips were so warm and you practically melted into him because you two hadn’t had time alone in a quick minute

Ukai was on his phone as he stepped into the store but when he looked up to see his niece smooching with one of his students, he was so freaked out he just shouted

“ WHA-HEY! NO KISSING WHILE WORKING!”

You pushed Suga off of you but the force of your push sent you falling backwards in your chair and you landed on the ground with a thud

You groaned and held your head as Ukai and Suga peeked over the counter to make sure you were still alive,” Wah! You said you weren’t coming to the shop until later!”

“ Change of plans, my Uncle senses were going crazy and I’m glad I listened to them! What if a customer walked in and saw two hormonal teenagers going at it?”

“ AIYA alright!” You shouted, feeling more embarrassed than before as you got off the floor.

Suga was lowkey panicking cause he wasn’t even sure what to say. How could he even ease the tension between his girlfriend and coach ????

“ I uhm-” Suga started as Ukai looked over at him,” I’m sorry Ukai-san! I’ll see you tomorrow Y/N!”

Suga bows respectfully as you and Ukai watch him leave the store. Once he’s gone, Ukai only laughs and grabs an apron from the hook.

“ Why are you laughing? You basically traumatized him!”

“ A little fear never hurt anybody but good job, you managed to pick a decent guy for once,” You uncle teased as he patted your head and started to sweep the store

Ukai was definitely protective of who you dated and he had a suspicion that you were going out with someone but now that he knew it was Suga out of all people, he wasn’t worried at all

Of course, he could never say that outloud because again, fear keeps guys in check

Nishinoya

Oh god okay

You live with your uncle Ukai because your parents always traveled a lot for work and since Ukai is literally the coolest uncle in the world, you liked living with him

He would’ve let you live with him anyway but because you offered to help him out at the store, it kinda stuck and that’s how you got into helping him out

Noya and you had been dating for a while now and while Ukai knew the two of you were together, he never really brought it up because a big part of him didn’t even want to acknowledge the fact that his niece was with someone as crazy as Noya

But again, if you and Ukai didn’t bring it up then that’s just the way it is

You and Noya were always pretty busy and since you barely saw each other during the day, you would sneak Noya into your room late at night just to makeout cuddle whatever

And just like any other day, you opened up your bedroom window as Noya carefully climbed in, being extra careful not to make any noise

Now you two hadn’t spent quality time with each other in sooooo long and again, two hormonal teenagers that are touch starved is bound to happen. This is basically a long-winded way to say that it was obvious you two would makeout

No matter how heated the makeout sessions would get, that’s all they would ever be because you two both wanted to wait before taking it to the next level

99% of the time Noya would take off his shirt and today was no different. Your hands were tugging at his hair as his body hovered over yours as your lips moved against each other

Even in the dark, he always told you how pretty you were cause he’s a goob and you would just smile and get back to kissing him

Noya inhaled deeply because this is what pure bliss felt like and he couldn’t be happier being so close to you

“ Hey Y/N, tomorrow I need-” Ukai barged right in and turned the lights on as his eyes landed straight on a shirtless Noya on top of you

“ WHAT THE HELL-”

You screamed as Noya rolled off of you and was frantically trying to find his shirt while avoiding eye contact with Ukai

Through all of the panic, Ukai looked down and saw the shirt on the floor. He just picked it up and threw it at Noya’s head,” Get dressed, and both of you see me downstairs.”

Noya gulped because he knew he was going to get his ass beat and even when Ukai left your room, Noya turned to you with sad eyes

“ If I don’t make it back alive, I want you to know how much I love you. Tell Tanaka I’m sorry.”

“ Yu, I think you’re being dramatic…”

The whole time you and Noya were panicking, Ukai was losing his mind because he knew what he had to talk about with you and he reallyyyyyy wasn’t ready for it

Once you two made it downstairs, you both sat down on opposite sides of the couch

Ukai might’ve looked pissed on the outside, and he was, but he was just so uncomfortable. He didn’t know if it was really his place to bring the birds and the bees but as the adult in the room, it was now his responsibility.

“ You guys realize I have to give you the talk now right?”

“ Uncle Ukai please-”

“ You brought this upon yourself.”

it's early, that much kageyama knows. it's around 6, maybe 7 in the morning with how bright the sun is making its way inside their room, basking his lover cradled in his arms with its warm light. kageyama felt that he could die happily at this moment, right here with you, engulfed in all of you.

his hand came up to scratch lightly at your scalp, he always knew how soothing it felt and he remembered what you said a few years ago.

“can you please scratch my head?” you asked one afternoon, eyes sparkling and beaming up at him with so much adoration he couldn't help but slightly clutch at his chest. if he wasn't careful, his heart might break out of his ribcage and fly to heaven with the way you're smiling at him right now.

nevertheless, he coughed to hide the ever-growing heat creeping up his face and neck. who knows what anyone would say if they saw him like this? let alone, hinata?

the thought alone of the hyperactive tangerine made him scowl, cursing him in his mind.

“tobio?” you tilted your head to the side, confused. the cute action immediately broke him out of his reverie.

“why would you want me to do that?” he grumbled, grabbing his water bottle from beside you.

after school, you approached him and told him that you'll watch them practice in the gym. he doesn't know what's so special about it, but whenever you clapped and cheered for him whenever he placed a perfect set or just simply does anything made his heart beat rapidly and made him perform better than he usually do, even his teammates could see.

“because,” you sighed, grabbing his right hand that isn't holding the water bottle, “you have pretty hands and they felt good when you did that.” you set his hand on top of your head and he began to massage it lightly.

how could he deny such a request when you have that goofy smile while scratching your scalp? if you did say that it felt good, he will indulge you.

he beamed down at you, his smile widening when you hummed contentedly.

hinata happens to walk by and saw kageyama grinning to himself and shouted, “oi, kageyama, why are you smiling creepily? you pervert!”

“shut up, hinata boke!”

he was back at the present when he felt you move. his hand ceased their scratching and switched instead to rubbing your back in soothing circles.

“are you up, baby?” kageyama's raspy voice echoed in the bedroom, smirking a little because he knew how much you loved his voice in the morning.

“mhmm, g'morning...” your words slurred, still thick with sleep. nevertheless, you adjusted your position so you're lying on top of him now.

leaving a chaste kiss on his jaw, you sighed contentedly as you let yourself fall back down on his warm body.

you blinked your eyes open and saw his blue ones staring back at yours. smiling softly, you gave him a kiss on the lips. before you decided to pull away, he was pulling in again for more and rolled the both of you around until he's on top of you.

he pulled away for a minute, “good morning to you, too, my love.” he gave you a toothy smile, cupping your cheek as he leaned in to give you a final kiss before sitting up.

“come on, time to get up.” he announced, tugging on your arm.

“ugh, tobio, do we have to? let's bask in the morning and just lay down for five minutes more!” you whined, making him chuckle.

“no, idiot. if i let you do that, you'll wake up in the afternoon again.”

you didn't protest anymore and followed him out of your shared bedroom into your kitchen. staying back, you just watched him waltz towards the drawers, pulling out your mugs before moving towards the refrigerator, preparing breakfast.

helping him with the coffee, you let him fry the eggs and bacon. everything was peaceful until you heard him grunt in annoyance.

“what's up?” you asked, peering over his shoulder to see him struggle to crack the eggs correctly. he either breaks them in his hand or it wouldn't crack at all.

“i don't understand, how do they do it in the tv?” he muttered, knocking the egg to the edge of the pan.

chuckling in amusement, you shook your head and took the egg from him.

“here, let me.” you cracked the egg once on the counter and immediately cracked open into the pan. he looked at you with his mouth open, amazed.

“can't you get any more perfect, love?” he asked, looking into your eyes with utmost awe.

“shut up and cook the eggs!” you giggled.

once breakfast is ready, the two of you sat down on the sofa and ate your food while discussing what the both of you wanted to do that day.

“i was thinking maybe we could pass by the mall today. oh! can we please go to the pet shop, please? the little guy there looked so lonely i wanna adopt him!” you immediately went into your puppy eyed face and begged him.

“hmm, i dunno. who's gonna take care of him when i'm away for volleball and you're working?” he raised an eyebrow, scooping eggs into his mouth.

“you're right, but i get lonely too when you're away, you know? i need some company too! and a cute one at that.” you pouted, crossing your arms in defiance.

kageyama sputtered, his own mouth forming into a pout as well, “what, am i not a cute enough company for you, babe?”

you bursted out laughing and he can't help but look at you, basking in your presence as you seemed so radiantly beautiful whenever you're happy. he can't wait to make you happy every day and every night, make you laugh every chance he gets, hold you in his arms when you feel out of the weather, kiss your lips because he simply wants to and he can because he's yours and you're his.

he found himself smiling fondly at you again and this time, he didn't try to hide it. he didn't stop even as you ceased laughing and now the two of you are staring into each other's eyes lovingly. and all you can think about is how beautiful his eyes are. those blueberry eyes, they're the first one you noticed when you first met. how much they sparkle and how vibrant they are every time he plays volleyball, and now those eyes are looking at you the same way.

you really do love him.

“babe, you're the best, cutest, hottest, most adorable, handsome, pretty, and cutest company i could ever ask for.” you admitted, half teasing him as his face broke out into shades of red with your confession.

“y-you said cute twice,” he stammered, averting your eyes.

it made you smile wider and laughed at how cute he is, “it's because it's true! you're doing it right now!”

“shut up!” he buried his face in his hands in embarrassment.

“make me, tobio.” there was a teasing lilt in your voice that made him peek through his fingers.

you yelped when he lunged at you and pinned you down on the sofa, kissing you all over your face and neck and back up again. your laughter echoed inside your place and he swears there's not a better sound he could get used to for the rest of his life. it was too perfect, you were too perfect, and he's lying if he says you didn't make his heart flutter every time he hears that hearty laugh of yours.

he stopped and looked down at you, love and adoration swimming in his blue irises. smiling like the two lovesick fools you both are, the two of you gravitated towards each other like opposite signs of a magnet and let your lips meet in a sweet kiss. and just like that, breakfast is forgotten on the coffee table that morning but you couldn't care less.

Oikawa Tooru: killjoy/spoilsport.

When he’s just learning the game, he bickers all the time!

LOVES being the imposter but he’s mediocre at it (sorry bby) he just sabotaged gates w no purpose other than pissing the guys off.

If he gets killed early in the game, he’ll text the friend gc and tell who the imposter is.

Also during report messages, he sucks at covering his tracks when he’s the imposter because he’s so proud and smug about it.

They just vote him off when he annoys the others too much

Iwaizumi Hajime: neutral player

Doesn’t get the gist of being an imposter and doesn’t have much joy in it (unless he’s killing oikawa)

In report meetings, someone could accuse him of being the imposter and he’s say “yes I am” FULLY MEANING IT, but they think he’s being sarcastic. (He uses this as a tactic after a while)

Finishes tasks fast and is the best crew member

Hanamaki Takahiro: neutral player

Just like Iwa, his chances of winning are 50/50

He LOVES being the imposter but he’s bad at it.

He tries venting but always gets seen by someone

He’ll kill you in electrical or cafeteria and report your dead body as if he just found you.

The kind of player that goes “X sus”, he also votes whoever gets called that too

Always stalls tasks and stands in the same task place for a whole minute (he sucks at them but shh)

Matsukawa Issei: king of imposters

He could say “yea man I’m the imposter” and no one could know for sure, also he can affect the voting session & gets into peoples heads

His attentiveness and memory is quick, he witness a kill? remembers who did it

Very good at venting & sabotaging

Kills fast too. Someone will report the first dead body of the game and your screen says at least 2 were killed already

If there are multiple imposters, he can cover ur tracks or sell you out, depending on what you offer;)

Kozume Kenma: silent kill

Knows all the maps and tasks and is fast at them all.

Just like Issei, he’s a danger to play against

But he should probably talk more in the messages because after a while Ppl keep going “he kinda sus” and try voting him out. If it’s skipped, he kills them next

Doesn’t use sabotaged much but v v good at venting and fake tasks

Enters the random online games and pisses everyone off

Suna Rintarou: silent kill / king of imposters

Listening to a podcast or watches a show as he plays

A lil reckless as he kills but he’s still perceptive of people around and his timing is well

He does the trick where u stand in front of the corpse u just caused

“Hey guys how can I vent like X did? I’m new” he does this trick once in a while, based on how people talk and always causes others to be voted

Multiple imposters? No more. There can be only one

Just like Kenma, when he enters a random online game room, people will Hate him esp if he’s the imposter.

Kill cool down can be 45 secs but he’s still a fast killer

Hinata Shoyo: mediocre

He tries his best. Running to each task and doing as fast as he can.

Struggles with swiping card too. Too fast?? Too slow????? Game PLEASE Someone else just entered the admin room!!

Gets scared when someone is alone in a room with him and runs in weird patterns to escape.

Runs in circles a lot. Like A LOT!

When he’s the impostor he feels bad about killing some people so he just,,, gets deep into thoughts and doesn’t realize people are finishing tasks.

Unless it’s Kags, he kills kags first always. Doesn’t care if someone sees.

Loved using the vents!!!!! Also loves floating as a ghost and chatting up with other dead players

Kageyama Tobio: god have mercy (on him)

He is… not very good and gets frustrated easily.

LOVES being the impostor though

He enters online games and if the game doesn’t make him impostor, he leaves immediately

Can’t use vents or sabotage for the life of him

Gets killed very easily too, always at electrical…

Not very good at tasks

Won’t rat u out or kill if u buy him milk

Asahi Azumane: here to have a good time

Literally. People in online game rooms are v mean so he only plays with Karasuno VBC

doesn’t like being impostor but he’s surprisingly good at it

Gets a bit too excited whenever he kills someone

A very good crewmember. First to arrive at urgent sabotage tasks!!

Tsukishima Kei: silent & sus

He rarely talks in messages but when he does, he’s very clear.

When he reports, he says whose corpse and where he found them. & Very precise and careful.

Is the first to receive “he kinda sus”

But he’s lucky bc either majority of members skip or someone else is voted out

When he kills, he is Fast and effective

Monitors cameras and how long someone stands at a “task”, usually guesses the impostors right

Miya Atsumu: mediocre at best

ALL HE WNATS IS TO BE THE IMPOSTOR

multiple impostors? Rats them out

Can’t vent for shit. He gets seen by everyone

“Hey how can I use vents like yellow? I’m new” does this all the time when there are few people left and it works!!

Lone wolf as a crewmember and v annoying.

He will spoil the game like Oikawa if he gets killed off early in the game

Always wears that cowboy hat

You’re playing together and he’s impostor? He will kill you first and say he’s not the impostor.

request: hello!! so apparently ur taking haikyuu requests now so if it's not too troublesome, how abt some kageyama bf headcanons? thank you!! 😊

a/n: first haikyuu post, tysm! i hope this is ic for him, since its our first shot at this! i actually fell in love w him a little writing these, i didnt like him all that much before but now im realizing just how much of a sweetie he can really be aww (ik this just said bf hcs, but im adding it to our series!) long post, more under the cut

Kageyama is stubborn, he’s slow to come around to his own senses whenever he’s crushing one someone. It takes a good while for him to finally recognize what his own feelings are, and when he does it makes him sick. He’d be in denial for a while before he finally just couldn’t take it anymore and decided to bluntly ask you out

In the meantime, he becomes sort of stand offish with you. He wants to do nice things for you, but he just feels so silly doing it, he gets clammy, his palms are sweaty, and he can’t stop tripping over his own words

You make the blood rush to his face and the tips of his ears burn a bright red that is singed forever in his memory, who gave you the right to do that? He’s Tobio Kageyama, someone who doesn’t rely on others, who’s always sure of himself, and can’t be influenced by someone else’s opinions

He’s so blunt and nervous that it’s probably common knowledge by now to the rest of the Karasuno team that he has a massive crush on you, and the more he tries to deny it, the more he’s teased (by Sugawara especially, who eventually gets so sick of his love sick dazes that he bullies him into asking you out before he’s even considered it a possibility)

You may not even realize it yourself, though, with the way that he acts around you. It’s almost as if he’s pulling your hair, teasing you and then running off, but it’s not on purpose. He’s.. doing his best, but it certainly doesn’t come off that way. He only hopes that you aren’t offended by him, as most people seem to be

One of the major things holding him back is his fear of abandonment, his reputation being of no help in that. Even if you do show interest in him, he convinces himself that it’s only casual small talk, only a fabricated smile you use to make him so flustered that he excuses himself to finally leave you alone. Why would anybody ever want him? He’s cold, blunt, and clueless. He doesn’t really bring much to the table in a relationship, right?

So when he does finally ask you out, standing outside of the school just after class has let out for the day and tugging at the hems of his practice clothes all while trying not to bite his own tongue while he stutters, it comes as a bit of a shock to you

Is this some sort of prank?

You’re relieved, albeit confused, to know that he doesn’t actually hate you and in fact returns your feelings, and happily accept his confession to which he excitedly whoops and then runs off towards the gym, glad that it’s finally over with, before realizing just how rude of him that was

You haven’t moved an inch, completely bewildered by the event that seemed to have played out in front of you, when he comes back panting and asks you out on a date. Smooth, Kags…

Your date is, well, interesting. He’s super excited, nervous, and fucking terrified. He wants to vomit but he also kind of wants to hold your hand? Ugh, this sucks. And people just do this for fun? He fell for one person and feels as if his entire life has been turned upside down. This is your fault!

Once you officially start going out, he gets a little full of himself and despite how awkward he still is around you, he wastes literally no time whatsoever in rubbing it in Hinata’s face. He can’t do anything with Kageyama bringing up the fact that he has a s/o now and the red head still doesn’t

Past the beginning stages, once you’re established a stable and comfortable relationship with him, things are a lot different

While he’s himself around you, witty, sarcastic, and a little bit careless, he also feels the need to constantly impress you. He can’t start slacking; what if you get bored of him and leave him? He should always be striving to be the very best boyfriend he can be, even if he stumbles a few times on his never ending climb upward

He’s not super open to you about his feelings, but tries to make up for it in doing smaller things that he knows would mean a lot to him were they to come from you. He’ll get an extra snack at the vending machine, try and carry your bag whether you’re at school our out together, and listen to every song you send him (when you recommend music to him, he always teases you that it’s awful or makes his ears bleed, but he adds it to a playlist of songs that remind him of you and plays it whenever you’re around as a subtle way of letting you know it’s special to him, that he really does care. He’s not actually blowing you off)

Kageyama sees a Pusheen keychain set after practice one day, and even though it’s not something he’d ever buy for himself, he purchases the set and gives you the other half so you match. It’s so cute, and he turns beet red when somebody sees it attached to his bag one day and asks him about it. He tells them that you’re the one that bought it and he just didn’t wanna tell you no

Wow, he must be so caring, and they roll their eyes

He’s not big into PDA, but he doesn’t mind holding your hand when you walk together or giving you a quick peck on the forehead as a goodbye at the end of the day when you’re forced to part ways. He’s not that shy to show people whose you are >:)

As for jealousy… yikes. He could stand to be put into his place every once in a while, as he tends to snap at people and go completely over the top for small and petty reasons, often getting caught up in his own insecure and blinding rage that he forgets what even set him off in the first place

Whenever you come to his games, he’s completely thrown off. He’s not used to people showing up and cheering for him, and he gets so nervous that he’ll mess up in front of you that he wastes time trying to focus on impressing you and throws himself to off

He loves and you wanna support him, but… maybe it’s best if you just make up an excuse and send him off with a good luck charm

By the way, if you do happen to make him a good luck charm then he is going to carry it in his pockets for an eternity, not only at games but just in his day to day life, except for on days he gets to spend with you. He doesn’t need luck when you’re there, because he’s already struck gold

Prelude to a Kiss

So this was just an idea that popped into my head and wouldn’t leave me alone until i wrote it lol. Kags isn’t even one of my men but i hope you’ll enjoy it.

Warnings: None, just fluff

Word Count: 1207 longer than i thought it’d be.

“Are you there yet?” You texted your friend.

“Just about.” She responds almost immediately. “Are you sure that he’s there?”

“Yeah I specifically asked him and he said he had to study, otherwise he’d fail and wouldn’t be able to go to some training camp.”

“Ok I’m here. Let me find him.”

“Ok but hurry before I chicken out.” You texted impatiently, awaiting her reply.

You had decided to finally tell your friend that you were in love with him but were completely unsure if he felt the same. He was incredibly difficult to read and didn’t seem to care about anything aside from volleyball.

Tobio Kageyama, master of the emotionless face unless he was getting pissed at Hinata of course, had been your friend since high school. Even now, in your third year of college, you were still surprised at the unexpected friendship.

It had all started when you were in chemistry class talking to your friend. Kageyama sat next to you there and you had said that you liked volleyball even though you yourself were terrible at it. It had gotten the boy’s attention.

“I play volleyball.” He told you.

“You do? What position?”

“Setter.”

“Cool. I’ll have to go check out a game sometime then.”

After that he would speak to you during class and the two of you got along well. But the friendship really got started when he had asked you to help him with chemistry, it was one of your best subjects.

All that time spent together studying caused you two to get closer. You’d become good friends from then on though you never would have guessed that would happen when you first saw him in your class. He was quiet and aloof and looked like he had no interest in making any friends. But regardless you were glad that hadn’t been the case and the two of you had become friends.

You went to all of his games and cheered him on. You would even stop by his practices sometimes. His teammates would tease him and ask about his girlfriend and he would always respond with a ‘she’s not my girlfriend, we’re just friends that’s it’ and a ‘shut up.’ It hurt you a bit when he would say that even though you were only just friends but you would get over it quickly enough and never thought on it for long.

Somewhere between then and now, however, your feelings for him had begun to change. You were really close friends, yes, texting each other all the time with dumb stuff you’d seen, inside jokes, or just normal conversation but you wanted to see if maybe there could be something more between the two of you so you’d come up with a plan.

You were worried about how he might react to your confession and you didn’t want to ruin your friendship if he didn’t feel the same way. You decided that you wanted to know how he’d react before you actually faced him. So you’d asked your friend to go to the library where he was studying so she could see his reaction when you sent him the text. Your courage only went so far and the farthest it went was sending a text, if you tried to call him or meet with him face to face you knew you’d chicken out. Your friend would tell you his reaction once you said that you’d sent it.

Depending on what she said, you would either admit to it or say it was a prank. If he was receptive to your feelings then you would be honest but if he reacted negatively then you would just laugh it off and tell him you were just pranking him. It was the best you could come up with.

Just before your nerves could overwhelm you, your phone rang.

“Ok I have a good view of him. He didn’t see me. He’s concentrating hard but he looks pretty confused lol. Anyway I’m ready whenever you are.”

“Ok I’m going to do it now.”

You switch over to the text thread you have with Kageyama and send him a message.

“Hey Tobio-chan”

Yes he gets pissed off when Oikawa calls him that, but he never got upset when you called him that and so you just kept using it.

“What’s up?” He sends back.

“There’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you.”

“What’s that?”

“Well…it would seem as though I’ve fallen in love with you.” You hesitate a moment before hitting send.

You feel your stomach churn in anticipation as your phone rings with a message from your spying friend.

“Oh you just sent it, didn’t you?”

“Yeah. Why? What did he do?”

“He got super stiff all of the sudden and his eyes popped out of his head.”

“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”

“No idea. Wait. He picked up all of his stuff and practically ran out of the building.”

“Crap. Does that mean he’s coming here?”

“Probably but idk. Good luck.” Your friend sends followed by a string of emojis.

“Thanks.”

Your heart begins to pick up speed as anxiety and anticipation take over. Was he on his way to your room right now? You would know soon enough, you supposed. The library was only a five minute walk away after all. The feeling in your stomach intensifies as the minutes tick by. Maybe I'm overreacting, maybe something else made him leave the library. You let out a sigh and then comes the urgent knock on your door.

“Crap.” You say softly to yourself before making your way over.

You open up the door and are confronted with a serious yet also somehow nervous looking Kageyama. You step aside to allow him entrance into your room and decide to let him speak first so you’ll know which portion of your plan you should enact. Closing the door, you turn and face him to see that he is now scrutinizing your face.

“Is it true? Did you mean it?”

“Is what true?” You respond even though you are well aware of what he’s talking about.

“Are you really in love with me?”

Damn his unreadable face, you think as you try to decide how to reply. You open your mouth to say something when Kageyama cuts you off.

“Because I love you too.” He blurts out in a serious yet excitable tone.

Now it was your turn to have your eyes pop out of your head.

“You do?” You say, still stunned by his words.

“Yeah I do. You meant it, right?” He says with uncertainty now apparent in his voice.

“Yes, I meant it. I love you Tobio-chan.” You give him a big smile.

He lets out a sigh of relief.

“So are we a couple now?”

“Only if you want to be.” You say.

“I do want to.”

“Ok so we’re a couple now then.”

He smiles at you before furrowing his brow slightly.

“Ok, so now what?”

You give a little chuckle at his adorably clueless face.

“Why don’t we start with you coming over here and giving me a kiss?”

“Gladly.” He responds happily before going over to you and pressing his lips against yours.
