AN: I can’t believe I missed this little cherubs birthday 😫 and because my favorite Hinata is Brazil, Beach Volleyball Hinata, I figured we owed him his own headcanon set 😌

Literally going from “your nothing without Kageyama” to leaving Kageyama behind to conquer the world

Honestly we love a good character development 👏🏻

If anyone in HQ can handle adapting to a new country, it’s Hinata

And Oikawa but this isn’t about him

Hinata had the social skills, friendly demeanor and lack of giving a single fuck what people think of him 💅

Literally all he wants to do is play volleyball

Well at least, until you showed up 👀

You see, Hinata was pretty popular in high school

He occasionally dated here and there but nothing serious

Man’s was way too busy competing with Kageyama to have any time for dating 🙄

Originally when he went to Brazil, he didn’t have any intention on dating

He was there for a limited time and that time was all volleyball focused

Sure that strategy worked for a while but when he started competing, he began to notice the draw beach volleyball brought

I mean serious, have you ever seen/ played beach volleyball???

Like in sand? First off, it’s a BITCH. Second, it’s incredibly difficult

Crowds would gather to watch him and others play

And sure enough, you were a regular at their games

Whether you liked the actual game of volleyball or just like watching hot guys run around, the sport drew you in 😌

You’d noticed the little tangerine man often and found him both incredibly attractive as well as very skilled

You’d always manage to find a way to watch him compete because there was just something about him

Now Hinata grew to remember your face, having seen it at basically all his games

Obsessed much Yn?

Literally me but ok 😭

You were one of the few people that showed up to watch all his games

Soon, he’d start looking for you specifically

Did he know your name? No

Had he ever spoken a single word to you? Nope

Did he fully believe you were coming strictly to watch him compete! Absolutely 💯

Hinata would take with his partner about you often and his partner would say

“Why don’t you find out who they are?”

And Hinata would be like “yeah I will : D”

And then he wouldn’t 🙄

To be fair, you’d leave as soon as the match was over, far to nervous to ever speak to him

While Hinata wasn’t tall, he looked rather imposing on the court/beach

He took the game seriously and you admired that about him

But that still didn’t mean you were gonna actually say anything to him

Finally, about 8 games deep into your low-key/high- key stalking situation, Hinata finally had enough

He was going to find out who you were

So in true Hinata fashion, the minute the game was over, he shouted “HEY YOU!”

All while looking you dead in the eyes

🎶 when he looks at me 🙂 and I look at him 😳and he looks at meeee 😃 and I look at him 👁️👄👁️

Like the dumbass you are (I’m calling you a dumbass out of love Yn), you look left, then right, then left again and point to yourself

Hinata just runs up to you and immediately starts talking

“I finally caught up to you!”

“I’ve seen you at all my games and I figured maybe you were here because you liked Beach volleyball but then I thought ‘hmm I wonder if maybe they like me’ and I wanted to talk to you but I could never catch you!”

“Then I figured I’d just call out your name but silly me, I don’t even know your name!”

And that YN, is exactly how your situationship with Hinata started

After you finally grew more comfortable, Hinata would seek you out at every turn

He’d be out delivering for people and just pop into see you

He’d always invite you to come watch him practice or even just hang out at the beach

He introduced you to One Piece 😱

Thankfully, you and Hinata knew the same language so communication wasn’t difficult

At first, it started out as a friendship

But it didn’t take long to develop into more

Hinata enjoyed everything about you and how you made Brazil more like a second home to him

And in true Hinata style, he confesses 🫣

Honestly, I firmly believe a relationship with Hinata would be amazing

He would be such a supportive and encouraging partner

If you want to do something, he’s your biggest supporter

If something bad happens, he’s there to lead a listening ear and he gives THE BEST hugs 🫂

When it comes to Hinata leaving for Japan, he obviously wants you to come

He hates the idea of a long distance but he’d do it for you

You agree to come with him but unfortunately you won’t be able to come anytime soon

Obviously you coming to Japan is amazing but Hinata misses you the entire time

He texts, FaceTimes, sends gifts, does whatever he can to stay close to you

When he signs with the Black Jackals, you are so excited for him

It means you won’t get to talk to him as much because of practice ☹️

And when he talks about his debut game, he’s sad you can’t be there to see him

Because you’ve been planning a surprise this entire time!

You arranged everything and you are ready to head for Japan!

Through Hinata, you met Yachi, Yamaguchi and Tsukishima and they agree to help you surprise Hinata

When it comes time for the game, Hinata is confused because he’s been trying to reach you all day

He’s wondering why you are responding to his texts or calls

It actually makes him super sad 😔

Thankfully MSBY is there to cheer him up!

“I’m sure Yn is just sleeping!” Bokuto says

“Or maybe out with friends!” Atsumu adds

“But Yn doesn’t have friends Yeah I’m sure that’s it,” Hinata sighs

You make your way to your seat, your #21 Hinata jersey in tow 💅

MSBY comes out and Hinata puts on his smile, despite feeling down

He looks up to the crowd and his eyes instantly land on you

He’s seriously so excited to see you and he’s instantly stoked!!

Hinata’s on fire now and he’s ready to dominate!

During the game, you get to watch him play indoor volleyball and it’s amazing

You hadn’t gotten to see much indoor play so your jaw was on the floor the entire time

After the game, you ran down to see Hinata and the moment he saw you, he ignores everyone and runs to you

“You came Yn, you really came!” He shouts, hugging you and giving you the biggest kiss ever!

“I did Sho and I’m so glad I did!” ♥️

it’s five am when shoyo wakes you up.

“let’s go on a roadtrip,” he says. his voice is raspy and his arms are still holding you.

“why would we?” you ask, slightly slurring words.

shoyo hesitates before answering. his eyes look at the ceiling, thinking. then, he turns at you with the fondest smile which makes you melt.

“let’s just do it.”

you prepare yourself for your spontaneous trip.

the wind ruffles shoyo’s hair as he drives. he keeps humming and singing love songs, even throwing you a wink every now and then. the sun is rising and you realize how you want to stay like this forever, with him and his laughter.

you’re so entranced in the moment you don’t notice how you’ve passed through the same roads twice, not until shoyo frowns and mutters almost inaudibly “i think we’re lost”.

which is well, not great.

“what do you mean we’re lost?” his eyes don’t meet yours and that’s how you know how terribly lost you are.

you start laughing. shoyo looks at you as if you’re mad but you don’t care, because it’s funny. it’s funny how you’ve gotten lost, how you’re out here at six am in some unknown road, how shoyo laughs too along with you.

“you’re not mad?” he holds your hand and pulls it closer to him.

“no, why would i be?” you answer, rests of laughter still laced in your voice, “i mean, this is not the dumbest thing you could have done.”

“you know me so well,” he says, giggling.

shoyo squeezes your hand and turns the radio on.

he keeps driving along the road.

Hinata Hyuga | General Relationship Headcanons

A/N: Wanted to create some headcanons for the sunshine girl herself!

Warnings: None, mainly fluff.

Summary: This is how I feel she would be in a relationship and the dynamics of it.

- People often view Hinata as the shy and submissive type, however I think she’d definitely be more stubborn and firm and loud with her partner, once they’re comfortable with each other that is.

- She is shy so I don’t see her as the type to like a whole lot of PDA. (public displays of affection)

- But that doesn’t mean she won’t hold her partners hand or sneak a little peck now and then.

- I feel like her love language is gift giving and quality time.

- She would cherish every moment she gets with her partner because she knows that life can be fleeting.

- NEVER goes to sleep angry at her partner and always insists on making things right.

- Definitely hates arguing or fighting, she’d rather have a cool and calm discussion about what’s bothering her partner or herself and try to resolve it.

- Loves cooking ! It’s one of her favorite hobbies and she grows to love it even more when her significant other is involved!

- Loves having her hair played with, it makes her feel all blissful.

- Touch starved and will melt into a puddle whenever her significant other shows her affection.

- Loves being able to sit in comfortable silence with the ones she loves.

- Training with her is brutal but fun.

- Can get very insecure from time to time and it can effect her relationship if she bottles up how she’s feeling.

- She doesn’t often bottle up her feelings though, she finds it unhealthy.

- 100% is so encouraging with mental health and physical health.

- She does go to therapy every two weeks.

- A big advocate on self love and worth.

- She likes to remind her loved ones on how much she loves and appreciates them.

- Cried after her first ever date, she was young and didn’t think she would ever get nor deserve love and kind words.

- Has a really good relationship with her family in her later years.

- Tries to live life the way she wants and will make her most happy, because again, life is fleeting.

he knows the absolute basics and that's it

like, the food will get made but it's not gonna be fancy or pretty

so when you offer to teach him a little he's kinda excited

mostly because he can spend time with you but also he needs help

i think he'd need the most help with knife skills

because anything he chops up ends up so uneven

he takes your advice so seriously it's hilarious

like, sir, this is an informal cooking lesson not a life or death situation so please stop acting like it is

he's so concentrated on doing things right you barely have any conversations that aren't about food

the good thing is he learns quickly so at least he'll get something out of it

if you know how to plate things nicely he'll be in awe forever

keep him away from the stove. and also the knives, but mostly just the stove

literally he's such a hazard it's terrifying but also hilarious

he's overconfident in his skills what skills?

he's absolutely stealing little tastes all the time, says it's "quality control" and thinks it's the most important thing ever

you have to walk him through any and every task you have him do

and don't you dare let him do something unsupervised

he gets chatty and then stops paying attention and screws something up

the food is absolutely his second last priority so you've gotta carry

at least you have fun though

if you ask him to get an ingredient for you he will get the wrong one

not even on accident, he knows what to grab, but instead he decides to get something else to bother you

he's hardly productive because he'd rather let the expert handle it

when you ask him to do something he'll be resistant

but secretly he really wants to help but is scared he'll make a total fool of himself

and to be honest he probably does

but it's cute so you're not mad

like, tsukki, i know you're trying but those slices are way too thick

when you finally get to eat the food he's so happy

because wow, look what you did! and he got to help!

but of course he doesn't let you know how happy he is because he can't let you know how smitten he is >:[

he tries so hard <3 <3

but let's face it, he has not a single clue what he's doing

tell him what to do and he'll do it... not well by any means but he'll do it

honestly he'd prefer to watch the artist at work

but also... must. be. helpful.

at some point he spilled something or dropped something and started apologizing so profusely

it wasn't even something that mattered though? just clean it up and it's not a big deal?

but he's absolutely genius when it comes to plating

he will turn your simple (or not simple whatever you want) dish into a plate worthy of a five star restaurant

like.... it's so pretty you don't want to eat it

but of course you have to and it's delicious <3

My Standards: A Hinata x NB! y/n

(Y/n uses they them btw if the title didn't already say that)

They entered the gym, excited. This was their first ever volleyball tournament. They felt like an entirely different person. They walked with Tanaka and Nishinoya, their good friends, talking about volleyball, but also other things, like music, video games, and food.

“Hey Y/n-chan!” yelled their other friend, Hinata. He was running towards them full speed. They braced for impact as he came closer. As Hinata crashed into them, he hugged them, smiling a wide smile. He stopped hugging them and walked beside them.

“Are you excited for our tournament? This is your first one, right?” he said. They nodded.

“Every time I enter these gyms, it feels like my first tournament in middle school. That was a good day, even though that jerk kageyama beat me.” he scoffed.

“You’re reminiscing as if it was that long ago,” They said, trying to keep up with his bouncy walk/jog. The whole team went upstairs to the training rooms to prepare and get their team uniforms on. This time they used the black and orange uniforms, their favorite. As everyone got set up, They looked around at everything, mesmerized. As their eyes wandered, they locked eyes with the coach. He looked at them, shook his head, and walked towards the team.

“Excuse me, but could you ma’am please move away from this team. If you're cheering on, go to the bleachers.” he deadpanned. They looked at him, confused.

“I'm on this team. Look at the roster.” they said. They grabbed their jersey from the bench. The coach stormed over to them.

“You are a woman. This is a boy’s tournament. You do not belong here. If you’re on the roster, you must have changed it, which is illegal. You will not play.” he said, in a trying to be calm tone. They backed up, but the coach gripped them by the forearm, dragging them to the bleachers. They tried to prevent oncoming tears until they heard a voice behind them.

“Hey! If you want proof that they are on the team and belong here, then read this!” Hinata gave the coach a sheet of paper.

“This is our team roster written up by our captain and personal coach. This person is not a woman and therefore allowed on our team, and is.” Hinata exclaimed, seriously. They smiled at him as the coach scoffed and let go of them. They walked over to Hinata.

“Thank you, Hinata. That was really nice of you.” they said, putting their hands on Hinata’s shoulders. Hinata looked at them, a light pink haze coating his cheeks.

“It was no problem. I would do anything for you, Y/n'' he said, not realizing exactly what came out of his mouth. They looked at him, now being the one with pink cheeks. Everyone was ready, and they all were going to try and win.

They were all driving home, excited and happy. They had won a tournament, not that it was a surprise, but they were still excited. Y/n, on the other hand, was still gripping with what the coach said. They don’t belong here, do they? They're not a boy, but not a girl either. They don’t belong anywhere at all. They sat in their seat silently, wondering about their place. They couldn’t tell anyone in the team, they wouldn’t understand, would they. They all belong. They are all boys, but they are not. They sat looking out the window, suppressing all tears and emotions. They hoped nobody would notice, but a certain person did. The person who saved them.

They all got out of the car and Y/n walked off to their reserved hotel room that they shared with Hinata, hoping he wouldn’t come in. They flopped onto their bed, curled up, holding onto the comforter of their bed. They started to let go of all they repressed and sobbed their eyes out. They rocked their head forward and screamed quietly into a pillow. Just to their luck, Hinata walked in just as they finished screaming. Hinata looked at their sobbing face and red eyes. He walked over to them and sat on their bed, putting his hand on theirs.

“Y/n...are you okay?” he asked, worry in his voice. Y/n jumped at his voice. Hinata looked at them, genuine worry painting his brown eyes. Y/n looked into his eyes with their own e/c ones. They sat up and looked at him, wiping their tears in one eye.

“I was just…thinking about…what the coach said.” They muttered, loud enough for Hinata to hear. “He’s right..I don't belong here. You all are boys, I'm stupid for thinking they’d let me pass…I should just leave the-” Y/n got cut off as Hinata kissed their lips softly. They looked at him, blushing madly.

“I-i’m sorry I wanted you to stop talking about yourself that way and also tell you that I liked you at the same time so that you understood why I cared about you so much uh-” Hinata stopped, realizing he was rambling again. Y/n smiled at him, looking into his eyes.

“Hinata, kiss me again.” they muttered. Hinata looked at them, blushing wildly.

“Y-You really mean that?!” he asked, sputtering. Y/n smiled at him and nodded. They inched closer to him, looking into his eyes. He took his gentle hand and cupped their face, wiping a few tears off of their eyes.

“You really shouldn’t be wasting this pretty face with tears.” Hinata smiled and kissed Y/n again, passionately, but soft. Y/n kisses back, locking their lips together. Hinata pulled them closer, wrapping his arms around their waist. Y/n puts their hands on the back of his neck, putting their hand in his soft orange hair. Hinata stops kissing for a moment, catching his breath, then goes back in, kissing just as he was before. Y/n kisses back. Hinata slips his hands under their shirt holding their real waist. He squeezes their waist and licks their bottom lip, begging for access into their mouth. Y/n grants it, parting their lips just enough that Hinata’s tongue could fit through. Hinata gently slid his tongue into their mouth, holding their hand. As their lips were linked by their tongues, Y/n moaned into the kiss, making Hinata jump. He started drawing circles on their waist with his finger to draw more out of them, and that's exactly what happened. Just as Hinata pinned Y/n to their bed, though, Tanaka walked in.

“OH MY GOD GUYS COME SEE THIS” he yelled, running down the hall back to everyone else. Hinata blushed out of embarrassment.

“I’m sorry I thought I locked the door but maybe-” Hinata rambled as he watched Y/n close the door and lock it. They walked back to Hinata and sat on his lap.

“Now, where were we?”

my mans is SNATCHED. slide your hands around his waist, poke it a little do WHATEVER. your hands have probably been on his waist more than his hands on yours.

i think his core is pretty well built. have we seen it in the anime or manga? maybe. but from what i've seen, his physique is very 😳 (a tad bit better than his brother's i fear)

cooking together!!! different recipes each date, basking in each other's presence. its always so fun and the results are always almost flawless!

at one-point y'all were making cupcakes, it was literally osamu baking them and you decorated it.

AND OBVIOUSLY the basic, he would routinely give you handmade onigiri, in different shapes, flavours and whatever you like ✨

kinda scowls at you when you put your hands under his shirt but secretly really loves it so when you slither your hands away he instantly places your hands back and make sure your hands STAY there. bonus points if you have warm body temperature. he likes the feeling of your warm hands on his slightly colder body.

his wardrobe has drastically evolved from muted tones to slightly lighter and vibrant clothing ever since you insisted on getting matching stuff!!

WILL say he is not a jewellery person but collects, keeps and takes care of all the little trinkets you give him DAILY. he has a little sticker on the edge of one of his books and a little moon sticker on the end piece of his sports glasses

he also defineitely has really thick curly blond lashes. you say they are one of his charming points but he gets all flustered. when you insist to put clear mascara on them, he doesn't really look like he has a problem with it 🥹

what could his ahh possibly be listening to with those headphones on so often (real)

sends you playlists at an insane hour that go for insane amounts of time. but i KNOW his taste is immaculate. every song always gives you goosebumps or makes your heart tighten

please do a spotify blend with him (he was gonna ask you, but you beat him to it)(he was shy)

oh AND the shared playlists actually are insane!! so much good music all at once?? crazy yall 😭😭 (wave to earth, cody fry, the smiths, daniel caesar, rex orange county)

honestly, out of all these men HINATA SHOYO is the BEST candidate for taking care of a person except himself. has no limits in his stamina, and will only listen to you when you ask him maybe its time for a break. does he overwork? not necessarily. does he work too hard? yes, in a positive way. please remind him to eat because he will forget sometimes

he will NEVER admit he likes being the little spoon LMAO he finds being vunerable in your arms a tad bit silly, and it bugs him. after a long week of practice games and insisting kageyama and yachi to practice with him the instant he falls on the bed, he finds himself melting into your touch. your voice gets a little more buttery and he loves it, falling asleep instantly

hes probably a hard sleeper too 😭 he wont wake up till he feels your cold hands on his face or the sunbeams from the curtain literally bleed into the sheets and steal its colour

PLEASE STROKE HIS HAIR. he loves it. he absolutely loves it. again, melts into your touch like ice-cream. his heart will feel tight and he has a lil' blush 🥹 whats even more priceless is his lips slightly agape after hes fallen asleep... how can you NOT love this man

one of the only boys on this list who will LET you put little pink bows or style his hair in braids and clips. (if you're imagining timeskip hinata, you have attempted to put a little bow around his bicep but you underestimated its size and it BROKE. gosh what an experience)

DANCES WITH YOU EVERYWHERE!!! omg i love him so much. doesn't care if you have two left feet, he just loves the feeling in his heart when he sees your smile as he spins you around. in the rain, in big empty rooms, in the kitchen, anywhere.

PLEASE braid this man's hair. 😞 he pretends to despise it and thinks you don't notice when he literally melts under your touch. he feels safe 'nd comfy and hopes it lasts forever, when your hand retracts he has a lil' pout

You nodded, admitting the stubborn man in front of you was correct.

i would like to imagine that you and akaashi actually met on a night out, celebrating your birthday’s separately. like you’re both with your own friends and bump into each other and somehow exchange the fact that it’s both of your birthdays and he offers to buy you a drink to celebrate. you think ‘oh that’s not fair i should buy him a drink for his birthday.’ overall you guys hit it off from then and when our guys finally start dating it’s just like a mute-cute with your birthday and you guys celebrate together rather than out with friends now.

This one is for the Karasuno first years, will do a few more for the 2nd + 3rd years and few members of other teams

Will also do a hc of the reader confessing first

Hinata:

It was something you expected because he couldn't be any more obvious about having a crush on you

However, it took way longer than you thought for him to actually stand in front of you

Like this boy have no idea how painfully obvious he was being and everyone had to sit by the side and watch him figure out his feelings in real time

This idiot couldn't differentiate between simply liking someone and a crush

When he finally realised what he felt for you wasn't platonic, he went straight for it

He caught you after class, confessed really loudly

You felt like everyone on that floor was able to hear this idiot's confession of his love for you

He definitely was nervous, considering how loud he was being

When you accepted his confession, he was so happy that he jumped up and hugged you so tightly that you felt like your ribs were going to collapse

There was also a very audible yelp from him from the happiness

Arguably took long than Hinata to understand his feelings but was also more subtle with his actions

However, everyone except a few was able to tell that he had it bad for you

Even after understanding he had a crush on you, he didn't confess

However, under the help of a few seniors, mainly Sugawara

Our lovely setter prodigy finally decided to face you and express his feelings

It was mainly muttering at first, but after telling him that you couldn't hear him, his voice rose suddenly and went for the overkill

Now the entire sector of the building could hear him

He fried himself immediately after that from embarrassment

But you were nice enough to hold in your chuckle and comfort him, then accepting his confession

Now you had the honour of watching Kageyama turn into a tomato in two seconds

He would be stammering and stuttering all over the place

He was overjoyed, but failed miserably in expressing it coherently

It took him quite some time to come in term with it

And even when he accepted it, he didn't confess immediately

Instead, he was planning strategically on how to confess to you so there will be a higher chance of you reciprocating those feelings back

This isn't how feelings work but we'll give him the credit for putting in the effort

You always thought that this guy disliked you, or were at least, indifferent about you, the thought that he liked you did not once show up in your mind

You couldn't tell if it was because he was nervous or because he was scared

When you accepted his feelings, he was overjoyed, but he still doubled checked with you

Because maybe, he heard it wrong

After getting an confirmation, he gleamed, you could almost see a fluffy tail wagging behind him

The first request he had for you after making sure you are now in a relationship with him is:

You could tell easily that this girl had something for you from the startled expressions and act of running away and hiding from seeing you

However, you couldn't quite determine whether it was because she liked you or she was scared of you

You thought it might be the latter, but the reactions her friends gave suggested the former

Nothing really happened for a long time so you thought she would never arrive to confession

She proved you wrong

She finally stopped you at recess all nervous and fidgety, she looked like she was on the verge of crying

She handed you a lovely envelope and just ran

You didn't even get a chance to stop her and she's just gone

The letter was well written, well decorated and very cute

She expressed all the feelings she had for you in her neat handwriting

There were cute drawings decorated throughout the page, indicating how much energy she put into this

Since she already gave you love letter, you knew it was impossible to receive a love confession in person now, so you decided to chase her down yourself

You caught her after class one day, then kabedon'ed her so she won't run away again

She was squealing silently and almost died from your action

She thought you were going to beat her up

When you took out a familiar well kept envelop and said that you accept her confession

She practically stopped functioning. It took her several seconds to process what you said

When she finally understood it, she looked at your with sparkling eyes, asking for a reaffirmation

You repeated your words

She got so happy that she was jumping up and down

Some passing students heard the commotion and checked what was happening

She didn't even notice them

She was just happy to finally be with you

Also I don't even know if this counts as hc anymore because it feels kinda long

Don't ask me why yachi's part is so long, she was too cute and my brain turned to a jumbled goo from the cuteness attack so that's probably why I wrote too much
