उसके कानो में झुमके झचते है, मानों जैसे बच्चे चांद को देख हस्ते है, उसे देख रंग भी अब फीके लगते है

उसके नाक पर सुंदर सी वो बाली, कमाल हैं रेशम सी जुल्फे वो काली,

अनजानी कशिश जगाती है उसके होटों की वो लाली, और अदाएं तो उफ्फ मदहोश करने वाली

काजल से सजी नशीली वो आंखें, उसकी मुस्कुराहट और उसकी बातें,

उसकी करीबी में कुछ तो बात है, अब तन्हा नही लगती ये राते

शौक से मेंहदी वो कुछ यूं लगाती हैं, गजरे अपने बालो में सजाती है

जब सज धज कर वो आती है, एक हसीन सी कयामत ढाती है

कलाई में चूड़ियां और पैरो में वो पायल, ना जाने कितनो को करती होगी घायल

सजना संवरना हो या नही, उसमे कुछ तो है कायल।

रिश्ता समझने का हुनर किस्मत से मिलता है, समझ कर निभाने से वो रिश्ता खिलखिलाता है...

जीवन में कितने रिश्ते हमसे जुड़ते हैं... आखिर क्यों कुछ ही रिश्ते प्रेम की राह पर मूडते हैं?

इसका कारण सबके लिए अलग होगा, मेरे लिए रिश्तों में खट्टापन आने के दो मूल हैं- एक तो व्यक्ति का महत्व न होना और दूजा नियति का धोखा !!

रिश्तों के घाव जीवन-अंत तक गीले रहते हैं, उसके दर्द से वे सब अंदर ही अंदर आंसू बहाते हैं...

विडम्बना तो देखिये, चोट देने वाला बिना किसी परेशानी से हंसता है... याह देख घायल व्यक्ति तिल-तिल कर मरता है...

जीवन में कहीं भी जाओ, कुछ भी करो, याद रखो ये बात, "रहिमन धागा प्रेम का, मत तोड़ो चटका य टूटे पे फिर ना जुरे, जुरे गाँठ परी जाय"||

I live in pain i dont know about. There is a little gloom even on days i have had the most perfect hair of all times. I feel a little sad when i am on the third cup of my coffee. And whilst i am busy working, my hair pinned tight, i would want to let them loose to sway on my face and then tuck them behind my ears in the most nostalgic of ways. It scares me sometimes how there is a different world in my mind. I have had a sad childhood.

मैं हिन्दी की वो बेटी हूँ, जिसे उर्दू ने पाला है

अगर हिन्दी की रोटी है, तो उर्दू का निवाला है

मुझे है प्यार दोनों से, मगर ये भी हकीकत है

लता जब लडखडाती है, तो हया ने संभाला है

मैं जब हिन्दी से मिलती हूँ, तो उर्दू साथ आती है

और जब उर्दू से मिलती हूँ, तो हिन्दी घर बुलाती है

मुझे दोनों ही प्यारी है, मैं दोनों की दुलारी हूँ.

इधर हिन्दी-सी माई है, उधर उर्दू-सी खाला है,

यहीं थीं बेटियाँ दोनों, यहीं पे जन्म पाया है.

सियासत ने इन्हें हिन्दू और मसलिम बनाया है.

मुझे दोनों की हालत एक-सी मालूम होती है,

कभी हिन्दी पे बंदिश है, तो कभी उर्दू पे ताला है.

भले अपमान हिन्दी हो, या तौहीन उर्दू की

खुदा की है कसम हर हिज्र, हया ये सह नहीं सकती

मैं दोनों के लिए लडती हूँ, और दावे से कहती हूँ

मेरी हिन्दी भी उत्तम है, मेरी उर्दू भी आला है.
