Okay I know I said I’d write these eventually but I’ll probably just write drabbles for them: Can you please do some headcanons on the Hashiras of your choice reacting to their civilian s/o being injured by a demon? THANK YOU I LOVE YOU-

Characters: Uzui, Rengoku, Obanai, Mitsuri, and Shinobu!

Tengen Uzui:

- For a brief moment that cocky exterior fades when he sees you, his eyes widen and his smirk falls but then he grits his teeth and his fists clench around his swords handles.

- He fights them off for a bit but not to kill, just to get them away from you and he orders his wives to get you to safety which they were going to do anyways because, um, DUH, THEY LOVE YOU.

- Suma is sobbing and begging you not to die, Makio is telling her to SHUT UP AND HELP, and Hina is the one that's holding you assuring you that you'll be okay.

- But back to Tengen, whose absolutely PISSED OFF. The moment you're safe, he then gives the demon the scariest goddamn glare ever and the demon realizes that they have FUCKED UP SEVERLY.

- He doesn't hold back during this fight at all and things get a bit more flashy. And by "Flashy" I mean "he brutally slaughters the bastard in cold blood because NO ONE lays a hand on his lovers, especially YOU."

- He wants the demon to feel pain but he also wraps the battle up quickly because he wants to check in on you as soon as possible. It's a bit of a hard call so he just casually lands a few brutal hits here and there before he finishes them off.

- And then he's hauling ass back to you four where he finds you asleep in Hina's lap, Suma cuddled up to your side with a tear streaked face from crying, and Makio holding your hand as she looks at Tengen as they inform him that they've managed to undo some of the damage but that they should bring you to the butterfly estate.

- He feels a lot of guilt in his heart as he sits next to you by your bed and he's there when you wake up, his wives give him alone time because he's feeling really guilty that you got hurt because of him and that the only person who can ease that guilt is you. And you do, as you kiss him and tell him that it wasn't his fault and praise him on how he flashily he defended you, which makes him smile.

- He praises you for being pretty flashy yourself, after all, not just anyone can survive a demon attack and if anything, it makes him even prouder that he's one of your lovers.

Kyojuro Rengoku:

- Rengoku wouldn't take his lover with him on a mission but I can imagine that it happens during what should've been a harmless patrol when suddenly a demon attacks and he wasn't prepared for it.

- He wasn't fast enough to react ans he regrets it because the memory plays in his head in slow motion as he watched the demon give you one brutal injury. However he gets over the shock quickly and realizes he has to protect you.

- First priority would be getting you to safety or just trying to kill the demon as fast as possible depending on how bad the injury is. If its super bad, he will try to lure the demon away from you or run with you in his arms to place you somewhere away from the demon.

- Would focus on making the demon's death quick as possible and after he's finished, he's picking you up and taking you to the Butterfly estate.

- No but him putting his Haori on you or ripping a part of it so he can tie it over your wound and cover it up is just something thats actually so precious to me. If you weren't in agonizing pain, you'd giggle over how romantic the situation is.

- HE DOES NOT LEAVE YOUR SIDE. He waits for Kanae's diagnosis for you and insists that he stay with you until you wake up. He also feels a lot of guilt, wondering how he could possibly let something like this happen to you out of all people. Yeah, it a surprise attack but he's fully convinced he should've been prepared or noticed the demon earlier.

- Holds your hand the entire night too🥺 More importantly, he's got two fingers on your pulse just because it kinda relaxes him. He trusts the medical professionals in the Butterfly estate but it makes him relax a little when he feels it.

- When you wake up, you notice your fingers intertwined with Rengoku's and he's kinda dozing but then you start moving in your bed to sit up, it wakes him up immediately and his eyes are on you as he smiles brightly at you and gets excited, "You're okay!"

- Golden retriever energy, is so thrilled that you're alright but from now on, he's a bit hesitant to let you go on night patrols with him.

Obanai Iguro:

- This man is protective as fuck and when you get hurt, he makes sure he hurts the demon 10x worse. You gotta feel bad for the demon because Obanai is already merciless to demons but this dude becomes straight up malicious as he makes the demon pay for what they did.

- Kaburamaru has to remind him that you're injured and that's when he realizes he has to finish up quickly. The minute he's done, he goes from big scary demon slayer to concerned boyfriend.

- He apologizes to you as he takes you to the butterfly estate, for putting you in a position to be hurt and for losing a control of himself during his battle with the demon.

- He will visit you as often as possible but he realizes that he can't let this happen again and starts training even harder so he can prevent this from happening in the future. He cares for very few people so with that being said, he'd rather die than let you get hurt.

- This also kinda intensifies his self-loathing as well. He already thought he was unworthy to be with someone like you but he prided himself on his abilities to protect you but this incident makes really makes him relapse for a bit.

- Either Kaburamaru was watching over you whenever Obanai was training but if he was on missions, he'd have Mitsuri watch over and inform him of when you wake up. So the first thing you see is Mitsuri's smiling face and when you ask her where Obanai is, she informs you of Obanai's behavior and now you're concerned.

- Regardless if you find him yourself or if Mitsuri runs to find him, he's apologizing for how unworthy he was to be your lover and feels horrible for what happened and that he'll make sure it never happens again.

- You tell him that he is more than worthy of your love and you kiss him reassuringly on his cheek, which makes him a little flustered but your words also just...make him so happy to hear that even when he failed to protect you, you still loved him.

- This doesn't mean he stops giving himself a harder training regimen and you're definetly gonna need to tell him to chill out and go easy on himself. Also, all demons should be very wary of him in future because this only makes his hatred for demons grow.

Mitsuri Kanroji:

- She's shocked and she's horrified when she sees your injury. When she sees the demon about to strike you, she slices its arm off and quickly grabs you to take you somewhere safe before she can face off with the demon.

- No but this girl can be absolutely vicious when she fights and while she isn't cruel or too overly violent, she is ashamed to admit that her emotions did take over for a while.

- As the love Hashira and as a person in general, Mitsuri has always loved with her heart of hearts but the love she has with you is what she's been looking for her entire life so she absolutely refuses to lose that with you.

- Insistent on helping with your recovery as well. Whatever the nurses or Kanae need her to do, she's do it. And unless she's getting in the way or if it's posing a serious threat, she also stubbornly refuses to leave you.

- NO BUT HER LOOKING AT YOU AS YOU LAY IN BED AS YOUR INJURED AND she's sitting next to you and she feels guilty so she leans over and gives you a "feel better kiss" on your cheek and that's when you wake up and it furthers her belief that you and her were meant to be true loves.

- Will make and prepare meals for you too. As you recover and if you let her, she will 100% absolutely feed you and pamper you the entire time. After every mission or training session, she's spending time with you and your recovery.

- Of course she feels bad for what happens but she can't change the past but she can use this to learn how to better protect you in the future. But yes, she's more focused on getting you back to being healthy and helping you recover.

- If YOU feel guilty for being "useless" she's quick to hold you and reassure you that you should never think of yourself like that and that she's just happy you're alive!

Shinobu Kocho:

- Oh my, this simply just won't do! She looks surprised at first but then she gives the demon a smile, a very chilling and foreboding smile that just radiates bloodlust and murderous intent.

- Her happiness was taken from her before and she'll absolutely be damned if she let's demons take it from her again. So she enters battle with the same easy going smile but her words express the hatred and the amount of anger and rage she feels towards the vile creature.

- When she's done with it, she's quick to treat you and take care of you. Honestly because she's already so well versed in medicine she's very sweet to you but as she does what has to be done to heal you, she just gently caresses your face and her smile fades a little bit as guilt eats at her heart.

- When you wake up, she's smiling once more but she's more attentive with your needs. She doesn't tease you as much for a while, unless she's having to spoonfeed you because she thinks your face is very cute all red and shy like that~

- Sees to all your needs herself, checking you over, making note on your injuries that you sustained and that you're feeling better.

- She also insists on staying with you overnight and when you feel a little better, then she'll take you back to her room where she can better provide for you there and be a bit more openly affectionate.

- At night, you can feel her arms wrap you a bit closer to her as she sleeps, as if she's having a bad dream of you being taken from her.

- She never explicitly shows she's guilty or says so but you can tell that on some level she blames herself a little. Like obviously the DEMON is the one who did this but she can't help but wonder what she could've done to prevent this.
