A silly little idea I came up with (or actually I’ve had it for a while) when I was talking to Kazin, and as always, she drew it out for me… xD
The idea is that if Yuma goes into (or is forced) into a Mystery Labyrinth while he’s sick; in the Labyrinth, the illness temporarily disappears since they are in an alternative dimension. So while healthy, he can solve the mystery with no obstacles.
However…when he leaves the Mystery Labyrinth? His condition worsens. Depending on how long he was in there, or how much energy he used, it’s all transferred to his body outside, and…yeah he practically collapses.
LATER…
Shinigami knows exactly what she did.
What a little jerk x’D

Hello!
If you're not too busy, would you mind listing some of the things you think count as death flags for Mr. Spender?
There's the obvious fact that he's the "old" mentor to group of young protagonists, but what else do you think would count?
OHH BOY ok so I'd think I'm a crackpot for this but since we're talking about Zack "Foreshadowing" Morrison. I have some thoughts
No harm in leading with the (chronologically) first thing that jumped out at me:
This one IMMEDIATELY made me antsy whenever I came back to it after my initial read, and considering Zack has referred to it on twitter in the past as one of their favorite jokes it's definitely not been forgotten about.
Second, the sheer amounts of near-misses, jokey or not, of Spender narrowly avoiding specifically lightning
Again, not much, but it's weird that it happened thrice, latter two of which had real gravitas rather than an one-off joke.
And third, Spender himself. He's repeatedly shown himself to be kind of a self sacrificing idiot, as well as prideful to a fault. Granted, it's both him and Mina trying to take on all the responsibility of saving Mayview and its inhabitants from their fate..
But Spender is exactly that right measure of doesn't-value-himself-enough (chest footprint aftercare or lack thereof), having an obscene amount of power (enables his loner act + pride) and poor judgement that has the capacity to put him at great risk. And it has!
Spender has not only shown low enough self-esteem to view himself as the de-facto scapegoat for the safety of the town, but also prideful enough to make very bad calls that end up in people, often himself, hurt (COUGH FORGE INCIDENT COUGH)
This is all conjecture, but it's definitely enough to make me worried about him :') Even if all this doesn't mean he'll necessarily die he's definitely getting (even more) seriously injured at some point. I love the guy but he's so far doing a horrible job of convincing me he wants to live bad enough to circumvent at least that

diavolo 🌠 !
The day that Diavolo fell in love it was raining.
The morning had begun gray, a slow drizzle, but by mid-day it had crashed into a proper storm. Barbatos had been caught several times staring out the window, watching the wind tear through the gardens and the water create rivers over the pathways. Diavolo had asked the demon if he was worried for his flowers, but Barbatos had only give him a thin smile and offered him a fresh pot of tea.
Eventually the prince made his way back to his office to continue working through the stack of his father’s paperwork. No. His paperwork. He was still adjusting to thinking of it that way, to taking ownership over the decisions he made every day. No longer would he have his father’s shadow to fall back on. No longer would he have his father’s shadow oppressing him.
While Diavolo mused over those two thoughts, the storm continued. It seemed like it was demanding something from him, he thought with mild amusement, like it wanted his attention.
“Not now, storm, Barbatos will scold me if I don’t get these finished,” he tried to jest aloud, but his voice fell flat in the empty room. And anyway, his butler was far too distracted today to pay him much thought.
‘Perhaps,’ Diavolo then thought, setting down his pen and giving a stretch, ‘A walk will do me some good.’
And so on the day that Diavolo fell in love he went on a walk in the rain.
Of course, he took an umbrella. He wasn’t a barbarian. Still, it made him feel a bit wild to be strolling through the castle grounds in the rain. His father would never have allowed such behavior, and Diavolo suspected Barbatos might have something to say if he was caught as well. But for now, he was as free as a prince could get in his gilded cage.
“Well, here I am, storm,” he said pleasantly, smiling when a rumble of thunder answered him, “Yes, thank you, I must agree.” He chuckled to himself, shaking his head. Perhaps he was a bit lonely, he had to admit. Demon princes probably shouldn’t be talking to themselves in the rain.
He was about to turn around and return inside with a sudden light caught his eyes. Anticipating a score of lightning, Diavolo stopped and lifted his eyes to the boiling clouds in the sky. There, tearing across the grey, was not lightning but a shooting star.
A chill ran down Diavolo’s spine, a feeling he felt rarely enough to note it. A shooting star midday?
He had better make a very special wish.

I hate the existence of the Functionist Universe but if it has to happen don't make it fun for Megatron. It's not a second chance for him to do things right, it's him living like a fucking ghost feeling like he doesn't belong here. It's Megatron looking at familiar faces who look back at him as if he's a stranger-- because he is. It's Megatron accidentally forgetting himself and referencing something that happened in his universe and having to cover it up: "oh no, I must have been thinking of someone else, haha." It's Megatron knowing so much about Impactor and Orion Pax in a way that's unearned; he knows Impactor and Orion Pax in another universe, these are different people who only share an origin. These are people who have never met him but he knows almost everything about. These are people who only see Megatron's best and the knowledge chokes him when he's alone: "I am not the person you think I am." It's Megatron screaming at Terminus when he finds out what he did, saying "I didn't ask for this. I wanted to help my true home and yet you've locked me here forever to carry out a hollow recreation of a person I used to be but can't. I have done too much to be seen as a savior. This is not my home. These people don't know who I am or what I've done. This is not me. This is not me."

thinking ab goodtimeswithscar again. a man of so many masks, all with the same charismatic smile. a man who underneath those masks is so dedicated and loving and lonely and petty and chaotic and silly that it cant be contained. a man who watches and blends in and smiles and laughs, because thats the way hes learned to survive. a man who loves so much and so deeply and loyally that it kills him. a man who, when he stops loving like that, ends up winning his series. a man who is defined by trickster status but wants nothing more than to be defined by the friends he keeps. a man who fights against the want to love people and the want to survive. a man whose every interaction is transactional. a man who sells everything, his heart his soul his bones his blood, just to live another day.

Days passed, but Lucerys was not found. He was dead, indeed, but his remains were never found. The prince's belongings were placed on a pyre, burning them could soothe the queen's heart. However, the poor woman would end up collapsing again. Holding that little toy, rhaenyra would remember of her son's childhood, "he was just a boy," she would think. They took her sweet boy.

if i told you about a character who should have been a normal kid going to school but the universe decided he was a mistake and should never have been made and transported him to a liminal in-between pocket of hellish nothingness where all the world's mistakes were consigned, and living things there should have been frozen but he was awake and conscious, and when the heroes came to rescue another "mistake" they didn't even realize he was there and left him to rot, but he clung to their vehicle on the way out of the pocket hell dimension and was disfigured and permanently changed and robbed of his memories because of it until he was reminded by the heroes who then abandoned him and left him to become a villain out of necessity.................... no way you aren't DYING to know what incredible piece of fiction you've somehow missed out on, where can you find it, you want to be emotionally and psychically destroyed by this character. and i would have to tell you that he's a minor character named rob from cartoon network's cartoon the amazing world of gumball.
