Cannon Information:

Nikto (Neeek-toe) is a Operator in Spetsnaz for the Allegiance faction which is within the KorTac Organization. Basically hes a contractor for the contractors. Its cannon that he has facial scarring which is why he wears a mask. Not a turn off for me ah ha ha

So he isn’t necessarily a good guy like the 141 guys (even though now they’re considered war criminals I suppose) but he’s also not a bad guy. In summary, man does what he gets hired to do.

Anyways, after going AWOL in October 2022 from the Russian contracting military group he resurfaced in June 2023 (also the introduction of his character in the game). He resurfaced being the leader of a military group which was overtaking the Dutch city of Vondel.

Also mentioned on the page [ for the COD Mobile universe ] is that theres cannon beef between Ghost and Nikto!! Yes, you heard me right. So on the wiki it is mentioned that Nikto was working for a guy named Templar. Whom is betrayed and killed by Ghost. Then when Ghost went after everyone else in the helicopter he shot Nikto. It was thought that Nikto died from the shot but he didnt….

Nikto reappears when he takes a group of people hostage and records a video explaining that the world has failed them and has left people like (Nikto) to beg and then fight over the scraps. Price (yes Price) tries to convince Nikto to let the hostages go and to basically chill out but Nikto wins by blowing up the building. With the hostages inside.

Okay maybe he has beef with all of 141… and is kinda a bad guy I can change him

SO then time passes and Nikto reappears again seeking a gun deal with a dude named Gunzo. Gunzo asks Nikto “why a man wanted on every continent, doesnt have guns” this pisses Nikto off. Nikto replies with “i dont need guns” then proceeds to buy the guns from Gunzo. Then Nikto gasses the fuck out of Gunzo and his men with Nova Gas. Nikto explains to Gunzo that the world is failing blah blah. He then goes on to brag about how he doesnt need a gas mask to breath like everyone else because hes that edgy and then he just executes Gunzo. We can fix him

Nikto disappears again only to reappear flying a F-85B Bullshark and leading a military riot. He then orders a attack on Prices convoy (video below) and basically down their helicopter. In the video below you can see small arms fire, an RPG, and then a finishing shot. Which was shot by Nikto’s aircraft. Okay maybe he is bad, we can fix him ?

It is referenced in his bio MW and CODM that he has acute dissociative disorder. Which according to WebMD

“Dissociative disorders involve problems with memory, identity, emotion, perception, behavior and sense of self. Dissociative symptoms can potentially disrupt every area of mental functioning. Dissociation is a disconnection between a person’s thoughts, memories, feelings, actions or sense of who he or she is.”

Which is explained to be from when he was tortured by Mr. Z. That event is also where he got his facial scarring from. Although he is Russian; in current MW2 timeline his nationality and language is [ REDACTED ]. I was looking around on the internet for why and Reddit believes its due to current world current events/tension. Rewording to: we can accept and love him. I dont think we can fix him.

It's been… ah. December was the last month I've had the motivation to actually finish something. In fact I think I sketched this out EXACTLY 3 MONTHS AGO. But hey! I tried some new stuff out and I'm happy to finally have an updated reference of Acrid's kiddos after so many years. Feels good. Also, I'm going to start posting to Pillowfort in tandem with my other socials! Username is the same. :D Feel free to read an excerpt from their Toyhouse biography beneath the cut:

Poki (she/her) | Don (he/him) Bane's Mire, with Acrid Poki and Don are the adopted children of Acrid, the acidic swamp monster who lives in Bane's Mire. The two are about 8 years old. One day, Acrid was exploring out of his swamp a bit further than he normally would and ended up in the outskirts of a rural village- when suddenly he heard distant crying and decided to investigate. As Acrid is mostly driven by instinct, he instantly knew the sounds originated from an infant; two of them in fact. He listened closely and followed the sound to its source; a pair of twins, both swaddled in soft cloths, curiously peering out of their shared cradle at the now looming behemoth above them. Carefully keeping his jaw closed as to not burn them, he gently scooped their cradle off of the doorstep he found them on, and started the long walk home with his new family. It is uncertain if the babies were genuinely abandoned, or simply left unattended too long; regardless, Acrid has been an amazing father to the two of them. As mentioned in Acrid's bio, he encouraged them to socialize with other children of the village and to go to school so they can function in society with ease... all while watching like a hawk from a distance of course. He is extremely protective of them and would do anything to keep them safe. Also mentioned elsewhere, Acrid himself cannot speak very well- but Poki and Don are able to translate the sounds he makes. In fact, 'poki' and 'don' were simply sounds Acrid associated the children with and thus became their names.

Other facts: - Poki and Don have long, eye-covering hair because they've yet to have it cut in their lives. - The plants found in their hair is by choice! Poki found a single blossom tree she loves to take care of in the outskirts of the swamp where it's less acidic. Don looks for strong branches from bushes that can be crafted into tools/items, usually using his hair as extra storage space. Collectively, they both also like to pretend that the branches in their hair are their 'horns', attempting to resemble their father. - The twins have paw-like nubs that make it easier to grip, and actual paw-pads on their feet. It's uncertain if they'll ever develop claws. - Acrid takes great care as to not burn the children with his acid. He is more than aware of the damage it can do, as it is his main way of attacking; he's seen what it's done to his victims as well as himself given his own eyes have mostly eroded away over the years from careless fighting behaviors of his youth. Thankfully, living in such an acidic environment for so long (regarding the swamp itself), the kids have developed a strong resistance to corrosive materials as a whole and are generally fine around their father regardless.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Takashi is pretty unaffectionate. Not because he doesn’t want to show affection, he just doesn’t know how to do it without completely smothering you. 

Because of this, he is a little awkward with it. Sometimes he will just grab you and force you to hug him. 

You know that one scene in Harry Potter with Voldermort and Draco Malfoy? Yeah, that’s him. He’s Voldermort.

He just wants to grab you and squeeze the life out of you or crush your to death while lying in bed together.

He's a normal guy... He promises.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Takashi would be a great best friend, or friend in general. Super friendly and open to chatting with anyone, but won't be the one to start the conversation. It's good for him to be like this, if murderers feel like they can trust you, then they'll talk to you, so really useful for a detective like himself.

He’s a quiet guy, so he’s a good listener and willing to give advice as and when you need it/ask for it. 

He normally begins friendships through work. Sometimes at pubs when he’s just finished work and wants to unwind with a drink. He ends up telling horror stories from the cases he solved, going into unnecessary detail but most of the drunks who he’s friends with assume he’s just joking or pulling their leg.

And he’ll just sit there with a blank smile on his face as the others around him begin to sing and chant along to whatever sport is on the pub TV.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Expanding on A, he likes to lie on the sofa and be crushed with somebody's body weight. Sometimes the stress of his job just gets to be too much and he needs to have someone to ‘squash it out of him’ so to say. 

He’s got some muscles, so his arms are bulky and safe. Takashi isn’t really used to receiving hugs, from anyone really. So although he doesn’t exactly know what he’s doing, he deeply values any kind of physical contact he can get from his s/o, so cuddling for him is an instant green flag.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Takashi is an expert at keeping things clean. If you walked into his home, you would assume you were staying at an airbnb or stepping into a rented house with placeholder furniture. 

His dream is to settle down with someone; the very idea of keeping the streets clean of crime and coming home to a warm meal on the table is absolute Heaven to him. Kids are not entirely off the table, but he would want a few years where he and his s/o had some time to themselves. 

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

I don’t think this would happen. Takashi is pretty picky and clear-headed when it comes to being in a relationship with someone, and if he has any doubt in his mind about being with someone, he just wouldn’t pursue a relationship. 

But, if he had to break up with someone, he would resolve to murder. In his mind, he’s done everything for his partner and now that he has no feelings for them anymore, he would feel disgusted that he let someone so close to him and see murder as the only option for ‘ending it.’

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Takashi doesn’t like to rush things. He’s a romantic, so give him a year, maybe six months if you are under threat (others flirting with you and don’t get the hint from Takashi that you’re taken.)

He’s in it for the long haul, so commitment wouldn’t be an issue.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

INCREDIBLY. Gentle forms of affection, brushing your hair out of your face, tucking it behind your ear, holding hands and forehead kisses are his jam.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Expanding on A (PT 2), He likes giving hugs, the feeling of your body pressed against his makes butterflies flutter in his stomach. If you are the one to initiate the hug, you can catch him afterwards in the next room squealing and jogging on the spot like a schoolgirl: “they hugged me!” 

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He would only ever say it in a state of delirium but otherwise, he prefers to show that he loves you. Tired from work? A bath has been prepared, fresh bed sheets and a new set of pjs.

Sad because of external circumstances? He’s there to listen and cuddle you to the best of his ability. Or, go and deal with the problem himself. Don’t worry about the stain on his collar, it looks like blood, but is actually ketchup from a burger he ate earlier (He hates burgers)

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Super jealous. But, he won’t instantly jump on anyone who has made them jealous. Uses the classic ‘three strikes and then you’re out.’ After whatever has made him jealous still hasn’t gotten the hint then he may have to use… more drastic methods.

This excludes inanimate objects and animals, as they don’t know/can’t know any better. 

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Soft kisses! Forehead, nose, cheeks, back of your hand, he’s not picky. But if you have a preference, he’ll favour those places. Lip kisses aren’t off the table either, but Takashi views them as really intimate and as something not to be shared by the public.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He’s really good with kids. Takashi doesn’t like or dislike them per say, but he makes an effort to make sure that they’re safe and happy. Even if he doesn’t know them well, he would still put himself between them and any sign of danger, even if there’s an abusive parent around.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Calm and quiet most of the time. When you wake up, he would have usually been up an hour before, watching you sleep, your chest rising and falling, before getting up and doing some household chores or making breakfast so that you don’t feel stressed out in the morning.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Again, calm and quiet. Watching films in bed on TV or reading. Sometimes he reads to you, it’s soothing for him and makes him feel at ease knowing that you’re listening to him so intently.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

You will never hear anything about Takashi’s past. It has nothing to do with the present, why do you need to know? Are you a member of the PSIA? (Japan's equivalent to the FBI) Why the hell are you prying into his privacy? Can’t you just be happy with the fact that he loves you here and now?

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

It depends on what it is. If something goes wrong with work, he’s not likely to get too irritated about it. But when it comes to you, this man has a temper that makes Gods tremble, Angels shy away and demons squawk and run in fear. If for some reason, someone took you away/you vanished, he would tear the world apart to find you, he would kill politicians, burn rainforests and force the oceans to dry up with his fury. This would only be quelled by your safe, unharmed return.

But Hell awaits for those who dared to even think about taking you away.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Takashi has a notebook full of all these things. He has to use his mind for work and for both of your sakes, he can’t keep all that information stored up there with all that bloody work. You are his pure angel, your image can’t be tainted with such disgusting and vile acts.

The notebook itself has pictures of things you like, video games, favourite food, colour and smells. It’s nice to have with him, when he misses you, he can just pull out the notebook and read it, look at pictures of you and smile dreamily. 

R = Remember (What is their favourite moment in your relationship?)

When he realised that he had you all to himself. His heart swelled, stomach did backflips and nearly started hyperventilating with how happy he was. A close second would be Christmas with you, where you both built a snowman and watched a childhood favourite film of yours.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

If he could do it without being found out/having any suspicion around your disappearance, he would sneak you back to Japan to live in his childhood home. Takashi feels like he could relive a whole life with you and that, to him, would be the perfect life. 

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He would do everything he could. Takashi doesn’t fumble with these things, he will put his whole (figurative) pussy into dates and presents. If he realises that your anniversary is coming up, he would watch you carefully for anything that you may say or do. He might also take into account the time you’ve been together and buy a piece of jewellery or a ring for a proposal. 

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He keeps a lot of secrets and lies pretty frequently. Oh and he likes to talk about the screwed up things people have done to the bodies in his murder investigations, even if they are pedestrian by his standards. He’s not trying to scare you, (he is) he just wants you to be careful when you’re out on your own (not that you should be anyway.)

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He puts a little effort in. He doesn’t see the scar on his face as a flaw, but more like a reminder of why he’s doing this. If he notices it fading, he’ll touch it up with makeup and when you’re asleep or out of the house, he’ll make the cut again, getting it as exact as possible. 

He is not the same as the one who gave him this scar. And he will not forget it. 

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

His whole world revolves around you. He would be sad and alone without you. If for some reason, you died, he wouldn’t leave your grave for one moment and succumb to the elements.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon (fact) for them.)

Takashi has a younger brother! (You'll meet him soon too!)

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Doing any kind of self-defence martial art, he thinks it's on the same level as the murderers he chases down. Why do you need to know how to defend yourself? You’ve got him! He’s all the security you’d need.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He snores very softly. Someone broke his nose when he was a kid and it didn’t heal properly so he snores now lol.

Hey! I want to start jrwi, but idk where to begin. Any advice?

:D !!! oh the IMMENSE joy i felt receiving this ask !! i am about to ramble a little a lot - if anything does not make sense then feel free to ask more questions :))

the main campaign of just roll with it is riptide, a pirate campaign dmed by grizzly set in the world of mana, where the planet is nearly all water save for some scattered islands. the characters are gillion tidestrider, a triton paladin/sorcerer played by charlie slimecicle, chip, a human rogue played by bizly and jay ferin, a human ranger played by condifiction. there's a playlist with all the episodes on so it's pretty simple :)

i have found that my irl friends who have never watched dnd podcasts before have struggled to get past the first arc, around the ep11-14 mark, but i see from a peek at your bio that you're a critical role fan so you'll probably have no issue :) the earlier episodes are slower to start but they're still great! the quality does improve a lot as time goes, naturally.

there's also two prequel episodes for riptide which you don't need to watch, but they're worth noting if you want to go back to them after you catch up like i did, or you could watch them before if you want a bit of extra lore context.

that's probably all the information you need to get started, but i am going to give you some more information about the patreon campaigns as well - you don't have to pay attention to all this if you want to just keep it simple! i just feel like giving a full beginner's guide for no reason lmao

for all three of the campaigns i'm about to talk about, it is $5 a month - obviously not asking you to just jump right in and give them money but i do very highly recommend it if you find you enjoy this podcast!! it's a fairly low cost for a lot of great quality content.

prime defenders is the main patreon campaign, and it's a mutants and masterminds superhero campaign dmed by bizly. the characters are teenaged boys with superpowers, enlisted to help defend the world of prime. charlie plays william wisp, who has ghost powers, grizzly plays dakota cole, who has super strength and does martial arts, and condi plays vyncent sol, who's from another world and has people living inside his brain? i don't really know how to explain that one uhhh the first five episodes are available for free - won't link each because it'll clog up the post but here's the first one. decent place to start if you're considering getting the patreon, although similarly to riptide the beginning episodes are a little slower as they start around the same time.

this one i'd personally recommend watching after you finish the other campaigns, simply because it's the longest of the patreon campaigns, but it is very great! <33 it also has two prequel episodes which are for free - similarly not required watching but good fun nonetheless!

apotheosis is a fifteen episode-long mini-campaign where the players go around and kill all the gods, dmed by condi. peter sqloint is a human possessed by an archangel played by charlie, rumi is a changeling bard/warlock who is chasing visions played by grizzly and thanatos is a very intense and murderous war forged played by bizly. first episode is available for free, and it is essentially the compiled session zeroes of their individual characters.

this campaign is, in my personal opinion, the best place to start for patreon because of the shorter length and how easy and quick it is to get into. if this was not a patreon campaign i would recommend this as the best place to start jrwi, honestly, because the shorter length means everything's more packed in and faster-paced and it helps you get into the swing of things and get the satisfaction of watching through all of it, while also showcasing the potential of the episodes to come later in the longer campaigns.

blood in the bayou is a four episode-long call of cthulhu campaign set in galloway, louisiana in the 1980s, dmed by charlie, where three old friends reunite and discover their hometown's local horrors. kian stone, a big city rockstar, is played grizzly, timothy rand, a stoner still living with his parents, is played by bizly, and rolan deep, a lawyer, is played by condi. it is audio-only and has higher quality sound design and an original soundtrack. pretty different for the other campaigns but so well-made. good place to start with patreon as well! the first episode is available for free too <3

Out of the three of them, Yazoo is by far the hardest to read in terms of things he likes… so if your trying to surprise him with wearing something special other than just lingerie, your best bet is to just ask him. (Just a heads-up, he’s 100% going to be cocky about it though)

But regardless, from that day forward, anytime you wear one of those pieces, he’ll literally drag you away from whatever your doing because it just turns him on so much to see you dressed like that.

Do NOT let this man catch you in any leather harness type accessories.

“Really, a harness kink?” I know, cliche and a little on the nose for him, but he 100% has a domination/authoritarian kink, and loves using props.

He of course, being the authoritative one in the relationship. (Doesn’t he’s not above letting you take the lead every now and then but, he mainly likes to hold that role)

Unlike Yazoo where it was more so an accident that you discovered his favorite piece on you, Kadaj is up-front.

“A choker would look nice with that outfit.” He casually says as you enter you guys bedroom wearing nothing but a t-shirt and underwear/shorts.💀

When you do finally decide to buy a few, at first it seems like he doesn’t really mind nor care, but mentally he’s going feral.

He wants nothing more than to slip his fingers underneath the band that’s holding it around your neck, and tug you towards him…

Ultimately he waits though. (Fighting mental demons not to act up throughout the day around you or his brothers because he knows he’ll never hear the end of it 🤡)

Waits until the very end of the day when your slightly annoyed with his lack of reaction, and getting ready to undress for bed to tell you not to take it off… the choker specifically.

And from that day forward, the dynamic is born.

Eventually, he grows tired of the cute little dainty ones you have and starts looking into the good ones that he can attach a collar to, and tug on when he either wants to pull you in for a kiss, or choke you a bit with it, while he’s fucking you.

The smug asshole definitely gifts it to you on either your birthday or holiday (I don’t know what the ff7 equivalent to Christmas is, but I’m pretty sure its canon that they celebrate it 💀)

Pretty soon though, he too grows tired of you wearing those just by themselves, and decides to venture deeper online when looking for things he likes on you and that’s when he finds it: the harness.

While the harness was supposed to be mainly for bedroom moments, you probably decided to take it a step further and buy ones that you can wear outside of your clothing.

And when you do, this definitely activates that authoritative kink that’s been festering in him for the longest time (as if it wasn’t already activated the day you decided to buy chokers, but it’s on a different level now)

The first time you wore one over your clothes and out, he was shocked. Some much so, that Yazoo definitely connected the dots in that instant (as if it hadn’t already been obvious due to your sudden interest in wearing chokers) and he smirks, and teases Kadaj at every chance he gets, much to his dismay

You were really in for now.

(I tried looking for both some really cool ones, but also some “casual” wear looking ones. Personally, I don’t like spikes which is why I didn’t add any pictures with any, but Kadaj definitely doesn’t discriminate so take that how you like it 💀)

Loz:

Loz doesn't have a preference when it comes to specific things you wear... like literally, he could care less. (Also I had to use that image for him because he looks hot there and every time I search Loz I get legend of Zelda 🫠 I love LoZ though so don’t think I’m hating)

Like the most he’s ever commented on your appearance was probably to tease you and say you look cute if/when you decided to wear heels or platformed shoes and even then, that was because you’re possibly shorter than him by a few inche (Yazoo allegedly is the tallest of the three, and canonically Sephiroth is stated to be 6’0 but Sephiroth in the remake was taller than Barrett who’s 6’5 sooo take that as you will, but I head-cannon Loz is maybe 6’0-6’2 ish?)

But regardless that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care for your appearance. If your shirt, pants, dress, etc, look I’ll fitting to him, he’ll comment on it but would never outright tell you to change.

Because the truth was, if it weren’t for his brothers, he’d willingly walk around looking as hot mess.

Like he doesn’t care at all how he dresses outside of his usual leather outfit. As long as he’s comfortable and can move and sleep in what he’s wearing, he’s good.

The only time he gets turned on by any article of clothing you wear, is if there’s a promise that he can rip it.

Again, this is something that was definitely accidentally discovered…

You two were having a heavy make-out session, and he was trying to remove your top, just as you were trying to remove his, (which made the job a little difficult to do) and the next thing you know, you hear the loud noise of something being ripped.

Deadass stops and his tracks and pulls back to stare at you with this “I fucked up didn’t I?” Expression 💀

Thankfully it had been a top you hadn’t cared for so much, because you only moved closure, continuing the kiss as he sat there wide eyed still before melting back into it.

Once you two finish up, and are lying down panting, he’ll shyly admit he liked the way it felt ripping the shirt even if it had been an honest mistake.

It was honestly a shock to both you and him. (Because out of the three men, Loz was by far the most Vanilla. Kadaj and Yazoo are on straight demon time when they get horny and no one can convince me otherwise 😈)

Regardless it’s definitely a new ritual between you two.

Days your not doing much and your in the mood, you wear your cheaper clothes.

Clothes you let him pick out when you go out shopping either online or in public.

The first time you asked him to pick out something, he picked out a simple blue t-shirt and was like, “falls coming soon so you can wear that with a sweater.” 💀

You had to whisper in his ear that you meant you wanted him to pick out something he’d want to tear off of you.

Immediately, his ears turned red but, a smirk finds his ways on his face and suddenly he’s like a kid at the candy store.

But in all honesty, that’s probably the roughest he is with you (unless you two have talked about how you’d like to go about things before. Again, he’s totally more soft and vanilla when it comes to sexual things due to how sensitive he naturally is 😭 he’d feel like sloppy seconds if he just used you and rolled over)

If his brothers ever got wind that he was into this, he’d literally take you and move to Icicle Village and never talk to them again because of how relentless their teasing would be, so please don’t tell them 😭

Every now and then, you might buy something really nice and fancy for him too on you as he’s fucking you, and he gets so giddy about it.

However, unlike his brothers, this kink is a once a month, (maybe twice if he’s really in the mood) type of ordeal.

He knows you need clothes, and as much as it makes him hard thinking about ruining some of your favorite pieces on you, he isn’t an ass. (Plus the economy after advent children took place probably was fucked, so he’d definitely refrain from doing it all the time)

If you were to ever show interest in wanting to rip off something on him he gets so excited (but tries to keep it low key like Kadaj, only he’s failing miserably to hide his shit eating grin throughout the day)

New Year's Resolutions: RP Edition

Howdy all, Ash here. I've been having a think while with family this week, and I've decided I'm going to implement some new 'resolutions' to try and help make writing in 2024 be way more successful than in 2023. This will include things from the running of blogs to jobs I really want to get finished. I'm putting them under a read-more to keep the dash nice and clean.

I will say, this has taken me an hour to write up, and I'd recommend you doing likewise if you think there's little ways you want to improve.

Overall Running of Blogs

I'm going to experiment a new approach to running the blogs. For this, I'm going to put all active blogs to low-medium activity. In other words, even if I am personally lurking on mobile, I won't be constantly writing things if I'm not able to. (Work is just about to get super busy and I'm anticipating chaos)

A queue/schedule function will be used for all blogs. I intend to dedicate one weekday evening to working without interruption on replies. Taking commutes to the city and family visits into account, this is looking to be a Thursday, which is the only day I am neither travelling to the city nor have a guaranteed family visit. Of course, this may fluctuate, but that's what I'm hoping to work with, assuming those things stay as they are.

However! What all this means is that I am going to tentatively take skullandbowties off hiatus. With that blog being quiet, it should be possible to juggle it better now. Plus, it's officially off-season so the demand for him from new blogs ought to be low. I'm very smart :D

I also plan to update all pinned posts. I am aware some of them are marking a vacation from months ago.

Individual Blog Maintenance

Create "New Here?" posts to add to the pinned posts/info tags. This is going to be a very quick crash course on what to expect from the blog, especially where some characters might diverge from fanon expectations.

FINISH. WILF'S. BIO. It's not actually relevant to anything being written on the blog itself at present, but I really want to flesh out his character and show that he was stuck in stories for years, decades even! The doc has the word count to 4,888 at this precise moment. This is a mix of summary and brainstorm. Since it's getting a 'little' out of hand, I intend to have a 'tldr' at the start that people can read, and then longer versions if they're curious to get the full story. Maybe even have it that they can jump to particular parts but... I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Likewise, Noah's version of Space needs to be finished. This one is going to be a summary, but it's a case of making sure the pieces are in place sufficiently to have parts match canon Space, but also make it clear that there is a lot of differences between canon and what he went through, with his plot entirely spiralling away for 'Part 2'. This is at 5,794 words, and the ending has yet to be ironed out...

(I am going to stop creating needlessly long-winded projects for myself that realistically add nothing of value to my blogs. These two projects are exhausting...)

Theauthorlives is returning to a very small multimuse. Any muses that aren't ones I genuinely enjoy writing are being fully archived, unless they are muses that get no traction but I want to keep the possibility open. Details of that will be shared when I do this.

Redo some muse icons (not all of them!). Though the selection I have for particular sets is a lot, I still feel like I'm missing some expressions or poses. I would like to remake one batch of icons for three characters, and finish iconning a third. Replies seem to be shifting toward iconless, but I like them for asks or IC commentaries.

OOC/Mun Related stuff

Following matters that have happened both online and IRL, I've decided to take a step back from actively engaging with people. My focus will be people that I have been in good communication with for the last twelve months (as well as people I don't talk to frequently but am on friendly terms with) rather than people I feel I have to 'chase' after. Saying that, I'm going to try and not let past experiences meddle with anything in with new writing partners - whether these are brand new to the community or people I've not had the chance to properly interact with prior to this. Just be aware that I might not be super outgoing at first. (This is where setting limits and boundaries is good practice, everyone! Don't sell yourself short, and don't spread yourself out too thinly!)

Which is where I now say I want to send even more asks! Not just memes or sentence starters, but general questions about headcanons or muse opinions. I want to get people thinking more.

My stance on Discord still stands, in that it's solely for OOC stuff, but I'm not giving it out to everyone. However, I have been in two group servers that have little-to-no connection with writing rp threads in them. I would hope that I can fully regain my sense of comfort using Discord as a whole.

Art related

Despite socially stepping back, I still want to keep some semblance of 'community' where my blogs are active so people don't feel isolated. For instance, I want to do something that encourages invasions of ask boxes. That was good fun to watch as the chaos began to spread, and when people are good-humoured to go along with my silly ideas.

I want to have one huge art-related event at some point this year. I'm not entirely what or how to do it, but I think it would be a great excuse to practice something. Portraits, comics, something like that. I'll have a think. (For those who remember, the water gun event was supposed to have an art conclusion but plans for that fell through.)

I want to try and upload drawn responses to heythereneighbor once a week if I can. Obviously, this is depending on how busy it is.

I'd also like to try doodling more on other blogs? But I'm not sure if this is even something people want to see anymore. People might prefer I focus on writing if I have free time instead of doodles or little comics.

... the writing blog. I need to do stuff with that in general. Whoops.

Finally, I want to do what I can to the best of my abilities on a particular day. I've always told people over the years that real life comes before rp, and I still stand by that. Whether I'm around or not every day isn't the end of the world. The communities I write in are a lot slower paced than they were when I started, which is great! I need to remind myself that I don't need to be writing just because I have a bit of free time.

My most favorite twins ever!!! Lark and Sparrow

I know a lot of people think they have long hair, to me, they both keep it very short now bc when Lark was like sixteen, a doodlerized something grabbed it and it messed with his paranoia, he and Sparrow shaved it together in the bathroom at like 3am, then Sparrow sat for his turn without a word, and now they always keep it matching like this

Lark and Sparrow have matching friendship bracelets that Sparrow made one year, Lark’s is green and Sparrow’s is red

The Oak Household used a talking stick for a long time, then Lark got mad one night and snapped it over his knee. He felt bad about it later, and the next morning it was found carefully glued back together

I don’t know if Lark has a day job, but if he does, nobody knows what it is, the other kiddads assume it’s something questionably legal, weapon sales probably, Lark always pays his portion of household bills and Sparrow isn’t sure he wants to know. The truth is, it’s a perfectly normal job, he’s a Geek Squad guy at Best Buy. Lark finds comfort in being able to sit in the back fixing things, he hates talking to customers. So. Much.

Sparrow is a cavetown fan, Lark secretly really likes beachy music like margaritaville but would die if anybody but Sparrow found out

Lark’s favorite fruit is lemons, Sparrow’s is strawberries. Lark can’t handle sweet flavors, he prefers sour, while Sparrow is the opposite.

Nick’s turn!!!!

So! During the Nick/Narc fusion, the magic couldn’t remove Glenn without unmaking Nick entirely, so it just added in Jodie. If you tested Nick’s DNA, which Glenn and Jodie did during an argument once bc they’re goofs, it would come back that Glenn and Jodie are both his bio dads, Morgan his bio mom. Because magic doesn’t give a shit about what our science says is impossible.

Nick has a Thing about vehicle safety, he doesn’t care if it’s an emergency or if it’s a five minute drive, everyone is putting on their goddamn seatbelts if he has to climb over and buckle them in himself. He also won’t drive in the rain.

Nick, in his Glenn memories, tried to dye a red streak in his hair and ended up a weird shade of orange bc he didn’t calculate for hair type. He wore a beanie for weeks until Glenn came home. After he finished laughing, Glenn had to help him fix it.

Demons burn so hot that Nick always feels a little chilly, even in the california heat. He’ll be wearing a jacket on an 85° day and people look at him weird, but the planet is so cold compared to Hell.

Nick’s favorite pizza is called “Everything Pizza”, it was something he’d make when he was struggling in the Glenn memories because it was easy. Everything Pizza changes every time you eat it, it also lead to Nick inventing what he calls “the Pizzarito” which is Everything Pizza folded up like a burrito. The other kiddads tell him it’s just a calzone, Nick hates calzones and insists it’s different. Pizzaritos have been banned from DADDIES HQ because somehow that argument always gets started.

Demons need a lot of both sugar and meat in their diets, and Nick now has an insane sweet tooth that would make most people lose their teeth

Oh! and! One of the things Nick struggles with post Nick/Narc fusion outside of the identity crises is how the demonic side of him has changed his body. Half of him feels like the sharp a few too many teeth and slightly pointed ears are features he’s had his entire life, and the other is kind of freaked out by how very Not Human he suddenly looks

Nick’s least favorite vegetable is asparagus, this is a trait he shares with Glenn. They both make the same face about it, wrinkled nose, tongue out

Terry Jr!!!!

I love Terry so much, I have a bunch for him!!! :’D

Terry is considered the de-facto leader of DADDIES, he is the only one levelheaded enough for the job I think. It’s not an official position, but he is pulling double duty as their leader and their tactician

This man lives on coffee, he is a 6 cups a day kind of guy. He started drinking it as a way to remember Terry Sr, who really loved coffee. He both loves the different kinds, as well as cannot function without it.

Whenever Terry has reached his limit he threatens to buy a boat and go live in the middle of the ocean where none of this is his problem and he will never have to see any of these people again. ((He has never gone through with this threat, it’s kind of his escape fantasy))

Terry and Grant have a minor long-standing feud about a drawer in HQ, it is Terry’s, it is a mess, it is organized in a system that only makes sense to Terry, there are so many sticky notes involved, it drives Grant’s OCD crazy, he wants to pick the lock on the drawer and reorganize it. Terry does not want it organized. Sparrow has enchanted the lock so Grant cannot pick it, keeping them locked in a stalemate.

Terry’s favorite food is blueberries, he can exclusively cook pasta dishes

Every so often, Terry has what I call a “Cones Of Dunshire” level breakdown where be throws himself into a deeply over complicated project like designing and building a board game

Terry and Lark have kissed exactly once, in a really weird game of chicken like that scene in friends where Phoebe and Chandler kiss. Terry is Phoebe, Lark is Chandler, Nick is Monica, Sparrow is either Joey or Ross, and Grant is Rachel in the scene, this is one of my favorite silly ones afsgshsjsjs

Grant and Terry dated in high school, it was a right person wrong time situation, and Grant has two soulmates: Terry and Marco

Grant developed OCD after the chimera incident, he likes to keep things clean and orderly because he can’t forget the feeling of the blood in his hair

Grant and Lark have semi-colon tattoos for each other, they’re bad for each other and tend to spiral down together, but they respect the battles. each other fights with mental illness, they claim to have a “warrior’s bond”

I got tagged in a WIP Wednesday by @dreamwatch ! I've never actually been tagged in one of these before, I was actually so excited to share that I ran around the house finishing up chores so I wouldn't feel bad if i just focussed on this :P

Anyhow! This is the beginning of what is currently titled Untitled Action Fic, which, yes, very creative, and it is part of my Sarge Series on ao3 :)

Jim Hopper had about four and a half minutes left on the clock. He was sitting in his car, head back against the headrest, eyes closed. His hat was on the seat beside him. There was no use getting anything started, as anything he could do would take longer than he was willing to stay. It was movie night, a tradition that Joyce, and now El, took very seriously. It was Will’s turn to pick the movie, but knowing Will, that really meant it was El’s turn to pick the movie. She was exploring her genres lately, so he had no idea what he expected to go home to.  His radio crackled to life. “Hey, Chief, you there?” Came Callahan’s voice. He groaned and cracked an eye open. Three minutes and forty seconds left.  “Whaddaya want?” “Got a weird call from the Leary family, up in Loch Nora.” Fuck. After his year undercover, Jim had instructed the station to make sure any “weird” calls weren’t dismissed, and that they go directly to him. The team had looked at him strangely when he had said it, but the government officials that had stood behind him intimidatingly had convinced them not to argue. Thus far, it really just meant that he had investigated a “monster” which had turned out to be a cat with a missing eye, and a “gate to the hell dimension” -- that one had sent his heart racing -- which had ended up being Jonathan’s friend, who had definitely taken too much of something.  He probably should’ve arrested the kid for possession, but he couldn’t not look the other way when he knew how much he had done for El. He had dropped him off at home instead, and made sure someone was there to take care of him before he had left.  “Yeah, what kind of weird?” He grumbled into his walkie.  “She says her neighbour’s house fell apart. Says that half of it fell into the pool.” Into the -- ?!  “Gimme the address.”  ~ The house looked like something had taken a giant bite out of it. Planks of plywood were hanging off of the torn edges, and shattered glass was tumbling down the sides of it. Jim could even see into one of the surviving rooms; a large bed dangled off the edge of the torn floorboards dangerously, threatening to fall into the pool. The pool that was now a pulsing, wet membrane. It looked like it was breathing. The concrete surrounding the pool disappeared and reappeared as the gate to the Upside Down threatened to stretch further. He called for backup immediately, and made his way around the neighbouring houses, ordering them to evacuate.  It was on his way back to check on the gate that he realized with horror that he recognized the BMW parked in the driveway.

"Once upon a Time in lands of the old faith there lived two lamb lovers named Joesph & MaryAnn Steelwool whom were already happily married as a young couple with them being possibly the last lambs alive during the lamb genocide ordered by the bishops.

Joseph and Mary both were horrified at the sight of their home of DarkWood(Originally Lambert's Birthplace) being destroyed in ruins with many huts burned by torches to the many families of lambs being killed and massacred in horrendous & tragic ways with Joseph and his wife escaping tremendously until.. the most hated bishop being Shamura asking his minions to kill the two lambs with mary leaving their twin babies Lambert & Angelique as orphans left on Ratau's doorstep as their new guardian with their parents being killed and taken into silk cradle by shamura & his sibs to be kept as prizes to their completed massacre.

so now 1000 yrs later in present day Lambert & his Older Sister both have thrived in their own cults with Lambert still missing their deceased parents and honoring them in memory with Angelique doing the same.

and that's the whole story of their Parents and their tragic deaths.. and i bet your noticing a pattern with Shamura here and his "Wrath Tendencies of Killing Species with Both Lambert's own Kind and his Currently Beloved Wife Samantha Bloodsucker's own kind being extinct aswell. so the next chapter for them both Avenging their Species by Reproducing New Life for them both with Samantha agreeing to help her Husband's sadness and grief while Lady D's Species of Axolotls and M3gan's Species of Nightwolves are still existing(but their own Biological Families have been deceased for years)

and that's all i'll post for now with Lambert's Parents which this Fanart is the Last Time i'll draw them and will continue to draw the Backstories of The 6 Spouses(Sammi, Lady D, M3gan, Lucos, Ruri, Toots & Giselle) aka The Spouse Squad very soon with Samantha's being a Whole Webcomic for her and her rival Shamura(being a Betrayed Father Figure type storyline) to the rest being different genres with different topics on how and why they ended up despising the 4 bishops in order : for Sammi (it's a Cozy but Dark Domestic Abuse Storyline) for Lady Dimmi(it's a Noir but Mysterious Love Story) for M3gan(it's a Thriller/Horror Sstoryline) for Lucos(It's a Humorous but Unlikeable Storyline) for Ruri(It's a Fantasy Storyline) for Toots(it's a Musical Storyline) and finally for Giselle(It's a Fairytale Self Discovery Storyline) so as you see all 6 spouses related to marrying Lambert(minus Narinder, The Bishops since it's explainable already in-game aka Our Choices) will include their own Genre like a Movie, Book, Series or even Video Game as their Backstory(ies)

Just wanted to update my blog since on DA i'm taking a break for now until maybe Nov-Dec since i won't be so busy during the holiday seasons or maybe i will who knows.. also about The Spouse Squad Webcomics and when they'll be coming well it'll be pretty soon since Samantha's is First!(hence her being the oldest spouse in game for me!) and since i found a bunch of nice bases to use which the very first part will be released on Oct 4th to be exact!

get ready for this to read like a crappy tinder bio ahshdgd. i’m definitely an extrovert, with my personality type thing being enfp! although, i used to be /painfully/ shy so i feel for people who hate social situations. apparently i come off as flirty? i think i’ve just got an offbeat sense of humour— courtesy of growing up in scotland— and i tend to just show a lot of affection to anyone, even if it’s simply platonic. 

interests ?!

i love to make things, like writing and illustration (which is what i’m working on a degree for)! i’m currently working part time at a florist store though haha, i got my certification in high school instead of studying for math. i try to embrace the small things and leave crappy little post-it poems and silly doodles at my friends’ places. my main attitude towards what i do is very punk? if that makes sense? apart from the fact that i love punk and heavier music (xray spex, death, pinkshift, big joanie, etc.), i’m a big believer in being relentlessly loving of yourself and others- self love and supporting your friends is the ultimate rebellion!! :D.

i’m on the taller side, about 5’11. damn my genes for perpetuating scottish stereotypes, but i’ve got green eyes, freckles, and a propensity to sunburn. i’ve got black hair with sections of it dyed really light blonde (this has reminded me to go fix my roots later whoops), and it’s a sort of veronica sawyer type bob? my hair is really thick so i’m struggling in the summer heat lmao.

How you met: Civilian Working in a florist shop in a busy part of the UK meant you had a good flow of customers. From old grandmas to boyfriends making up for forgotten anniversaries, you've seen it all. You were finishing up on a large bridal order when a young man walked in. He made sure to shake off his umbrella before entering. "It's pitchin it douwn 'ard out 'ere" he said as he approached the counter and you could see it was monsooning outside. Before he could translate, you replied to his exclamation. "A fellow Scot!" you said enthusiastically and his face beamed. "I'd recognize that accent anywhere," he responded and you soon fell into a conversation about growing up in the Scottish countryside and missing home in the rainy London climate. "So what are you here for?" you laughed as you set your elbows on the counter. "A houseplant, bonnie," he responded, "thought this was the right place." "Well Johnny, I have a fair share of options, but I think," you began to say as you walked around the counter and towards your collection of houseplants. You finally found the perfect one, a medium sized fiddle-leaf fig plant. "I think this wee lad is your new best friend," you smiled and handed him the potted plant. "How much do I owe ye?" he asked before you shook your head. "It's on the house, pleasure to make you a new plant owner," you replied. He smiled widely before exiting into the pouring rain. "Hope to see you again!" he waved and you hoped he kept his promise.

A peek into your relationship: "I don't think I'm doing this correctly," Johnny said as you felt the cold hair dye coat your scalp. "You're doing a better job than I could, babe," you joked underneath the pile of your hair. Having a boyfriend meant you didn't have to struggle bleaching and dying pieces of your hair when it needed a touchup. You couldn't even imagine how you used to do this. "You should just cut if off," he joked and you pretended to be shocked. "And have an ugly mohawk? I would never," you responded and you could hear him chuckle behind you. "Careful now, I might just dye your neck," he countered and you knew his threat was an empty one. "I'll kill your darling houseplant if you do, Mactavish, don't push me," you replied and that shut him up. After a few more minutes, he finally finished applying the dye to your bleached roots. You lifted your head to see his smiling face, hands coated with the bleach and his ratty shirt adorned with plenty of stains. "Thank you," you smiled happily and kissed his stubbled cheek. His ears tinged pink at your actions. "Now just have to wash this off in the shower," you said as you walked over to the bathroom. "Can I join?" he enthusiastically asked as your laughter filled your flat and he followed you like a puppy.

-My Jackbox Interprets and Their Designs-

-I love drawing out my version of the Jackbox and YDKJ hosts. I have fun drawing them and trying my best to come up with a somewhat fitting design for each host who doesn’t have a confirmed design

-When it comes to older designs, a few of the hosts have went through some design changes, however, I didn’t show most of them.

-The only two that are on here, on Tumblr is one of Redacted’s older designs and Master Mentalist’s old design. I’m gonna write out what I have changed about my favorite Jackbox hosts and also why I made some decisions on what I did for their designs because yes and also I’m bored

-His hair used to be a lot messier but I changed it a bit because I wasn’t happy with it

-His shirt as well was changed from the letters for You Don’t Know Jack (YDKJ) to a question mark. Why? I thought it would look kinda weird to add that to a shirt instead of the logo and I feel like the logo with my handwriting would look too inconsistent so I opted for a question mark

-I made his eyes spring green because it really makes his face pop out amongst the neutral colors he has. Also I just thought green eyes would look nice on him

-He originally had short black hair and his ahoge/cowlick was a single squiggly line. His eyes also used to be green and purple.

-I changed that because I didn’t really like the design so I changed him to have long dark brown hair and blue eyes to match his outfit

-He has glasses because I noticed in The Ride’s end scene that the person playing him (Phil) has glasses and so I put it into the design. Plus the glasses fit Schmitty

-He went through the most design changes. His hair was always brown but his eye color wasn’t always cyan and yellow. It was originally going to be red and green.

-His mask was also going to have a smile on it but I thought it looked weird

-His older design that I have shared here depicts him in a grim reaper-like outfit and messy short brown hair. I didn’t really like he design much so I changed it

-I thought it would be cool to give him heterochromia and so, I did, cyan and yellow eyes :D

(Master Mentalist)

-He may be the newest one out of them but I already changed his design a little bit.

-His hair is not as messy anymore. His cowlick (under his hat) now curls in a little and is also black and white (oooh, hypnosis spiral much). His tie is replaced with a bow tie. The lines under his eyes are bigger now. Crazy eyes are optional for him now and are meant to mimic hypno spirals

-I’ll be dropping my new design for him in about an hour or two along with some extra things

-

That’s about it for now, I’ll probably do this again with four more hosts and then another time with four other hosts. I just chose my 4 favorites (yes, Master Mentalist is already a favorite of mine and it’s only been like 3 days or something)

-Ooh, I’m also working on my Jackbox OC bios and character headcanons so Imma post those when I finally finish them (though headcanons will be in multiple posts and bios will be in a post each for each character so it isn’t an absolute cluster)

Something I’m a bit insecure about when it comes to Team DMNO is that their main inspirations are anime characters and not like fairy tale characters or heroes/deities from mythology. I shouldn’t be worried about this sort of thing, considering that Team FNKI are all based on memes. However, I still can’t help but worry about the inspirations behind my OCS.

The main inspirations behind each member of DMNO are characters from One Piece.

Douglas is mainly inspired by Monkey D. Luffy in terms of personality, as well as Portgas D. Ace in terms of personality & some aspects of his appearance.

Melanie has Sanji as her main inspiration, specifically in terms of fighting style & some aspects of their personality.

Norbert has Coby as their main inspiration, specifically in terms of some aspects of personality & appearance. There’s also Usopp as another inspiration, only in terms of being a sharpshooter/sniper.

Olwen’s biggest inspiration is Roronoa Zoro, primarily in terms of fighting style as both practice Three Sword Style. The Remnant equivalent I’m calling Three Blade Style and I’m currently working on the lore behind it. Olwen never invented Three Blade Style, however she creates her own techniques using said fighting style. A lot of her outfits are also inspired by some of the outfits Zoro wears.

I can go into more detail about DMNO’s inspirations another time, but I wanted to share a basic summary of what I have so far. I also wanted to vent about some of my worries concerning the inspirations behind my OC team. I want to get the new bios for DMNO posted here soon, here’s hoping I can actually finish writing them!!

REVIEW

I LOOOVED this episode. I thought it was great! A dip back into the old commentary, some angst but also a bunch of laughs lol, and my lovelies being family :DD. Plus we got Joshhhh, always love to see my boy :D. And overall just some really cool calls and such!

First off, congrats(-ish? lol) to Buuuck, it finally happened lol xD :D. Took a while but we got here xD. Anyway, I'm happy for his friends :)). And I'm glad that he finally got some (good) sleep lol, after he started being unable to as well XD. Hilarious, love my boy lol <3.

Eddie! Not much to say for him, though that scene with Bobby after the fire was really great. But we DIDN'T GET THE SHOT XDDD. The cross shot from the promos!! Rude lol. Anyway, him playing video games was great, and I'm glad he finally got some sleep xD.

But I'm glad Hen admitted to her emotions about it <3. Like, just because they know it's about Denny doesn't mean they can't have feelings lol! But if Denny did go to visit his bio dad in secret, I'm curious as to how that'll continue 👀👀. Welp, we'll see! Anyway, THEY'RE ADORABLE AND THEY'RE FAMILY AND I LOVE THEM <333 😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.

Also yeah Eddie openly saying "moms" got me okay 😭😭 I don't know why (that's a lie, I do, it's because it's amazing to see on tv :'D)

Poor Josh this episode xDD. I was wondering why they were looking shifty but I couldn't think of a reason (like thinking he was up to something or had a new relationship or something didn't make sense, them scheming to stop him sleeping or something didn't make sense, although it turns out they were scheming XD). I've gotta admit though it was a hilarious plotline lol, I loved it xD. Plus I just liked seeing my boy :D. Anyway, it was great xD.

Madney!!!! AHHHHH!!! They bought a house :DDDD. I mean sure, it's known as the murder house, but it's not ACTUALLY lol. Plus I'm sure that and eit cheaper :D xD. Besides the fact that it needs to much work. I'm sure we'll see the renovation process, and I'm looking forward to it!! I'm so excited and happy for them, ahhhhh (small aaaah scream not awhhh) :))) 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. THEM <33!

Now, onto Bobby. I feel so and for him D:. I wish his friend had survived, I was really hoping he'd be able to get through whatever he was going through, but alas :'(. And I liked that conversation Athena had with him :'). It was a nice callback, and of course I love my babeys <33. Plus I just like seeing anyone being supportive of their loved ones :)). Idk, it's just nice 🥰🥰❤️. I'm VERY interested in Bobby stopping at nothing to get answers though, it seems like it'll be super intense but I great storyline 👀👀. Not that the intensity is bad! Anyway, as long as it isn't too short or isn't drawn out too long, I think it has real potential :D. Plus, it's always wild (and a privilege lol) to just see Bobby go ham xD. Batcrap, I'll say, since I don't cuss lol. It's gonna be great >:).

Overall, I really loved this episode! I thought it was great, it had a suitably creepy atmosphere, and I thought the insomnia theme was really interesting! It left space open for moments we wouldn't normally see, which I loved :D. And the calls, plus all the family feels, and some angst? Perfect episode, in my opinion /hj <3. It was just great 🥰🥰. Between all the storylines, and the little moments, it was an awesome episode.

So yeah! I enjoyed this episode so much. It had a bunch of great parts, and I don't really have any complaints. I'm excited to see where the stories go next! This has been my review of. . .
