. . .
Parenthood is difficult.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out, so it takes Harry and Y/N approximately two minutes of bringing Clementine into the world to come to the same realization. Her loud wails break their hearts every time, sleep becomes a luxury, and breastfeeding takes an incredible toll on Y/N’s physical and mental health.
But in the same way that parenting is hard and filled with tears and confusion, it’s just as — if not more — rewarding.
Clementine is the best thing that’s ever happened to each of them. Harry can’t remember a version of his life where he wasn’t head-over-heels in love with his sweet baby girl, and Y/N has softened up a considerable amount now that she spends most of her day cooing to her daughter.
It’s not perfect by any means — Clem is a tried-and-true daddy’s girl and sometimes it hurts Y/N’s feelings. Clementine also inherited her mom’s grumpy exterior and, in the middle of a visit from Harry’s parents or Y/N’s sister, will starfish her body, going completely rigid until one of her parents takes her. (Harry always thinks it’s funny while Y/N is embarrassed by it. It’s something they’re working on as a family.)
Beyond their little trio, though, lies a larger situation that’s been conveniently tucked away since Clementine was born: Harry and Y/N’s relationship.
They never decided what they were after confessing feelings for one another. One day, they lived separately and were going the route of platonic co-parenting. The next, Harry moved all his things into Y/N’s, ended the lease on his own apartment, and painted the guest room a pretty pastel pink.
At first, it didn’t seem like that big of a deal. Y/N has never cared for labels on relationships, and their devotion to each other was blatant — they were parenting a child together, after all. He kissed her good morning, they held hands on family walks, and at the end of the day, they were crawling into bed together. She didn’t need a ring or a title to reiterate where she stood in Harry’s life.
Until… well, until the supermarket incident.
It was a rainy day, but Y/N wanted to pop into the store before they rounded the corner to head back home. Now that Clementine’s pediatrician gave them the okay to start trying out solid foods — or, as solid as baby food can be — Harry had gotten really into making it from scratch. Currently, their kitchen was a mess of sweet potato, apple, and green bean purees, but Y/N was trying to be supportive, even if the noise of the blender sometimes woke Clem up from her afternoon nap. She remembered him mentioning a new recipe he found for carrots, mangos, and bananas, so she figured they could grab the ingredients on their way home.
Clementine looked adorable in her cute little rain jacket and matching hat. Harry couldn’t stop taking pictures of her, and as they dipped into the produce aisle, stroller in tow, she remembered they needed another gallon of milk since they were trying to wean Clem off of Y/N’s breast milk.
“You guys can stay right here, it’s just in the next aisle,” Y/N said, arms stuffed with produce bags. Harry nodded, though his attention primarily laid on Clementine’s gummy smile. Y/N snorted to herself as she quickly shuffled off to the dairy section — the duo were two peas in a pod, but she didn't think she would want it any other way.
Glancing down at her watch, she put a pep in her step as she walked back to the produce aisle. They had about 15 minutes before Clem started getting antsy and whiney about her pre-dinner nap, and she didn’t want her to get upset on their walk home.
Only, when she turned the aisle, Harry and Clementine weren’t alone anymore — no, there were two women standing with them, cooing over their daughter.
“She’s so precious! How old is she?” one of them asked.
“Ah, almost eight months,” Harry replied bashfully, petting down the tuft of brown curls at the top of Clementine’s head. Y/N clenched her jaw. Why had he taken her hat off? It was supposed to protect her from the rain!
“So sweet,” the other woman grinned, reaching out to thumb over Clementine’s puffy cheek. The vision sent a pang of jealousy through Y/N’s chest — her baby wasn’t some kind of doll that anyone could just touch! Clutching the produce and container of milk in her hands, Y/N all but marched over to the stroller and threw them in the bottom compartment.
“Ready to go, honey?”
Harry blinked at Y/N, a world of confusion swirling in the green eyes he shared with his daughter. She stayed silent and still, knuckles white from gripping the stroller handle so tightly.
“Yeah,” he finally replied, leaning down to gently place Clementine back in her seat, “This is Y/N, Clementine’s mum.”
“Oh, your baby is so sweet! Harry was just raving about you!” one of the women nearly squealed. Y/N smiled tightly as she watched him buckle Clementine in.
“Okay, say bye bye, Clem,” Harry murmured. They’d been trying to teach her how to wave hello and goodbye, but Y/N would rather scoop her own eyeballs out than watch her do it for the first time with these women.
In fact, she was already pushing the stroller down the end of the aisle before they could even get the word “bye” out.
Since that day about two weeks ago, it’s been constantly replaying in the back of Y/N’s brain. Even though Harry didn’t think much of it (she knows this because he immediately started talking about nonsense on the walk home), for the first time, it plucked at a chord of insecurity that she didn’t even know she had. She’d always felt fairly secure in her relationship with Harry — he’d all but begged her for this life together, and he’d been incredibly involved from the moment she got pregnant — so how is that two random strangers at the supermarket tore this out of her?
It bothered her so deeply to the point where she did something she’d never done before: Ask Lea for relationship advice.
“In the years I’ve known you, you have never asked me for help with a man,” Lea had said, her eyebrows raised so high they nearly met her hairline. Y/N grumbled as she wrapped her hand around her matcha, avoiding eye contact with her friend. She’d been able to sneak out for an afternoon coffee date with her while Harry took Clementine to the park. “You’re always so… sure of yourself. And you have a literal child with Harry. What gives?”
Y/N shrugged as she rubbed her lips together nervously. “You should’ve seen the way those girls were all over him. It was… gross.”
“It’s normal to feel jealous, if that’s what you’re concerned about.”
“I am not jealous,” she muttered, “I just… he introduced me as Clementine’s mom. Don’t you think I’m a bit… more than that to him?”
“Of course you are. But you’ve never had that conversation, have you?”
“Like you said, we have a baby together. What else could you need?”
Lea smirked, “That’s all that you need. But he probably needs a bit more confirmation than that.”
Y/N bristled as she stuck her straw between her lips, taking a long sip.
“He knows we’re in a relationship, doesn’t he?”
“I don’t know,” she replied honestly, “Dom and I used to hear all the gossip about you two before Clem was born, but since then, I think he’s just been focused on making sure you and her are both taken care of.”
“So what do I do?” Y/N asked through a sigh, leaning back against the worn leather of the booth.
“Talk to him,” Lea said easily, “But… maybe don’t do it in your rough-and-tough-Y/N way. Maybe… make it a little special. He likes that, y’know? Little romantic gestures?”
Y/N scrunched her face. Lea was right — Harry was all about the little things, like surprising her with flowers or waking her up with breakfast in bed on the weekends. And while Y/N was positive she didn’t have a romantic bone in her body, she’d certainly attempt to find one if it meant making Harry happy.
. . .
A few days later, Harry walks into his shared apartment with Y/N to the scent of something delicious.
“Y/N?” he calls as he toes his shoes off in the entryway. They weren’t due for company, were they? He doesn’t think so, but with eight months straight of four to five hours of sleep each night, he had trouble remembering anything that wasn’t Clementine-related.
He follows the fragrance into the kitchen, where Y/N is standing over the stove, stirring a bubbling pot of some sort of sauce. She jumps, hand over her heart, when he goes to greet her.
“Jesus fuck, you scared me!” she exclaims, the wooden spoon nearly clattering to the floor. He smirks and lets out an amused laugh as he walks towards her, observing the array of pans on the stovetop.
“What’s all this for?” he asks. Y/N presses a hand to his muscular chest and attempts to block him from seeing anything.
“I’m making you dinner,” she mumbles, nibbling on her bottom lip, “Clem’s with my sister for the night.”
“Oh?”
She nods.
“Did I forget a special occasion?”
She shakes her head.
“Then how come I’m getting spoiled tonight?”
Her cheeks warm at that, but they both pretend her blush is invisible. “I just wanted to do something… romantic for you.”
“Romantic?” he repeats the word like it’s a bizarre concept and it makes a pit form in Y/N’s stomach, “That’s… sweet of you. Thank you.”
She nods, albeit a bit robotically. “Um. Yeah. It’ll be ready in like 5 minutes.”
“Sounds good,” he replies, “Do you want me to set the table?”
She shakes her head bashfully and Harry raises an eyebrow. “I already did that.”
Her demure nature makes a smile form at the edges of his lips and he reaches out to press a hand to her hip, squeezing gently.
“Y’okay?” he asks softly, tilting his head to look at her. “You seem nervous.”
Y/N shrugs and it supplies him with a tepid answer. “I just wanna make this nice for you.”
His heart breaks a bit at that and he ducks lower to catch her lips in a short, sweet kiss. PDA isn’t irregular for them — not with touch being Harry’s primary love language — so it’s unsurprising to be on the receiving end of one of his dizzying kisses, even if it ends quicker than she’d like.
“This is already so special to me. I do miss Clem, though.”
She snorts at that as he brushes his nose against hers. “Of course you do. She’s your mini me.”
“Except when she’s making that grumpy little face. That’s all you.”
Y/N lightly bats at his chest before mumbling out to go sit down in the dining room.
Harry’s eyes widen when he sees the candlelit table — he can’t remember the last time they ate on actual plates, always opting for take-out containers or paper plates for the sake of convenience. He swallows as he sits down and listens to Y/N shuffle around the kitchen. He hears her curse, followed by what sounds like her emptying pasta into a colander — she always burns herself whenever she does that, and he can envision the slight grimace that appears on her face.
Just as he’s getting antsy and preparing himself to ask if she needs any help, Y/N appears from the kitchen with a big bowl of pasta. She nibbles on her bottom lip as she places it on the table, then stands up straight. She looks like a soldier waiting to be told to return to their duties.
“Um… I made us that roasted red pepper pasta you like.” she says, wringing her hands out in front of her. “I hope that’s fine.”
“That’s great,” Harry nods, gesturing to the seat across from him, “Sit down. You look like you’re gonna have an aneurysm. Are you sure you’re alright?”
“Yes,” Y/N grumbles as she sits down, and the sound of her grouchy voice makes him chuckle as he grabs her bowl to serve her, “I know I’m not, like… the most romantic person, or even the easiest person to be around, so it’s important to me that I make this really good for you.”
“I hate when you say that,” he murmurs before placing her full bowl in front of her. He moves to serve himself, “You’re the easiest person I’ve ever been around. You’re a great mum and I love being a parent with you.”
Y/N swallows as she listens to him, leaving her food untouched. He watches her and takes a bite of his pasta, chewing slowly.
“Is that… all I am to you?” she asks softly with low eyes. Harry furrows his eyebrows.
“What do you mean?”
“Like… am I still just a co-parent to you?”
He sets his fork down and uses his napkin to wipe his mouth. “Well, we never really talked about it, I guess. But you know you’re more than that to me.”
“You’re more than just Clem’s dad to me,” she continues. “And it kinda hurt my feelings when you introduced me to those girls as ‘Clementine’s mom’ a few weeks back.”
Harry raises his eyebrows, “Oh. I didn’t think anything of it.”
“I know.”
His heart strains at the thought of hurting her feelings, but he also knows that what happened in the supermarket was weeks ago. Had she been sitting on it and thinking about it all this time?
“I never want to make you uncomfortable, Y/N. To be honest, I don’t know how to refer to you but… I’d say you’re my partner, yeah? You’re my teammate in raising our beautiful girl and I love getting to live life with you.”
Her heart thumps rapidly in her chest. “But what if… what if you called me your girlfriend, too?”
Harry’s silent for a moment. He reaches out to place his hand on her knee, squeezing softly.
“Would you want that?” he asks. “I’ll only do it if that’s what you want.”
She looks up at him and nods. Her eyes are glassy and it makes Harry’s chest tighten. Suddenly, he needs to be closer to her, so he stands up and scoops her into his arms. At first she rejects his touch, mumbling out sentiments about still having postpartum weight, but Harry shushes her and pulls her into his lap.
“Tell me what you’re feeling, Y/N.” he murmurs. He leans up and presses a chaste kiss to the side of her neck. She shivers and he keeps his hands as solid anchors on her hips.
“I want you to call me your girlfriend,” she says, lifting her gaze to look at him. “I don’t want you to entertain any other person or let them flirt with you or touch our baby. I just want it to be the three of us, always.”
If Harry’s being honest, he would have been content with living in this gray, in-between area with Y/N for the rest of their lives. He was happy — so incredibly happy to be in her life, to sleep next to her every night, to raise a gorgeous baby girl with her. He felt fortunate to be there for every moment, good and bad — but he would be a liar if he said he hadn’t been waiting for the day where she told him what was really going on in that pretty head of hers.
He presses a chaste kiss to her temple. “I’m sorry I hurt your feelings,” he says quietly, soft fingertips smoothing over the expanse of her hip, “You’re my girlfriend, okay? Not just Clemmie’s mum. You’re so much more than that.”
She nods her head and Harry smiles gently at how flustered she continues to be — it’s a side of her that he rarely sees, and the sight makes a low chuckle sound from deep in his chest.
“You’re silly,” he mumbles against the shell of her ear. “Isn’t that what you are? A silly baby desperate to be mine?”
Y/N bristles and swallows harshly, keeping her gaze low in his lap. His smirk only grows as he begins to press slow kisses along her jaw and down to her neck. Her eyes flutter closed.
“Everyone thinks you’re this pretty, grumpy girl, but I know better than that,” he continues, sliding his hands beneath her tee-shirt to feel her warm skin, “You’re loving and kind. The best mum I’ve ever seen. The best partner and the best girlfriend, too. Isn’t that right, mama?”
She gasps wetly and he feels her thighs threaten to clench, but his hips prevent her from getting any relief. He hums, satisfied with her response and, in a quick movement, pulls her shirt from her body and tosses it to the floor. Her swollen breasts sit prettily on her chest and he tries his best not to groan at the sight.
“Don’t tease,” she mewls. He chuckles as she grasps at the fabric of his own tee-shirt, the soft material in the tight clutch of her knuckles.
“Need me to fill you up?” he asks, though he knows the answer is an obvious and resounding yes. They haven’t had actual sex in at least a month, not with Clementine occupying 99% of their time. Even if he’s attempting to play it cool, his cock is hard and throbbing beneath layers of his clothing. He swears he can even feel the warmth of her pussy through her own clothes and it’s taking everything in him not to thrust up and grind against her.
“Yes,” Y/N pants, shaky fingers digging beneath the waistband of his trousers to pull his length out, “S-stop playing around. You know it’s been too long.”
Harry laughs lowly and lifts his hips up to grant her enough space so she can retrieve his cock. She doesn’t even bother pushing his pants or briefs down, swallowing tightly at the sight of the ruddy tip already leaking with pre-cum.
“Relax, baby,” he mumbles, grabbing one of her trembling hands and intertwining their fingers together, “Breathe, yeah? I’ll take care of my girl.”
Her pussy clenches at that — my girl — and she nibbles on her bottom lip eagerly when he pushes her soft shorts to the side to reveal her pussy. He wishes he had more willpower to look at what he’s been missing out on and his throat bobs when his eyes flicker down to the puffy clit tucked between her lips. He thinks they’ll both explode if he doesn’t get inside of her in the next two seconds, so he gives his cock a pump before he positions himself beneath her and slowly pushes in.
Immediately, she whimpers out and he stalls, his free hand pressing rigidly into the skin of her thigh.
“Y’alright?”
“Yeah,” she whispers, “Tight fit.”
“I know.” he mutters, glancing up at her to read her expression. “Do you need me to pull out?”
She instantly shakes her head, “No, no. Keep going.”
Harry leans up to seal their lips in a messy, wet kiss as he continues pushing in as slowly as he can. He supposes he should’ve spent more time stretching her out, but if there’s one thing he’s learned about Y/N over the past year, it’s that she’s always eager and ever determined to take him, even if it’s been weeks since their last time together.
When he’s finally all the way in, his balls snug against her bum, their kiss slows, though it doesn’t seem like Y/N has any plans to separate their mouths. He doesn’t move a muscle, even if he knows his cock is throbbing from the tightness of her pussy. And then, after what seems like an eternity, she nods.
Slowly, he begins to fuck up inside of her and breathy moans depart from her swollen lips. Harry’s mouth catches each one, punctuating every whimper with a gentle peck.
“There you go, mama, take my cock. You’re doing so good, aren’t you?”
She only responds with a lilting whimper and he moans, feeling the way her pussy clenches around his length. It’s not the dirtiest sex they’ve had — not by a long shot — but god, if it doesn’t feel incredible knowing that they’re completely devoted to one another.
“You make me feel so good,” she mewls, making his eyes nearly roll back, “I love your cock— ‘s so good, Harry, want— want you to give me another baby.”
“Jesus Christ,” he mutters, squeezing her hips hard, “Can’t just fucking say that stuff, baby. I’ll bust before you even cum.”
“D-don’t care,” she shudders, but he can tell she’s reaching her peak by the way her thighs begin to tremble, each of her muscles tightening. “Cum inside me, m-make me a mommy again.”
His chest vibrates with a deep groan and he reaches between them to pinch at her pearly clit, rubbing it in quick, tight circles. He’s seconds away from bursting himself, but he refuses to finish before she has a chance to.
It barely takes a few loops around the bundle of nerves before she’s shaking in his lap, her pussy tensing around his length as she moans out his name over and over again. It’s the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard and he presses his forehead against her sweaty shoulder, shuddering as her orgasm triggers his own. As requested, he pumps his cock deep inside of her as he comes, pushing his seed as far as it’ll go. She whimpers from the sensation as pants fall from her lips, shivering every time he thrusts another rope of cum into her.
They’re both shaking by the time both of their orgasms taper off. Harry wraps his arms around her sweaty form, pulling her chest against his.
“You’re mine, yeah?” he murmurs, pressing a kiss to her shoulder. “You and Clem. We’re a family.”
Y/N nods, echoing his words. “Yours.”
They settle into a comfortable silence; Harry’s softening cock still inside. He’s unsure of how how long they stay there, but he does know that they’ll have to move eventually so he can clean her up. It’s only then that she sits up to look at him, her eyes soft and tired.
“Harry?”
“Yeah?”
“Will you get me Plan B tomorrow?” she asks, biting her lip. “I think Clem is… more than enough for me right now.”
He laughs and nods his head.
“Yeah, sweetheart. I’ll pick some up for you tomorrow.”

Synopsis: It was the weeks leading up to finals at your university, which meant everyone and anyone were stressed out. Due to this panic, you were not able to book a study room and instead decided to do so at a cozy cafe down the street from where you lived. Which seemed like a great idea and saved you gas; however, for some reason your server is always the same sarcastic taunting man, Scaramouche. You're not quite sure why he won’t leave you alone or how he takes long breaks just to talk to you. Or how he brings you drinks and desserts for free—it's all a mystery, just like him.
A/N: In honor of Scaramouche's birthday <3
Packed. All Packed. All the study rooms in your university’s library were packed. You knew you should’ve woken up an hour earlier to ensure your spot in a room, but no, you were too tired from doing homework from the night before. This was a huge pain. I mean, where were you going to study if not in a study room? It’s not like you couldn’t study elsewhere, like in your room or other parts of the university, but those specific university study rooms gave you so much energy to get stuff done that you doubt you would be able to replicate the success you had elsewhere. Feeling defeated, you just decided to go on with your day while thinking of potential study places.
With no solution found, you walked out of the university, making your way to your apartment, still with a sense of defeat. You stopped at the crosswalk when you saw a white-haired girl drop her groceries. Feeling a sense of familiarity, you rushed over and helped the girl get up and pick up her groceries. Once she was back on her feet, she turned around with wide eyes and spoke.
“Y/N, it's you!”
“Nahida? What are you doing here?”
It was Nahida. She was a family friend and had been there for many fundamental points in your life. You wondered what she was doing here, near your apartment, since she lived elsewhere. “I’m dropping off groceries for my nephew. He works at a cafe and was not sure when his shift would end to buy some, so here I am to deliver.
She smiled brightly. She’s always so radiant in everything she says and does.
“I didn’t know you had a nephew.”
“It’s a recent thing.”
She said it shyly but with a smile. Looking at it now, Nahida has always had many amazing traits, one of the most prevalent being her infinite kindness and wisdom. Which gave you an idea in your head of what to ask the girl.
“Nahida, do you have any recommendations for study places? Preferably one that will cause motivation."
“Yes, I do! There are some cafes in other areas of town that would do the trick, but the one I most prefer is the 6wirl Cafe. It’s right by your apartment street, so it's easily accessible. It’s also where my nephew works. You should check it out. In fact, you should take this to him.”
She then passed the groceries over to you and gave you a warm smile before walking off in the opposite direction, leaving you dumbfounded and confused.
You then, with the groceries in hand, walked over to near your apartment, looking intently for the cafe. Finally, you saw it, with the name “6wirl Cafe.” What an odd name. Well, no going back now, so you walked into the cafe. It was a cozy cafe, with books all over the shelves and seat cushions ranging from green to blue. There were chairs and different-style bean bags in certain areas, and the cafe also had a section where booths were separated from others, giving one proper study time in a closed area. It was perfect for you. You were ready to dive in—well, until you remembered about the groceries. You needed to give these to her nephew, but who was he? Not knowing the best course of action, you decided to walk up to the register and ask the cashier.
“Hello, welcome to 6wirl Cafe! How may I assist you?
He had a casual, whatever-or-no tone. The man also had burgundy hair, whose bangs were pulled back by a black headband. Along with that, he had olive-green eyes with a mole under each. He was wearing a white shirt with khaki pants and a 6wirl apron over his shirt.
“Hello, this sounds odd, but I was wondering if any of your workers know someone named Nahida. She asked me to give this to her nephew, but I have no idea who that is.”
“OH. I know who you're talking about.”
The man had a beaming smile and turned back, shouting for the nephew.
“SCARAMOUCHE! You have a visitor—an interesting one, I might add.”
After a few seconds, Nahida’s nephew came in. He was beautiful—maybe the most beautiful person you’ve ever seen. He had indigo hair that reached up to his ears, which matched his dazzling indigo eyes. He wore a bit of red eyeliner under his eyes and the same outfit the man you spoke to before had.
“What is it, Heizou? You know I don’t like to be bothered on my break.”
He seemed annoyed.
“This lovely lady was looking for you and has a gift for you from your aunt.”
The Indigo-haired man then turned his head in your direction and proceeded to walk over to you. You would be lying if you said this man didn’t make you nervous. He then looked you straight in the eye with his hand extending outward. Was he asking for a handshake?
“Hand it over.”
I guess he wasn’t asking for a handshake.
“Don’t be so cruel to the young lady, Scara. She’s just doing your aunt a favor.”
“Then she should hand it over. It’s none of yours or hers buisness.” I know that he just wants his groceries, but he doesn’t have to be so mean about it. I guess he was too beautiful to be true.
“It actually is my business since I have known Nahida for years and she’s never mentioned you once. I wonder why that is."
You said, your tone switching from one of confusion to one of the same aggression that Scaramouche had towards you.
“Listen, I'm going to give you guys some time to talk in private; there's a booth over there you two can discuss this in. Also, Scara, this will be counting as your break.”
The man with the olive-green eyes then quickly scurried off to a room in the back of the cafe before Scaramouche could say anything. The indigo-eyed man next to you then turned around, mumbling the words.
“Let’s talk.”
You then nodded and followed that man to a seat. It was silent at first until you decided to speak.
“So your Nahida’s nephew? I've known her for years, yet this is my first time hearing that she has one.”
He seemed timid after that comment, as if his haughty persona had gone away. His facial expression also changed into a somber one. Which made you regret asking or using that tone with him.
“It’s a complicated arrangement.”
He then looked away. Judging by his facial expressions, you realized the circumstances that brought them together were likely not a happy one.
“I won’t pry into it then.”
Feeling remorse, you then passed him his groceries, which Nahida asked you to deliver to him. He then clutched the bag, holding it tightly to him. His words hitched on his breath as if he were hesitating to say something.
“I’ve heard of you before, well, all the time. Nahida speaks very highly of you, Y/N.”
“How did you know I was Y/N?”
“Call it figuring out context clues.”
“Nahida speaks highly about me?"
“That’s what I said, isn’t it?”
You were shocked, to say the least, but felt content knowing Nahida speaks highly of you.
“That’s kind of you to say. I’m sure she feels the same about you as well. If she's having you stay with her, I'm sure that means she cares for you very much."
You gave the man a warm smile with a soft expression and saw how his expression went from a somber one to a soft one as well. He then fiddled with his fingers and spoke.
“Thank you for saying that.”
He was shy with his expression, but even through that, you could tell that the Indigo-hair man was blushing. Maybe he wasn’t the same as the aggravated boy you met before. He then continued speaking.
“Though I’m still not over our talk from earlier, mortal.”
Maybe he was the same aggravated boy you met before.
“I’m sorry, what?"
“You heard me, mortal.”
“You know you're a mortal too? And you were the mean one.”
Your soft expression then turned into one with a glare.
“Quick tip glaring isn’t good for the face, mortal.”
“I am literally going to beat you up for that comment.”
“Try me, mortal.”
“Once again, don’t call me that! You’re literally a mortal too.”
"Hmm, then what should I call you? What about bug? Since I'll crush you in a fight.”
This man sure was something. Not a good thing, but something. Before you could retort back, the burgundy-haired man you met before came barging in.
“Scaramouche, your break is up. It’s time to work!"
"Ugh, but I barely even got a break.”
“Fifteen minutes is fifteen minutes.”
“But it’s not my fault that this bug came barging in here.”
It was as if you could hear your blood boil every second this man spoke. Especially when he called you a bug—I mean, who does that?
“Too bad, get back to work.”
He then stood up from his seat, groceries in hand, and looked back at you.
“You’re going to pay for this bug, and I’ll be back.”
“Try me.”
He just glared at you with a sour expression. Which caused you to pipe up and fake happiness to further sour his mood.
“Have fun! Bye Scara~”
You said it with a wide smile in a condescending tone, along with waving your hand back at the man. He only walked away, mumbling to himself.
Since you were already here with your backpack in hand, you decided to just pull out your laptop and start studying. You were loving the vibe of the cafe and even got up to order a drink to make you feel more motivated. You were excited to try the drink you ordered and were waiting to get it any second.
“Here’s the drink you ordered.”
You looked up. Oh. It’s him again, Scaramouche.
“What do I owe the pleasure of having you as my server?"
You said it with a small, clearly fake smile.
"Well, I just wanted to see how my bug was doing.”
“Once again, I am not a bug. How long is it going to take for that to get through your head?”
He then leaned down towards you, putting a hand near his ear.
“What’s that bug? I can’t hear you; try again when you get stronger.”
“I think someone lacks listening skills.”
“I do not.”
“So you can hear me.”
“Maybe anyway, here’s your drink.”
He then laid down the drink you ordered and took a seat next to you.
“Shouldn’t you get back to work?"
“You took my break time, so it’s only fair if I take some of your time.”
You rolled your eyes.
"Plus, I think you're pretty interesting.”
“Fine, you can stay here; just don’t bother me too much.”
Over the next few weeks leading up to the finals, interactions like those continued. With you coming every day to the cafe to study and having the same Indigo-eyed man as your waiter, It became the new normal to see him every day and have him rush to his job or take long breaks just to sit and talk with you. He still continued being rude and calling you a bug, but his soft side would show sometimes when he would bring you free drinks or desserts.
It was now Saturday, with your hardest final exam being on Monday. Needless to say, you were terrified since you had always performed poorly in this class. Which was why the second you woke up, you got dressed to start studying at the cafe.
You walked inside and waved hello to Heizou, who was at the register, and made your way to sit down in your usual spot. You sat down and pulled out your laptop and textbook to start taking notes and re-reading sections. This went on for about thirty minutes until you heard a familiar voice.
“How’s my favorite bug doing?”
The Indigo-eyed man was leaning over towards you, holding a tray with a slice of cake on it.
“Stressed.”
During the few weeks of being here, you had gotten used to Scaramouche’s nickname for you. At this point, the insult only hurt a bit, plus you had moved up the ranks and become his favorite bug. Perhaps during the few weeks you also developed a small crush on the man. Well, not a small crush, but a huge one, one that was only amplified with every word said and action performed. You’re not quite sure when it happened, but somewhere along the line, you realized that you enjoyed his company way more than you let on. Too much so that you can’t bear to go days without him, which brings you to your next problem other than finals. Once your exam is over, you won’t have a reason to visit the cafe or be here for hours. Which meant that from now until Monday, you had to study and figure out if Scaramouche feels the same for you.
"Hmm, well, luckily I could help with that.”
He then took to the seat across from you and placed down a tray with a small slice of strawberry shortcake and a small cup of coffee.
“I brought this for you, bug, so you could feel more motivated.”
He was always sweet like this, always bringing you free desserts and drinks. It was always too many to count, making you wonder if they were really free or coming out of his wallet.
He then picked up the fork and passed it over to you. Your hands touched for a split second, which to you felt like forever, like a moment that made you want to linger.
“Thank you for the great meal, Scara!”
You then took a few bites out of the cake. It was absolutely delicious—truly a cake made by the divine. As you ate, you realized that Scara was staring at you intently.
"Scara, I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but why are you looking at me like that?”
“Like what?”
“With that face.”
“You mean my handsome face.”
"Oh, shut it; I mean just that you're staring at me so intently.”
“Am I not allowed to stare at my favorite bug?”
“You know what I mean.”
“Fine, well, I’ll have you know I baked that cake.”
“You? Baked this?”
You were clearly shocked, looking back and forth at the man and the cake.
"Yes, I did.”
He then scratched his face, turning away shyly, and proceeded to speak in a low voice.
“I noticed you like the strawberry shortcake from our menu a lot, and I just wanted to learn how to make it for you so you don’t need to come here every time you want it but could just come find me." You blushed. Was he saying what you think he was? You don’t need to come here to see him, but could you see him anytime you want, anywhere?
“That’s really sweet, Scara. Thank you; no one’s ever done anything like that for me. I’ll cherish eating this slice of cake forever."
“I have the rest in my car.”
“I’ll take the rest too, then.”
“Don’t overeat.”
“I’d be happy to overeat on the cake you made for me.”
He then blushed and got up.
"Anyway, you should get back to studying.”
“That’s funny of you to say; don’t you usually stay here with me for long periods of time?”
"Well, it's only a short time till your final, so I want you to do your best and succeed."
You smiled at the man's sweet words and nodded.
A couple hours later, as you were exiting the cafe, the man came up to you once again. He grabbed your hand to pull you back while shouting your name.
“Y/N!”
You were stunned at that and how his hand was now holding yours. It was so unbelievably warm. It felt as if you had been cold all your life, and now, at this moment, you are finally experiencing warmth. You wished that he would never let go of your hand and that this warmth would stay for the rest of your life.
“Scara?”
“I don’t want you to forget the cake I made you."
He spoke shyly and shakenly.
“Of course I couldn’t forget; I just hadn’t seen you, so I assumed you’d give it to me tomorrow, but I’d be happy to take it today.”
The man then smiled and ran back to the breakroom. Leaving his hand with him, you felt cold again now that his hand was gone. Before you could think about it any longer, the man came back with the strawberry shortcake.
“Here’s the cake, and I’m telling you, bug, don’t overeat and get a stomach ache from it.”
“I won’t. I won’t.”
You then softly smiled and made your way out of the cafe, clutching tight to your strawberry shortcake.
Today was the last day to study for your final, so like yesterday, you went to the cafe the second you woke up. You wished you could say the final was the only thing on your mind, but it wasn’t. It wasn’t even the top priority. Your top priority was figuring out what to do about Scaramouche since, after tomorrow, you wouldn’t have a reason to visit the cafe as often as you do. I mean, tomorrow you promised him you would visit, but that was only to tell him how you did. Which meant you had to find out how he felt today.
You walked into the cafe once again, and like a daily routine, you waved hi to Heizou and sat down in your usual spot. You had pulled out your laptop and started reviewing the notes you made yesterday. Which didn’t last long, as ten minutes later your favorite waiter, Scara, came.
“Hey bug."
“Hello Scara.”
You then noticed him holding a tray carrying a drink. He then leaned down near you, placing the drink down.
“I wanted to try making this drink, but I can’t get the blend right. Any thoughts?”
He said as he slid the drink towards you. You then picked it up and took a sip. He was right that something was off with the drink, but you couldn’t figure out what.
"Hmm, maybe it has to do with the percentages of stuff you're putting in it? I’m not quite sure I’m not a coffee expert."
“Thanks bug. I’ll get better at making it and make you try it again soon.”
The man then ran off before you could get another word in.
He then came back after an hour with a small pastry and a cup of coffee. He leaned over you and slid the pastry and coffee in front of you.
“Here, this is take two of trying to get the blend. What do you think?"
You then tried the coffee, still feeling something off. Hmm, maybe it's that it doesn’t have a big aftertaste."
The man then grabbed the cup, taking a sip.
“I think you're right; I’m not sure what to do as the aftertaste flavor is completely stumped."
“I know the perfect flavor.”
You both turned back to see where the voice was coming from. To both of your surprises, it was Nahida. She then took a seat opposite
you, and you scooted over for Scaramouche to sit by you. “Nahida, what are you doing here?
“I just wanted to check up on how both of you were doing. I’m glad to see you both getting along great. Oh, Y/N, did you enjoy the cake Scara baked?
He tried so hard to make the cake to your liking.”
"NAHIDA, don't tell her that.”
Scaramouche was as red as the strawberries on the cake he made you yesterday. He was blushing, and he seemed to have lost his composure.
"Sorry, Y/N, he seems to be a bit shy, but I hope you enjoyed the cake.”
“I loved the cake and am very grateful for it!.”
“Well Nahida you said you knew the solution to the blend problem.
How do I figure out what to pick for the aftertaste?”
"Well, I knew that I’d be confident that you’d find the solution. Think about the coffee and who it’s made for—the person it’s meant to be given too. Once you have figured all that out, you will be able to make the perfect blend."
Classic Nahida to give such a vague answer.
“Thank you for your wisdom, Nahida. I’m sure he’ll be able to figure out the blend sooner or later.”
The Indigo-haired man sighed and then nodded.
"Well, I should be on my way now. I wouldn’t want to keep you from studying. Goodluck Y/N!”
She then got up and walked away from the cafe. Leaving you and Scaramouche dumbfounded at what just happened. You spoke first, followed by him.
“What do you think she meant by who’s the coffee for?”
The man then blushed heavily and turned around.
"Nothing; she meant nothing. You should study now; it won't be long till your exam.”
He then left and hurried back to work. Maybe leaving quickly runs in the family; who knows?
It was now thirty minutes before the closing of the cafe. You had grown worried since you hadn’t seen Scaramouche since. I mean, of course, it’s his job to work here and not sit and chat idly with customers, but it felt odd that he was here but not with you. It makes sense that he left you so you could study, but he could’ve stopped by to say hello at least. You had grabbed your bag and made your way to the exit of the cafe when you tripped. You had felt yourself fall backwards and closed your eyes, bracing for impact. But it never happened; you never made contact with the ground but instead with someone's arms.
“Caught you bug.”
It was him. Scaramouche, the man you liked, had caught you. You couldn’t help but blush and smile with excitement.
“Why are you smiling, bug?”
“Because I’m finally seeing you."
He then smiled and helped you stand back up.
“I’m glad to hear you're happy to see me.”
"Well, you didn’t come visit me after Nahida came, so I was worried.”
"Well, I was working on perfecting the blend, and I think I have it.”
"Woah, can I try it then?”
"Nope, you’re going to try it tomorrow when you come to tell me how you scored on your final.”
"Boo, that’s so mean.”
“That way, we’ll know if you deserve to try it.”
“Still, what if I do bad tomorrow?”
He then bent down to grab your hand and kiss it.
“I know you won’t do bad tomorrow.”
You blushed, your brain not processing that the man you like just kissed your hand.
“I’ll do my best for your sake, then.”
The man then smiled softly and spoke.
“It’s getting late; you should be on your way home."
“You’re right; I’ll take my leave then.”
The man then kissed your hand once more before letting you go.
“I believe in you one hundred percent.”
You went home that night with a million thoughts racing through your head and your heart beating practically out of your chest. You had gathered enough information to conclude that Scaramouche likes you—at least you think so. Tomorrow, after your exam, if you do well, you swear you're going to tell him your feelings.
You had just gotten out of your final exam. You were stressed going in there and felt like you were going to throw up just taking the exam; however, it was all worth the struggle when you saw your score. You had scored a perfect score. Those long weeks of studying nonstop had paid off, and now you were even more confident to reveal your feelings.
You had made your way to the cafe and walked in following your daily routine, saying hello to Heizou and walking over to your usual spot. You waited for about a minute before the Indigo hair man came.
“So how’d it go, bug?”
He said it, beaming with excitement as if already knowing how it went.
"Well, I got a perfect score on my exam!”
Before saying anything, he rushed in to envelope you in a hug. Holding you tightly, whispering that I knew you could do it, and that’s my bug. When the both of you broke out of the hug, he paused, told you he had something for you, and ran off into the back room. The man then came back carrying a tray holding strawberry shortcake, roses, and a small cup of coffee.
He then slid the strawberry shortcake and small coffee over to you and passed you the bouquet of roses.
“Thank you so much, Scara. This is so sweet of you. Thank you for everything.”
You said this while smelling the roses he gave you. He then pointed to the small cup of coffee.
“I’ve perfected my blend, and I wanted you to taste it to see if it’s to your liking.”
You smiled and drank the coffee. It was amazing, truly perfect, like Scaramouche had said. It was sweet and full of flavor, just as you liked it, but most of all, it was filled with overwhelming care and love
“Scara, this is amazing! It’s the perfect blend! How’d you do this?”
“I thought about what Nahida said, who I wanted to give this coffee to, and what feelings I wanted to express. I wanted to give this coffee to you, so I used items you liked in it, and I wanted to tell you I like you romantically, so I put my all into making this perfect for you.”
The indigo-eyed man was blushing heavily while confessing his love to you.
“Y/N I just couldn’t live without telling you my feelings, knowing I wouldn’t see you as often or at all after finals. I like you so much and want you to stay with me.”
You smiled at the man’s confession and jumped into his arms, enveloping him in a hug like the one he had given you before.
“I like you too, Scara. I want to stay with you as well."
“Thank you for liking me back, Y/N.”
He spoke shyly but in a happy tone. Soon, the two of them broke out of the hug and sat down side by side.
“Hey Scara?”
“Yes, bug?”
“Would you do me the honor of being my boyfriend?”
Scaramouche gave a pure, genuine smile back at Y/N.
“I’d love to.”
"Well, then my first degree as your girlfriend is that we eat cake.”
You pointed to the cake. You then grabbed the fork and took a bite of the cake.
“Scara, it's delicious; you should try some.”
“I will.”
He said it mischievously, which was then followed by him leaning closer and closer to you. He then moved his hand to cup your cheek and moved closer to you until your lips were inches away. You both could feel each other's breath being inhaled and exhaled.
“Is it okay if I kiss you?”
He whispered quietly, just low enough for you to hear. You then nodded. He then closed the distance between the two of you and kissed you time and time again. He loved the way your lips were soft and the way you smelled so sweet, as if your scent were mirroring your personality. Finally, when the two of you let go of each other's lips, the Indigo-haired man then smirked.
“The strawberry shortcake was absolutely delicious, right?”
You blushed heavily, the thoughts of what just happened moments ago still repeating through your head.
"Yeah, I think that’s my new favorite method of eating strawberry shortcake.”
"Hmm, is that so?”
“I’m very sure of that.”
"Well, then let’s go again.”
He said he was smiling once more. Leaning closer once more and closing the distance between the both of you once again.

Diggers accidentally drugs himself because he refuses to clean his van. (GN Reader)
Synopsis: Diggers gets coated in his own bubble solution and seeks you out in his high haze.
Notes: Before I got to requests I wanted to get a feel for writing the Reverse 1999 universe. I love this stupid white boy and his magic bubbles. I also love making headcanons from one off lines. Take a shot every time I say 'solution'!
Requests are open!
The sound of banging metal rings sharp in Diggers’ ears as someone knocks on the door of his van. The door slides open, and the arcanist shines with a bright grin upon seeing you. With relaxed arms, he brings you into a hug. Your face is pressed against him while his hair tickles against your face.
“Baby, what’re you doing ‘round here?” He smelled like citrus and something more earthy. Despite his lanky frame, his body ran pretty warm. “If I knew you were coming, I woulda cleaned up a little.”
The messy disaster that was his van wasn’t anything new. Records stacked in piles, his guitar lying haphazardly on the ground, and many jars and buckets to make bubble solution. It was a miracle that he could move around without hurting himself.
“Well, maybe if you had a telephone, I could tell you when I’m coming over.” You chided as he guided you to a bean bag in the corner.
Diggers let out a huff. “Telephones blind us from our real-world connections. We forget the importance of face-to-face conversation when tethered to machines.” He rants while looking through scattered jars.
“That’s a lot of words to say you can’t afford one.” You teased, watching him move around the cramped area.
Finding the specific glowing liquid he was searching for, Diggers turned back towards you. “The dependency of consumerist behaviors will be the topic of another day. Right now, I have to show you my latest creation of inspiration.” In front of him was a bright pink jar of solution.
The bubble-blowing arcanist loved showing you his art. When he would be making different creations, you would always be in a part of his mind. Love is a form of art, and he strived to make beautiful works with you, to live together in a peaceful utopia where creativity flourished.
“This is my latest solution! With this, I can-!” He’s abruptly cut off as his foot catches on the strap of his guitar. He tumbles back, and the jar slips from his hands. The sour-smelling liquid spills over his body, leaving him with a bubbly sheen. “Ah! Bullocks! Maybe it won’t kick in…” His speech started to slur in an act of cruel irony.
After spending so much time with Diggers, you’ve learned how to counter his bubbles. There have been too many incidents of you getting caught in the crossfire and blacking out, leaving you with no memory of what happened. You pull out a face mask infused with your arcane magic from your pocket. It was a simple and effective way to deter his hallucinogenic solutions.
You help him sit up, brushing the soapy hair out of his face. His eyes were unfocused and hazy, and his pupils were blown wide, nearly swallowing the green iris. “Diggers, are you alright?”
The sound of your voice draws his attention more than your touch. “Ugghhh… My muse, your voice is a gift from beyond. A true work of art. I would carve it into a record if I could.” He rambles on in a haze. Leaning further into your touch, Diggers slumps against your body, pressing his shiny cheek onto your shoulder. The position is pretty awkward, but he is content.
“My reverie… my perfect reverie. As long as you’re with me, peace will surround me.” With two fingers, the arcanist makes a peace sign, holding it out to you.
Mimicking the sign, you press your middle and pointer fingers into his. It was an affectionate gesture that Diggers came to you with. You don’t fully remember when and why he started doing it, but it was sweet. It was something so charming and uniquely Diggers like.
Taking your hand fully in his, Diggers lets out another groan. “There might be too many crystalized herbs in this solution… My head won’t stop spinning.”
“Please don’t throw up on me.” You spoke bluntly. It wouldn’t be the first, and probably not the last, time it’s happened. Your partner had a rather sensitive stomach.
“I’m trying my best not to.” Feeling that sitting up was too much of a chore, Diggers slumps over further until his head is on your lap. With him looking up at you, you could see his eyes were less cloudy and more focused. The soap bubbles must be starting to wear off now.
“You look positively inspiring at this angle. I should save up money for a camera. Then you’ll be by my side all the time. Hm, is there anywhere to get film developed nearby?” Though he was still rambling, he sounded much more coherent.
With your free hand, you start to play with his drying hair. “I think there’s a camera store on 10th Street.”
“Maybe I’ll learn to develop the film myself. Then after I learn how I can teach you.” Diggers spoke with his usual exaggerated hand gestures. He was feeling much better now that the soap was starting to dry. But of course, he would love to stay in your lap longer.
With a hum, you idly twirl his hair. You found it cute how he always wants you to feel included in his life. Whether it’s telling you about his latest solutions or inviting you to start some mischief in the name of peace and creativity, Diggers always wanted you to be around.
“It seems like you’re back to normal. Are you feeling better?” You asked while cupping his face, his stubble scratching against your skin.
Letting out a near-dreamy sigh, Diggers pushed his cheek further into your palm, relishing in the warmth. “A moment in your arms is like a moment in heaven. If anything, your caring touch is what nursed me back to perfect health.”
Though you tried to keep it in, a small laugh passed your lips. “That was so corny.”
“I know, but it made you laugh.” He smiled. With a small grunt, he sits up from your lap and pulls you into an embrace. Diggers hooks a finger onto your face mask and pulls it down; leaning in to give you a tender kiss. “I do feel a lot better. Hmm, but I need the solution’s effects to last longer. I guess accidentally drugging myself was a worthy sacrifice for knowledge.”
“Please don’t keep drugging yourself just to test your bubbles…”

❝I have these two great friends called Birth and Control.❞

Tumblr media
You had never heard of a more reverbrating sound than Helaena's smack to a poor, traumatised Daeron. "You toe licking, armpit looking, ugly garbage can!" Healeana shrieked, promptly dragging her youngest brother further away as you and Aemond scurried deeper into the safety of the darkness and shame, folded defensively onto one another, laughing your asses off.
"Oh my god," you exhale. "I am never going leaving this maze. I am going to live here, eating brambles and shit, and die here. Leave me now and prevail, Aemond. I will be fine. I'll haunt you in two to three business days."
Aemond chuckles from below you, unseen from your gaze, the mesmerised adoration he held as he can still feel his lips tingling from your desperation, still feel the curves of your body, the soft skin— he clears his throat, holding you steady by your hips before moving around until he's hovering over you as you adjusted your dress, eyes fluttering his with pressed lips trying not to laugh.
"I have a feeling dinner is ready."
"I also have a feeling your mother and grandfather knew exactly what we were doing minutes before and I fear I'd rather die here than face that."
He laughs, offering his hand and you take it regardless. "Then my mother would be glad. She didn't exactly feel the new bliss of couples between us."
You scoff. "Only because you treated me like you were cosplaying a Frost Giant." At his raised eyebrow and choked, surprised laugh, you blush. "Oh, get off with it. Your sister really likes the idea of Jotun!Loki and I am not one to kinkshame."
He strangles a laugh, peeling stray twigs from your hair. "I wouldn't dare assume. Let's go eat."
You tighten your hold on his hand, worry crescent on your forehead that Aemond straightens. "And talk?" As good as that felt, as perfect as puzzles sliding in together, you were past the age where burrowing it deep with the good parts and ignoring the pressing talks that need to be addressed.
And Aemond deserved better than that at least.
"Okay." He nods, swallowing. "Later, please."
"Okay." You try and reassure him with a smile and that seems to appease him, if a little.
Tumblr media
Once Aegon had made five jokes concerning Daeron's loud rant— he was promptly shut up by his sister smacking him in the back of the head as soon as their mother was fretting in the kitchen and their grandfather's phone pinging for his attention, spoon on his mouth that might have been a medical nightmare — dinner went smoothly.
Daeron had successfully refused to look at your general direction, or his brother, or both since you sat together, churlish in giggles, in chatter and light arguments. Aemond kept taking the nicely marinated baby potatoes on his plate to yours once you finished up your own, and exchanged it with shuffling green beans to his plate because he loves them— it's nice.
It's more than nice. It's everything you could hope for when you think about dinner with your boyfriend's family. It's a softened thought that brews to yearning. You want this. You want be sat next to Aemond like this again, making jokes, piling food onto each other's plate, ribbing with his brother until he blushed then standing up against him when it got too far— seeing the smile he sends your way, endearing, loving, and for a moment, for this one realised moment built on lies and chuckle-fuckery ease, you let yourself indulge.
You joke about spoon feeding him dessert and blush as he envelops his soft lips over the spoon, Daeron and Aegon mimicking gags while Alicent is blushing, unable to stop a girlish giggle, a sound so surprised to her own person that she hiccups.
You are with him and you give yourself strength to break his heart.
Dinner finishes off with a lazy flick, Alicent and his father descending into business talks that usually included Aemond and though you tell him you can go hang out with Helaena— Daeron and Aegon deciding on playing The Last of Us in the game room because Aegon said he needed a good cry but also to shoot things — Aemond who had taken your hand sometime ago and has been brushing his thumb over your knuckles in a soothing gesture, implores you with a look.
You swallow and give a nod, trying for another smile that fails, noticing the moment Aemond sees it fail, his brow curling, lips pursing but doesn't say anything.
As he moves to lead, he pauses, turning back to you. "Where—?"
"Your room?"
Just as he nods, Alicent's soft and embarrassed, "Keep the door open, please," pulls you both to a blushing stop.
Otto— and Helaena rifling through ice cream in the kitchen — crow simultaneous, "Alicent," and "Mom!" as Alicent raises both her hands, the wine in her right sloshing. Though she is pink-cheeked, she maintains eye contact with her son while Aemond is struggling.
"I know you're old and smart enough, young man, and you are such a lovely girl," Alicent says to you, "and I would no doubt adore the grandchildren you will provide me—"
"Oh my gods," you stifle your giggles as Aemond makes a discordant sound in the back of his throat, like a cat hacking a saw. Otto is laughing into his wine while Helaena is making gagging noises in the background.
"— but I hope to have them when Aemond's at least graduated, so that he can provide well for you." Alicent nods, blinking. You can tell that the wine is catching up to her. "He's a good boy so I'm sure he'll do right by you. But I at least want you both to be married, of course, I would prefer if Aegon or Helaena got married first but—"
"— and that's my cue to stage left, folks," Helaena says, making a face as she grabs the entire tub of cookies and cream. "If anyone needs me, I'm in my room trying to find a husband so my baby brother can get married, gods forbid he carries on with bastards from his beautiful girlfriend— whomst, by the way, is my best friend, dunno how we're forgetting my credit in all of this."
Aemond shakes his head. "They're not sleeping here, mom, and providing you grandchildren is not in my agenda." He tugs your hand, smirking as he pulls you close only to whisper playfully, "Not tonight at least."
You shiver, laughing under your breath. "I dunno if you know this, but I have these two great friends called Birth and Control."
He breaks into a laugh and that, at least, eases the tension until you round up in his room, trying to give Helaena a meaningful look but you don't think she understands it with how she salutes you with her spoon, winking audaciously.
"Here." Aemond flicks the light on and his childhood bedroom brings a smile to your face. It's cerebral, the faint blue of his textured wallpaper, the perfectly lined books, even the framed achievements. But there's also the Oasis poster, the little figurines that you know is part of some Old Valyrian battle replica he collected when he was younger, even his old fencing gear and an exact photo of it alongside his club master, his grandfather, and family friend, Criston Cole.
"It's been a while since I've been here," you tease lightly. "It's kind of funny of your mom to think I'd be the first hot girl to christen your childhood bed."
He hums, turning away as he closes the door. When he turns back, he's rolled back his bottom lip between his teeth as he looks at you with sincerity.
"It wouldn't be much of a competition to beat. You were the first hot girl I'd ever got inside my room."
"Ahh. Right. Teasing you before your growth spurt was the highlight of my week."
Aemond let out an aggressive sigh as you laugh. "I was a senior in high school when I met you, riña, this is getting ridiculous. Borderline paedophilic since I had you moaning an hour ago."
You heave, slapping his arm. "Okay, stop, you made it weird now. Gross. Eugh."
"Promise you'll stop now?"
"Fine, I promise."
An awkwardness settles before Aemond nods at the double French doors. "Wanna talk on the patio? You've always liked my room's view than Lae's."
"Yeah," you grin.  "'Cos you got the only view of the lake."
"You can barely see it with the trees. And this darkness." Reason out all he wants, but he opens the door for you, and the cool air is crisp and nice against your warm skin.
You hold out on the ledge, squinting your eyes so you can see peeks of luminous bounce of the calm lake between dark sways of forest. Once in a while, it glitters and glimmers, making itself known.
"It isn't fully true though."
"What is?" Aemond fixes his elbows, warmth pressed against yours as he stares at a fixed point of nowhere. But you can feel his tension, feel his questions he's trying to be patient to keep in. You're glad for it. Grateful. Because it gives you enough courage to confess.
"I hung out in your room because I liked hanging out with you," you admit. "Teasing you was the highlight of my day."
"Gee. Thanks."
"I was more surprised you kept letting me hang out with you when I did nothing but annoy you."
"Why do you think that is, ñuha riña?" he asks softly.
"Because you're sweet?"
The way he's looking at you... it makes you breatheless. Especially when he moves to turn fully toward you, taking you by your elbows, and you close your eyes when he leans in expecting his mouth on you, your heart dancing in the palm of his hand because it feels so, so easy to trust Aemond with it, instead he presses his lips underneath your eye, nuzzling against your nose. It shatters and remakes your heart, making you hold onto his shirt for some semblance of comfort.
"Because I've always liked you," he whispers against your skin as if it's his best kept secret. "Because I'm weak when it comes to you. Because you," he breathes against your mouth, taking your bottom lip between his teeth and giving it a tug, "make it easy to want you."
A weak laugh escapes your lips and his mouth follows the sound as if he wants to swallow it, but you press a palm to his chest. He growls.
"Easy there, tiger, that didn't sound much like a compliment."
He pulls back, holding your face. "Sorry, shit, I didn't mean— I'm not good at this. I meant... you're unattainable. Not just as Helaena's best friend but... you're cool, you're fucking gorgeous and incredibly hilarious."
"Ñuha jorrāelagon." He breathes care into the word. The word is lost on me and I force my brain to pocket it like a love letter so I can search it up. "I never thought I could be here, touching you like this." Without warning, he moulds his lips to yours in a harsh, deep kiss. It's quick but it leaves you breathless, his voice coming up ragged. "Kiss you like this. It feels like I'm in a dream and I'm struggling to let go of it. So a while ago... after..."
You nod, pressing your forehead against his, unable to look at him in the eye. You focus on touching him, your hands sliding down, making him shiver when you go underneath his shirt, skating his side until you warm your cool fingers with his spine.
"That's the thing, Aemy," you whisper. "In your head, by your words, I'm always a version to you."
He calls your name, leaning back and you're forced to see the confusion on his face.
"Helaena's best friend. Past that, an unattainable crush. Now a fake girlfriend. Someone you use to get Alys' attention, and who better than the unattainable crush? It's a pedestal, Aemy."
"It's not like that, that was a bad, convoluted—"
"But it's the truth, it's how I feel. And though that sucks, I understand." You take his hands as you step back and he's frowning harder, the lines deepen and his jaw is tight. "I knew what I was getting into, you know? But things change because I've changed."
"It's Cregan, isn't it?" he snarls, tugging his hands away.
"Oh, you jealous idiot, it's you! We've gone over this, you incredible dumbass!"
"Me? How the hell is this about—"
"— because I love you!" you shout. Then stop, inhale. Blink. Aemond copies it. It's almost hilarious. "Or I know I can be."
He works his jaw, turning away. "I don't understand."
"Okay, here it is." You inhale. "Just listen and breathe for a second, okay? Okay? Don't turn away from me." You pull him back by his chin, smiling faintly at the pout you form. "Say you understand."
He sighs, taking your hand. "Yes, I understand."
"I can't compete with someone you've loved for so long," you start softly, staring at your conjoined hands wondering if this is the last time you'll get to hold him like this. "Without you showing you can love me for more than that. I can't compete with your own ideal happy ending if I'm not part of it. I won't. I refuse." Your smile is wry, it's heartbreak and it's strings. You wish you had the energy to scream, to act like a brat and demand his heart, his promises in gold-ink and pink-veined hue. It's what your heart wants.
But you're of big age. You've seen love in its spaces, how it takes root in people, how it affects the world around you.
And you know you cannot love him if he does not make the effort to love you in the same way.
Your heart is in your throat but the words come out anyway. "Because I love you, Aemy. And I know I can fight for you. I can fight for what we have. I can wake up tomorrow and choose to love you with the same degree, if not fiercer, if I could. And I could do that again and again. That's how love works. You have to wake up tomorrow, see me, and choose to love me all over again."
You smile gently, sadly. "I can't allow myself to be loved in halves. I've done that before, I'm not doing it again. Not even for you."
You bring yourself on your tip toes— damn tall, beautiful rat bastard — and brush your lips on the corner of his. His eye closed. "I'm not going to pressure you for an answer. Alys was... Alys is a big part of what you know is love, and I respect that. I understand that it'll be hard, but I need to know if you're willing to let go of it for me. Because I can promise you I can love you. But I won't. Not without assurance that you can try for me."
"What are you asking me?" he asks softly, straightening. There's a hard line going into his body, like a dutiful student given an assignment.
"I'm asking you to think if you can see past the little statue you've made of me. See me breathing. Alive, just like this." You press a hand to his face and retrieve it back before he can hold it. He shots you a look of betrayal. "I'm going home with Hel. You know how to message me, okay? Bye, dōna zaldrīzes."sweet dragon.
His eye flick upward, shock and heartbreak and confusion moulds and twists into such a beautiful blue, mouth agape trying to find words he can't find— and you smile wryly, turning away and leaving.
Tumblr media
You get to Helaena's door quick, knocking soon after.
"Hmph!"
"You're either getting choked by a robber or masturbating, and really Hel, I need you to make two grunts to tell me the former so I can bust down the door because I don't want to see you bust a—"
The door swings wide, Helaena's face in a comical irritation.
"That is so fucked up, I hope you know— hey, hey." Her irritation sweeps into a frown as you fail to contain your watery eyes. "What happened? What's wrong? What did Aemond do? Oh, that little twerp—"
"— it's not him, it's not him, chill, I just wanna go home, yeah? Get our cakes and go, please?"
Hel's frown deepens, eyes darting back to Aemond's door.
"Please, Helaena," you beg. "I'll tell you when we get home. I'll make us special drinks."
She takes your hand, determination wound tight with concern. "Sure thing, babe. Let's go."
When you make your hasty departure to her grandfather of all of them, Alicent already in bed and the other boys still in the gaming room, cakes in hand, you tow over Helaena's baby blue buggy— she leans over at you with a hand on the ignition, whispering as if she was afraid, "You— are you meeting Cregan tonight? After, I mean." Her eyes widen. "I'm not judging, I'd never—"
"No, no, I understand. You'd never judge me for that, I know. But no. Just you and me tonight."
She smiles softly. It's not like Aemond's but they don't look that apart that it still stings. "Love you."
"Love you too, lovebug."
Loving Helaena isn't hard.
Just as you know loving Aemond wouldn't be, despite it all. But it isn't you that has issues that needs handling, and you've put everything in his court now.
And yet you can't deny your hope.

“Hey baby what’s wrong?” “Why does something have to be wrong? I gotta talk to Rick really quick.” “Okay honey tell him I said hello and sorry for interrupting poker night.” “You don’t need to apologize sweetheart but I’ll tell him you said hi…….listen up my wife is on this phone and if you so much as breathe a little too loud and she hears you I’ll make this the most painful night of your like you got that? And I really don’t want to tape your mouth shut because it’s such a waste of tape but I will…now….just let me tell her where her mug is and then we can get back to our little chat okay? Nod your head if you understand…Good……sorry about that baby.” “It’s okay so…do you happen to know where-” “top shelf in the cabinet left of the microwave…that’s where your pink mug with the smiley faces on it is.” “Oh god you’re the best..I love you.” “I love you too Princess I’ll be home in….an hour or so depending on how much money Rick is willing to lose tonight…” “be gentle with him honey.” “I’ll try my best.”
“Why won’t you just be still? It doesn’t hurt as much when you’re not wiggling around like a worm on a hook….wait one moment my wife is calling…sorry I hate gagging people but I can’t risk you yelling or anything so…here we go….hey baby.” “Hey honey! So I’m standing in the kitchen and I have no idea what to make for dinner tonight and I also can’t find the remote to the tv.” “Okay well the remote is next to the coffee pot that’s where you left it this morning when you turned the news on while getting ready for work…now for dinner what are the options?” “You really do just keep track of everything…uhm let’s see the options are…spaghetti with meatballs…I can make meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans or….uhm well that’s all I’m in the mood to make so those are the options.” “Spaghetti sounds great sweetheart….one moment baby I gotta help someone with their head gear.” “Oh yeah go help them honey! Safety first!” “Yeah safety first……you were doing so good and now…now I have to use the tape and I fucking hate using the tape………don’t look at me like that I told you to just be still this is all your own fault now I’ll be right back….hey baby…so does spaghetti sound good to you?” “Yeah that sounds great I’ll make it enough so you can have leftovers for your lunch tomorrow.” “Perfect…I gotta go but I love you and I’ll be home soon.” “I love you too.”
“Hey sweetheart.” “Hi honey I’m not bothering you am I?” “Not at all I’m just uh..digging some…holes…for Henderson’s mom’s new bushes for her backyard.” “Oh that’s so nice of you to do that….” “What’s wrong? You sound upset.” “Well uhm…don’t freak out okay but I’m…lost?” “Lost?…baby how are you lost in Hawkins it’s not even that big of a city…” “I think I turned left somewhere I was meant to turn right…and now I’m on a street called sir Timothy? I haven’t ever been in this neighborhood before and it’s getting dark and my phone can’t even locate me to tell me how to get home and-” “hey hey it’s okay baby I’ll come and get you and you can just follow me home okay?” “You…you know where I’m at?” “Yes you’re in that new development over by lover’s lake…really nice houses over there…big plots of land too it’s nice.” “When have you been over here?” “On my way home once or twice…I just drove around seeing if it was maybe a place we’d wanna move to eventually.” “Oh…I mean it is…nice over here but I love our house.” “I love our house too…now just sit tight and I’ll be there in a few minutes.” “Okay…I love you…thanks for coming to rescue me.” “I love you too and you know I’ll always come and rescue you…it’s part of the job of being a husband.”
“Honey? Why are you all out of breath? Are you okay?” “Yeah baby I’m fine I just had my phone in my locker at work and had to run when I heard it going off.” “Oh I’m not bothering you during your break am I? I know how much you love your sixty minutes of silence in your truck.” “No sweetheart you’re not bothering me…are you home already?” “I am! That’s actually why I was calling…I was seeing if tonight could be our date night for the week? Since I’m off early and you don’t work tonight?” “Sure we can have date night tonight….I should be home around five.” “Oh perfect that gives me two hours to be a couch potato before I have to start getting ready….” “Baby…” “yes?” “Is that really the only reason you called?” “I might’ve just also wanted to hear your voice…it gets all rough in the middle of the day from you yelling at people to do their jobs correctly….” “Oh and you enjoy that do you?” “You yelling? No but…I do enjoy what it does to your voice…but I’ll let you get back to work.” “Oh you’ve gotten your fill then huh? I’m free to go now?” “Yes you’re free to go.” “Okay well I’ll see you when I get home…if you miss me too much feel free to call me…” “you just want an excuse to get out of working.” “No I just like hearing your voice…I love you baby I’ll see you soon.” “I love you too honey…see you when you get home.”

Vincent Sinclair x fem reader
What if reader and vin have a kid together and she’s def a daddy’s girl and loves Vincent’s face they just a chill day them playing outside daughter hugging vin just super cute and fluffy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> Vincent Sinclair x f!reader
-> Warnings: none! just fluff.
-> Summary: It's been years since you first moved to Ambrose. You adjusted to life pretty easily, and now that you had your first daughter with Vincent, life was pretty much perfect.
A/N: Thanks for this request! It was a really nice break in between Smutmas, and it's honestly probably one of the cutest things I've written recently!! It's kind of short, so feel free to send another ask if you'd like a longer version or HC's :)
Tumblr media
Vincent hadn't spoken a word in all the years you knew him, yet the way he played with your daughter let you know that he loved her with every fiber of his being.
Vincenza--everyone called her Vinny--was a beautiful, ebony-haired child, just like her father. She had vivid blue eyes, a knack for getting into all sorts of trouble, and just enough awareness to gaslight her Uncle Bo into believing she was the most perfect girl to exist.
Vinny was in the garden, her little six-year-old hands on her father's face, his mask discarded to reveal his real face. You hadn't even seen it when he first got you pregnant--he took it off only in the presence of his daughter, once she was born. You weren't entirely sure why, perhaps it had something to do with the fact he wanted his daughter to see her father's face, but it was a sediment that you knew proved that he would never, ever, harm her.
Vinny was into flowers, her gardening skills allowing for a large variety of vegetables now grown fresh, including tomatoes, green beans, peppers, and a variety of squash that you really didn't want to ask Lester how he got his hands on. You also never asked Lester why he always seemed to have really, really good fertilizer, or where he got the squirrel he gave Vinny when she was born.
"Vin? Vinny?" You made your way to the two of them, your skin sunkissed in the Ambrose summer.
"Yes Mommy?" Your daughter held sunflowers in her hand, she was tucking them in braids she made in Vincent's long hair. "Look, daddy's pretty!" She giggled, and Vincent smiled, genuinely. You'd never seen him happier than when he was with Vinny.
"How's the flowers?" Vincenza pointed to the other end of the field, where a huge patch of yellow, red, and orange flowers lay.
"They grew! Mommy, I think Uncle Lester has magic dirt," She said the last part quietly, as if a secret between the three of you. Vincent had a playful glint in his eye when Vinny began to theorize why her plants grew better when Uncle Lester brought her bags of dirt.
"Maybe, or perhaps you're just very good at taking care of your plants," You sat on the grass, next to your husband. Vincent looked at you and smiled, the corners of his mouth playful as he pointed to his daughter. "She's adorable--just like you."
He blushed, his good half of his face a cherry color. You kissed his cheek, and your daughter followed suit, kissing the scarred side. Vincent smiled, and Vinny climbed into her father's lap, enveloped in him.
It was perfect, really. A happy family, a beautiful daughter, and a wonderful husband. Vincenza was your pride and joy, and Vincent was mutual in the feeling. The two of you were there to stay, your daughter growing up in a household of love and affection, her gardening habit growing to one day surpass the majority of flower beds at the house.

Baby's First Tantrum - Melissa Schemmenti/Female Reader
Melissa Schemmenti/Female Reader
Summary: A garden carrot and some earth lead the moms to deal with LuLu's first tantrum.
Classification: Domestic fluff
Warnings: None
Word count: +1300
Tumblr media
Unrevised
Formula and breast milk were quickly replaced by a variety of different foods, from fruit and vegetables to meat, occasionally light desserts and often pasta. This is Luca's diet and, to his moms' pride, he eats almost everything without hesitation. But that doesn't mean that the couple give everything or let him eat whatever he wants whenever he wants, they don't give sugar, candies, chocolate or anything with condensed milk, the first sweet he tried was a birthday cake in the first year of life and didn't seem interested. The boy has a great interest in vegetables in particular, taking the beans out of the pods, hunting for pieces of zucchini in the rice, eating pumpkins as if they were watermelon, having fun destroying the "little trees" aka broccoli with teeth, which may have helped his teething more than the dozens of silicone toys bought. He also likes fruit, bananas not so much, apples only in juice, but he loves citrus fruits, can devour an orange easily on his own and loves to crush tangerine slices in chubby little hands before eating it. Any pasta on the colorful plate will disappear in less than half an hour, without even needing help. Sometimes Aunt Kristen fills him up with pumpkin tortelli while no one is looking, his favorite and her most favorite crime. In short, since babyhood he has developed a good relationship with food, with different tastes, colors, scents and textures. It's no different with what's planted and harvested. Mel's mother keeps a vegetable garden at the back of the house, full of healthy tomato plants, bright strawberries, long-stemmed carrots, radishes, green beans and a dozen spices that make the Schemmenti's recipes extra special. It's a sunny Sunday after a rainy week, perfect for checking, fixing and taking care of anything the garden needs, and of course the little boy, who has just learned to run and jump, wanted to join in, exploring the environment and the places he couldn't reach before growing a few inches in the last quarter. There are a few toys that the other grandchildren play with too, flowers in different colors, ceramic decorations from gnomes to colorful frogs, but his main interest is to be around his moms.
"LuLu, which color is that?" the teacher asks pointing to the blue watering can in hand, seeing it as a great opportunity to teach him colors and new things.
"Bwue!" he shouts excitedly and shrilly, the way a toddler can "Sky is bwue!"
"Yes, sweetheart. The sky is blue." Y/N agrees, caressing her son's coppery hair, then puts the bucket hat on to protect him from the strong sun "And the trees?"
"Yewow!"
"No, it's green, like grass." she takes some grass from under their feet and shows it to him before putting it in his little hand so he can feel it better "Grass is nice, isn't it?!"
"Green..." he repeats.
Luca agrees, opening a big smile, one very similar to the other mom's, showing teeth. Green eyes sparkle as he plays with the small amount of grass, until a gust of wind snatches it away from him and scatters everything across the garden where it belongs. He looks at the scene with sadness and tears in the eyes, a cute little peck if it didn't mean imminent crying. Not only had he inherited his mom's tough and temperamental side, but also her sensitive side, the one she usually showed with family and friends. They had to be alike in every way, she thinks to herself as she lovingly caresses her five-month-old belly, wondering if their little girl will be like that too. Her wife quickly comes to the rescue, attracting attention by acting surprised as she pulls a carrot out of the ground, it's like magic for LuLu, who quickly forgets about the grass and concentrates on the vegetable, enchanted by it... and the brown thing around.
"And which color is that, bambino?" she asks as he approaches with slow and clumsy steps, there's no answer. Before she can say anything else, the carrot is practically snatched out of her hands, and he immediately tries to put the dirt-filled piece in his mouth, but is stopped by his mom "No, sweet..."
"Mama Mel, mine." the baby protests unsatisfactorily, clenching hands in frustration and frowning in an angry expression "Eat."
"You'll eat, but first we have to wash the carrots, sweetheart." Melissa gets up, putting the dirty gloves in the pocket of her gardening apron, going to the garden tap to do it.
"Mama!" he turns to the younger, pointing to the carrot that's moving away from him so that she can do something about it "Mine carrot!"
"LuLu..."
"No! No! No! Mine!" he now shouts scandalously while he watches the vegetable being washed "Noooo!" and continues as the teacher approaches, kneeling down to offer the food.
His agitation only increases with the gesture, Luca continues to shout more and more, like never before. Both try to calm him down patiently explaining why washing is necessary and that he can now eat. This is completely ignored during the child's tantrum. All the boy wants is the carrot as it was before and to eat the dirt together, no matter how much the moms insist that it might be bad for him, it doesn't matter, it's what he wants at the moment and the only thing that matters, his needs. It's not as if they haven't faced some of their son's scenes before, but never like this, on this scale when the boy starts throwing himself on the ground too. Hands and feet hitting the soft grass hard, hot tears running copiously and shrill screams make up the first official tantrum, with the bonus that he's getting very dirty in the process.
"LuLu, my love, please stand up." Y/N tries to lift him off the ground, without success, considering how chubby and strong he can be, her growing belly not helping at all with the task.
"Bambino, be a good boy! You don't have to cry like that..." Mel is a little harsher in tone, just like the one she uses when her students are making her lose hair or giving headaches "Look, the carrot is here, mama just took the dirt off, you can eat it now, sweetheart." she tries to point out, only making the situation worse.
"I want!" he shouts, standing in front of them "Mine!" and takes it from her hands, staring sadly.
"Earth is bad for your stomach, love." the younger explains once there is a space for it, and the crying stops momentarily.
"Carrots eat." even at less than two years old, he already seems to know how to argue "Me too."
"But earth tastes really bad, you know what it reminds me of? Chocolate, it tastes like chocolate." she tries to argue back, using his aversion to food and how the two things are almost the same color.
"And that's where the worms live, do you want to leave them without a home? We can't eat someone else's home, LuLu." the redhead helps, patting his back with one hand and wiping away the tears staining his flushed cheeks with the other "Right?"
"Right!" the boy agrees after thinking for a second and he smiles at them both, and they sigh in relief, then smile at each other.
He finally gives in and takes a big bite out of the vegetable, not managing to tear off as much as he wanted, but leaving a mark with his teeth and taking just enough to taste it. His eyes close in delight and the toddler flashes a huge smile. Without even remembering that a minute ago he was trying to eat earth, in less than five minutes he totally forgets what he wanted and what has just happened, Luca runs excitedly around the garden exploring every part that his sneaky little legs can take him and hands can reach, all the while eating pieces of his carrot proudly grown by Grandma. A little adventure in the garden on a late Sunday afternoon, the best family time
"Ready for round two?" Y/N asks as she sits on the garden stool, putting her hand on belly.
"Ready for her?"
"Nah, she won't give us any work. I'm talking about making LuLu take a bath, our son is so dirty."

with how much grogu wants a pet, can I request a cute story where reader is an animal/pet shelter owner that din meets on one of his longer pitstops.
they meet when grogu unintentionally helps catch one of the pets that got away from the shelter. din helps her out for as long as he’s there and persuaded by you (and a team up with his son) allows grogu to keep a pet which allows him to grow closer to you as he frequently calls you to ask question on how to take care of grogu’s new pet
thank you 💕 (and I also join in with the clownery 😂😭)

“Lillia, don’t look at me like that,” you scratched the loth cat’s ear before giving her a playfully serious look, “you’ve had enough snacks to last a week.”
She made a sound of discontent and curled up in her little window seat, flicking her tail. You couldn’t help but laugh at her, she was always so sassy. You went around your shop, greeting all of your animals along the way and giving them each a special treat. You didn’t keep many pets in the shop, only a few that you’d found and rescued, waiting for the perfect person to come and adopt them.
“You’re looking extra colorful today Isa,” the small, bright blue and green bird-like creature chirped happily before jumping down from her perch and landing on your shoulder. You stroked her beak before holding up some seed to her, “a special little treat for you today.”
From across the shop you heard a small howl from Jado as he waited for you to greet him. You picked up a treat just for him. When the floppy eared and wrinkly hound saw you walk up, he wagged his tail a few times, a hard thump thump thumps on the tile floor. Crouching down you gave him a few pats before offering him the bone, “there you go, my best boy.”
Once you made your rounds to the rest of the animals, you went back to the front and propped the door open and flipped the sign in the window. It was a cool spring morning, and the streets were ready bustling with people. You liked that Anbediha; it was always so full of life with plenty of people coming and going.
You expected that particular day to be just like any other day. You had no clue that it would somehow become one of the best days of your life.
It all happened that afternoon when Sheiba, the small but sneaky little vulptex, had managed to outsmart (you’d never admit that though) you and sneak out of the shop. She was terribly sweet but also shy and you always worried about someone using that to take advantage of her.
“Oh no,” was the only thing that managed to get out as you looked at her empty and the open shop door. Normally she wasn’t a runner but she did enjoy the cool spring days and playing outside. Granted, you had promised to take her out later…later just hadn’t meant her going by herself. You quickly sprang into action though, not wanting anything to happen to one of your friends, “you guys stay here and keep an eye on the place and I’ll find Sheiba, okay?”
The rest of your small brood looked at you, blinking with wide eyes as you sighed softly. You hoped they understood what you were saying; they often seemed like they didn’t really know what you were saying but they definitely did. They often gave themselves away.
You grabbed the keys and closed the shop, flipping the sign in the door to say back soon! before stepping into the street to begin your quest to find her. It was already busy out and your heart constricted at the idea that she could be scared, “alright, if I was a vulptex where would I go?”
She liked to play and run around on your nimble legs, so you figured the park was a logical place to look. You started to briskly walk over there, before deciding to just run instead. You weren’t even sure how long she’d been gone…all the possibilities…but no. You weren’t going to panic just yet.
Much to your chagrin, she wasn’t at the park or in the surrounding area. You walked through the streets, calling out her name and hoping desperately that she’d just turn up. After over an hour of looking and you were still empty handed and ready to cry. You walked around to the food district, hoping that maybe she just wanted a snack.
At first you didn’t see her, but when you felt like your heart couldn’t sink any lower, you heard it. She had a soft, sweet little bark and you’d know that sound anymore.
“Sheiba?!” you started rushing towards the source of the sound, ready to fight if you needed to, “leave her alone!”
But…the situation you stumbled upon was entirely different than anything you had expected. You blinked a few times, almost as if trying to decide whether this was a dream or reality, “a Mandalorian?”
The man - or so you assumed - turned to look at you and you held each other’s gaze for a few moments before you heard a small cooing sound. You shifted your eyes away from the shiny Mandalorian to the Sheiba and found a small creature standing next to her. Relief flooded through your veins at the realization that she was okay, and then curiosity took over.
You’d never seen anything like the small green creature before, with its sweet face, big ears, and little brown robe. It reached out up and gently patted Sheiba’s side, gurgling away happily; whatever he or she was, they were definitely a child of sorts. The vulptex turned to the creature and licked its face before wagging happily.
“Is she yours?” the man’s voice, you’d been correct in your assumptions, cut through your thoughts as you turned back to him. He seemed so broad and intimidating but you could tell that he wasn’t going to hurt you. You nodded mutely before opening and closing your mouth a few times, “she was at the park but followed us. Wasn’t sure she had an owner.”
“I…it’s a long….you’re a Mandalorian?” you hadn’t meant to blurt out the question but you were so curious. You’d never seen one in person before and equated them to mostly myth and legend. You heard him make a small sound of amusement before he nodded.
“I am,” he confirmed as your face warmed up in embarrassment, “the kid, he’s my…Grogu…?”
“He’a Grogu?” you hadn’t heard of that species before.
“No, his name is Grogu,” he explained as the kid you now knew was called Grogu chirped happily at him. You swore you could feel the man’s expression softening for him, “he’s my…kid.”
“Grogu,” you repeated softly as you waved at him, “it’s nice to meet you. And you too….?”
The man hesitated for a moment, shifting his weight between his feet almost as though he was weighing his options, “Din. Djarin. Din Djarin.”
“It’s nice to meet you Din Djarin,” you smiled softly before offering him your name, “Sheiba - she’s my vulptex. Well, I rescued her and she’s staying with me for now until she finds the perfect home. I kind of…rescue the strays and patch them up.”
“That’s kind of you,” he stated simply as you tried to shrug off the butterflies that had begun to flutter around in your stomach, “not many people do that.”
“Well, I’m just passing along the favor,” you couldn’t help but wonder what he looked like under the mask, not that you would ever ask, “looks like you did the same.”
“Just passing along the favor,” he repeated softly and you couldn’t help the smile that crossed your features. A few more moments passed in which Grogu played with Sheiba, who despite her shy nature seemed taken with him. You didn’t necessarily want to leave but you decided that staying would have been worse. You weren’t supposed to find yourself gravitating so much to someone you’d barely met, “I guess we should let you get back.”
“Y-yeah,” you agreed, feeling rooted into place and decidedly not wanting to go, “I should get back to my shop. Come on, Shei - say bye to Grogu.”
Her ears flattened as she looked over at her new little friend, not wanting to leave him just yet. Funny how you were both feeling the same way, but after giving him a few nudges with her nose, she walked around to you and stood at your side. You reached down and scratched her ears in what you hoped was a reassuring manner.
“Come on kid,” Grogu seemed just as disappointed as Din picked him up, “I know.”
“Umm, I don’t know if you’re just passing through or not but if he wants to see her again or say bye or something feel free to stop in,” were you doing this for her benefit or yours? Both. Both worked, “it’s the shop between 6th and main - you can’t miss it.”
“Thank you,” and oh. You really liked the sound of his voice.
“Thank you for looking out for her,” you held up your hand in a meek little parting wave, “b-bye.”
You turned around to walk away before he could say anything, already feeling the disappointment in saying goodbye set in. You’d never experienced that with anyone or anything before. You hated it.
“I know,” you could sense her disappointment too, “I know.”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
A few days passed, this time without incident, before you saw Din and Grogu again. Truthfully you hadn’t been expecting to ever come across them again, but the pair practically burst into the shop. You were restocking some shelves and almost fell off your stepladder at the sudden commotion of Grogu and Sheiba seeing each other again.
But you didn’t fall or have to worry about any sort of injury because a strong pair of hands grabbed your waist. He set you back down, thoroughly planted on two feet again as you shared a look, “hello there.”
“Sorry for the…excitement,” he shrugged and you could sense that he was nervous, “he wanted to see his new friend again.”
And I wanted to see you. But he wasn’t about to say that just yet.
“Just in time,” you beamed at him and made his knees feel weak, “she’s been moping about for the last few days and I know it was because she was missing him.”
“There’s two peas in a pod,” he laughed, warm and rich and lovely, as he looked at the unlikely duo playing together, “never seen him so taken with anything before. Except frogs maybe…but that’s a whole other story.”
“I’d love to hear it sometime,” well then…your mouth was working faster than your brain and you wanted to wither away, “I just mean…if you’re planning on being around for a while or something. I dunno, I didn’t mean to…it’s just…you know what? I’m shutting up.”
“I’ll be here for a while.”
Apparently Din was going to be hanging out on Anbediha for some time. That was news to him as much as it was news to you. He hadn’t made any decisions until he’d seen your face light up when you mentioned wanting to hear the frog stories. And suddenly his mind was made up.
“Oh,” you wondered if he was smiling back at you under the mask. He most definitely was, “that’s lovely, Din. I think you’ll really like the city and there’s so many things to do, and if you ever need a tour guide, I’d be more than happy to help.”
“Yeah?” you nodded eagerly, “I’d like that too.”
“And it’ll give Sheiba and Grogu a chance to hang out,” you looked over at the two of them and your heart melted. You could get used to the idea of having them in your life regularly, “and then you can tell me all those stories. I’m sure you’ve got plenty!”
“I do,” he agreed with a small chuckle, “plenty of those.”
“I think we’re going to be great friends, Din Djarin,” the small you offered him definitely made him want to be more than friends.
“Me too,” he reached up over and touched your cheek with a gloved hand, causing pleasant shivers to run down your spine, “me too.”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Turns out a while meant almost six months. It was much longer than he had anticipated, but he kept finding reasons to delay his leave, but he knew, and suspected that you knew as well, that you were the main reason. Not that either of you were complaining about that; your friendship had quickly blossomed and bloomed into more, more, more.
Unfortunately, you were well used to the fact that the best things in life never seemed to last. You just hadn’t expected the reality of it all to come crashing down so far.
“We have to leave in the morning,” he’d stated softly and you wondered if it was as hard on him as it was on you. It was. He sighed heavily, a trait you’d become accustomed to, “we won’t be for too long. I’m sorry.”
Or so he hopped.
“Whatever are you sorry for?” you asked softly, “it’s not like we didn’t know this day wasn’t coming. You were supposed to leave a while ago and now it’s that time.”
“We’ll come back,” he fully intended on keeping that promise.
“Why?” you desperately wanted him to say it, “there’s no reason for that. You were just passing through.”
“We’ll be back,” he insisted firmly and that made your heart extremely happy, “I promise.”
“I’ll be here,” you promised in return, “I’m not going anymore.”
It was the small, sad sound that Grogu made that caught your attention as you and Din looked over at him and Sheiba. The two of them had become the best of friends and you knew that it would be hard for them to be apart.
“I hate the idea that they’ll be apart,” Din mused quietly as you nodded, “I wish in a way that he could stay or she could come. They’re so attached.”
“Well, I know you’re not going to leave your kid behind,” you nudged him gently with your elbow, “and I don’t blame you. I know how close the two of you are after everything you’ve been through. But I have an idea.”
“Oh?” you could sense that he was raising an eyebrow at you, “tell me.”
“What if you took her with you?” you suggested; despite knowing you’d miss her like crazy it somehow felt like the right thing to do, “that way they’ll be happy and you’ll have to come back. Because I’ll want to see her again.”
“Just her?” he joked and you knew both the answer to that.
“Totally,” you blinked back a few tears that had welled up, “just her.”
“We’d make sure she comes back safe and sound,” he’d do anything in his power to keep Grogu and Sheiba safe.
“Good,” you whispered, “I really want her back safe.”
“She’ll be back.”
“I know,” you couldn’t help yourself as you pulled him into a hug, armor and all, “come back safe, Din.”
He hugged you back and you could hear him sigh lightly, “soon.”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
It had been close to a year since they’d been gone. Not that you were counting or anything…you were totally counting. Despite them being gone, you’d still managed to get to talk to them regularly, especially when Din had questions about caring for Sheiba. Sometimes you thought he might have just been calling to ask some of his silly little questions as an excuse to talk to you. And that’s totally what he was doing, and he had no shame in that. He missed you way more than he ever thought he would. More than he ever thought was humanly possible.
But he’d promised you that he’d be back and he was a man of his word. And you wanted to believe him, even if you lost a little bit of hope day by day.
Your hope was restored one random, stormy afternoon.
Business had been slow due to the weather and you’d only had a few customers stop in. You’d pretty much closed up shop for the day, but stopped when you heard the bell over the door twinkle.
“Oh sorry, I’m closing,” you turned around to apologize but stopped at the sight of your newest customers. Before you could say anything else, you ran over to him and threw your arms around him without hesitation, “Din!”
You relaxed when you felt him hugging you back, unbothered by the layer of armor between the two of you. When you pulled back you found the small creatures at his feet, “Sheiba! Grogu!”
You crouched down and hugged the two of them. It felt so good to see them all, so right. It didn’t hit until now just how much you’d missed them. Terribly so.
“I promised we’d be back,” it sounded like he was getting choked up as well, “and here we are. If you want us to be here, that is.”
“I do,” you insisted, “I really do.”

✦ FLOWERS AND RIVALRY ➞ 【ELLIE WILLIAMS】
Tumblr media
pairing: domestic!ellie williams x reader
summary: just some good ole’ neighborly rivalry.
warnings: ellie is just being adorable, you’re the best girlfriend in the world, this kinda shit is just a daily occurrence with her
a/n: just a lil somethin’ to keep you babies satiated while i'm working on chapter four of “marley and me”! enjoy :)
Tumblr media
You watched as Ellie plucked a cigarette from her back pocket, her hands covered in dirt all the way up to her elbows. Buying a house was a lot of work- you knew that going in- but what you hadn’t expected was for your girlfriend to get so competitive about the upkeep.
“The neighbors across the street put in new flower boxes. . . did you see them? Anyway, I ran to Home Depot and picked up a few things.” Her definition of “few” and yours must be completely different, because the second that she opened up the bed of her truck you nearly laughed right in her face. Planks, bags full of supplies, and more flowers than you could even count were all shoved into the tight space. A few strands of her newly chopped hair were sticking to her brow with sweat. It was almost as though she could sense that you were about to say something, because she flashed you that wide smile of hers. Her freckles on full display in the early evening sun, green eyes blazing as she stared at you. You shut your mouth right up, only realizing how pussy whipped you were the second that you began jogging back into the house, already grabbing her an ice cold beer from the fridge.
So there you sat, legs stretched in front of you as you lounged in the rocking chair on the front porch. You would offer to help, but you were prone to clumsiness. While Ellie was good with fixing things, you were very good at breaking them.
She lit the cigarette, closing her lips around the filter and going straight back to work. Her arms and upper back glistened with sweat, cheeks flushed from the sun. You watched as she blew out a plume of smoke from her nose, utterly enchanted by her. She probably smelled of sweat, dirt, and sunscreen. . . but she was perfect.
The two of you were friends for years before making things official. The both of you had pined after one another for what felt like ages before she finally made a move. Maybe that was why the both of you were still so smitten after four years. You cracked a small smile before standing up, moving over to the top step of the porch so that you could grab the beer bottle, weighing it in your hands.
“I’ll go get you a fresh one.” And without her even having to say anything you breezed back into the house, eager to at least offer some sort of assistance.
You opened the fridge, pausing as you heard her voice sound from outside.
“-thought the front yard needed something.”
You rolled your eyes, grabbing the beer and twisting the cap off before sauntering back in the direction of the front porch. The wooden floors of your home creaked under your bare feet as you made your way towards the front door. The neighbor was standing in his yard, hands on his hips as he spoke. Ellie had stood up and moved away from her project, motioning towards what she was planning on making a large flower garden.
“The ole’ lady also wanted to plant some vegetables this year, so I’ll be working in the backyard tomorrow. You and your husband should come over once it’s all finished. You guys hosted dinner last time. It’s our turn.” Ellie told him matter of factly.
You schooled your face into neutrality, fighting off the urge to scoff at her statement. You had mentioned wanting to grow beans and peppers in passing almost a month ago. The neighbor- Steven- nodded his head, squinting his eyes against the blaring sun.
“Yeah, Yeah. Cole and I would love to come over. I remember you telling me about changing the tiles in your guest bath, and we wanted to come see.” He said, already moving back towards his front door.
Ellie was beaming with pride, the cigarette she had been smoking tucked between two dirty fingers. “Sounds like a plan.”
It was only once Steven was back in his home that Ellie turned to face you, eyes wide as she discreetly pointed in the direction of his house.
“Did you see that? He was practically boiling with jealousy. He told me last month that he was redoing the kitchen, and that smug look on his face-”
“I can’t believe you’re getting in a pissing competition with the sweet gay dads across the street.” You whispered, shaking your head in disapproval before handing her the beer.
“It wasn’t me! They started it!” She whisper-yelled, trailing after you like a wounded puppy.

AMOR A PRIMERA VISTA
GEKKO (MATEO) x reader pt.1
pt.2 (smut)
summary — you've despised cliches since you were a teen. love at first sight? lame. cafe shop love story? not even believable. getting someone's number after only 5 minutes of talking to them? who even does that? someone letting you stay at their house because of something going wrong? weird and borderline risky. but. . . maybe your life is a cliche.
note — i know i haven't wrote in a while but i'm back! and this is a little bit different from what i usually write so sorry for my other followers! anyways, i had to write about gekko because i love him so much and the lack of fics about him on anything is criminal. i haven't wrote in so long so i might be a little rusty. this is probably going to be three parts, and this is more of a backstory to the relationship, so it's pretty slow paced
w/c — 3.3k
not proofread '' sorry for any mistakes
Tumblr media
you slumped over the counter, glancing up at the clock. it read 4 o'clock, and you let out a loud groan. you still had two hours left until you could finally go home and relax with a cup of hot chocolate.
it was warm inside the cozy little cafe, but you knew with a look outside that the walk home was going to be freezing and you dreaded it. rolling hills of white were all over the streets and sidewalks, and the sun was beginning to set as the streetlights began to dimly light the roads. little crystals were falling rapidly, and you knew that eventually it'll turn into a snowstorm.
no one was inside the cafe at the moment, everyone most likely staying at home away from the stormy weather. as you turned to make yourself a drink, the bell above the door alerted you to a new customer.
"hello! how may i help you?" you locked eyes with the newcomer.
woah.
he was attractive, in a way you couldn't pinpoint. maybe it was his hair, a lime green that you would've never thought would look good on anyone but him? or was it his eyes, a bright hazel with a playful twinkle in them. maybe it was how he brightened up the whole cafe full of muted colors with his vibrant clothes and bright aura.
you could already tell he has a good personality.
you shook yourself out of it. you're over thinking it. you never analyze people this hard.
you watched as he broke out into a smile. damn, even his smile was cute.
"can i have a cup of orange juice?" you nodded and grabbed a cup to write his order on it. you thought it was cute that he wanted orange juice, but you also pushed that thought out of your mind. why would it be cute he wanted juice?
"can i also have a vanilla bean frappe?" he added on once you set his cup down.
oh. that means there's someone else.
you begun over-analyzing everything again. obviously with those looks he'd have a girlfriend. how do you know it was a girl? because who else would drink that drink. you know you were being stereotypical, but there's just no other reason he'd come in here alone during all this snow.
you didn't know why it bothered you so much, but it just did.
no way you were already crushing on someone you haven't even had a real conversation with.
you wrote his second order on the cup and asked, "is there anything else?"
"are you okay? you look mad. did i do something?" he said instead of answering your question, his eyebrows furrowed in worry.
"no!" you shook your head, not realizing that you smile had been wiped off your face. "i was just thinking."
you turned around to grab the orange juice that you had premade that morning from the fridge.
"are you sure? it looked like it was something i said."
"no, you didn't do anything."
"then you must be thinking of something pretty bad. is there something on my face?" he began moving his fingers around his lips and cheeks to get off some imaginary debris.
"there's nothing on your face," you laughed as you put the lid on the orange juice cup and got to work on the frappe. "it's perfect."
you meant to say "perfectly fine", but you were so focused on the machine in front of you, you didn't realize that you didn't quite say what you intended to say.
"perfect?" you could hear the smirk in his voice as you realized what you had told him.
"wait, i meant like, perfectly fine, y'know?"
"so my face isn't perfect?"
"you know that's not what i meant," you hurriedly tried explaining yourself.
"i'm just playing with you, chica," you let out a little smile at the spanish and finished his second drink.
"here you go. one orange juice and one vanilla bean frappe." you slid him the drinks and two straws.
"you're getting this to-go, right?"
"nah, i'll drink it here. it's too cold outside anyways."
"these are both for you?" you were almost relieved about the fact he was going to drink here. of course, that doesn't completely mean that he doesn't have a girlfriend, which is highly unlikely.
"you'll see," he winked at you as a cute yellow thing appeared behind him.
"what is that?" you exclaimed. not in fear, but in curiosity.
"he's wingman. he loves vanilla bean frappes, so i decided i could get him one today."
you almost laughed at how you would've never thought this drink would be for that.
"i thought it was going to be for your girlfriend or something like that," you admitted.
"girlfriend? you're funny chica. i don't have one."
you could jump with joy right now. you knew that you usually don't act like this and think like this, but if you're doing it now, there had to be something special about this boy.
you hummed as he slid into a stool at the counter so he could still talk to you while you worked.
"was that what was bothering you?"
he was smart, but you weren't going to tell him the truth.
"no, of course not! i just met you, it'd be weird if i was upset by that."
you watched as wingman devoured their drink somehow, while the man kept his eyes on you like he was examining you. you flushed and began to make yourself a cup of hot chocolate, not able to wait two hours to the end of your shift.
"that's true," he agreed as he sipped his orange juice.
before the silence afterwards became awkward, you piped up.
"what's your name?" you questioned.
"mateo. but some people know me as gekko. what about you, chica?"
you told him your name and he smiled, saying it back to you.
"i like it. it fits a cutie like you."
you felt your face turn hot and you turned away to make sure he couldn't see.
"thanks," you huffed as you tried making your blush less noticeable.
mateo let out another laugh and you noticed yourself smiling at the noise.
after you had successfully calmed down and your cocoa was ready, you went over to sit next to him.
wingman let out a noise, and you saw that he was already done with his frappe.
"hey amigo, i'll get you some more later, okay?"
it seemed to be content with that answer, and continued gnawing at the straw.
"is it always this quiet in here?" mateo asked.
"not usually. i think it's because of all the snow outside." your gaze went over from his eyes to the window and you nearly gasped.
"holy shit, there's no way i'm getting home in that." there was nearly seven inches of snow on the ground, and the snow was obviously picking up speed.
"how far do you live from here?"
"it's like a 15 minute walk. but i don't even know if i'll be able to walk outside at this point."
"i could walk you over to my house." he offered. "i know it sounds weird because we just met, but you're not going to be able to make it home in this weather and my house is just less than a block away."
you contemplated his offer. you could tell it was obvious he wasn't a murderer, and he was most likely the same age as you. plus there was no way you were getting home tonight and you didn't want to stay in the cafe or make your friends attempt to pick you up. plus you could hang out with mateo a bit more.
you shrugged. "if that's really okay with you."
Tumblr media
the two of you talked all the way until 6:00, you not having to serve any customers due to the inclement weather.
you had already locked everything up and wiped everything down, and now you were outside in a huge fur parka, which did nothing to stop the brutal cold wind from slapping your face.
thankfully, you had an extra jacket for mateo, who would've froze to death in his regular clothes. he led you down the road, and the two of you continued talking about things such as school and work. apparently mateo couldn't disclose much of his job, but it seems like he really enjoys it.
the two of you had made it to his house, and you sighed in relief when you felt the gust of hot air caress your face.
you made sure not to trail any snow into his house, majority of it already melted by the time you had hung your jacket up on his coat rack.
he led you to the living room, and you plopped down on the couch as he said, "i'll be right back. i'll get you some clothes so you can take a shower." you nodded and he left, leaving you to glance around the room. there were pictures of him with a blue and yellow haired girl, and also another one of him with an equally beautiful woman with piercing purple eyes.
before you knew it, he was back with a stack of clothes.
"this will probably be too big on you, but i made sure that it was my smallest sizes.
"thanks," you beamed.
"i'll show you where the bathroom is. it's connected to my room, so i hope that's okay."
you acknowledged him with a tilt of your head and followed him up the stairs.
"i'll leave you to do whatever you need to. just call me if you need anything." he shut the door behind him once the two of you had made it to the bathroom.
you quickly took off your clothes and stepped in the shower, finally able to take a long hot shower. not wanting to make his water bill skyrocket with a one hour shower, you hopped out after twenty minutes, only to realize something.
"fucking hell," you grumbled. you forgot to ask for a towel. from what you could see, the towels weren't being kept in the shower room.
"mateo?" you called out loudly.
you heard a "yeah?" in response.
"i forgot to grab a towel!"
you swore you heard him giggling. then you heard a knock at the door.
"here, i'll just hold the towel out." he said from behind the door.
you opened the door, snatched the towel, and closed it.
"thank you," you voiced.
"no problem, hermosa,"
you've never bothered learning spanish, so you noted in your head to search up the meaning of that later.
the clothes he gave you enveloped your body, the t-shirt going all the way down to your knees and the sweatpants falling off almost every time you took a step.
awkwardly holding the waistband of the sweats, you walked out the bathroom to see mateo lying on his bed scrolling away at his phone.
"are those too big?" he turned his attention to you.
"just a little," you sarcastically said. "but it's fine since i'm going right to sleep."
"not gonna eat anything?" he asked.
"i'm fine. i ate a while ago and i'm not hungry."
"here, you can sleep on my bed. i'll sleep on the couch."
"it's your house. you can sleep on the bed. i've already inconvenienced you enough by coming here."
"you haven't inconvenienced me at all." he shook his head. "fine. we can both sleep on the bed, if that's fine with you.
"as long as you're not sleeping somewhere uncomfortable, that's fine with me."
"i'll go take a shower. you can get going to sleep first."
you agreed as he scoured his drawers for clothes and then went into the bathroom, leaving you in his dark room, the only source of light a lamp on the nightstand.
you made yourself comfortable under the blankets, closing your eyes while snuggling into the pillow, getting a whiff of mateo's cologne.
you stopped yourself from taking deep breaths, not wanting to be a creep by enjoying the smell.
"i barely know him," you murmured to yourself. sure, you had been talking for more than two hours and you're staying at his house, but that gives you no reason to be acting like you've known him for months and have had a crush on him for that long.
a few minutes passed and you perked up at the sound of the door of the bathroom opening and closing, and then a weight on the mattress.
"did i wake you up? sorry," he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck when you turned over to watch him get into the bed.
"no, you're fine. i was still awake." you lied. you were close to going to sleep, but some part of you doesn't want this night to end.
"remember how i said your face is perfect on accident?"
"mhm," he laid on his side so that the two of you would be facing each other.
"i wasn't lying. i think you have a good looking face." that was your terrible attempt at flirting. it might've been bad, but you could see the look of surprise on mateo's face and his cheeks turn a rosy pink.
"means a lot coming from a pretty lady like you," he responded. "if you work at that cafe i might have to come over a lot more."
now your face was turning red.
"i'd always love seeing you come in." you let out a small yawn.
"go to sleep. i'll be here in the morning."
you knew he'd be here in the morning, but you didn't want the night itself to end. you still had so many questions to ask him.
you wanted to know him.
but against your will, your eyes shut and didn't open even when he brushed a piece of your hair behind your ear.
Tumblr media
the smell of pancakes woke you up.
you realized that you were in the spot mateo was sleeping, and your arms were taking up the whole bed. stretching, you slid out the bed and padded down the stairs and into he kitchen, seeing mateo humming to himself while cooking.
"you can cook?" you asked, and mateo jumped a little, before realizing it was you.
"good morning to you too. and yeah, i can. does it seem like i can't?" he teased.
you acted like you were thinking about his question.
"hmmm, maybe." you put your hands up, shrugging with the corners of your lips upturning.
"i'm a really good chef, believe it or not. wingman loves my food."
"if wingman loves it, then it must be good." you said as he handed you a plate of eggs and pancakes and you took a seat.
you took a bite and nearly moaned. "this is so good."
"i told you," he winked as he turned off the stove and sat down in front of you.
the two of you ate in peaceful silence, music from the radio the only thing breaking the silence.
"can you dance?" he suddenly questioned.
"not really. never had to."
"i should teach you how to dance bachata. it's easy."
you knew that you were terrible at dancing, and whatever he said was easy was probably not.
"i don't know..."
"i'll teach you. then how about we watch a movie? i don't think you'll be able to get home soon still. the snowstorm is still going on." you totally forgot about the snowstorm. if it was still going on, there was definitely no way you were making it back to your house.
"fine. but i warned you."
he led you to the living room and began teaching you moves, usually having his hands on your hips to tell you to emphasize a move or to lead you through it.
you knew that he saw your blush, and you swore that he was smugly grinning because of that.
"i told you i sucked at this," you groaned after trying to learn a move for ten minutes.
"you're decent at it," he assured you. "you just need a bit more practice."
you focused on him, and that's when you realized the small space in between you two. that made you turn even more red.
"something wrong?" he noticed.
"it's just a little hot in here." he probably knew you weren't talking about the heater.
"let's take a little break then."
you laid down on the couch. "isn't it crazy how we went from you just wanting some drinks to me at your house learning how to dance bachata?"
"we could be here doing something else but..."
"something else?" you shot up. you knew exactly what he was talking about.
"nah forget it. i have some other things i need to do before we get to that point."
"other things?" now you were really curious.
"you'll find out after the snow melts."
"can i have a hint now?" you were eager to know what it was.
"a date."
Tumblr media
it's been four months since you had first met.
the first date the two of you had was amazing. he took you out to a carnival, where he got you a big teddy bear and you got to ride a ferris wheel for the first time in your life.
you also got to meet his other little friends, dizzy and moshpit.
the two of you had been on multiple dates, once every two weeks during the first month turned to once a week the second, until eventually you guys were hanging out every day.
you decided that today was when you were going to confess your feelings.
mateo had convinced you to learn how to skate two weeks prior, and today you wanted him to help you perfect the kickflip. it took you all this time to learn how to ollie, and you think you're ready for the next level.
the skatepark was empty, and the sun was setting, leaving a golden hue on everything. especially on him.
it made his tan skin look radiant and his hair stand out even more than it usually does. you knew that if you looked into his eyes that the speckles of gold would be sparkling in pools of chocolate.
the two of you made it to a relatively unobstructed and flat part of the park, and he began by seeing what your kickflip was at right now.
"all you need is some more height and a bit more power, and i think you'll be able to do it." he encouraged you.
you followed his directions, getting close to landing it every time you tried.
you fell once, but he quickly picked you back up while the two of you laughed about it.
the sunset turned from a painting of colors into a black to navy gradient, the stars shining brightly if you squinted enough.
after almost two hours, you were ready to quit trying, but mateo wanted you to do one more.
"this is the one, i can feel it."
"whatever you say, hermoso."
you attempted one last time, trying your hardest. and before your eyes, the board successfully flipped from under you and you landed cleanly on the board.
you quickly jumped off, running towards him. he met you in the middle, and you exclaimed, "i did it!"
"you did it ángel," he smiled.
you looked up at him, and he noticed you lifting your arms up to his neck.
"creo que te amo (i think i love you)" you whispered.
he chuckled. "those spanish lessons have been paying off, huh? me estás volviendo loco (you're driving me crazy)"
he closed the gap in between you finally granting your wish of being able to feel his lips.
you pulled him as close as you could as he rested his hands on your hips. neither of you could get enough.
he pulled away. "you have no idea how long i've been wanting to that."
"i've wanted to do it since i first saw you in the cafe." you said breathily.
"why did we wait this long?" he shook his head as he went back in for a second kiss

i hate this sm i'll make up for it w smut in part two i swear

Can i request platonic rottmnt little sibling chubby with all of the brothers HC?
Reader is same age as Mikey but what makes them different is they're on the plus size, their ninpo were made to be support class (and yes am thinking of rpg games).
This makes reader insecure about themselves; they're not " helping much " and they believe they're fat and not strong or skiny or have toned muscles like the rest of the mad dogs which put them down.
However the 4 brothers think otherwise and they have their own way to show their love & affection to reader/p
yess!! WE LOVE CHUBBY PEOPLE !!! i am such a green bean tho akfsjdns
also, i don’t play rpg games a ton, but after looking it up it appears to be a healer kinda? sorry if i got it wrong !
Tumblr media
r a p h
is actually really surprised to learn youre insecure about your size and ninpo
he’s pretty big but doesn’t really have problems with it ??? of course he doesn’t really realize the difference between ‘beefy af’ and ‘le chubby’ lmao
he wasn’t entirely sure what to do at first bc he’s never seen this before
and with his sibling?.?? afjsjsj
when he realized/you told him he tilted his head in confusion stared at you before bursting out
“you don’t like your body??? why???”
“raph has a big body and he don’t care!”
didn’t understand at first
“you’re the most perfect little sibling raph could want !”
”no matter what yer size!”
kinda felt bad, he felt like he should’ve noticed sooner since he was the Big BrotherTM
made sure not to be accidentally offensive about it just in case
when one of those lose-weight-or-no-one-will-love-you thought inducing ads would come on raph would block the tv
“DONT LISTEN TO IT!! YOU ARE PERFECT NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SIZE!!!”
l e o
ok so. the lil shit probably teased you abt it in the past. but NOT in a rude or offensive way. like affectionate . well he tried to come off affectionate anyways …
he’d like just poke at your chub n stuff y’know?
he wasn’t really trying to be offensive he just found it interesting since all his other brothers were skinny beans, and raph was just super beefy
but oh my god
BOI FELT SO BAD WHEN YOU TOLD HIM YOU WERE INSECURE ABT IT
”…what?”
feels like it’s all his fault
apologizes so much abt it he’s the one the needs reassuring afsjdn
he wasn’t the main reason of your insecurities , but his teasing hadn’t helped it… yknow?
he reassured you there was nothing wrong with your body OR ninpo and no reason to be insecure abt it
tells you his past ‘teasing’ wasn’t meant to be rude in any way and apologizes
he hasn’t teased you abt it for awhile anyways, but still makes sure not to be rude abt it in any ways whatsoever
if one of those lose-weight ads comes on he’ll tell you a stupid joke or something to move your attention away from it
still feels bad abt the teasing tbh
d o n n i e
he’s the second most surprised
i mean, he knows that people feel insecure abt their chub sometimes thanks to the internet but he wasn’t expecting one of those people to be you
i mean, you weren’t even that chubby in his opinion
uses logic to reassure you that your body is fine in every way
same with your ninpo
”your ninpo is very important and crucial to the team, y’know-“
he will not have his little sibling being insecure >:(
if he notices you staring at yourself in the mirror with a less-then-positive-face on, he’ll drag you away from it under the guise of wanting to show you his latest invention
not good with emotions but he’s doing his best ok
if those lose-weight-and-you’ll-finally-be-perfect ads comes on he’ll either distract you somehow or cover your eyes with his battle shell arm
m i k e y
was confused at first, not understanding what you meant
when he finally understood he gasped
his twin?? disliking their body/ninpo???? UNACCEPTABLE
cue the doctor feelings speech
does absolutely everything in his power to make you feel good abt yourself
will draw you SPECIFICALLY highlighting your pudge bc there is nothing wrong with it and will take that to his grave
sends you body-affirming stuff at random times
will paint his nails with you whilst reassuring you you’re absolutely beautiful the way you are ✨
a lose-weight ad?
he will DRAMATICALLY scream at you not to watch it-
”Y/N! DONT WATCH IT!! ITS FULL OF LIES-“
-before hugging you and dramatically putting his hand to his head
”LIES!!!”
it’s such a funny distraction technique you can’t not burst out laughing
Tumblr media
thanks for reading!! hope you enjoyed!!!

| fluff | fem!reader | rebekah mikaelson/reader | vampira | posted on wattpad | unsolicited | mention of jelly beans |
Tumblr media
Spring was her favorite time, the bright sun, the loose clothes, flowery dresses, and the scent of roses in the air, it was enormous perfection.
When you became a vampire in the eighties, you were seventeen and met a knowledgeable vampire at a school dance.
You should hate high school, however, being transformed by a man who just wanted a hobby opened new doors to your life, gave you pleasures you could never describe.
And even if you wanted to return to your human life, you knew that wasn't possible, and even if it was, you had already gotten used to what it was.
One of the biggest changes was your taste, drinking blood was a great difficulty that you had to deal with alone, learning to control yourself at night, avoiding taking a life as much as possible.
You stopped being a night vampire almost ten years later, when you saved a witch, who decided to give you a daylight ring, something most wouldn't do.
Being blessed with sunlight after years brought a new shine to your life, new reasons to continue no matter how silly it may seem.
You've also gone back to testing new deadly meals, searching for something that doesn't taste so "dead" to your sophisticated palate, and you can't find anything better than jelly beans.
It was strange, you remembered eating when you were still human, but you never paid full attention at the time.
But as a vampire, you experienced it first in Florida, on a spring day with the sun on your skin protected by the ring of light.
They were a specific type, not the hard-shelled ones that stick to your teeth and make you bored of chewing, but the soft ones with sugar.
The flavors vary, the green one was a little sour for you, not good enough, the orange one seemed sweet, almost like paper, the love you was almost like the green one, however, its sourness was very little and the taste was cloying and the purple one seemed very sweet.
His only salvation had always been the red, strawberry jelly bean with little sugar crystals surrounding it, the flavor exploding on his sensitive palate.
It wasn't too sweet, nor without sweet, fortunately it didn't taste like paper and even in so many decades it never became cloying.
You would easily say that red jelly beans were your salvation, the only thing you considered good enough, the only sweet you loved and that went beyond any salty food you didn't despise.
Kol Mikaelson made jokes about your taste, he used to say that red jelly beans couldn't hold a candle to green ones, and you always countered by saying that he only thought that because you were as acidic as he was.
" Don't move too much. " Hope's childish voice scolded her and out of the corner of your eye, you could see Klaus give a smile, proud of his daughter.
" Yes, ma'am. " you replied, straightening your posture one last time.
The ten year old's small hands worked on her hair, surprisingly making a braid that most wouldn't be able to do, but Hope was always way beyond her time.
You were the smartest child you had met in decades, which without meaning to be presumptuous reminded her of yourself as a child.
Your mother used to say that you could become president without any effort, and your father always said that he was tremendously proud of you and your grades, even when he was drunk.
It was strange that he could always be so affectionate with you, drunk or not, when with your mother he always attacked you every time he drank.
You blinked a little faster, trying to push away the thoughts of the people who are gone, regardless of your relationship with your parents, you would miss them forever.
You were in the garden of the Mikaelson Mansion, a remote part of the city, where normally the originals were solving problems, however, on weekends like those they took time off to spend time with family.
Family.
you had met Elijah before all of them and when you learned what he was your initial thought was that his life had come to an end, even though the connection they had was undeniable.
It wasn't romantic at all, but it was totally superior to that, and as time passed you met Klaus when Elijah called you, seeking help to protect Hope.
You weren't that old or very powerful a vampire, but you could never deny a friend's request, especially to protect a child.
Even though initially Klaus didn't look favorably on her and you can't help but imagine that he would easily have a dagger made for you, avoiding having to kill her the conventional way, they eventually become friends.
It was no different with Rebekah, you met her when she arrived in the city, and they both got along absurdly well, almost as if they had known each other for years.
" You better listen, you don't want to ruin my painting, love. " stated the hybrid and you frowned looking at him.
"It's telling us? " ́ asked and he gave a smile.
"But of course, I have a perfect sunset behind you, and my daughter and my best friend are at an exceptional angle, I wouldn't miss that for anything. " he replied, and you smiled.
"Okay, but I want image rights." he replied jokingly, and Hope smiled.
" Me too. " the child said and Klaus made an offended face.
" My goodness, this is a plot. " he stated in disbelief.
" You see, brother, at some point in a thousand years someone would have to surpass you. " said Elijah, going down the porch steps, so he could admire both the girls and his brother's painting. "This is magnificent.
" Thank you, at least someone is giving me some support. " stated the hybrid and you laughed, rolling your eyes.
You turned your attention to the front, where Rebekah was watering some plants with the help of a ruler, you were wearing light clothes, a white tank top with no wrinkles and dark fabric pants, boots on your feet that fortunately weren't damaging the lawn.
You turned your attention to the different types of roses, while you felt your hair being touched by Hope, who from time to time asked you to hold a strand of hair.
You can never be more content with your life, however, the long period you sat on the lawn in Hope's care and being painted by Klaus next to the child and the magnificent sunset, you had to admit needing sugar in your stomach. blood.
Their spectacular red jelly beans.
The vampire searched the house's closets with her eyes wide open, perhaps things weren't going as planned.
How could a perfect weekend not have red jelly beans?
You closed a closet door catching a glimpse of your reflection in the mirror, the perfect braid in your light hair and the greenish eyes showing your disbelief.
The vampire went to the room looking at each jar of sweets, unfortunately they were all the ones Hope used to eat and not you.
Maybe you should start cutting out some sugar, because consuming all the jelly beans you brought on a Saturday was absurd.
Well, it wasn't entirely your fault, you had shared most of it with Hope, hiding it from Hayley's eyes, who always talked about sweets before main meals.
You were two big jellybean traffickers.
" Auntie, what are you doing? " Hope asked, rubbing her eyes after waking up in the middle of the night.
The girl had gone to sleep a few hours ago, and given that you normally didn't sleep due to your vampire ability, you and the majority of the house were still awake.
" The end of the world, my dear. " you replied, approaching the little girl and placing a kiss on her cheek. " But don't worry about that, I'll solve everything myself. " you stated and the child nodded.
"Are you sure?" he asked, his voice a little groggy with sleep.
" Yes, little angel. " he assured, picking up Hope, who laid her head on his shoulder, yawning. "Now, you will go back to bed, and when you wake up, auntie will make your favorite pancakes.
"With blueberries?" She asked as you opened the door to the child's room, which was next to Hayley Marshall's.
"Exactly," she agreed, placing the child on the bed. " Sweet dreams, sweetheart. " you whispered, kissing the little girl's forehead.
"Good night, auntie." Hope whispered, taking a few seconds to fall asleep under the gaze of the vampire who was smiling broadly.
"You're a light sleeper." whispered Rebekah, at the door and the vampire agreed, leaving the room in silent steps, leaving the door open.
" I think you heard me searching the house. " confessed the vampire.
" It's hard for someone not to hear it. " joked Rebekah. " Kol said you were about to start World War III.
" If I go without my candy for a long time, yes. " you said, and the original was sure that it was easily possible.
Rebekah knew that without the little reds you liked you could easily become someone else, you were a faithful servant of the jelly beans, and without you it would be as if your kingdom had collapsed.
Sometimes it seemed like you loved treats more than anyone else.
"You, a little wine will help you." suggested the vampire, giving him her arm.
You looked at her thoughtfully and made a childish pout that made the original smile.
Giving in, you linked your arm through Rebekah's, returning to the kitchen.
Rebekah Mikaelson didn't sleep all night, just like you, you spent the night in front of the TV, drinking wine and criticizing the films that were showing.
Your criticisms border on professional and if you were one of the producers of the films, you would dare to say that you would cry over what was said by your friend.
Friend.
Even years ago the word sounded strange, because even though I was always so open to you, being by your side whenever I needed you, listening to you, the feeling of friendship never belonged to heart of the original.
Almost eleven years, that was how long you had known her, much less than your brother Elijah, and the same amount as Kol or Klaus, however, you knew that her feelings for you were totally different from theirs.
Eleven years was too long, Klaus always said you never did anything slowly, not even falling in love, he judged you for that, but almost eleven years had passed and you were sure you were in love, but those words never left your mouth .
Maybe it was the years of love that, true to you, weren't always, that brought more problems to your life than you could count and it was undeniable how much it shook you.
Pretending a life changed by going to schools and crashing dances, acting as if it belonged to him when that wasn't the truth.
Worldly life didn't matter so much now, you wanted to have what was taken from you back, but with your family here you were at peace and it was inevitable that you wanted it to last forever.
And in a way it would last.
You were preparing your morning coffee using Rebekah left the house, leaving a warning to your brothers that it wouldn't be long.
New Orleans wasn't far away, and when you arrived in the city you knew the exact places you needed to go to get what you wanted.
you would try differently this time, but you wouldn't deny it any longer.
He had no problem falling in love quickly, better than not loving at all.
You twirled a strand of your golden hair around your finger as you analyzed the painting, your gaze wandering over each detail, reinforcing an expression of suspense and criticism.
" If you keep making all this suspense, I will compel you to tell the truth. " Klaus stated from the other side of the studio, you smiled, not knowing for sure if it was in fact just a joke.
" I took vervain. " he replied, but it wasn't true and from the look Klaus gave you you knew he knew that.
You didn't take vervain, you never did, it was your vote of confidence in them at the beginning, and that extended until now, and even with the original hybrid's provocations you knew that none of them would ever compel you.
" I thought it was amazing, daddy. " Hope stated, and Klaus smiled happily, kissing the top of the child's head.
" Me too, it was amazing, and you know how critical I can be. " you replied and Klaus nodded satisfied.
"Of course, I've seen you say things that would cause films to be banned from the catalogue." he replied and the girl smiled, winking at you.
You left Hope with Klaus, who shows you other old paintings, kept in the residence for a few years.
You walked through the corridors humming a song, until you arrived in the room where Kol was centered between the TV, not so focused on the program that was playing.
"Did you happen to see Rebekah?" he asked, missing the vampire some time ago who, according to Elijah, had gone to the city, and the original turned his face towards you.
"You arrived just now, darling, you're outside." he replied. "Lollipop?" He offered, showing the lollipop he had taken from the ones Hope usually consumes.
"No, thank you." He thanked you, refusing the sweet that was sickening to you.
Kol knew this, and was teasing him about missing his adorable jelly beans.
you continued on your way, passing you through the kitchen, where you saw Elijah and Hayley working to make a blackberry pie, which looked delicious.
You stole one of the berries under the hybrid's gaze, who looked at you, forcing a playful "ugly" look, and you smiled happily, leaving the back door.
It was close to dusk again, and you couldn't be happier to witness a sunset again.
The greatest beauty of immortality for you was how many sunsets you could admire.
He saw Rebekah a few steps away, and walked towards the vampire sitting on the tree swing, the light wind ruffling the magnificent doctored strands, highlighting the immortal beauty even more.
Being an immortal, you would easily say that Rebekah was Aphrodite, but it would be an exaggeration to say that the Goddess was as beautiful as you.
Rebekah Mikaelson was Aphrodite.
You sat next to the original, adjusting the flowery dress similar to the day before, and kept your gaze forward, watching the sky starting to take on a pinkish color, and a slight orange.
" Spring is coming to an end, that's a little depressing. " he said, looking at the vampire who smiled.
" At least the color of summer will make you a little happier. " Rebekah argued and you nodded knowing it was true.
Even though spring was your favorite, you loved all seasons, especially here when the sun was even brighter.
"You spent the day out, Elijah said he went to town." She said, paying attention to the original's eyes, which seemed to show some fear. " All good?
" I did something, at the time it seemed like a brilliant idea, but now that you're here I don't know if it can happen. " you he said, leaving the vampire confused.
"What do you mean by that, Bekah?" asked the young woman and the vampire turned her head, taking something that was hidden in the corner of the swing.
You stared at the glass jar with your mouth open, the material seeming to shine a little from the sun's rays reflecting off it, the intense red becoming worthy of all your admiration.
" I brought you a gift. " said the original, and you took the pot carefully, afraid that with all your emotion you could go overboard in terms of strength.
It was a glass jar of jelly beans, all as red as you like, with sugar crystals all over them, and the heart shape, which wasn't normally what you bought, however, it was still amazing.
Hearts.
You looked at Rebekah giving a wide smile.
"That's amazing, thank you." She said extremely excitedly, and pulled the vampire into a hug that she immediately returned.
" I knew you would like it. " you said, still hugging the young girl. "But it's just... I have to say something.
you turned away from you, waiting for the original to continue, you held the glass jar tightly and the original moistened her nervous lips.
" What is it? " you asked softly, eyes narrowing in confusion.
" You know me, I never do anything slowly, ever. For years I lived on the consequences of love, on the desire for a life that I couldn't have. " you said. "But when Hope and you arrived at the family practically together, I saw that I could have a normal life, even though I was still like that... You showed me a way to live like a mortal, even though I wasn't one, with your impeccable taste, reviews that would make film producers cry and an overwhelming addiction to red jelly beans.
You smiled, surprised by what was said to you.
" Well, you helped me with that too, every second you were by my side. " you said, feeling warm at heart being with you.
" It's not just that. " said the original. " For almost eleven years, I tried to mask my emotions, I tried to change them, to find a way to not get hurt, but I was always wrong. " you stated, and you felt the touch on your hand on the bottle.
"Do you mean to say that...
" I'm in love with you." shot Rebekah, interrupting the girl. "I know it's confusing, that we never had room for that, but I couldn't help it, I didn't plan to love you that way. But it's impossible for me not to love you, all your beauty, your passions, your way, everything in You enchant me, princess jellybean.
You froze over her words, your green eyes fixed on the woman who said she loved you, your heart so hot and racing, beating as if you were simply alive.
As if you were a mortal.
" You make me feel like a mortal. " you said, placing the jar of red jelly beans between you. " But that's not bad, because I've never been so alive.
" I think not having love in an immortal heart was the worst punishment anyone could face. " said Rebekah. " But having is the meaning of being alive.
You moistened your lips, feeling your immortal heart racing, alive with the unique feeling that passion could give you.
Rebekah brought her face closer to you, her gaze falling on your red lips and kissed you, in a unique, sweet and passionate way.
An explosion of feeling took over her body, you brought your hand to the original's face, upset that it took so many years to realize something like that, but grateful that this day had arrived.
You discovered that the flavor of Rebekah's red lip gloss was now your favorite candy too.

so idk what country you’re from but here in the us it’s thanksgiving and i’ve been thinking about what thanksgiving with aaron would be like as a couple 🥰 mainly how he’d be so willing to help if he’s around (and ready and available to talk you down anytime you get even slightly overwhelmed because let’s face it, there’s so much to do and to arrange and to make) and you’d assign him little jobs or tasks in the kitchen and like for example, he’d be in charge of putting the pumpkin pie together or keeping an eye on the turkey or smth. it’d be the sweetest holiday ambience because at every possible moment he’s being so affectionate with you— to the point where it’s distracting— and he’s just following all your directions and treating you to soft kisses in between and wearing an apron that says kiss the chef or smth cheesy like that and he’s just your handsome man :’)))
AH this 😭😭😭 i am from the us and believe me thanksgiving with him has been on my mind all day </33333 and!! happy thanksgiving to all who celebrate!!
cw: food
hehe the hotchner household is hosting this year, for the first time, and you are stressed beyond belief 🥺 you just want everything to go perfectly. you’re afraid you won’t get everything done in time, even though you were up at the crack of dawn, and you start getting SO overwhelmed :(( you’re practically in tears in the kitchen, not knowing what to do next and you’re losing track of all the things you need to do simply because there’s so much. aaron walks in to grab something or whatnot, and he immediately notices how stressed you are :(( AH so he pulls you into his arms, rubs your back soothingly, and gives you the softest look ever as he asks you what you need him to do 🥺
as if you already weren’t thankful enough for this man 🥺🥺🥺 you put him in charge of the side dishes- like the green bean casserole or the sweet potatoes while your focus is on the turkey. as the two of you work in the kitchen, he’s randomly giving you kisses and providing words of encouragement- that everything will be done in time, it will taste amazing and overall will be perfect <3 he even rounds up jack for an extra pair of hands, heheh jack happily fills up the basket of dinner rolls and sets the table for you <3 and before you know it, everything is practically finished and you are so so relieved 🥹
ugh he’d just be so lovey the whole day 😣😣😣 he always has an arm around you or is touching you in some kind of way, he’s wearing a cozy sweater, constantly stealing kisses, asking if he can get you a drink or something, and during dinner his hand keeps finding yours under the table 🥹🥹 giving it loving squeezes and glancing at you with such love in his eyes <3333 hehe the holidays totally bring out a clingy side of aaron. he just has to be near you in one way or another and he just wants to shower you in endless affection <3333
and during dinner, he leans over to whisper in your ear what an amazing host you are and that everything was wonderful. he also throws in how he’s most thankful for you 🥹 ugsjdjd the sweetness in his voice brings tears to your eyes and you’re literally just lost for words, but your eyes tell him all he needs to know 🥰 he gives you that special smile of his that’s only reserved for you <333
