Migliavacca Mansion (1890)
Napa, California
Designed by local architect William H. Corlett in the Queen Anne style, the Migliavacca Mansion was constructed of select redwood and Italian slate shingles between 1890-93. The Mansion originally stood on Division Street, but in the 1970's was moved to 4th St. The home has a three-story turret, and a ballroom on the third floor.

Dream home
Carlton road, uk
I'd love this house to be the inspiration for a Tom Hiddleston fanfic. I could picture him living here. Don't know why

Today’s adventure in photography land sees me at this location, a grade 2 listed historic building with both the Reality So Subtle 6x12 pinhole and the ‘Blad. Am shooting with both colour and black and white.
Continuing from the ‘discipline’ I outlined in my first post, am concentrating on just this subject to explore its possibilities in case of a future trip. That is fairly likely as, not only is the walk to it pretty phenomenal, but have come when the surrounding fields are more or less the same colour as the building!
Separation of tones will be difficult to achieve from the corn field but perhaps from the grassy field, not so much.
Sad to see that the locals seem to entertain themselves by graffitiing the place up, I hope I’ve managed to avoid the worst of the words in my images. 😡
