My Fair Lady: Early Romantic Era Hairs

♫♫♫♫ (sorry I now feel the feminine urge to include a Regency song in everything, ignore me but it sounds better as you read.)

Alright, I made these Early Romantic Era (1820-1910) hairstyles and decided why not release them. They are named after characters in my sims story, Isabella, Selina, Aurelia, and Susan (3 of which have not been introduced yet). You can look at their aesthetics if you want here. There are no 1820s hairstyles so I saw it fit to make some for my story. I say these are 1820s Hairstyles but these can work from about 1817-1827. The two without the Apollo knots can work for as early as 1815. The two with the Apollo knots can work as early as 1817.

I have snatched pieces of hair from @the-melancholy-maiden and @buzzardly28, credit to them for amazing pieces of hair I can work with.

UPDATE!!! - ASSASSIN'S CREED UNITY SET FOR SIMS 4 -

NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

I am delighted to announce that myself and the very talented @annadedanann have completed our first cc set together and are making it available to download. This is the updated version of the original file! There was a slight shine and brightness in the previous mesh which Anna has spent time and effort fixing. The new updated CC now works as well as any EA mesh.

Each item has been taken from various buildings in Assassin's Creed Unity and redesigned to fit into the Sims 4 as build/buy objects. We hope these items will allow simmers to broaden their creativity and show off their building skills.

I wanted to post some stills from Montgomery's flashback, since in the post, we see them flash by quickly, and they're pretty obscured.

These were flashbacks to Montgomery and Donna's youth, when they fell in love. I know we hate to see it because DOLLOW FOREVER but the photos still turned out so pretty and romantic so I had to share ♥

This week was a pretty big deal for Red Wolf Fury. We got two posts in a row, (go check them out if you haven't yet!) which isn't usually common for this series! Despite them not getting much attention, I spent a ton of time on those posts and really love how they turned out 🥺

I don't post a lot of original content, but that's possibly going to change. I just spent the last couple of days cc and mod shopping all saved in "medieval" folder. By medieval, I mean anything that looks vaguely medieval or belongs in a ren faire and open a new save. I'm going to put most of my other cc and mods out of the way so I don't destroy either my game or computer because that medieval file I just finished making as over 1500+ cc and mods in it, so with what I have now, it would crash my game before I even opened it. Wish me luck!

Following on from the simple modesty of the 1300s, female hair in the 1400s became a lot more elaborate thanks to the addition of hair pieces, ribbon and other decorations. Braided styles evolved into very detailed and decorative concoctions. Styles also became more flowy and romantic, often with curls framing the face. CC links under the cut.

The Crumplebottoms | An Unequivocal Bond

Inseparable since childhood, Dowager Countess Agnes Crumplebottom and Lady Agatha Crumplebottom have truly never known a day apart. Together, they have had many a grand adventure over the last few decades. From evading unscrupulous suitors to dancing the night away in opulent ballrooms, they have seen each other through life's most joyous and saddest moments. Agnes inherited a sizable estate in the quaint village of Henford-on-Bagley. With Agatha by her side, Agnes established a prestigious finishing school, Miss Cordelia's Academy for Young Ladies. Families send their daughters from far and wide to become accomplished ladies under the tutelage of the Crumplebottoms.

So where have I been...somehow got sucked into historical gameplay (specifically regency era) and having so much fun building out my own historical save file. I'm trying to commitment to SimBridgerton Challenge and so far so good...

Truthfully I've been very much inspired by @janesimsten incredible mods as well as amazing tumblrs like @regencysims4, @moon-simmers,@inlovewithregencyera, @peebsplays and @notsooldmadcatlady to name a few!

I've tried to incorporate some of my favorite townies and loved building out the Crumplebottoms story. I'll be posting more soon!

My Fair Lady: Late Baroque Era Set

Please READ ALL OF THIS before downloading. I will not answer an ask if it was answered here. Read.

This is a late 17th-century/early 18th-century Baroque Set. You will get 25 items for women, girls, and toddlers! Towards the bottom, I will give you tips to start a Baroque Era Save (people to find on gallery and men/boy attire).

I would like to thank @the-melancholy-maiden @linzlu @sychik @batsfromwesteros @vintagesimstress @cringeborg @acanthus-sims @stereo-91 and sims 2 creator maya40 for the stuff I've used to make all of this. I'm sure there are more creators but I cannot recall their names off the top of my head. DM me if you see a piece of your mesh here so I can give proper credit. I would also like to thank @belleophile for testing these items for me.

The stuff in this set can work for the late 1660s-early 1710s.

WHAT YOU GET: You will get 3 hat hairs, 1 for each age I listed above, 2 Fontanges for adults that work with the hat slider mod, 4 adult hairs, an adult baroque hair comb piece, 1 adult baroque sash accessory used for court and portraits, 1 ribbon hair piece to go with a hair, and 13 dresses (2 1670s/1660s mantuas, 1 1680s-1710s Habit used for Hunting or Riding, 1 1690s-1710s court dress used for court occasions, 1 1690s-1710s jeweled portrait dress and 1 1660s-1670s portrait dress with sash, and finally 7 1690s-1710s mantuas used for everyday, formal, and seasonal wear. I've included 1 dress for a child and 1 dress for a toddler as well).

SMALL NOTICE ABOUT THE PIECES: The hairline on the hairs will not behave correctly if you have head shape presets on the sim. I've tried fixing that but no luck. If I manage to fix it, I will update it. The Hat Hairs are found in the HAT category and are not compatible with hairs you MUST download the hair files that I'll be including with them. This being said, if you remove sim clothing while they have the hat hair on, it removes the hair override too. It's strange, but just put the hat back on and it should fix. The comb, and ribbon accessory are also found in the hat category. The Sash is found in the GLASSES category. The 1660s-1670s Mantuas are not compatible with shoes, leggings, or socks. I've removed these options in CAS tools so you shouldn't have to worry about clipping. The Barbara 1670s Dress has a sash meshed onto it, and because of this does not behave well with bigger bodies. The same applies to the Henrietta 1670s Dress, as the pearls don't behave with bigger bodies. Same with the Sarah 1670s Dress jewels. The 1690s-1710s Mantuas will have small gaps if the sim is plus-sized. I have tried to fix these issues, but no luck. The hat hair fontange looks a bit gray without reshade or a lighting mod. @northernsiberiawinds has some good lighting mods. Other than that, it's fine. Below, is how it will look white with a lighting mod.

Everything has AT LEAST 20 swatches. Some things have more. There are only a few things that don't have this many swatches.

Did I forget the 1680s mantua..? Oh no! Luckily, I've included this surprise 1680s dress you'll be getting as well for reading all of that. So 26 items! (here you can see hat hair fontange without lighting mods installed)

BAROQUE SAVE TIPS: These dresses will work for winter, summer, and traveling wear. Just add a fichu for summer wear or a shawl. For winter wear just add some long gloves and a cape. For men's stuff from this era, @stereo-91 has recolored some acanthus outfits which can be found here. I'll show you how they look below. I also recommend going to his gallery (ROTAMETERS91) as he has AMAZING builds for this era. For a little boy, @acanthus-sims has some stuff that can work.

Antiquated Brindleton

An 1890s Decades Challenge Save File

This save has been almost a year in the making, but it's finally here! It includes a completely rebuilt Brindleton Bay inspired by historic New England towns and set in the 1890s. This save uses a light amount of historical cc and most of the packs.

Includes:

Eight new residential lots

Seven new community lots

Six new households

Builds and households are all located in Brindleton Bay. The world is intended to be historically accurate to about 1890, though some liberties for functionality have been taken.

Builds in other worlds have been deleted. The necessary buildings, like dorms, active career lots, and the high school, have all been left in place.

Townies have been evicted, but not deleted, as I prefer EA townies to fully randomized townies.

If you’d like more period appropriate townies to add, the lovely @jewishsimming has some great historical ones to download and @cowplant-snacks has an amazing tutorial on how to manage your townies with MCCC.

REQUIREMENTS: I have all the packs except Batuu and some of the kits. I didn’t limit myself when building. I don’t have everything listed out here, but I will be uploading all the lots and households to my gallery, so if you’d like to know specific pack usage you’ll be able to check there. If you load in and things are replaced or missing and you think it looks obvious feel free to message me, I’m always happy to try to help you find something else that fits! This save includes historical CC, some is included in my download in folders and some you will need to download from the creators directly. The CC required is listed and linked below, you need to download these linked pieces in ADDITION to the included cc folders.

DOWNLOAD: There are five zipped folders to download, four of which contain included cc, and one which includes the save itself.

Download the "AB_SaveFile" folder, unzip it and simply move the file inside to your saves folder inside your Sims 4 folder (where your mods folder is located).

The included cc is in four folders (to allow for easier upload/download) for build, buy, clothing, and hair. Simply download the folders, unzip them, and place them in your mods folder.

After this you should be good to load up your game and get playing, let me know if you run into any issues, I'm happy to try to troubleshoot. My biggest mistake was to think I can do specular map. Spoiler: I can't. But I did "something", so if to someone it's a little too shiny - just make the Specular blank in S4S. It's a fullbody outfit. I'm a boring person so in default pants are black (and pallete is what I call "tired"), but there is an overlay in "tights" category and a tie overlay in "necklaces". I love little details so I made three variations of pocket watch chain. Maybe these things would look better if they were bigger but I don't really like how over exaggerated some objects in game so it is what it is.

Important! Watch chains were made specifically for the uv layout of this particular outfit. They WILL NOT WORK with any other outfit due to diffuse map overlap.

If you have any problems with my cc tell me. I have no intention to ruin someone's game and will try to fix it.
