I don’t know… I can imagine samurai and cowboys overlapping, but somehow the Wild West feels like it should be in the 1700s. The fact that there were still cowboys about in the 20th century- 20 years before Gatsby, 30 years before Hitler, 60 years before Martin Luther King… they just definitely don’t feel Victorian/early Edwardian, ya know? We had cars. Britain looked more or less the same. Yet there were still cowboys. Wild.
