beta designs / old concepts

because its relic radiation’s 2nd anniversary today, i thought id bust out a lot of earlier versions of characters and talk about their progressions and my thoughts on them. ill also be putting (a silhouette of) the first version of the next teammate in just for fun.

this is gonna end up a long post (and it will have...somewhat painful old art...) so i will be shoving this under a readmore

JULES: jules has gone through many stages that all sort of encapsulate what kind of comic rr was meant to be at the time.

the earliest version of rr, which came before i even hit the halfway point on my actual game run, revolved around jules as a confident, arrogant young noble who was set on symbolically “conquering” the other cities in sinnoh (via gym battles). rr back then was clearly much more conventionally fantasy, and this version of jules couldn’t be further from Real Jules now.

subsequent versions of rr were more sci-fi-oriented and even involved jules having only one eye (a trait and its implications that were relocated to astraea). the themes of paranoia and discomfort that current rr is saturated with started to manifest at around the stage that the yellow drawing took place in.

also, you can see that i picked the peacoat idea back up for jules’ prinplup form.

LUCE: while luce and jules were the first characters to be made for the comic, luce hasn’t changed that much. she used to be angrier and had a different backstory, but i wrote her to be a rowdy but loyal friend to jules, and she’s stayed that way. even her design has barely changed.

RUE: rue is the third teammate, but i actually developed her way after deirdre and marcel. i sort of didn’t know what to do with her. her first concept was a genuinely kind, sweet older sister type, but i realized that was boring. i changed her so that her niceness came out of effort and restraint, and that inwardly, she was a much pettier person. i thought this was more interesting for her interactions with jules, too.

DEIRDRE: deirdre started out as a very quiet/silent but eccentric type, then very quickly jumped into the stoic and deadpan version of her there is now. i linked her and rue because i knew i’d be getting a full team before gym 1 and wanted to make that go easier narratively and because i liked the idea of their personalities clashing.

MARCEL: marcel was always a cowboy, but he started off as a much more unpleasant person. he was in about his 30s (his intro in jubilife was supposed to be as a “fake-out nuzlocke dad”) and a much greasier, unkind, and cynical person. when marcel was aged down to make it easier for him to connect to jules and luce, he got nicer.

FERRIS: his first concept was as a very blandly nice high school track runner (almost solely because his ability is Run Away). i didn’t get anywhere with him until rr became a darker, mystery-oriented comic--then i knew i could tap into that with him.

DANNI: danni actually began as a more abrasive ex-friend of jules’ named duncan. i didn’t like him very much. instead, i went for what i thought of as the opposite of a stereotypical turtwig, making her an agile and confident (but troubled) skater.

ANNABEL: like danni, she started off male. he also sucked so i changed him. rr’s rowan started off a little softer than current rowan, so i wanted her personality to really clash with his and for her to not simply follow him around the region agreeably as a little assistant. i wanted her to be unpleasant for rowan to deal with most of the time, honestly, because how the both of them would interact with each other would say a lot about them.

ROWAN: rowan is one of the characters who underwent the most changes, both personality- and design-wise. he had about 5 different species, starting with snorlax (because in pearl rowan sends out a munchlax in the opening sequence) and including kadabra and hypno.

rowan was originally going to be a more sarcastic but more agreeable person. i decided that this didn’t mesh with the sort of part he has in the plot as an extremely driven, hardened person. the sarcastic and agreeable side of him is still there, but it rarely shows now.

rowan ended up so different from canon rowan that he was the only character i had keep their in-game counterpart’s name. i literally just needed people to recognize what character role he was playing and name-recognition helped a specific part of his writing, too.

AMOS: amos was actually one of the earliest characters invented for the comic, too. in his most original form as a cyrus equivalent, he was a very tall, confident, charismatic speaker with a sour side. i decided to give that to a different character who hasn’t been in comic yet (actually, wait: in one panel).

the main change he’s had is in temperament; his early forms were quiet and kindly scientists who could come off as sickly. i wanted to throw readers off with his kindness towards the party and how he might not come off as very stereotypically physically imposing, but i was overdoing it. amos is softspoken now, but armed with a terrible temper and baggage.

also i made the honchkrow the cyrus equivalent instead of weavile because i like birds

ASTRAEA: i couldn’t find a picture of it, but astraea was originally an almost brutish, violent champion. she had no flair and no mind for strategy. i scrapped that once i realized it really didn’t fit a “layers of clues and fear” vibe; i wanted someone who could really play into the themes and atmosphere of the comic.

as one of the main antagonists, i wanted her to be really different from amos. (though she used to be old) she’s young, she’s disrespectful, she’s showy, but she’s keen enough to back it up. without getting into spoilers, i wanted the antagonists to have different ways to relate to and interact with jules in terms of both theme and personality.

WHITNEY: whitney had a bunch of design changes, but his core stayed the same: a witty, sociable guy with a secret weighing him down who jules remembers in shining terms. the current iteration of whitney is probably the most troubled one.

NEXT TEAMMATE (god i wish i could make this image smaller) : this was the first drawing done of the next teammate, who is one of the characters in the whole comic who has changed the most.

they went through around 5 different completely different personalities and designs, and almost as many backstories, and have now squarely, finally arrived at a stage that is: not even close to this image at all.

so i thought it would be fun to share this as they’re coming up soon, and so you can compare them when they’re finally here :)

Just random shit about Finnish hockey boys

I watched some missed nhl without a map episodes and listened to a Markus Nutivaara interview podcast this week. I'm too lazy and busy to make separate posts of them so here it goes.

Markus Nutivaara, Columbus blue jackets

His teammates call him Hillbilly after he's told stories of his life in Haukipudas, Finland. Someone has even written it on his shower sandals, Hill on one, Billy on the other.

He wore ripped jeans in a hotel lobby on an away game trip. John Tortotella saw it and gave a mean look and a bit later the team captain came to nuti and said he should get rid of the jeans or the whole team will wear a suit through the rest of the year. Markus immediately went to a jeans store and got a pair with no fashionable extra ventilation holes

Rasmus Ristolainen, Buffalo Sabres

Has his own gym in the bottom floor (basement?) Of his 3-storey house or apartment because he likes to work out a lot but doesn't want to go to the arena 2 hours early every day, thinks it would make him look like too much of an ass-kisser. He's usually quick to leave after games too bc He doesn't do the post game workout there but at home in his own gym.

Has a huge walk in closet plus additional clothes racks in another room and a huge collection of shoes he's never used. "I like clothes," he Says, and admits it's too easy to shop online when he's bored.

On jack eichel's hair: "it's badass. I'd do the same if mine was like that. (Curly, apparently) It's the best. "

Has lots of friend outside hockey in Buffalo

Has flirted with Ovechkin in a game, or so it sounded to me. "He's one who likes to take and give big hits. There's no chirping or no bad blood about it, it's rather that he smiles in a special way. I remember I one game, we'd had some physical play on the ice and after the shift we locked eyes from our respective benches. He was on the other end of theirs and I was in the other end of ours, so there was a row of helmets between us and all the coaching staff, but we looked at each other and he smiled this special smile he has in those situations." Q: "appreciative?" RR: "Definitely that, appreciative."

On Dahlin: "He's a boy, a kid, reminds me a lot of how it was to be a rookie. Huge talent."

Pokémon Rutile Ruby and Star Sapphire are ROM hacks for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The level curve is drastically steeper. The game is balanced around use of the EXP Share, which allows for explosive growth. For example, the average level for Wattson’s team is Lv41. The player is expected to hit Level 100 at around the eighth Gym badge. Disabling the EXP share is not recommended.

While grinding is always possible, the curve is such that you’ll be approximately even with (or slightly under) all enemy levels if you complete the optional content such as side routes. If you skip fights, you’ll probably be underleveled!

Conversely, you might find yourself overleveled if you use the Lucky Egg, Experience Gain O-Powers, and/or the Trade Bonus.

All trainers’ teams have been changed to provide greater challenge. This isn’t just a global “level buff”, each team was individually created. They often have very different Pokémon than in OR/AS. Rematches have also been completely changed, with all Rematch trainers eventually getting six Pokémon.

All Gym Leaders have six Pokémon. Starting with Wattson, they also each have a Mega Evolution.

Trainers battled throughout the game might also have Mega Evolutions.

Double Battles are more common in the world.

Rotation, Triple, and Horde Trainer battles are found in the world.

Throughout the course of the game, you’ll see every fully-evolved Pokémon in the teams of enemy trainers. You’ll also see every Mega Evolution.

Since you can’t just rely on being overleveled, it is recommended to EV train your team using Super Training or Horde Training. The hack makes it easier to do these methods in the early game.

Wild Pokémon Changes

Post-game Foreign Pokémon are available from the beginning of the game!

Pokémon rarity within areas has been adjusted!

Hordes have been optimized for painless and early EV training!

Every species can now hold Items in the wild!

▶ Wild Hold Item Information

Every species is now capable of holding at least one item in the wild.

Every species that has a Mega Evolution in its line has a 50% chance of holding its Mega Stone in the wild.

Magikarp holds Heart Scales 50% of the time. It holds Gyaradosite 6% of the time.

The six Power Items are available early on for ease of EV training. They are found 50% of the time attached to the following Wild Pokémon: Zigzagoon (Power Anklet) Whismur (Power Weight) Wurmple (Power Lens) Geodude (Power Belt) Poochyena (Power Bracer) Tentacool (Power Band)

Pokémon that evolve through use of a hold item have a chance to hold that item in the wild.

Builds: Three ways to play!

Legit Build: All Wild Pokémon are 100% legit for trade and will not appear as “hacked” by any legitimacy testers. Post-game foreign Pokémon are unlocked from the start, and rarities and Hordes are adjusted.

Leveled Build: Wild Pokémon are the same as in the Legit Build, but are leveled up to keep pace with RR/SS’s harsh level curve. A quick adjustment in PKHeX (editing Met Level) will make them 100% legit.

679 Build: Wild Pokémon are altered so that every non-Legendary non-Starter species is available, at the same level as the Leveled Build. Legendary encounters are not changed in this or any Build. Click here for the list of altered encounter tables.

Poké Mart and Item Changes

Poké Mart lists have been consolidated to replace redundant items!

Sacred Ash is available in standard Poké Marts, and Revives have had a drastic price increase to discourage their use in battles. Sacred Ash functions as a Max Revive for the entire party, but can only be used outside of battle.

Competitive consumables, such as Focus Sash or Air Balloon, are available in standard Poké Marts!

Slateport Market is now the go-to place to purchase competitive hold items like Leftovers or Life Orb.

The Pickup table has been drastically overhauled with many valuable items!

Prices of certain items have been adjusted, sometimes drastically. Only some price changes are listed here.

▶ Price Adjustment Information

All Poké Balls and Repels cost 90% less.

All Vitamins cost P125.

Revive now costs P20,000. This is so that using Revives (in the form of Sacred Ash) outside of battle is perfectly fine, but using a Revive in battle to cheese a fight is something with a serious cost attached to it.

Full Restore now costs P7,000. The reasoning behind this is the same as behind the Revive. Unless you’re using it in battle, there’s no reason to use it over a Max Potion (or a couple Hyper Potions) and a Full Heal.

▶ Detailed Item/Mart Change Information

Standard Poké Marts no longer stock Antidote and other single-status relief items or Repels less than the Max Repel.

Full Heal is available from the beginning.

Sacred Ash is available for P1000 after obtaining the second badge. Sacred Ash functions as a Max Revive for the whole party, but cannot be used in battle.

Consumable competitive items like Focus Sashes, Sitrus and Lum Berries, and Weakness Policies are available in standard Poké Marts. They may need a certain number of badges to unlock.

Premier Ball is now available in Poké Marts.

Honey is available in Poké Marts for P50. This will allow you to Horde Train without using Sweet Scent.

Slateport Market and other special shops now sell competitive items. Notably, the Leftovers, Eviolite, Rocky Helmet, Expert Belt, and Life Orb (among others) are available from the Incense Girl in Slateport City.

PP Up and PP Max are available in the Lilycove Department Store.

Evolution Changes

Pokémon that normally Evolve via trade now have additional methods for Evolution. They can still be Evolved by their normal method!

Miscellaneous Changes

Eggs now hatch incredibly quickly. Every species now has a 1-cycle hatch rate. Note this doesn’t apply to Event eggs or Traded eggs.

Switch Mode no longer reveals the incoming Pokémon.

Level 3 of the Hatching, Experience Gain, Friendship, and Money Gain O-Powers now last much longer.

Brendan and May have new outfits/designs.

Installation Instructions

Drag and Drop Installation (Recommended!)

Requirements: 3DS Family System with Luma3DS installed, Pokémon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire (Cartridge, eShop, or CIA install)

You must be on Luma3DS version 7.0 or higher. Any 3DS can install this by following Plailect’s 3DS Hacking Guide.

Download and unzip the 7z file for the version and Build you want to play.

Hold SELECT while booting your 3DS to open the Luma configuration menu.

Make sure “Enable Game Patching” is on, and press START to save the setting.

Copy the luma folder from the download to the root of your 3DS SD Card.

Launch Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. It will be modified into Rutile Ruby or Star Sapphire! An easy way to tell you did it right is the logo on the title screen, or Brendan/May’s new outfits.

Building a Custom CIA or *.3DS file

▶ Building Custom CIA/3DS File Instructions

Pokemon Ruby Randomizer Nuzlocke Download

You need a 3DS running Luma3DS CFW. All 3DS models can install CFW using this guide.

Installed Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire updates will cause conflicts with the Rutile Ruby or Star Sapphire mod when installed as a CIA or 3DS file. Uninstall any Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire updates before using a CIA or .3DS build of Rutile Ruby or Star Sapphire.

Download and unzip the 7z folder for the Version and Build you want to play. Make sure you unzip all of the files, it won’t work if you try to follow these instructions from inside the 7z file.

Follow these instructions to dump and decrypt your cartridge or installed copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire using Godmode9.

Place your decrypted ROM in Extra_Files. It should be named rom.cia or rom.3ds (depending on file type). It should look like this.

Run Extract_ROM.bat. A folder named “Extracted_ROM” should appear in Extra_Files. Don’t worry about any “uncompress error” or “extract file failed” errors.

Run Patch_ROM.bat. If you want to randomize your wild encounters, this batch file will give you the option to do so.

Run Rebuild_3DS.bat or Rebuild_CIA.bat to rebuild the ROM. The output file will be in Extra_Files, named Modified_ROM.3ds / Modified_ROM.cia. If you dumped the game as a CIA, you cannot rebuild it as a 3DS file as it will lack the proper header data. Don’t worry about any “create file failed” errors.

If you rebuilt as CIA, copy the new Modified_ROM.cia file to your SD card and install it with FBI. Back up your save first, installing the ROM hack CIA will overwrite your save!

If you rebuilt as .3DS for Gateway, your ROM needs to be re-encrypted. Copy the resulting Modified_ROM.3ds file to your 3DS SD Card and use Godmode9 to encrypt it. After re-encrypting your .3DS file, copy it to your Gateway MicroSD. Sky3DS cannot run ROM hacks because it can only run officially signed code.

Notes

Any retail cartridges in the “Requirements” area can be replaced by a Sky3DS cartridge, but a Sky3DS cartridge cannot run Rutile Ruby or Star Sapphire directly.

If you’re running this with HANS, it will use your regular OR/AS save file. To back up your original save file on a homebrew setup, use JKSV (included!). Do not delete your save with a save manager! Delete it from within the game itself otherwise it will become corrupted and not boot!

This ROM hack is capable of trading locally.

If using Hans to load the game, you can just run the game normally (from the 3DS System Menu) to play with updates active and online play enabled.

If you compiled and installed a .cia, a modified version of the OR/AS 1.4 Update is included that will allow you to play online. You’ll still be notified that an update is available (which you should NOT download), but your online features should work fine.

Since this hack makes no changes to save file structure, it works perfectly fine with Pokémon Bank.

If you’re using a .3ds or .cia build of the game, uninstall all updates to OR/AS before playing and don’t let the game update. If you update, you’ll lose features.

This is NOT designed for Nuzlocke play. It’s meant to be challenging by itself without the players imposing their own rules on themselves, and a Nuzlocke will most likely lead to early failure. Grinding can only get you so far: the Elite Four are all Lv100 and packing six Pokémon. Boss battles play out like competitive matches, with them often revenge killing you, setting up, or pulling out surprise moves. This almost guarantees that a player will have at least one or two of their Pokémon faint, which is fun in regular play.

If you insist on the Nuzlocke Challenge, I recommend you use the Leveled or 679 Build of the game.

Who the heck is my muse anyway?

Cyrus Akagi is the main antagonist of Pokemon’s D/P/Pt games. The Boss of sinister Team Galactic, he seeks to destroy this world and recreate it as one without the human spirit. This Cyrus in particular also serves as the CEO of Galactic Energy, a successful energy business stationed in Veilstone City.

Points of interest:

As stated, Cyrus is the CEO of a large company. He hosts various events to get his company known and to come across as a benevolent philanthropist to the public. He is known throughout Sinnoh, but not as much in the outer regions.

Cyrus is also highly religious and a believer in fate. In his youth, he revered the Sinnohan gods greatly but has since fallen out of faith in his later years. Still, he remains an avid lover of mythology and legends.

Though he shares it with few, Cyrus is an avid lover of astronomy. His past-times include making his own star charts and stargazing.

Cyrus is currently searching for a way to control the legendary pokemon of Sinnoh. Galactic Energy is a front for the more devious plans of Team Galactic, as a major energy supply for his plans is necessary. However, very few know that Cyrus is affiliated with both.

You can interact with Cy through several verses. In his main verse, he follows Platinum’s game plot. In a post-distortion world verse, he is wandering the regions. In my (favorite) god verse, he has succeeded in his plans and is currently thriving in his new world.

What they’ve been up to recently:

Verse: I want to Paint it Black (main): Looking for a way to capture the legendary Pokemon of Sinnoh. Cyrus has begun to branch out and make more connections with people, leading to both allies... and enemies. Galactic is thriving, and life is good.

Verse: All He Needs Is Love: Having been brought out of the Distortion World and stripped of all he owned, Cyrus has decided that he would control the last thing he had left: the end of his own life. To the girl who brought him home, Kimiko, he offers a bargain: one year to convince him that life is worth suffering through, or he wants to be euthanized. Now, she is determined to show Cyrus what it means to be loved, and how to love in return.

Verse: Rainbow Rocket: Cyrus has been dragged out of his perfect world to Alola, where he is aiding Sakaki with whatever is necessary to allow him to return home. Currently, he is making allies out of the island inhabitants and generally trying to enjoy the time he’s being forced to spend among his peers. (This is...probably the nicest version of Cyrus you’ll get.)

Where to find them:

Mostly in Sinnoh, around Veilstone City, but he travels as well. You could make any place work, given he has suitable interest in going for his company’s sake.

In the RR verse, he is hanging out exclusively in Alola.

Current plans:

In the verse with Kimiko, Cyrus will eventually come to realize that while he still longs for his world, he can make do here, so long as he has someone by his side. He learns emotions aren’t all that bad.

Desired interactions:

Business partners. Cyrus is always needing/looking for more people that could benefit his business. Be it CEOs of their own companies, or just people with connections!

Pure, unbridled, hatred. No, he’s not the best guy. Have a muse that constantly wants to rip his throat out? Let’s go for it!

Those in his Perfect World. In Cyrus’ new Earth, people tend to get... dropped in. Want to experience a world without spirit? Come right in. He’ll work on finding you a way out and you can see the joyless existence that is Cyrus’ vision.

Commander Shenanigans. Quite possibly the only few people he enjoys, I’d love to play stuff out with Cyrus’ top ranking underlings.

New Employees. Your character needs a job? Galactic is always hiring!

Legendary Pokemon. Cyrus reveres and respects most of them. He’d love to talk to some face to face and get a new perspective.

Childhood Friends. I’d love for Cy to get to re-meet people he may have known as a kid. Puts a different spin on things!

Offered interactions:

Boss. As stated before-- need a job? Cyrus can offer you a position, and even a chance to join Team Galactic if you’re the criminal type.

An awkward companion. Restricted to RR verse mostly. While on Alola, he’s forced to see and meet people-- and who knows? Maybe some of them will grow on him. He’ll certainly grow on you.

An antagonist. Goes without saying. Want to save the world? Here’s a guy for you to fight.

Want your muse to be emotionally manipulated and made to believe only Cyrus knows and cares for their general well-being? Boy, do I got news for you!

A mentor. Wanna learn about machinery and stargazing?

Want your pokemon or god another god? Step on up.

Heck, is your muse distantly related to Cyrus? Ok, alright, let’s roll with it. He needs a family.

#560 KL Rahul shows his class in giving Punjab another win; Mujeeb and Rashid star again for their respective teams; Dropped catches and poor planning cost DD and RCB; KKR make a mess of a chase against MI; They needed just 60 runs from 46 balls with 8 wickets in hand and lost from there; Barca continue their unbeaten run in la Liga to 35 matches; Bale equalizes for Real Madrid in final stages in El Classico and more...:-)

RCB form has been shaky in 2018. They choke against CSK most of the time and 5-May match was no exception. RCB did right by bringing in Parthiv for De Kock. Parthiv gave RCB a good starts as they raced to 47-1 in 6 overs. Dhoni introduced Jadeja and he castled Kohli right away. Bhajji got ABD stumped in next over. It was a struggle post that. Parthiv scored a well-made 53. RCB fell from 47-1 to 89-9. Southee hit some lusty blows to give RCB a respectable score of 127. Bhajji and Jadeja had spell of 8-0-40-5 between them. Only Southee and Parthiv reached double figures. RCb had to pick early wickets to make a match of it. Umesh castled Watson . CSK 18-1. Kohli did a blunder by keeping spinners to later stage. Of first 11 overs, only 2 overs of spin was bowled by Chahal. That was shocking considering what impact Jadeja and Bhajji had made. CSK were 78-2 in 11 overs. Match was as good as over. Ashwin and Grandhomme picked Rayadu and Shorey to give RCb hope. CSK 80-4. Could have been 80-5 or even 6 had RCb grabbed catches. Bravo was dropped twice. Dhoni and Bravo won the match for CSK with 2 overs to spare. RCB need to think as to why they did no planning in bidding stage. No thought process of what players they want. Sarfraz was retained but hardly given opportunities. No local India talent who have been in form (Rahul, Manish, Karun, etc ) were even bid for.

In 2nd match, Delhi Daredevils scored a competitive 163-5 thanks to 65 by Prithvi. Rashid was again star for SRH with 2-23. Maxwell dropped Hales early on. Hales made use of that chance. He and Dhawan had a 76 run opening stand in 9 overs. Both fell soon after SRH 86-2. Manisha dn Williamson found it tough to hit boundaries. Manish got dismissed with 32 needed of 17 balls. Yusuf came in. He was dropped twice and survived a LBW dismissal (overturned by 3rd umpire). He made full use of luck in hitting 26 runs of 11 balls to give SRH another win. SRH have made a habit to win matches from losing positions. They are on a roll like CSK. It’s for other teams to catch up with them.

MI hosted KKR in Mumbai. Lewis hit a 28 ball 43 and Surya hit another fifty to give MI a brilliant start. They had 91 run opening stand in 56 balls. MI lost wickets at regular intervals post that. MI just managed 181-4.Russell and Narine starred with the ball. KKR started poorly as they lost both openers early. Shbman opened with Lynn and failed. KKR 28-2 in 3.1 overs. Uthappa and Rana then gave KKR the momentum. Uthappa hit his first IPL 2018 fifty. That gave KKR hope. Uthappa scored 35 ball 56 before being dismissed. KKR 112-3. 60 was needed of 45 at that stage. MI bowlers then did a comeback. They dismissed Rana soon. DK and Russell found it tough to accelerate. When Russell got out, 51 was needed of 20 balls. DK hit some lusty blows. It came down to 37 from 12 balls. DK hit a six and 2 fours and target came down to 23 from last over. Duminy dropped Dk of last over. Narine hit a boundary from first ball of last over of Krunal. 19 needed of 5. Narine got out next ball. Krunal kept his nerve and give MI 2nd consecutive win. They are still alive. They need to win 4 of last 4 games. They have got momentum now which is key for MI. they usually play brilliantly when pushed against the wall unlike RCB team.

RR were decently placed at 82-2 in 11th over thanks to 50+ stand by Butler and Samson. Mujeeb turned it around for RR. From 85-2, RR were reduced to 114-7. Stokes again failed with the bat. Shreyas Gopal hit a few blows in last 3 overs to give RR a respectable total of 152. But they looked like getting at 180 at one stage. Mujeeb starred with ball with 3-27 spell. Afghan spinners are making big mark in this IPL. Butler topped RR score with a well made 51. Punjab lost Gayle and Mayank. Punjab 29-2. Karun and Rahul then consolidated Punjab innings. After 50 run stand, Karun was castled by Anureet. Axar was dismissed soon after. Punjab 87-4. 68 was needed from 43 balls at this stage. Rahul took center stage post that and gave Punjab a much needed win . Punjab won by 6 wickets with 8 balls to spare. Rahul stayed unbeaten at 84 which came of 54 balls. He is brilliant form now

Though La Liga and EPL winner has been decided, it was interesting to observe what will happen to final set of matches. Man City were held to a goalless draw by Huddersfield. Chelease beat Liverpool 1-0. Arsenal thrashed Burnley 5-0. ManU are positioned at 2nd position at this stage at 77 points. Liverpool are at 3rd spot with 72 points. Spurs are at 4th with 71 points but have 1 additional game in hand. Chelsea are at 5th spot. In La Liga, it is rare to see winner of league decided before EL Classico. Such has ben Barca domination in La Liga this season who have stayed unbeaten throughout. Suarez gave Bara early lead in 10th minute only for Ronaldo to equalize 4 minutes later. Messi gave Barca another lead post break. Barca were left with just 10 men by then. Just when it looked like Barca would beat Real again Bale equalized for Real in 72nd minute. Barca are still undefeated in La Liga though which is staggering considering they have played 35 matches and only 3 matches are remaining in the season to be played.
