Inuyasha released an indignant sigh, letting his head fall back out of inconvenience before lifting it and peering down at Kagome, “I wouldn’t’ve agreed to bein’ his best man, if I knew it meant I had to do stuff,” Inuyasha rebutted, feeling Kagome smack his chest playfully in response. “Yeah right,” she replied, giving him a knowing look as she ran both hands down to his chest, “You couldn’t say no to Miroku when it came to this, you and I both know that.” Releasing a sigh, Inuyasha wrapped his other arm around her waist, keeping her pressed against him as he reluctantly agreed, “Yeah, you’re right. Doesn’t mean I gotta like it.” “Well, regardless of whether you like it or not, you better start thinking of something, big guy,” Kagome half scolded, patting one of his pecs with her hand before pulling away. Reluctantly, Inuyasha allowed her to do so, letting his arms fall to his sides as he stood in place with a sense of confusion as Kagome walked towards the passenger side door. “Big guy?” Inuyasha repeated out loud, hearing Kagome give off a small giggle as she opened the door, slid into the car, and closed the door behind her.

this truly is the hardest question. :( but after much consideration, I think Endless Halloween Night wins out for me, because it's nonstop Characters Being Silly the whole way through. the whole thing is just lots of these little dorks having the most ridiculous interactions, which is always my favorite! and of course the big twist is SO delightfully stupid and doubles down SO hard that it becomes AMAZING and I 100% unironically adore it. AND it's Halloween! everyone is in their cute little costumes and having a spooky adventure! it's great!

however, I am ALSO a big fan of the Harveston event! how can I not be! everyone is wearing comfy winter outfits and getting along really weirdly well with Epel's grandma and he's getting a little worried about that! my terrible loud son sews a plush squirrel and then gives it a silly little nickname and refuses to leave it behind when it breaks! the ending shot with the sled! I LOVE IT.

obviously we need the best of both worlds now

Ok well then maybe y’all shouldn’t have spent the past couple of years complaining about Likes, about how they do nothing, about how insulting it is to get a like instead of a reblog!

Yes, reblogs ARE the lifeblood of the site and they ARE the only way to ensure posts reach new audiences since most users never look at the For You tab or “based on your likes” or whatever.

HOWEVER. You were never going to get anyone to reblog every single post that they like or enjoy or smile at. Maybe they just reblogged something similar. Maybe they’ve seen it on their dash five times today and don’t feel like cluttering up their followers’ dashes with it. Maybe they like it but don’t think most of their followers would be interested. Maybe they just don’t feel the need to display every post that ever made them smile on their own blog.

But now people feel awkward or guilty about liking a post without reblogging it. Now sure, some of the time that will lead to them reblogging something they originally weren’t going to, but most of the time it just means they’re not going to interact with the post at all, because they think liking it will just piss off the OP.

So don’t complain about people using the like button as a more passive way to interact and show appreciation, then turn around and say we don’t need a boop button to do that because we already have a like button.
