i gave them 5 fingers cuz somehow drawing 3 fingers is harder than drawing a full hand

i combined their old outfits and the finale/movie outfits. i feel like they would add more personalization to their gear cuz they all have different styles

 when talking abt raph’s eyes i mention that he has the “most turtle dna”, its in quotes cuz what i’m really talking abt is how he was a regular turtle for a while before he was mutated. i dunno i feel like it would have a small effect

i made all their plastrons flat. its flat on turtles normally so i think its interesting that in the show’s style they draw that bump

thinking about how percy’s mother named him after perseus, one of the only greek heroes to have had a happy ending, in hopes that her son would avoid the tragedy that befell most heroes and instead have a long and fulfilling life. and how she told him that he would not only be a hero, but be the greatest hero of all. and how percy was ultimately declared to have risen above every hero in tlo and saw that he will live a long life and is implied that he will die peacefully.

thinking about how jason’s mother didn’t even want to name him jason and how he was only named after the greek hero in order to abate a goddess’s wrath. how that still wasn't enough, so she ended up abandoning him to the gods as a sacrifice of sorts. and how the main purpose of jason’s entire life from that point was to be in service of the gods. how jason the hero died miserable and alone. and how jason spent his last months adrift from everything and everyone he once knew and loved, and ultimately died alone.

random but rewatched this tangled song to take notes on how to draw golden hair (for prince jesse ofc🤧) and it p much confirms what I thought before... the look of shininess is created when there's lots of contrast...

u can see in these stills her hair is not just a medium yellow/blonde the entire time but has (fairly big!) areas of dark brown as well as super bright highlights when in direct light... im gonna make a note to be more liberal with the darker sections when drawing golden blonde hair🤔 bc we(or at least I) normally just think of blonde hair as being yellow so we might not consider there to also be dark brown in it...

is obito the only uchiha who does not experience eye-sight deterioration from the mangekyou? like ... it just occured to me that he first of all does not ever seem to shut off his sharingan. and. he does not get his eyes fucked up even tho he does use mangekyou techniques all the time?? his kamui. he uses it All The Time. does he not need to activate his mangekyou for this? since we also dont see the mangekyou thru the mask .. we only ever see his base sharingan which i guess duh, since it otherwise wouldve immediately given away his identity (to the reader) cuz its the same as kakashi's .. but. in-universe? how does this work. lol
