my church's sermon this sunday was all about having a less busy life. which on the surface sounds fine and good and healthy even but they didn't take it in a healthy direction. they told the congregation that we should spend less time on our hobbies. we should spend less time on the internet, talking to friends and spend more time praying, doing bible study, etc.

and it just feels so gross. they're telling us to flatten our interests, spend less time on forming meaningful connections, and spend more time on *self indoctrination*

i made the mistake of telling my mom that it upsets me when she goes on about how she wishes i had a license and could drive, so i could go visit her and stuff.. but like.. i can't drive because of anxiety and overstimulation issues.. i wish i could

anyways i told her that it makes me upset when she constantly makes me feel bad for not having a license, so now she thinks its funny to bring it up even more

i just sent her a picture of my cat and she writes back "she looks mad.. probably because you can't drive her anywhere".. or yesterday she told me she had some mulch delivered, and it's "too bad i can't drive to come over and help". like she finds every excuse to say that shit to me now.

so now i just respond with tarantula gifs. she's absolutely terrified of spiders and has told me to not show her my spiders or anything because it really scares her, even just pictures, so you know what.. fuck her lmao, if that's the game she wants to play i hope she enjoys seeing a spider every time she says that shit to me now

also my parents: no trace of cptsd/anxiety/did, no disorders making it difficult to socialize or function, no reservations about leaving their kids in the care of their own parents so they can go have fun, no restrictions on their careers or willpower due to their past, readily blaming every single problem on their own children, feeling guilt free and shame free about their every action, no grief weighing them down for months, happy to take all of their frustrations out on their kids
