This might be a hot take but I get so tired of the internets mentality of IT'S EITHER OR.
Either you buy the game nd u therefore don't give a shit about trans pple or you never touch the HP fandom w a ten foot pole again and you're ✨clensed✨
I understand both sides of this conflict so deeply.
As a nonbinary person born in a country where you still have to get sterilised in order to change your legal gender, I can come close to the outrage the trans community is feeling at people so easily compromising their principles and support for them over something like this.
But I also remember the toughest parts of my life as a neurodivergent person being stuck in depression nd anxiety and my fandoms being ny o ly reason to live and keep going. We can't control our hyperfixations and sometimes they're all we have.
All that being said I believe THERE IS A FUCKING MIDDLE GROUND.
You can absolutely, privately or publicly, consume or create HP related content without monetarily supporting JKR. JUST PIRATE THE GAME. Wait a while if you have to, you don't have to abandon your interests but you can do the bare minimum to make sure your consumption doesn't do more harm than it absolutely has to. PIRATE THE BOOKS. PIRATE THE GAMES. THE MOVIES. DON'T BUY OFFICIAL MERCH. DIY YOUR OWN MERCH. Buy stuff from fan artists whose wiews you know and support. CREATE FAN CONTENT THAT IMPROVES ON JKRS STEREOTYPE FILLED INTERPRETATIONS OF THE CHARACTERS.
The content is *yours*. Rip it from that bitch's hands and RUN WITH IT but for the love of god DON'T CONTINUE GIVING HER MONEY AND PUBLICITY
IT'S THE LEAST YOU CAN DO for your fellow trans folk out here.

What is your Hogwarts house?
Deadendor because I already never liked Harry Potter before the JKReckoning of 2020.
One day I'll do a good old rant abt how Harry Potter is screwed over and posit the only ways ppl who still love it and are hurt by the author can make artfiction in protest, but otherwise please don't bring up Hogwats and Harry P.

Slytherin Enjolras and Squib Grantaire, more perfect than you can imagine!!!
Only I think that if Enjolras was from some Hogwarts house, he would be a Slytherin. But of course, contrary to what imagine, he would not condone the idea of “Pure-blood”, on the contrary, he would be that ambitious, cunning and determined Slytherin who fights against prejudices both those who are impregnated in Slytherin, as well as with what common-sense think of the people in this house.
1) He would be against the Hogwarts house system, and would walk down the halls wearing a multicolored scarf from every four house. Would claim that dividing students into houses where they 'meet their peers' is harmful because it minimizes contact between different people and makes that students do not know how to deal with the diversity of ideas, that the house system is similar to the caste system where one does not mix with the other. That's why Enjolras despises it.
2) Of course he is also in favor of Muggle-borns, seeing them as equals and admiring them as strong and resilient people who enter a whole new world and still have to deal with a lot of prejudices. He is willing defend them and accept them.
3) Just as it is in favor of Squibs study at Hogwarts and be inserted in the wizarding world too, in an adapted way. After all, the biggest problem against Squibs is the preconception, not the fact that Squibs can't do magic. A Squib studying at Hogwarts would reveal all the hypocrisy and prejudice in the wizarding world.
Enjolras would show that wizards are highly elitist and prejudiced, segregating people and judging them by what they can or cannot do.
He would still be against people who say that "it is better for Squibs to integrate and live in Muggle society", he would question: better for whom? Better not to show that wizarding society is prejudiced and promotes segregation simply for what people are or aren't?
He would argue that Squibs could live peacefully in wizarding society and even work in it. They JUST CAN'T DO MAGIC, the rest they can do everything!
People would be against his argument, but he wouldn't be intimidated. If someone questioned saying "but how would they study here if they can't use magic?", he would show them that even they as witches don't stay there doing magic 24 hours a day. Most of student life is used to learn the magic and knowledge of the magical world in a THEORETICAL way!!
In other words, anyone can do it. Was it really that impossible for Squibs to make potions, deal with magical creatures and objects, narrate Quidditch games? etc ...
He would say: Most things in student life could easily be adapted for them without any problem!!! Perhaps they were even better at those activities that didn't require direct magic than any wizard.
Enjolras would be outraged that the wizarding world is so ridiculous that they say Squibs can't be part of the wizarding community just because it doesn't do magic. He say: Hey, break the witches' wand to see if they're that different from Squibs and Muggles!!! MOST wizards are totally dependent on the wand to do magic. Take that little wooden stick out of this extensive MOST idiotic wizards and what's left??
-Ron himself spent a good part of Chamber of Secrets with his wand all broken, barely getting the spells right, and still managed to complete the year!!!
-And wizard children can't do magic outside of school, so how can they live without doing magic? They live well without doing spells or they will be punished, right? If they live without doing magic outside the school, that's the same as being a Squib, all right? they can't even do Wand-Lighting Charm -lumos- at home, I remember fans of the book criticized this in the movie.
So it's the biggest slander to say that you need to use magic to study at that school!
4) Enjolras would also see with horror that wizards think they are better and more "evolved" than any other magical creature as well. What would he think of that: This wizarding society looks like those ancient elitist societies, with petty people who think they're better than others, a bunch of snobbish and presumptuous.
Because of this he would admire a lot of the Muggle world and Muggle literature as well, he particularly loves the French Revolution and its repercussions. He thinks that Muggle-borns, Squibs and marginalized creatures of the wizarding world must fight oppression like the French revolutionaries fought on their barricades!!!
Of course many of the Slytherins HATE him and his ideas, as do many of the purist parents. But like every Slytherin Enjolras has ambition, cunning, perseverance and contempt for pre-established rules. And Enjolras was firm in his beliefs, even terrible, if he had to defend them! He will do anything to defend his ideas and would even fight and die for what he believes in!!
And of course Grantaire is a Squib, one who was despised by his father for not doing magic!! And he is a skeptic. As much as he doesn't believe any of the things that Enjolras says and craves, Grantaire loves, admires and venerate Enjolras. Because nothing greater than a skeptic's adherence to a believer, is it?
Grantaire is fascinated that just a Slytherin is the one who is dreaming of all that, besides Enjolras is beautiful and wonderful!! And of course he is reciprocated in his love, because Enjolras doesn't mind loving an squib.

FBAA characters x Hogwarts houses
Firstly, Poppy is a Gryffindor. She is brave, courageous and would put her life on stake to protect her people.
Cas, he is definitely a Slytherin. I mean, he was literally known as the dark one! Also, he was ready to damn the whole world, if it meant saving Poppy!
I feel like Delano is a Hufflepuff. Don't ask me why, his vibe just screams Hufflepuff to me! Vikter was a Hufflepuff too! Tawny is also Hufflepuff!
Vonetta is a Gryffindor.
I know we haven't had much interaction with him, but I think Reaver is a Slytherin. He is sassy, loves to rile Kieran up, has an affinity toward violence and never listens to anyone, at all. (except Poppy ofc)
And lastly, my husband! As much as I would love to say Kieran is a Hufflepuff, it is clear that he is smart, really smart. (I mean Casteel is also smart, he literally spent his whole childhood with his nose in a book!) But, what I am saying is Kieran is the brain of the group. He is more sensible, rational and responsible than the others.
