Name Ten Female Directors:

Hey, People!

As a wannabe screenwriter, director and producer--I've been doing a little research and coming across a disturbing trend where women are not encouraged to become filmmakers. This is a major: WTF moment! Right, ladies?

I'm not trying to say we can do it better than our male counterparts, all I'm saying is: Give us a damned opportunity! You can't become better at a thing if you don't fall on your face, get some bumps, bruises and scrapes. Just keep going.

This is just the beginning of a long-term project I'm at the very beginning of. If you want to hear more and support the cause: keep reading!

With that in mind, I am posting the names of a few female directors that I can come up with off the top of my head which will not equal ten and do not represent my favorite filmmakers.
